Equalizer(s) that work? - T-Mobile LG G3

I've tried a number of players that have pretty good equalizers but non of which seem to work on the LG G3. They worked fine on other old phones.
Has anyone found a player or stand alone app that has a good/customizable equalizer?

Yeah, it definitely works. Grabbed some settings from their thread, and it made my G3 + sol republics just simply AMAZING...

Viper is one of the reasons I can't go iOS.

I just bought some beats and played them on my g3 and thought they were good until i put them in a note 4 n iphone .. So i know its the phone. Going to see how this works

Does viper actually increase volume levels, or does it just lower certain ranges to make it seem like the other has increased? Most equalizers ive tried will not increase bass range, but instead they lower treble.
On my galaxy nexus and nexus 4 i used noozxoide eizo rewire and that worked awesome because it actually increased the power levels.
I haven't rooted my G3 yet, but i will if this will actually improve things.
And any idea why android phones just completely suck for audio volume when compared to iphones? It's been this way for years. My iphone 3gs put out far more power than any android ive owned since then.

Viper does way more than just lower the mids/highs for more bass to come through. Why not check it out and report back on your findings? I highly suggest using one of the profiles created by more experienced users:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2324454

Viper makes bs 5$ headphones sound like 50 dollar headsets. And that's not even an exaggeration.
Thank the countless who have sacrificed their social lives, to bring us these roms.

I used DSPManager since the EVO3D days and it worked flawlessly with deep bass enhancement up to Android 4.1 JB. After that throughout kitkat no version worked at all for me so I began using Viper. Viper is good but probably geared more toward the headphone enthusiast whereas my needs were for subwoofer and car audio. I have a working version of DSP now thats worked flawlessly in all lollipop builds and the bass is much better and cleaner sounding then any of the viper effects.

<<< another vote for v4a.

Good news for CM9... maybe?

Found this on the Cyanogen forums... I tried seeing if anyone else posted about this since it's a few days old... Nadda.
Since this is the general forum... *shrug*

I don't think they are referring to a media audio issue. From what I read the in-call audio is what's broken, essentially making the phone unusable as a phone.
This is all hearsay though. Only the CM team knows what's true and what is not.

Slayther is also working on CM9 but since ICS has new drivers that have to be written for every device, it takes a certain amount of time and the developers also have family and a life.

Volume mod?

Hello Everyone, I was wondering if T-mobile has a volume mod such as the one listed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722136&page=5
I tried installing that but it didn't work. I'm guessing because that thread is for the international version of the phone. Does anyone know if there is a USA mod or another way to increase the volume? I've searched and couldn't find anything about it. I would have thought someone would have asked this question already.
Check out Volume+ in the play store.

I looked it up and I'm going to give it a shot, is there anyway to adjust the hardware volume though? Will a mod or a custom rom do it?
Thebpp I suggested works wonders. You don't need anything else.

The only problem is that I might be installing a Jelly bean custom rom and the program says its not compatible.
Nothing works for Jellybean yet. At least not for system sounds. I have a gnex. Believe me I've searched.

Ok maybe I'll hold off on doing a custom rom for now. I hate missing my notifications and need the increase in volume. I guess it is only a matter of time before someone figures it out. My old t=mobile vibrant sucked but the one thing it did let me do was just type in a code and increase the volume through the menu. If only it were that easy on this phone.
I actually find this phone louder than my old galaxy S. Either way, Volume+ will definitely work for ics.

Also interested.
I too am very interested in the volume hack mod like the one in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722136 for this US T-Mobile variant. Before the JB update I tried volume+ and was not really impressed. While it did make the phone louder, it came at the expense of sound quality. This is mainly because the app is basically just turning up the various bands on an equalizer all at the same time.
Shame that the international version gets all the attention but I guess I can understand why since there are more of them around.

I tried awesome beats from android software development and it installed but screwed up the sound.
Try the beats audio installer from the market by motion coding. Just make a back up because if you want to uninstall you need to buy the pro version. I seen people use this for 4.2 but haven't got a chance to fix the ROM I broke with the other beats. I never made a backup.

Who cares? 4.3 is an incremental release. No big changes just a few minor tweaks. Oh yea they changed the system font...I can't wait.
It'll be added when the devs get around to it. The source is already out, Nexus devices are getting it OTA, or can already flash it via google's developer website using their method. It won't be long, but it's not a super special upgrade. I already have it on my Nexus 7.
The comments above are not true. Even though it is a point upgrade, it still brings quite a few enhancements to Jelly Bean. The source code for 4.3 is already available so you can expect the major developers to merge the code within a few days and have some early builds out. The smaller devs will then take that code and merge into their ROMs.
Just wait til CM get implemented new AOSP... I bet there will be more than 10 variety.

Bluetooth Low Energy is only for devices that support it. And that's not anything like streaming audio or headsets. There is a whole new set of profiles for it.
In short, you won't see any difference with anything you're currently using.

Only reason I want 4.3 is because the Bluetooth is supposed to connect quite a bit better on AOSP ROMs.
I'm more excited about the improved performance and OpenGL ES 3.0 (if this is supported). I don't use Bluetooth so much so it's not a big deal for me I don't have a problem with how Android 4.2.2 performs but I wouldn't mind seeing a better performance

IMO yes there is. Install any kernel with wolfson chip control and enable FLL tuning and dac oversampling. And you are ready. No need for any of those mods. Note 2 gives you pretty good putput (flat and natural) as default. Just a good headphones and flat output and that's it!
