have you ever seen in the / data / app / in your partition? Have you seen any .odex files in that folder? if there try deleting all .odex files there, if still insufficient storage, you can your /system parition with root explorer, after that you see how much free space storage in that partition, if very low you can delete any app from /app folder or /priv-app folder, but never delete any app except google apps, you only can delete google app in cyanogenmod, if try to delete another file may be will bootloop? ok try it first if success great job:good:, if not tell me and i will search another solution pk
i fixed it .i forgot that i change my install destination in link2sd

Hi, i'm trying to uninstall chainfire3d driver but i keep getting "error! Not enough space available! Need 622592 more bytes!" i've tried to format via recovery and cache partition but non of them helped please help me, i tried to clear space but it didn't help.

you need to clear at /system, not cache or data
try using titanium backup or root explorer and remove an unusedcsound or app
But i've got like 124 mb left on internal memory, and it is first time i get message like this from cf. Or do i really need to clear from /system a unused app ?

your phone has different partitons.
like on pc, younhave different disk drives.
well its a bit different..
but a disk is called system
another data, here are your apps
another cache, caches for apps
the 100mb is only for data, so data may be empty, system may be full...
you need to clean /system
I deleted dualclock with titan backup, and uninstalled cf3d driver thank you!!! I didn't know there are different partitions, only / and sdcard but thanks again!

i have the same problem with my sgy duos ,if i clear data from /system will it cause any problem later i mean when i try to do factory reset??
Hi,
The problem is, that I cant install apps that are over 6mb. Sometimes updates just remove apps from my phone, just saying "not enough space". The best part is, that I have ~130MB on /system, and 1,5GB on /sdcard! It happens both on stock-based roms and FXP 133 (CM9). I just have no clue what to do.
Wiped dalvik cache, cache, formatted data and system, it just happens no matter what. After moving all apps to SD problem persists. What am I missing?
Xperia arc, FXP 133 anzu, with included kernel
Forgot to add: It's a fresh installation. Sometimes larger applications install properly. I had problems with Titanium Backup and Sygic.
Not sure but if you're moving apps etc. to your SD card you might need to clear up space or buy another SD card (i recommend 12 -16gb SD card)
If its stored in internal memory you might need to do the same and clear up space
Have you tried using another sd card just to make sure whether the problem is with your existing sd card or device?

It has nothing to do with sd-card, can u both read? Should I provide logcat?
EDIT: Sorry, I meant nothing offensive, I'm just too direct sometimes.
What else is there left to wipe, when /system, /data, /cache and dalvik cache has been purged? Apps simply download, install and then Google play gives notification about lack of disk space. It happens even, when I install apk's using ES File Explorer. Why can I install games larger than 15MB (no sd data, so it lands entirely in phone memory), and can't install 6MB Sygic? APK file is NOT corrupted, it works on my other phone. Market version is no good as well...
Same problem with me too, i tried to install Google Now (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1818189) and it refuses to copy the files in the /system with the error "Not enough memory".
It was fine till i used Pureness ROM, but now i am on Jelly Sandwich.
When you install an app, there is two files, the apk and the corresponding odex file (same name than the apk, suffix is '.odex'). Sometime, when you play with restore, moving apps in system, odex them or changing rom without cleanup, the ".odex" file remains. Search for corresponding odex file in /system/app or /data/app and delete it.
When you save apps to internal they go into data/app not system /apps
check what space you have if needed save some gspps from internal to system by using app called links2sd free from play store.
Try cleaning the dalvik cache this is not the same as deleting the mentioned app can do this.
titanium backup can help with moving to system and cleaning to dalvik.
Also look in vendor/app there may be some issues there.

vendor/app holds one small file, it has sth to do with ringtones, so it's not that.
Before switching roms I always make a proper cleanup.
There is sth interesting about system app manager though, it shows that "19..." of internal storage is used and "183 MB" is free. Why are there three dots instead of MB, and why is it just 19? It looks like the dots replaced sth that doesn't fit inside of the text field (190MB?).
Why does it happen after cleaning everything, on fresh, "Out-of-the-Box" rom? I could understand it on Ice Bean (it started on that rom), it was 200mb+ stock-based rom, but FXP is just ~130mb! There should be plenty of space for app data.
EDIT: Wow, thats even more odd, I've just managed to install all the apps I couldn't! Like the problem was never there. It's weird and I still want to know what the hell was that, and make sure it won't happen again, as I have no time for X Files kind of things.
Thanks for feedback, so far.
hello, i have a problem with samsung galaxy note 2:
I got root permission (by Chainfire) and I did the reset of the counter with triangle away ( I have also checked in download mode and it says that it's fine).
Anyway every time I try to install any application from google play it says error insufficient storage available and that's false! I have 10gb of free space on internal sd.
I tried to install many apps (especially busybox, the one I was trying to install when the error appeared first) but I couldn't install anything from google play.
The only 2 apps I could install were a root file manager and link2sd , but to do that i had to place the .apk file on the esternal microsd with my computer, browse for that and launch the installation.
Is there anyone who can help me?
Go in you applications setting chose play store and delete cache

I tried this method but it does not help
Had the same issue yesterday - over night the system took over 4gb extra space . Factory reset solved the issue.
I used to get this on my Desire HD, even with loads of space left available. Clearing Play Store cache would fix it for a few weeks and then it would happen again. I've yet to encounter the problem on my GN2 though.
I'm having the same problem on my Galaxy Note 2 n7100 and it's really annoying me now. I've tried EVERY solution possible but nothing works...
Delete Play Store cache
Un install Play Store updates
Search for and delete Odex files
Run Lucky Patcher
Run MarketFix
Boot into CWM recovery, delete cache, delvik, fix permissions
I've even done 2 complete factory resets, downloaded the apps again and then used Titanium Backup just to restore the app data... Nothing works. Once the apps are reinstalled it won't let me download and new apps or update apps (well, SOME apps will update, others won't).
I've got 8gb of internal memory, over 30gb of SD card memory and over 800mb of memory on the internal partition.
Can anyone offer me a solution that will fix this issue??
install root explorer,go to the carpet data, app and search the app wich you have problem to install and erase it,and with that yo should be able to install it, it works for me
this is an example with the app that was causing me problems com.maxmpz.audioplayer-1.odex all id this was delete it

That was it! It did it for me! Thanks!
Hi
What are the luckypatcher and the Ext2SD hack?
Thanks for your answers.
This issue is cause by people using app2sd apps. Sammy phones can't use app2sd as the system sees extsd as the path which is not accepted by the system.
If you have app2sd installed remove it and reboot.
If you using Rom Toolbox change the app2sd feature to automatic.
I had this issue a few months ago and this solution worked for me.
via XDA Premium HD - GT-N7100 - Omega Rom - Neak Kernel - TWRP Recovery
Solution to your problem!
Found the solution to this!!
For everyone that is getting this error you probably have Link2SD installed, simply go in the settings of the app and go to where it says "install location" then simply change it from external to automatic!
Let me know if it works for you guys!

There's several script there, so if you want to move dalvik, choose script that does.
I dont remember the difference between int2ext and int2ext+, but i believe there's should be a brief explanation on the thread
To check, go to init.d folder, is there a new script? Mine is 40int2ext+, other script may differ

There is also way to move system apps to SD with ROM Toolbox from JRummy:
- backup system apps (like Gmail, E-mail, Internet browser, Google Maps, YouTube, Google search, some stock widgets...)
- uninstall them
- restore them and they will become user apps (not system apps) - so you can uninstall or move to SD with Settings / Applications / Manage Applications
Please dont try this with Google Play (Market):
- I had problem after restoring it from backup - it came unstable (often crashes on connecting to network and loading Google Play mainscreen)
- I had to convert this app from user to system app (also with ROM Toolbox)
i was wondering, after i'm using link2sd, why my device sometimes rebooted automatically.
is my application is too much?
i'm using galaxy gio.
Please any help on this...
I install several diferents roms, but I noted when I explore my storage, I find I have this folders:
-Sdcard0
-extSdCard ( this its my external sd card 32 gb )
everything its ok, but in my last installed rom ( MSG& Chubbs ) I noted this, in my Device memory ( Phone Memory ) named "Sdcard0" I have differents files... ok, but inside this folder I have ANOTHER folder called "0" and inside this "0" folder I have another files and a lot of them its the same names files ( alarms, android, aokp, application, autodesk, bell cache. dcim, download, etc etc etc ) ..
I try to reinstall any rom and before install the rom, I wipe cache- Dalvik Cache - Factory reset - and wipe System too...but when my phone start and I begin to work on this I see The Device memory its the same.. I have the Sdcard0 folder and inside I have the same "0" folder with a lot of same folders...
please How to clean this memory to only have one root folder? because I don't know if I erase the "0" folder or move the others folders inside the "0" folder or viceverse... maybe I brick my phone?
please any help?

If I remember correctly isn't the 0/emulated folder just a symlink and not actually taking up more space? Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what I read a while back. If you wipe data just make sure to back your stuff up.

You're not going to brick your phone.
Just backup everything you need to your computer or sdcard. Just wipe everything, but don't wipe system or external storage and you should be fine. The worst case senario if something goes wrong afterwards is to reflash your Rom and gapps, which should be on your sdcard as well before you begin and your phone will be ok.
