360 strap - old watches can be useful - Moto 360

I've had my 360 for a couple of days, but as I usually have steel watch straps, I wasn't getting on with the 360 Horween leather.
However, I found a very old cheap digital watch - for UK people - it was a dress watch from Next
Sorry about the image quality...

I used a pencil to mark any adjustments needed to the strap so it would fit the 360, then used a Dremmel to shape the strap.
Once shaped, it fit the 360, with the pin reaching the pin holes
And once all together doesnt look too bad - well at least until I can find a decent replacement

wow that looks great!
although I would be careful with the back plate of the watch. If you don't have enough "give" you could crack the glass.

Nice Aluminum Case

I found this earlier today. It is inexpensive and appears to be well made.

No clue as to which version of the Galaxy Nexus this fits. I just figured I would share what I found.

Wow, that looks nice.
Reminds me of the cases for the old Palms and Visors.
I bought one of those when they first hit. As the picture shows the two halves close together via a side hinge and are secured by a large tab on the other side. The white background of the pics and close up of the tab don't do it justice. It stinks. The tab always got hung up on everything. Clothes, chairs, curtains, other people, bakcpack straps. It was horrible. While it looks good in pictures it felt cheap and flimsy. I stopped using it.

It does have 2 magnets in the corners of the flap but I haven't experienced any problems due to their presence. I've had the case for ~8 months and it does help usability if you use the Note as an e-reader or watch videos, though a minor hindrance if you take a lot of photos. The fit is very snug and secure though by now mine is starting to fray slightly at the bottom of the 'spine'.However this is with a lot of use. Overall an excellent case.

Creaky slimline?

I remember when I was doing comparison shopping for a case I liked the slimline, but saw a post where someone mentioned the creaking that they were able to fix with a piece of paper. I just wanted to recommend black electrical tape, worked like a charm. I put a small piece where the aforementioned poster slipped a piece of paper and a small piece in between the opening for the camera and power button. Rock steady.

Edit* decided I liked that so much I added a little strip of tape to all of the inner lip areas of the case. Nothing wrong with some slight mods.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
had a creak in my moko near where the magnets engage and this took care of it right away.

Sony smartwatch 3 wrist straps

Hello,
Is there anywhere online where you can buy the black leather wrist strap separate for the Sony smartwatch 3?
Many thanks.
You need to buy an adapter, called holder kit, to convert your sw3 to accept a normal watch strap. The holder kit could be an official Sony one (black color) which accepts 24mm watch strap; or you buy a third-party one made by 3d printer. The latter one has several colors and strap sizes (20, 22, or 24mm) to choose from.

Just made a charging stand for my phone and watch.

Not quite done yet, I still need to stain the walnut to match the rosewood and put a sealant on it all.
But I figured I would share it with you all.
Took about 2 hours to make in my woodshop, half of that time was deciding how to route the wire for the watch charger.

As my charger turns on only at the night by timer, I needed stand, that hold watch on charging pins 100%. Took LG G Watch stand 3D print files from net, remoddeled the holder part for Huawei, and got such thing.
