Unable to connect to USB, after update? - Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, 10.1, 8.4 Q&A, Help & Trouble

Hello guys, I hope I can get some help over here.
When I received my galaxy tab pro 12.2, my galaxy tab pro 12.2 can't be connected to any usb device nor the pc's usb port. The last time I remember I plugged my tablet to the pc and transfered files to it was like 1 and a half months ago, then I updated my tablet, then last week (I had no need to connect my tablet to my pc until last week) I needed to transfer some files to my tablet but it didn't work, I don't get the typical sound Windows makes when you plug in a device, it doesn't appear on the device manager, I tried it on 3 different laptops and it still didnt work, on my tablet I only get a red cross on the battery sign at the top right of the screen, I tried to connect it also with an mlh adapter to the TV, and no success so far.
Has anybody else had that problem?

[Q] No USB connection to the PC

Due to the certain amount of posts I must have to ask this question here I'm asking it in this subforum.
Basically I can't connect my Ace 2 to PC. I'm currently on 4.4.3 from slv96, and first time I plugged my device to PC it was fine. So I got it out, played a little and now I'm stuck because when I connect my phone to the cable it's charging but there's no info or data whatsoever on the computer. I've tried this on-off debugging mode but with no succes. I've also tried to connect my Ace 2 to Acer A500 Tablet. A500 can't display the content on my phone (no biggie) but there was a sign on both devices that the Ace 2 is plugged, which is absent on the PC.
So that's what's up. If anyone could help me with this issue - that would be great.

How to Backup without PC

Hey all!
I have a Tab Pro 10.1 and can't get it to connect to my PC. I have 3 PC's and the Tab Pro comes up in Device Manager as an "unknown USB device". I've spent two days reading forums and trying different things but am now ready to admit defeat.
The Tab needs to go in for warranty to a battery issue sorted and I want to backup the tablet (including all of the apps and save games).
Anyone have any idea how I can do this successfully without a PC?
Cheers.

Android File Transfer not working for Mac

Anyone else having issues connecting Pixel XL to Mac via Android File Transfer? I had no issues with my Note 5, but the Pixel XL will not stay connected. It shows that its connecting and then I get the pop up that reads: "If your device's screen is locked, disconnect its USB cable, unlock your screen, and then reconnect the USB cable." My screen is unlocked and all...
I had issues with AFT as well. Resorted to just pushing my content via ADB. Alternatively, you could use AirDroid and just copy the content over via Wi-Fi.
same here with Google Pixel and Macbook Pro Retina late 2014
I know in the past if you've had Kies installed on your system AFT wouldn't work. Have to remove every trace of it to get AFT to connect.
Works fine for me. I selected "transfer files" from the usb options when it popped up and relaunched AFT
We are facing something similar with Google Pixel on Mac environment with Android File Transfer. Same rig used with same cables & Samsung Galaxy S7 is working perfect.
Getting the same thing when connecting my Pixel XL to my MacBook Pro running Sierra
Same issue with my Pixel and 2015 Retina Pro running El Capitan. Any solution?
Am I the only one without an issue? Have you selected the correct setting on the phone?
I'm using the Pixel XL with El Capitan on a 2015 Macbook Pro Retina and a Cable Matters brand cable
.any help here from anyone?
In case the default Android File Transfer tool can't help you transfer/move files between your Pixel and Mac, here are a few alternatives you should try, both wired and wirelessly.

Adt transfers files... But not all on mac...u won't be able to transfer mp3s,bin etc filetypes...
for what its worth, works fine for me.
Had the same issue, removed all Samsung Stuff and Kies, and then still didnt work, found this article and did what it said and works perfect, basically the USB cable plugged into computer is default to be used as charging, http://alvinalexander.com/android/a...app-cant-access-device-storage-solved-working
No, I already know that you need to change your phone into transfer file mode. I think most people know that, you have had to do it for quite sometime now... I can't even remember when you didn't have to do this step. For me and many others it is not working.
My Pixel wouldn't talk to my Mac for the first few days. After that for some reason AFT started working and all is good now. Hope you get it working.
same problem, constantly errors during the file transfer, the files that actually make it on to the phone the apps dont read.

Click to collapse
I am also getting it with my mac air and pixel xl. My work around has been airdroid for now.

The error I am getting is "Cannot replace file" "Cannot copy file"; I don't think this is same issue as what is reported here, so I opened a new thread. Thanks in advance for any insight!
Airdroid is garbage since the new 4.0 update.

PC does not recongnize the Tablet

since more than 6 months the PC or Laptop doesn't recognize the P605, I tried to change the microusb port, tried different USB ports, PCs with no luck.
When I'm connecting the tablet to PC the tablet will charge but nothing appear in the device manager, no detection at all.
appreciate your help guys solving it, I bought Tab S3 but I still like the old fellow more
No detection, so the thing's completely inert when plugged in?
When I plugged in my Note to my 3.0 USB laptop, out comes 'Device not recognised' in the taskbar, and that's it. However, it all works well when I plug it to a computer with USB 2.0 running XP/7. A brief search shows something about incompatible default/microsoft's driver with old(er) devices on USB 3.0.
As you've mentioned several attempts above including a hardware change, I believe the problem lies with software somewhere.
I have the same problem and get an "error 43" message. My Note 5 works fine when plugged in. I must have damaged the port upon changing the battery. I wanted to upgrade to 6.0 but looks like I'm out of luck....unless I can update via update.zip on my P600

My Pixel XL Will Not connect to my computer at all

I don't know what's wrong but when I plug my phone into my computer it doesn't connect at all it will show it's charging but that's it. I can go into developer mode and tell it to connect PTP or File transffer but it doesn't pop up when I plug it in, nothing happens just a slow charge.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
So turns out it won't connect to my late 2012 MacBook pro with Mojave installed won't even recognize that there's anything on the end of the cable at all but with Bootcamp and Windows 10 installed it works just fine.
Unfortunately that means I have lost 60gb of prime HDD space
