Yeah considering its just a bumper. I don't remember the last time i send more then $15 for a case. If it was some high end case with good material i might pay $30.

Shows it on the preorder page. Currently 87/1400 with 30 days to go.
JUST PREORDERED! #89!
This is going to be the case that keeps our ONEPLUS protected but gives us our precious back which we all love to feel!
PREORDER PEOPLE!
Idk if we'll get enough people to pre-order to even get this bumper made. I mean It's still in the double digits.
There is 30 days left and they will give you a refund if they dont get enough. This is by far the most beastly case you can get for our phone. PREORDER SO WE CAN GET THIS SICK CASE! There is no reason not too!
If they reach 70% of there goal they start production so lets get there!
#96 here
You have nothing to lose, money will be returned if they don't make the 1400. Plus it's only day 3, and there are 30 days left! That's on track for 3000+.

There is a big reason not too purchase this case. Look at the damn high price! With this money I could purchase fuel for my Simson bike to drive it over a half year!

Well if you look at an Otterbox they start at $40 bucks. This is a premium case for our beautiful phone. The company has incredible screen protectors and there cases have proven to be really protective.
I want to protect my device but still have the back open. This is the case to do that.
If you don't want a one of a kind case for our device than don't purchase. This is basically the only high end case from a high end company, I pre-ordered right away.
1500 pre-orders... lol...
So they want you to pre order a bumper for $30 without seeing it.
You know you CAN see the one they made for the iPhone.
Personally, I am not a fan of bumper cases, I do realize that the bulk of the damage on a phone happens on its' sides but I just can't help it, I want a case that covers the back too. That's why my favorite kind of cases are the hybrid "TPU on the sides + a hard back" type.
I can however understand the guys that want to see and touch the back too, especially one as unique as the One's.
If this bumper came fused to a hard back too I could prolly see myself paying the 30+ USD price.
Use a rubber band.

This is NOT a casing, it's a mere bumper. An Otterbox is a fully protective casing.
$30 for a bumper only; or,
$40 for a fully protective casing.
Which do you think is more valuable? Unless Evolutive Labs show us the design and prove that their bumper really works on this device, I'm not buying this. You cannot believe them right away by watching their iPhone demo. The iPhone is thicker and is easier to get protection from the bumpers. The OnePlus One is very thin and how do you think a bumper (unless bulky), is going to protect the device?
And no, they have NO cases sold or made and used by the consumers. There is nothing to be proven. The iPhone crashguard is still in the Kickstarter stage. Nobody have used it, nobody have proved that their crashguard actually works. This is Evolutive Labs's first take on a bumper.
While I do like their screen protector, but there are still some things that I'm not satisfied but I'm not going into that here. Well, it's up to you. It's your money after all. Okay, how about you prove it to us that it works when it gets on your hands (IF this thing actually make it into production)? For science, of course.

I just ordered the Otterbox Commuter series for the EVO. I let you know how it is. If anyone wants to order I found a coupon code that gives you free shipping and 10% off.
Here it is: tb810z
That should get you the free shipping(FEDEX) and 10% off.
By the way, does anyone know anything about the screen protector that is included. Is it any good? Is it clear or antiglare? I have a boxwave crystal clear on now, but I just scratched it up and need to replace and don't know if I should wait to see how the protector is. Anyone who has gotten the Otterbox's before, how are the included screen protectors?

i swear some of you people that buy these otterbox cases are "iphone type people" lol
Look at my otterbox it pwns yur case for realz
I'll stick with my tpu case that saved my phone from many drops with no marks. It doesn't take much to protect the phone. It definitely doesn't take how much otterbox charges. It isn't like it costs them any more to make their cases. They just charge more because they can.
The convertible designed one has it's perks of course, but should still be half the price it is.

Just spent $200 on a glass touch screen phone. I'll gladly pay $35 for piece of mind. Most of the cases released for the evo kind of, if not totally suck. The case is just way better designed.

Thanks for the lol
I think $35 is worth peace of mind and I used to spend a fair amount on protecting my devices but when I got my EVO I realized this phone comes in a beautiful case that HTC provided as part of the package. I don't even want to cover the thing up and $7/mo buys a fair amount of peace.
If I were still working in an environment where it was likely my phone would be badly damaged over time then I would absolutely fork out the cash. Fortunately my EVO is safe and sound all by itself in my front left pocket.
The otterboxes set the standard, IMO. But they really dropped the ball on this. I'd like to know why it took them so long, out of curiosity. Did it really take them this long to fill a projected first order? Did they not see the EVO as a priority?
Just ordered mine. I am travelling on the 17th, hope it comes before that with Fedex Ground.
dang hopefully the defender is ready soon. the next test will be if the defender case will fit in the siedo car mout
I believe I just found the perfect case for the Motorola Xoom!
I really love the original Motorola Xoom Portfolio case but the fact that is leaving scratches on the Xoom and most importantly the missing angle for typing on it, was keeping me away from buying it.
It looks like this case I just found is completely identical with the original one, extremely similar design but with an extra adjustment for typing! Hopefully it doen't leave scratches too!
I beleive this is what most people are looking forward to..

And still no port for charging while closed.
This case will probably leave scratches 2.
It's very similar to the popular Toblino iPad case, which is well liked.
I actually reached out to the manufacturer of this case. The reply back was:
"The price for this case is 5.0usd/pc,MOQ is 300pcs." ... sadly I'm not an importer and am not willing to take the risk to import 300 units and resell them! Even at $5 each!
Hopefully someone will pick it up for distribution in the U.S.
FYI, the KeviKev case is available on Alibaba as well, for significantly less $$$... the markup is pretty severe on that case.

Yes it is availible on there as well now get a quote for genuine leather not the $5 PU man made stinky stuff, add the shipping import taxes customs duties shipping supplies federal taxes state taxes cost of operating, web fees paypal fees ebay fees ect ect and i bet you would be amazed at what they wind up costing. Now look at the flimsy cheap motorola OEM case that sells for the same price, who's mark up is worse? and as you said you wouldnt take the risk at $5 That $5 ends up being $30 by the time you add everything up,Thanks

@kevikev ... your points are exactly why I wouldn't take the risk. Note I didn't cut your business down for doing the importing... in fact I think you're doing a great job and a fantastic service to the Xoom community. Bravo. If you peruse the forums, here and at the owner support site, you'll quickly notice I've been pimping your cases... because of these reasons. As a matter of fact, I was one of the first to note it and drive people to your site and ebay auction. So, be nice! I'm allowed to have an opinion kevikev!
That said... $48 is still pretty steep for a case... including the crappy moto case I purchased on day 1. Not to say I wouldn't pay that much for a decent leather case... with proper cutouts of course ;-)

While I get this mentality. The Dixtronic case is really cheap and one of the best designs for me. It is really thin, made with quality material, and covers all the edges. I would be willing to pay more for a case, but if they only want to charge me 9 bucks for the case I am looking for... More power to them.
And yes... I did cut out a hole for the volume buttons (that was a poor design choice).

I have it. Nothing much to review really, it's just your usual generic TPU case.
If you insist on one, a redditor posted this Orzly TPU case review (which I'm almost sure is the same one really, just with a higher price tag):
On a personal note - I quite like it. Fits the device well with ports for everything. Pressing the volume/power button can be a tad harder, but nothing major really. Is quite "grippy"/rough on the back. I also have a tempered glass screen protector (by Orzly) and it seems to cover that up too with almost no buffer left (with less of a "bump"', obviously, between the screen and the top of the case).
In any case, you really can't go wrong with a dollar. You'll surely find something better down the line in a month or so (see the Diztonic case that's coming), but this is good, even if you'll only use it until a better one comes out.

When ordering my device from AliExpress I ordered the TPU case bundled with it, for exactly the reason I mentioned previously - so I have something up until a better case comes along.
I ordered it to the UK, but I'm sure that if you have Amazon or eBay locally you can find a seller that can ship that to quite fast.

But again, you can't go wrong with a dollar, I mean, you probably paid more to get to work today than on this case, so even if you served you protection for a couple of hours it's still worth it, time/money-wise.
Thanks for sharing

I wish I could find just one of these that would get to the US in less than a week, everything is from China or UK.
Anyone find any TPU that ships from the US?

Wait for the diztronic case it'll be ready by the end of the week is the estimated date. Keep a eye out on the diztronic thread. It'll cost $10 but is of high quality.

I guess I'll have to. I hate letting my phone go naked for even 2 hours, I may just keep it in the box until I get my hands on the diztronic.
$10 isn't that much considering I spend almost that much on a Chipotle burrito for lunch...

yeah I saw that, looks really nice.
I ordered the $1 TPU just in case too, never hurts to have too many.
Won't get here for 3 weeks, but it's just a dollar...
I saw these tempered glass screenies I think I'll get too (just use some $1 ones till these come in)
http://www.amazon.com/Ebestsale-Pro...8&sr=8-27&keywords=tempered+glass+oneplus+one
3 of them for only $13 shipped is pretty amazing. I wonder if they are any different in quality than the $20 ones, I mean tempered glass is tempered glass, right?

Some are thinner, some have curved sides, and some have better oleophobic coatings.

thinness? not really, curved edges? yes, they feel better and are less likely to chip
Is there a Diztronic supplier in the UK?
Gonna get this in the meantime I think http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360965245307 - not 99p but cheap enough until I find something better

link?
Has anyone got the UAG Monarch case for the S8 Plus? Is it worthy of the price? Is the drop protection really that good? Any downsides? Thanks
personal reference.
Yes, It's worth it.
Very Premium looking without the bulk and over priced sticky plastic like other Brand "otter whatever b0x".
When you have it in your hand, make you feel like climb mountains or hike some trails. ^_~
Protection is real good, haven't tested myself, but I feel like it will stand up against my daily oops, but have not yet slipped.
I Have their other style case the "plasma series" for a while and them when through some beating and came out the winner.
Felt down a 6 flight of stairs like it didn't happen. dog chew on it and slid on some pebbles ground, case side with just some scuffs in the case. And this Monarch is, even more, protections, so I say Yes, drop test certified.
And "10 years warranty, what other cases have it? Not that anyone will ever need it, who uses a smartphone more than 10yrs, right.
Works with lots of case friendly GlassSP.
Downside,? to me, NON.
Because it's just what I expect my case to be like. Protection, looks, mini bulk.
But for most People who like to show off the beautiful backside of their Gorgeous phone. Then this is not the right case.
I think the time looking for cases are over for me.
UAG Monchach will be on every one of my phones.
I love it. I'm not about to test the drop protection, but I had a UAG case on my S4 and it served me quite well. Considering that a comparable otter box is 50 bucks, I felt like this was worth it.
I have had bad luck with this brand. Owned three for different tablets and all of them had faults. Not used on on a mobile though as for me they look just too industrial given the S8+ is such an elegant mobile I feel this case is just OTT. It will, or should, protect the mobile BUT many cases do and do so looking much more in line with the aesthetic of this beautiful looking mobile.
I totally accept its a preference and respect those that do use this brand. One last point they are truly hideously priced in Europe. The last UAG case I bought was for the Surface Pro 4. Cost me 70€! Developed a fault so went back for a full refund. I understand the case for the S8+ is 50€!

You say industrial, I say rugged. I've always liked the look of these cases. Imo it turns an elegant phone into a rugged phone when needed. There aren't very phone cases that are this minimal but still leaves your phone feeling protected.
Thanks for the replies! Yes they are £50 in the UK which is about 59 euros. Everything is really expensive here, now. Just need to find the Monarch in stock now.
Ever since having phones that UAG didn't support I started using cases from Supcase and have never went back to UAG's overpriced cases. They literally use the same materials and the protection is equal, but at 1/5th the price and fast shipping through Amazon. I also think their cases look better IMO. Save your money and try out a Supcase and if you don't like it send it back.

Now try and find a screen saver to protect that screen! Good luck with that.

I've got some protectors that will do the job for now. They are very thin and quite soft TPU, not the most protective but they can be trimmed if needed so are ok with cases :good:

Same here. After using UAG and Otter, the Supcase Unicorn Beetle is my goto now. I mean a 10yr warranty is great but whose going to have the same mobile in 10yrs? I tried the Spigen Tough Armor and it didnt feel like it held the phone well, and didnt give enough lift to the phone screen off my desktop to make me comfortable. The Supcase is well worth the price so far. Considering its $18 US, with the belt clip. Its survived 2 falls so far no damage :good:
To me it is. I have 10 cases for my S8+ and I use it the most.

You own 10 cases for your mobile? You must be very fashion conscious.
