[Review] Rhinoshield - Xperia Z3 Compact Accessories

Disclaimer: Evolutive Labs offered pre-orderers a discount for posting neutral reviews. This means I already decided to buy this product before the offer was made & my purchase decision was in no way affected by this proposition - as it was made after I had already paid for it, I was not offered a free sample or anything & I am / will try to be impartial & objective.
Ordinarily I would not post this, but after reading some user reviews I think it will add balance for current, prospective & future owners of this & any other supported devices - also makes it easier to find in searches. Also, apologies for picture quality!
The kit was received in a sturdy envelope, it included some nice packaging with product details & application instructions, the screen protectors, cloth, card to help apply, dust removal stickers (very useful). Here is a picture of the contents - I opted for front & back protectors:

From what I've seen, this seems like a standard selection of tools provided by most high end (possibly low end?) suppliers, but its all useful stuff & much more than you get in the box with the supplied protector from Sony (if you get one!). Note: all these items can easily be substitued with makeshift items you have around the house e.g. credit card, sellotape, tissue paper, but its nice & convenient that its all provided as a kit.
Application
I found it very easy to apply the screen protector. Youtube how to do this & you get a lot of tips! Evolutive labs have a good video themselves, which is reassuring. The trickiest bit is aligning everything up. My advice is take your time. This is the first screen protector I've ever applied with zero bubbles at the end & it wasn't luck because I did front & back. The dust removal stickers are essential here because after you have wiped the screen, then dabbed it with the sticker you will still inevitably end up with some stubborn area down the side edge or slap bang in the middle of the screen because you are taking your time to line it up, so some dust might get in. You will need to get the sticker underneath the protector to dab the sticky part of the protector & the screen to get rid of the dust. If there is no dust, there are no bubbles - you can push the air out to the sides - use the card or the cloth to do this. Note: I read one person found that it wasn't sticking / someone else did wet application - this is not necessary. Be 100% sure you have peeled off the correct side (labelled 'Back' iirc). I messed up aligning the front 2-3 times so had to peel it off & do it again (don't be afraid to do this if you're a perfectionist but try to avoid it), it still stuck down fine after all that. What I did find was that the 'Front' tab used to pull the front off covered the cutout for the sensors, so that part had to be aligned blind - you have to use some other points of reference (front camera, speaker, frame...) which made it a little tricky. The back was much easier, the flash is small so get that little circle cutout right & make sure its straight & you're good to go.
Other things I noticed: when pulling off the front sticker off the protectors, it had a tendency to pull the protector off that corner at the same time so be careful with this - don't undo all your hard work right at the end. I slid the cloth in behind the tab to make sure the protector stayed stuck down as I removed the front - you will see some air bubbles appear as you pull the tab so just push them out to keep it stuck down. Also, after I took the front off the protector I noticed some small "scratches" around the cutouts on both front & back protectors. Was disappointed with this at first, but after a few days use they seem to have disappeared (self-repairing!, jk), so don't know what that was about (see pics).
Now its on
The screen still looks superb with the protector on. It feels really smooth under the finger using the touchscreen. It does pick up fingerprints but these usually wipe themselves off in my pocket. It is a big improvement over no protector at all. Also, you can only really tell on the back that there are fingerprints at all because of that screen up front - but again, easy to wipe off if you're a bit OCD. I can't actually comment on the impact protection because I haven't dropped it & don't intend to do this intentionally as this is my main phone but if it happens by accident I'll update this with the results - regardless of whether the screen breaks or not. It has been mentioned already, I will mention it here, the screen on my phone without the protector is very flush with the frame, so with the protector on I notice it is very slightly raised above the frame. This means when you grabbing your phone out of your pocket & you pick it up from the side you can feel the edge of the protector - I wouldn't say its sharp but you do notice the edge. It would have been nice if it was rounded at the edge - maybe the tempered glass protectors are like that? If your device has the screen slightly recessed from the frame you won't have this feeling as it is very slight - the screen protector itself is very thin.
Here are some more pictures:
Front top:
The bits at the top edge that look like bubbles are actually reflections - it does maintain the high gloss look of the bare glass, plus I'm not a good / patient enough photographer to get the right shot!
Front bottom:
Front from afar:
Barely can tell there is a screen protector on this. All I would improve is making the speaker a proper cutout i.e. surround it with protector, rather than the U shaped cut - I think all protectors for this phone are like that at the moment - hopefully someone improves that part of the design, then it will be really stealthy.
Back top:
(Again with the reflection looking like a small bubble strip!)
Back bottom:
Nice and flush
Back from afar:
This is really well done, cannot tell its there
Strange self-repairing scratches around the cutouts:
Conclusion
Pros:
Get everything you need to apply it in the pack
Easy to apply, nice & sticky, even after a few attempts
Feels great under the finger
No visible impact on screen quality
Cons (hopeful improvemets):
Nice to have a proper cutout for speakers
Edge could be smoother / rounded
Two more dust removal stickers in the pack would be ideal
Price for front & back might put some people off
I never really understood tempered glass protectors - essentially you're protecting glass with...glass. Maybe I'm missing something here so missing out but everyone has their preference, as long as you are happy at the end of the day. I'm very happy with this product, so hopefully it lasts the lifetime of the phone! If you made it this far, thanks for reading, if you would like to get this, buy direct from the makers Evolutive Labs - Rhinoshield for the Z3 Compact

Great review :good:
The thing about tempered glass protectors is very simple in my opinion, or in my case.
Phone: +- 500$
Tempered glass protector: 30$
Which one would you rather break? The 500$ one or the 30$?
When you have a tempered glass protector on the front and back you can essentially use the phone without a case, because most of the time only the tempered glass protectors will break.

I see your point, that it is far more desirable to lose the $30 protector than the phone. The thing is, if I do accidentally drop my phone I would much rather the screen protector not break at all, because I don't want to have to replace it...ever, if possible. As far as I'm aware, this doesn't shatter / fracture like glass & the oleophobic coating feels really good (does the glass on this phone have an oleophobic coating? I never found an answer to that...)
I will have to see how this one stands the test of time, but the glass ones do prove popular. In any event, I think everyone believes some protection is better than no protection. Also, I don't use cases so hoping for maximum protection on front & back. Now only time will tell...

I installed them this week and this is ruining it for me, it doesn't feel nice in hands anymore, I hesitate to remove it from the back.
For the front: I never used screen protectors before (got scared of broken glass on Z3 compact posts) so I think the plastic feeling/finger marks are also very annoying but I guess they are all like that.
The speaker cut is ugly.
I might try a tampered glass protector if I find a high quality one like the dbrand.glass ones

The Orzly tempered glass does not have this cut-out but it covers both the proximity and front camera.

Great review, please give your experience with the camera and flashlight. All pictures are overexposed by the light absorbed by the rhino back protection. The cut outs are way to tight to overcome this problem.
= serious flaw

Hi, as I mentioned I'm only a very amateur photographer & based on the pictures I've taken on my old phone this seems a big step up. I would have taken before & after shots to compare, but wasn't aware of the problem. I can't really tell if the photo is overexposed when using flash / fill flash, it seems pretty normal to me but I know there are others who are most probably more knowledgeable than me in this area who are experiencing similar concerns. I do agree that the cutout for the flash is very tight but the cutout for the camera seems pretty good for me. Hopefully Evo labs take this seriously & improve the design. Good luck

As a picture says more than a thousand words..
Here are 2 shots to compare. Same settings, app and darkness room.
Also 2 other pictures to show how much flashlight is absorbed.
Edit: The problem will be addressed having bigger cuts for the camera and flashlight. A free replacement including free shipping can be requested by the producers.

Received replacement with 'bigger' gap for the flashlight. Difference is not noticeable, same problems. Don't buy the back protection from rhino shield.

I find the UltimateShield better. It doesn't feel as sharp on the edges and doesn't attract as much fingerprints.
Also it's only £9.99 which is much cheaper than the Rhinoshield

Just installed the Rhino Shield on my Z3 compact and I'm very curious how they will last. I was a backer on the original kickstarter campaign for the Nexus 4, had a bit of mixed feeling back then.
Installation went almost perfect. Let's see how the Rhino Shield holds up during use.
It works perfectly with my Puro ultra slim case. I'll post some shots later.

I've been using this for a while now. I like it. I just wish that it wasn't that easily scratched.

Intro:
I have never previously heard of diztronic cases before recently reading here in the Galaxy S III – Accessories sub forum. After reading how much praise they were receiving from Galaxy S II and Galaxy Nexus owners I decided to order the case and try it out for myself. I ordered clear over black as I hoped it would allow the natural beauty of the phone to be displayed. For $9.90… why not?
Case Review:
If I were to sum up the entire review into one sentence it would be this: This is a surprisingly nice case.
1) Case General Attributes
As we know the Galaxy S III is a little slippery due to the gloss back cover. This clear TPU case adds a nice subtle texture to the rear of the device that definitely eliminates that slipperiness but is not overbearing. The texture stops at the top of the brushed metal bezel that surrounds the Galaxy S III and from there on is a clear non textured gloss TPU plastic. I happen to enjoy this transition as I like the non-textured feeling around the rim. The clear nature of the case allows the true beauty of the Galaxy S III to show threw the case with a slightly frosted appearance. The case is also very thin and seems to add minimal bulk to the device. (This is only one of two cases I have used/reviewed to date for this device so take that with a grain of salt.)
2) Button Access/Cutouts
The cut-outs for power button, volume rocker, microphone, micro-usb, headphone jack, and flash/camera/speaker are correctly positioned and for the most part centered very respectively to their positions on the device. For example on other similar cases the micro-usb cutout is bigger than it needs to be for no apparent reason, on this duztronic case it is not. The case is molded very well. Nowhere do I see extra molding pieces, poor transitioning of textures, improper cutting, as one might in cheap cases.
3) Fitting
The case fits very snugly to the phone for the most part. If anyone has used a silicone case they know how easy they are to come off due to their extremely malleable construction… With this TPU case there is no worry of that. There are only two positions I worry about in the long term and those are the upper rim of the volume rocker and the power button. Those are the only two spots that I can detect any flimsiness at all. Still not silicone flimsy but more than I would like.
4) Protection
This case is no otterbox… but with that being said it does protect the entire device. Some other cases for some reasons do not cover the tops and bottoms of the phone, this one does. I have only tested this case with very minimal drops onto table tops and other less course surfaces. It does its job. I would say its main purpose is to prevent scratches, protect from minor drops, and add some peace of mind when placing on a table.
Bonus Free Screen Protector Review:
I am glad the case came with a free screen protector but it does leave something to be wishing for. I did not have a screen protector on my phone and this will hold me over until I find one that better suits my likings. The included screen protector is a peel and apply, thin, plastic screen protector. I enjoy this type of screen protectors over water application types (zagg, skinomi, etc.) as I find them easier to apply and usually have less possibilities of air bubbles and orange peel affects. As most screen protectors it does show more finger prints than the gorilla glass, although, that is to be expected. The protector is ultra-clear with no tenting or color distortion of any sort. I would give it a perfect rating if only it covered the full front of the device but it does not. This may be due to the slightly curved nature of the phones glass around the top and bottom, but it does not explain why the protector does not span fully left to right on the screen. If you’re looking for something to get you by this will do. If you want a screen protector that is not noticeable and offer full protection, look somewhere else.
Final Comments:
I am happy with the purchase. It is the best case I have ever purchased for under 10 dollars. The cut outs are perfectly positioned, it is not too thick, it has a lip to protect the screen, it is firm and not overly flimsy, it is slightly textured to add grip, and with it being clear it allows the natural beauty of the Galaxy S III to shine through. I would recommend this case to someone who is looking for a cheap option to add decent minimal protection to their device that doesn’t include much bulk.
---- Pictures in Post 2 ----
Pictures:
The sides of the display are curved exactly the same as the top and bottom. That's why the screen protector doesn't completely cover any of the edges.
yea your right about that. realized it after writing it. but still i would like to see a screen protector that accounts for that and still covers entire screen. It is the best free protector i have ever received though.
In your opinion, is it easy to pull the phone in and out of your pocket with the case on it?
Thanks for the review!

Yes it is. I don't know if you ever had a seidio case or silicone case, seidio is rubber coated and silicone is like all rubber, they stick in your pocket and are hard to pull out, especially when sweaty. But this harder TPU material makes it much easier. It's not as easy as the slippery phone itself, but not hard. Haven't tried it in a tight set of jeans yet... As I find that to be the ultimate test.

Don't get this case in white. I bought one for my HTC One X and after a week it starts to get discolored.

Hmm. The screen protector covers the front-facing camera whereas most other ones have cut-out.
Do you have a matte white case, like the one in this review? or a glossy white case?

Wow.... I didn't even notice that. It doesn't appear to affect quality, but then again I don't have an original photo to use as a control to test against.

From our product description:
Regarding Screen Protector Sizing: Due to the tapered edge design of the Galaxy S III glass it was not possible to make our screen protector cover the glass all the way to the edge. Our screen protector covers the flat part of the glass only, as it would not adhere properly around the edges otherwise. This results in approximately 4mm of space from the edge of the display to the screen protector on all sides. This design choice will be consistent with the other static cling screen protectors on the market.
So basically it's just not possible to make it any bigger than we did or it would peel up along the sides. I would of loved to have them cut the full size of the screen, believe me! The screen is tapered on the right and left as well, so we couldn't of extended it that way either. If your looking for edge-to-edge protection you'll want to get an wet application screen protector, or the Nano from SGP which is an ultra thin PET film, but from my understanding even the Nano doesnt go all the way to the edge. I'm currently using the SGP FlexHD wet application screen protector on my GS 3 and it's pretty decent. I personally prefer PET but it's more important to me to have it go all the way to the edge so I'll settle for thermoplastic urethane on this device. I'm glad your happy with the quality of the screen protector though, we did switch to a Japanese based film which greatly increased our costs as they are 4x as expensive as the previous Korean PET film we were using. I think it's worth the added cost. I'm not sure how much longer we can continue to include them for free though. It doesn't make much sense that our Evo LTE case which doesn't include a screen protector is the same price as our GS III case which does. We'll probably increase the price of our cases that include a screen protector on our next major release by $1.00 to offset the added cost. Would you guys rather see us go back to the cheaper film and include the screen protectors for free, continue using the Japanese film and raise our prices by $1.00, or not include a screen protector at all and keep the prices where they are? Getting a Japanese based film screen protector for $1.00 more is a great deal in my opinion, SGP is charging $12.99 for their Japanese film, although you do get 2 of them for that price.
I really want to stress to you guys that these clear cases don't last as long as our black cases. I'm replacing mine about every 30-60 days because it either picks up blue dye from my pants or just becomes dirty. The matte finish makes it difficult to clean. If you are looking for longevity I'd go with black. If anyone's found a good way to clean them, and I'm sure there is some way to do it, please let me know!
Cool. Ordered one from Amazon earlier today. :good:

As I use it more and more the screen protector is not noticeable unless evaluating the edges in direct bright light... It doesn't even bother me anymore. It is a much appreciated addition to the case.
I find it interesting that you are speaking against the clear case as it is your own product.... Hmmm. I have not had it long enough to evaluate dirt absorbtion yet. I will update the review as it gets dirty to show time frame and other thoughts over time.

Raise the prices by $1. People respect quality and will see the value added. Especially here on XDA.
Not include the screen protector for me.
I didn't see any other case worth buying around the $10 mark. What's another dollar for a better screen protector?
Order this case last night.
Thanks for the review.
I ordered this case yesterday. I'm going to be really disappointed if it only lasts me 60 days.
Anyone have pictures of this case on the pebble blue version?
Edit - Found pics in another thread: http://imgur.com/a/Mq9xX#UnaGs
Make it a dollar more if the screen protectors are good. I haven't gotten mine yet though.
i ordered a matte black on amazon the other day, but then i read one of the seller's comment about a pebble blue one coming in a couple of weeks, so i'll wait for that instead.

i-Blason 0.24mm 8H Tempered glass screen protector review.

Hey guys, having been a die-hard fan of SGP ultra crystal screen protectors for all the devices in the home (Evo LTE, One, iPhone 4(s), Asus TF101), I was a little disappointed to learn from another thread here that SGP didn't have plans to bring their tempered glass screen protector to our shiny new N7 FHDs. I had checked out the SGP model on my friend's Note 2 and decided that on my next device i would give one of these a try. Luckily i-Blason came to the rescue with their version of a tempered glass screen protector and here's my review, I hope it will be helpful and perhaps answer some questions.
The protector was packaged in a plastic folder frame and came in a padded envelope. On the inside it had the regular microfiber square, squeegee, and the protector itself in a paper sleeve as well as the protective plastic on both sides.

Immediately I noticed how much thicker and stiffer it was compared to the dry apply plastic ones. I tried to flex it a bit and of course being at that thickness, it did have a small amount of give but overall pretty hard. I tried to get a picture of how thick it is compared to an SGP Ultra Crystal for the HTC One that i had lying around, but the photos don't really illustrate too well the difference between the two. The first is the i-Blason, second is the SGP.
Looking at the screen protector itself I thought there were holes for the camera and the sensors, however it was actually the case that it was actually just thinner at those parts in the back, the front is one continuous piece with no holes in it. This came as a surprise to me as I was expecting holes, but given how thick it is and its stiffness, it was a good call on their part.
I used the hinge method, and scotch taped any particles of dust out of the way. My house is pretty dusty so it actually seemed like the hover method might have worked better, ymmv. Once you get it in place, due to its stiffness its actually pretty easy to lift up without worrying about bending the corner.
I got it on there properly aligned, but as you can see in some of the photos there are some spots where the adhesive just didn't seem to want to stick too well. I've had this issue in the past with a few of my SGP protectors, so i would just guess its the silicone adhesive not being completely uniform on the underside. The issue is cosmetic and does not affect the display sensitivity or the quality once the screen is lit.
Heres some photos of the 4 corners after I was done. The cut was very precise and everything lined up perfectly.
Heres a picture of it from profile after installation. I am slightly worried about the fact that it does stick up a bit from the bezel, but given that my friend's Note 2 is pocketed and his is just as thick, there shouldn't be any problems with lifting, especially since I intend on having it in a case when I'm out and about. Something to think about though if you're the kind of user that doesn't like cases ruining the looks of your device.
And finally, I tried my best to take before and after photos of the same screen on max brightness. We all know that trying to take a photo of a screen is usually a futile endeavor in regards to showing distortion of screen protectors, but what the hell here they are for the sake of completeness.
Can you tell which is which? I can't so i guess thats a good thing.
I don't think I've seen many complaints if at all regarding the fact that the screen is too slippery. I know that at this dpi and this smaller screen size typing is more difficult as the already oversensitive screen registers even the tiniest movements as a swipe. This screen protector actually brings that slipperiness down, to about the same as all my other devices naked. Looking forward to using my device more now as I didn't care too much for the super slippery glass. I was in an excited hurry to write up this review as I know there are others that were curious about his product and I'm willing to bet they probably have only a smidge more patience than I.
TL;DR: I was skeptical of this screen protector as I have never heard of nor had any experience with the brand, however I wanted to try something new, and i'm glad it turned out well so far. If i had to give this thing a score, it would have to be a 4.5 out of 5 due to the spots on the screen that didn't quite stick completely and thus introduced some visual artifacts.
PROS:
Thick, the hardness probably won't do much against a drop on the side, but it might protect it better than a dry apply plastic protector and not have the orange peel or rubber feeling of wet apply protectors.
Easy to install: The stiffness makes installation via the hinge method a breeze. Lifting corners to get rid of dust after you get it aligned is also painless as theres little risk of bending it like with plasic protectors.
More scratch resistant? I didn't want to try it with a key test, but i'm hoping given its 8H rating that it will maintain its pristine appearence longer than my SGPs, which admittedly scratch when you breathe on them.
Its glass, you're basically putting another screen on top of your screen, thats like strapping another car in front of your car to protect its front.
CONS:
Price: when I bought this on amazon it was 20 bucks, it has since gone up to 25. Last time i checked the SGP crystal clear is priced at 13 per piece on their website. This is almost twice the price, but if it lasts through the life of 2 SGPs and still looks awesome, its totally worth it.
Thick: Its primary strength may prove to be a weakness. The screen protector MAY be subject to lateral forces which may start to lift it, time will tell.
Doesn't stick perfectly at some places: This could be my fault for having lifted it a few times to pick up dust, or it could be its too stiff and doesn't want to conform, or less than perfect adhesive application at the factory. Whosever fault it is, the problem is cosmetic and in no way affects the operation of the N7.
Not prime eligible: Not really a knock on the product itself, but i had to wait quite awhile for this.
Having just had a few hours with it, I can say that I would recommend this to any one who wants to try a glass screen protector. They could have priced it more ridiculously, but at the current price point it seems fair for what you're getting.
UPDATE: Those tiny little spots are gone now that ive spent a little bit of time applying regular finger pressure on them for a few minutes.
What case is that? And nice review! Was thinking about getting one myself.

Nice review. I ordered the same one. Interestingly the mailman just dropped mine off while reading your review Lol. I'll apply mine when I'm off work tomorrow xD

I also received and applied my i-Blason screen today. I think mine came with a defect on part of it, because there is one bubble that refuses to go away. Its not dust either. I'm super anal about not having bubbles. So I asked i-blason if they can send out a new one as their is a 1 year satisfaction warranty that specifically says it covers bubbles underneath the screen. Other than me being anal about the bubble though, this is a super screen protector and I highly recommend it to anyone.

I just received mine today as well. The install was quick and easy. No bubbles, everything lined up perfect. No loss in touch response either. I would recommend this screen protector.

I know you mentioned it is just thinner in those areas and they aren't actually holes, but I wonder why they all keep doing anything special at all for the notification LED on the clear models. They are putting in extra effort and it makes it worse
I could understand on the anti-glare models. Illumishield got rid of the notification cutout on their latest SP version.

Probably so you can see it better. I think it makes sense in this case.
got mine yesterday as well, just installed it. installed pretty cleanly.
so far i love it.
anybody using a case to cover the back of the n7, not a skin per se, but more of back cover/case, which doesn't interfere with the screen protector?
I got a defective one today. Big bubble is under the glass.

Did you try to pick it back up and pushing down on that spot as you're laying it down? Once the bubble gets trapped its impossible to get out with the squeegee

I had a pretty large bubble when I applied mine at first. You have to work from the middle out. It is harder to work the bubbles out then compared to a normal screen protector.

I am not comfort on the think and no hole at front camera position.
Got the screen protector earlier this week, and finally got around to installing this afternoon. No issues applying, though it's a little skewed from user error. The screen protector is on par with all the other glass SP on my other devices. For my it's just added comfort that the original glass is protected.
I noticed a few "marks" under the screen protector after application. They seemed to be indentations in the adhesive from the factory. Applying fingertip / fingernail pressure to the affected areas for a few seconds seemed to help the silicon stick better and clear the trapped air.
I'm glad they chose not to leave holes in the screen protector. Less area for dirt, dust and lint to collect. The camera doesn't seem to be affected by the layer of glass. The illusion of a "cutout" may just be the lack of silicon adhesive in each area. I highly doubt they took the extra time to grind down each area.
Get this screen protector. You won't be disappointed in the feel and protection.
I've had mine on for over a week I think it's great.

The "hole" by the camera and the notification light are not actually holes. I didn't look closely at the sp before I applied it but I think they are just areas where the glass is thinner so there is no adhesive on those areas or it is a different type of glass. If you rub your finger across where the camera and notification light are it is completely smooth. You don't feel an indentation or anything. So it is just one solid price of tempered glass with no cutouts. It does gives the appearance that there are cutout holes there but there aren't. It does not affect the camera in any way.

My original one ended up shattered when I received it. Emailed the company and they sent a replacement. Just got my new one today. Easy installation. As for the shattered one, I took a knife to it for kicks. No scratches. Definitely worth the money.

[Review] Crystal Armor Ultra Thin 0.2mm Tempered Glass Protector & ASF Removal

The Product
Product Page
CRYSTAL ARMOR Ultra Thin Full Flat Tempered Glass Protector. Claimed to be the worlds thinnest; so thin, in fact, that they claim that a sensor hole cutout is necessary. Of course, it comes at a price. And that is a wallet gouging ¥5,000. Although on the product page they say that the shipping is included, they still said they had to charge me another ¥250. So I ended up paying ¥5,250 for a single sheet of glass...
They seem to have made the shipping free so it is "only" ¥5,000 now which makes me feel ripped off.
UPDATE: It's actually a promotion apparently for this month as their nice rep informed me.
The customer support at Crystal Armor is great. The English support team swiftly answered my inquiries, and even emailed me when I ordered a second one to double check if it was a mistake or not
First Look
It came in a huge box (for a screen protector anyway) with a ton of bubble wrap.

You think I'm kidding?
I tentatively open the package to reveal...
Nothing but the screen protector.
It's packaged nicely and all, but I can't help but feel a bit let down to find nothing else included in a ¥5,000 product. There is only film over the adhesive side of the protector too
Its thinness is something else though. This still has the protective film on.
A quick mockup shows the fitment to be spot on
Anti Shatter Film Removal
I found the corner to be the easiest to lift.
It's just peeling from now on.
Goodbye Sony logo.
Ahhhh, real glass!
I first thought I used too much WD-40 to clean the glass, but it turns out that even nail polish remover wasn't enough. After multiple passes with optical cleaning towel and nail polish remover, the screen only looks clean. A quick wipe with a cheap microfiber towel reveals tons of lint stuck onto the glass, and the glass feels slightly sticky to the touch, especially at the edges. Running water over the glass shows spots at the corners where the residue still remains, as the water flows around the spots.
After more rubbing with nail polish remover the spots seem to have mostly disappeared, but the screen still feels slightly sticky. Maybe the residue will wear off after a week of usage, but so far I have to recommend prospective ASF removers to put a screen protector over the bare glass.
I've given up for now. I'll just install the protector right over without worrying about the residue since it's not visible anyways. I just washed the towels and letting them to dry, and I'll get the protector installed in my washroom after my shower tonight to be as safe as possible. It is an expensive single usage protector after all.
On a side note, if you do this to your dock you'll be able to use it even with a thick screen protector
The Big Mistake
Well I think I've just made the biggest f***up in my Android related life. So badly that I managed to actually crack the glass protector
But instead of mourning for the new wound in my wallet, I'll have to make the best of this broken piece of glass and make a cracked screen protector review until the replacement arrives.
First of all, the screen protector is seriously thin. Keep in mind that this is my first glass screen protector, but this is definitely much thinner than the glass protector that my friend has on his Z1. It's so thin that it still fits in the magnetic charging dock, although I don't recommend this, as the dock scuffs up the rear ASF enough already without the added thickness. The thinness combined with the rounded edges make this feel extremely smooth at the edges, and my fingers glide on and off the edges like its nothing.
Speaking of gliding, the oleophobic coating is nice and slick. I've been rubbing my fingers and palms over it and the coating isn't letting up. I'm sure I've put enough finger oils on it to equal a month's usage and all I've been doing is wiping it off with a shirt and it's still holding up very well.
The size of the screen protector is pretty much exactly the size of the display glass so you must be extremely careful while installing it. Because I ruined mine I just quickly matched 2 edges on one side and put it down. I highly urge everyone to use the masking tape hinge method and take your time to hexacheck for a perfect fitment. Yes you can peel it off and reapply but you have an extremely high chance of cracking your glass. The protector is flexible to a degree but definitely not enough for you to peel it off the screen unless you are some master at peeling off protectors with minimal angle.
My heart bled as I folded this screen protector in half for the sake of science.
As you can see, the protector does not shatter, so it does a perfectly fine job as a replacement for your factory anti shatter film.
In an extreme case of folding in the edge like a page in a book, a very small piece of glass detached itself from the glass but proved to be harmless like the glass particles that also fell out of the cracks.
And of course I had to forget the scratch test. The protector, while having cracks all over, laughed at the futility of the multiple knives from around the house but was ultimately defeated by 150 grit sandpaper which left scratches too small for me to bother to attempt to capture with a camera. Back to the garbage can it goes.
Hope you all benefited from my stupidity and failure. I will now cry myself to sleep. This ends my preliminary review of the Crystal Armor Ultra Thin Full Flat Luxury Edge 0.2mm Screen Protector (WORD’S THINNEST!) with Chemically Strengthened Tempered Glass and Oleophobic Super Slick Surface and I still can’t post external links.
The ASF Free Experience
Feels good to be touching actual glass
But because there is no coating on the glass, fingerprints and smudges build up very very quickly, and I had to clean it frequently. Because there's no coating on it there's a bit of friction against your fingertips. I'm sure that some Rain-X or some sort of glass sealant will make the screen a lot more smooth (friction wise, there's no texture on the glass obviously).
Now don't expect the display to magically improve without the ASF. It doesn't become more vibrant, bright, or have any better viewing angles.
But don't think that removing the ASF is pretty much pointless and is a stupid move. The ASF is a stupid move. Unless you slap a screen protector over the ASF as soon as you get the phone, you are going to get scratches because the ASF is so soft. So I got fed up with the marks and decided to just remove it. Now you have glass that is actually hard. Some people are just anti-protector and that's perfectly fine. The Dragontrail glass is tough and it's not gonna get scratched that easily. I think running the bare glass with some sort of sealant, oleophobic coating , or a mix you'll have a nice feeling anti-fingerprint glass. Just reapply when the coating wears off.
Round 2
They included a microfiber cloth this time (I wonder if they read my review )
The tab for peeling off the protective film is also a lot easier to peel off this time.
I couldn't use the hinge method to install this protector because the duct tape just won't stick. Not sure if it's a good thing because the coating is strong or if it's a bad thing because I misaligned thanks to not having a hinge.
Also trapped a spec of fiber, which ironically is probably from the microfiber cloth they provided... Luckily it's so small that I can only find it with my face about 8cm from the screen.
Having this protector on is also definitely visible, due to the rounded corners
Also leaks a bit of light at the side like the edge of a lit acrylic panel (reference)
The coating is indeed very smooth in case I haven't mentioned it enough. My fingers glide on it with pretty much no friction, and because the screen is now raised a bit I don't feel the ridge at the end of the screen anymore. And because it's so smooth you don't have to use much force on the screen so it leaves even less marks. All the pictures I've taken are after 1 day of use and no cleaning at all. And I went snowboarding with it and it didn't crack so don't think its weak just because I goofed the first time.
My camera lens is 14-24mm which is useless for macro so here's a video for you guys
You can find it on their site
Short Term Experience
In the first week, it was oleophobic heaven. Super slick, almost completely fingerprint-proof. The few smudges come off extremely easily.
Towards the end of week 2 it has become less oleophobic. It's not extremely slick like new but it is still very good. Smudges and prints come off just from taking the phone out of the pocket.
End of week 3 had me a bit worried. Has the oleophobic coating worn off already? Fingerprints go on pretty easily and it is not very slick. Then I realized that in this entire time I have not once cleaned the screen with any cleaning solution, only wiping it down with a microfiber cloth.
So I did that and the slickness is back. It feels more like week 2... At least for a few days.
So now I clean the screen regularly and when the screen is clean it's much easier to wipe off fingerprints.
TO BE CONTINUED FOR LONG TERM RESULTS

how was the placing of the screen protector? the nillkin has almost 2 millimiters gaps from the sides so it's quite easy to fit, but it doesn't cover the whole screen though... but still almost all of it, it looks good.

I hope you can post the pics.... so add this reply to the count.:victory:
Boop. 10th post.
OP will now be updated with pictures
I think the greatest weakness of the 0.2mm will be its... weakness. The thinness probably makes it more prone to cracking than the thicker protectors, but it is also probably more flexible, so who knows. It's definitely not super fragile though, I was just being stupid.
Also want to add that the customer support at Crystal Armor is great. The English support team swiftly answered my inquiries, and even emailed me when I ordered a second one to double check if it was a mistake or not :good:
So while I wait for the second protector to come in, I'll be using the phone without an ASF and I'll do a writeup on that in a few days as well.
I still have the cracked protector so if anyone wants me to do some testing with it let me know

This ends my preliminary review of the Crystal Armor Ultra Thin Full Flat Luxury Edge 0.2mm Screen Protector (WORD’S THINNEST!) with Chemically Strengthened Tempered Glass and Oleophobic Super Slick Surface and I still can’t post external links.

sorry to see that buddy.... try nillkin next time it's smaller than the screen so it's very easy to fit, i did it without hinges, and it's also super slick, i sometimes have a hard time texting cos my fingers are sliding on the glass...
I don't see how a smaller screen protector makes it easier to fit, having to match the spacing on each side will definitely test the very limits of my patience, and I know I'll mess up and get reminded of my mistake every single time I use the phone.
Also can you please unquote the OP? That's a huge quote.
I have just received my front and back protector from Crystal Armour. For the front I got the 0,2mm version and for the back 0,33mm.
Later I will show you some photos.
I uploaded a comparison between Glass M and Crystal Armour, both 0,2mm thin, you can see there the difference in size of the protector.
I like that the CA haven't got a proximity sensor cut out, it is working without any issues.
And for the back protector I have to say, no flash cut out and no flash-light bleeding in photos.

Nice info. Any pictures of the back glass? I was contemplating getting it but I'm not sure if I even need glass on the back side.

I like the feel of the back with the glass, because of rounded edges. Also less fingerprints and it's easy to remove them.
Before the glass I had a foil, I disliked it, because of scratches and fingerprints, it looked very cheap.

Hmmm.. My main concern for the back is the fingerprints so maybe a good oleophobic coating on the glass after removing the ASF would be good... Or I could just get a cheap rear glass...
Speaking of the ASF, I've been using my bare screen for a while so I'll talk a little about it.

Please quote wisely !!!
I'm about to order one of these too since it's the only one that doesn't have those ugly cutouts.
Did you order them from this page: apeiros.stores.jp?
I tried ordering from Japanese Amazon but they wouldn't ship them outside of Japan unfortunately.
I'm thinking of getting the front & back set since their camera opening also looks pretty snug on the back. Slightly worried about the flash though.
Any new pictures?

Yep you need to order from their page here which is specifically for out of Japan orders.
Then just put in your info like normal and don't worry about the state. You can repeat all the info in the comments field just in case.
I'm actually picking the new one up today and I'll have new pictures up soon. I didn't buy the back though.
There is actually no 0.2mm version set so you'll have to purchase the back glass separately here.

Fosmon Hybo Snap case review

Fosmon Hybo Snap case for the Moto G - Updated review - built-in protector IS removable!
I mentioned this case in the Moto G case list thread, it arrived today: giving a more detailed review since people requested it
Caveat: Update: Seller promptly refunded the money I had to pay for extra shipping, would purchase again from them. On an annoying note, I got charged an extra $1.13 by the USPS for inadequate shipping by the seller. Filing a complaint with Amazon -- it's a small amount of money, but sellers should not be advertising free shipping if they're going to do that sort of thing.
Cost: $4.50 + additional $1.13 for USPS charged shipping. Seller has since upped the price to $7.95 on Amazon & Ebay.
Onto the case itself:
- Two-piece TPU / polycarbonate shell case, with covered ports and a built-in screen protector
- Put on the TPU part first, then push polycarbonate part on top, then click the TPU flaps in place all around the phone. Extremely easy to both insert and remove the phone into the case.
The case itself does not feel cheap for such an inexpensive case. Both parts fit together very well -- the TPU piece snaps into the hard back and I didn't notice any large gaps or seams or other signs of shoddy workmanship aside from 1 point that I'll get to in a moment.
The TPU is rigid but pliable (not the stiffest TPU I've seen, but somewhat firmer than the rubber band around the official moto G grip shell). It's close to true black (not dark grey) and the sides have a nice texture for good grippiness, with a satin finish overall.
The polycarbonate (hard plastic) back is very matte and has nearly the same texture as the official Moto G backs, albeit a little more "velvety" (smoother feeling, hard to explain). It looks like it will also be a fingerprint magnet as well.
Both the headphone and microUSB ports have covers. The headphone cover is snapped in very securely, but the microUSB cover does not and sits slightly ajar (I'm not sure how it will hold up to repeated opening/closing). There are two small holes on the top and bottom of the case to allow for the two mics (regular mic + (noise reduction?) mic on top).
The back cover raises the camera/flash/logo/speaker off a table surface by around 1mm -- sufficient to prevent scratching, imho.
The buttons remain responsive with the TPU covering them --- in fact I'd say they're more sensitive because they are raised instead of recessed, this could be a plus or minus to you. Hides the jiggliness of my power button.
Updated: I was able to remove the built-in protector easily after cutting the protector in the middle from the cutout for the speaker down near the bottom end --- with it split, gently pulling one of the sides allowed me to smoothly peel off the entire protector with what looked like little or no residue. I am much happier with the case now that I'm able to use it without the built-in protector. Including photos of the peel job + what it looks like (edges of the screen lip, very clean) afterwards.
The built-in screen protector is the part I feel the most ambivalent about. I'm not a fan of built-in protectors in cases normally. This one is typical in that it sits slightly above the surface of the phone (not an adhesive type protector). You will hear a slight "click" when you're tapping on the screen and I find my finger dragging more on the screen. Responsiveness seems to remain the same, however. I had no problem firing off several texts and an email, or navigating through the phone itself. Clarity and color remains the same (included a photo of the phone screen on with the screen protector as a visual) --- the "greenish" tint in the photo is actually just a protective film you remove from the protector prior to installing the case. Does not interfere with the proximity sensor.
Conclusion:
Overall for a case under $10 it seems like a good deal. I'm still annoyed with the shipping issue, but the case itself is pretty solid --- it fits the phone exactly, flaps snap in as they're supposed to with the exception of the microUSB cover. I compared the thickness of the TPU around the sides of the phone with the Moto G Grip Shell, and it's definitely quite a bit thicker. While this adds more bulk to the phone, it also increases the protectiveness. The thinnest parts of the TPU are covered with the hard plastic and gives more added protection.
I'll be keeping my phone in this case for now and will update this review if anything else comes up.
Photos: (I kept my other cases, the Moto Grip Shell and the Rearth Ringke Slim case, for size & color comparison in some of them)

In direct bright sunlight
Update: Built-in screen protector is easily removable! Shown process pics below as well as an "after" photo showing the clean edges of the lip with the case back on the phone.
Is it possible to remove the screen protector? I paid the price of otter box for this case to ship to my place, after reading the click thing you said in your review about the screen protector I got a bit disappointed.

Thanks for such a detailed review Angomy, seriously considering this case. Is the front covering just a see through flexible plastic and do the screen colours still show through it as nice as without it?
I'm off to see if this is available on Amazon or ebay in the UK.
Is this the same case, but just different colors? I ordered two of these the other day. Waiting on them to arive.

Updated edit: It is removable, it just seemed impossible when trying to pop it out whole (like you would with an Otterbox etc), but once you make a half-way cut in the protector, and pull one half down to the seam, it removes very easily along the seams without leaving any jagged edges etc. Very pleased with this now.
I don't have sensitivity issues in the middle portions of the screen but a 1/2 cm border at the edge of the phone, I have to press down harder or it sometimes doesn't register. This is probably due to the distance between the protector and screen being the greatest/least flexible at these points.
Keep in mind though that I already have another screen protector (static based, a Ringke clear one) already applied to the screen so it probably reduces the sensitivity even more.
I may see if I can remove it safely later this week and let you know the results.

It's a see through plastic, pretty stiff but still flexible --- the colors do not appear to be affected. I tried tilting it in bright light and at a short set of angles there's that slight "rainbow" effect you sometimes see, but I was looking at the phone at an angle that you wouldn't normally use at to see it.
I'm more concerned with the issues I posted above (re: reduced sensitivity around the edges, clicking) to be honest, if there's a reason for me to stop using the case it would probably be this but I'm picky about my surface sensitivity.

In terms of actual protection it's the case I'm currently taking with me to the bar & bowling alley this weekend where beer flows freely and I've dropped my old phone numerous times before
I'd say it feels a lot more secure than the Moto Grip Shell because the TPU is thicker all around, and the thinnest parts are covered by the polycarbonate back. I actually tried dropping it ~2 feet onto berber carpet yesterday (no damage) just to see/hear the bounce of the tpu, but didn't have the courage to drop it from a higher distance.

This case is absolutely perfect, with modifications, though. Actually, I was able to remove the screen protector but it took force and the glue isn't as strong once you get a small piece off. Volume buttons are too sensitive for me so I plan on shortening it on the inside

Good news! I was easily able to remove the screen protector after I decided to cut through it (beginning with the speaker cutout at top) into half near the bottom edge. With some gentle pulling it easily lifted off did not leave any messy glue residue that I could see, though I still cleaned the areas with Goo Gone. Please see the original review for updated photos!
(Note: Ah I see someone also had success ^^ Good to see!)
Awesome, still waiting on mine to arrive. Should be here sometime next week.

Detailed guide on Tempered Glass Protectors for the V30: What to buy and not to buy

Note: I initially intended to post this on the V30 subreddit, but then the mods on there decide to remove it for some stupid reason... (it took me 4 hours to write this guide FFS!) But I guess that is typical of reddit mods in general.
So now I have posted it on here. F*** reddit! Anyways rant over
================================================================
PREFACE
When it comes to tempered glass screen protectors (TGSPs) for the LG V30, or for any curved phone in this matter, finding the perfect one can be quite a tricky task, simply because there might not be a perfect one due to the curved nature of the display.
I just want to tell you guys that from my experience, there IS a perfect tempered glass screen protector out there, but before I get into that, HERE ARE THE TWO MAIN COMMON TGSPS THAT YOU SHOULD AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
================================================================
#1 : DO NOT buy the common "full cover" TGSP that you see on sites like Aliexpress or eBay.
{

Be aware as while the pictures might look like the glass is curved, it isn't. In fact the edges are as flat as a pancake!
So when you put the protector on, the flat straight edges of the protector will protrude out, making the phone not only uncomfortable to hold, but also makes it very easy for dust to get trapped under the protector, and overall generally looks ugly AF. And that's even not the worst part. The worst part is that this screen protector relies on sticky adhesives that only sticks onto the edges of the device, so you have a big gap of air in between the protector, making the V30's beautiful AMOLED display look like some cheap unlaminated IPS screen. All of these downsides makes this screen protector a big no-no.
#2: DO NOT buy the regular TGSP that doesn't fully cover the display.
Don't get me wrong though, this is miles better than the pseudo-"full cover" TGSP as the entire screen protector is electrostatically adhered to the display, which drastically improves clarity. However while they don't make your display look like crap, it is generally still an eye-sore and you'll eventually want to take it off.
================================================================
So getting all that out of the way, here's what you should buy:
DO BUY UV GLUE TEMPERED GLASS SCREEN PROTECTORS
After researching a little bit more, I finally stumbled across the perfect TGSP that ACTUALLY has curved glass on its edges! This TGSP is unique as it uses UV glue as the bonding process rather than relying on electrostaticity or a sticky adhesive.
Now putting glue on your screen might sound a bit crazy, but it actually comes off easily and doesn't damage your screen at all as shown in this video:
This is what the UV glue screen protector looks like on my V30:
Here are 3 main reasons why you'd want to consider buying a UV TGSP over a regular TGSP for the V30:
1) It ACTUALLY covers the entire curved screen.
Compared to the more common "full-coverage" TGSP, the glass on this one is curved while the glass on the former is flat like a pancake. And I don't mean curved as in "2.5D", I mean the edges are actually curved downwards to fit onto the V30's concave screen.2) It is insanely clear and transparent.
Unlike regular TGSPs (and especially w/r/t the non-electroadhesive ones), the UV TGSP offers the most clarity and transparency. Personally I found the colors and saturation to look every bit as vibrant and sharp as the original display, and the blacks still retain their deep AMOLED goodness. I was seriously shocked as to how sheer it looked, as if there was nothing on the screen at all. Now I can finally admire the V30's gorgeous display in confidence!3) It only costs around $3 if you buy it on eBay or Aliexpress.
And now here are the 3 main reasons why you wouldn't want to buy this:
1) Lol I'm just kidding there's only one. Obviously this requires a bit more time and effort to put on than a regular TGSP, emphasis on "a bit". You have the extra step of applying the UV glue onto the display, and curing the glue for about a minute. If that sounds too complicated, then this (and generally any task that requires minimal patience) is probably not for you.
IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: They don't tell you this on the listing, but when installing the glass, it is highly recommended to cover the speaker grill (with tape, cotton, sticky tack, etc.) so that the excess glue won't go into the speaker. Also I'd recommend wiping the edges of the screen with a cotton ball dipped with alcohol if there is any excess glue on the edge.
================================================================
DO BUY TPU ("HYDROGEL") SCREEN PROTECTORS (as an alternative)
Luckily for those that don't want to risk putting glue onto their screen, there is a great alternative to TGSPs. Another obscure type of screen protectors are TPU screen protectors.
These ones are made of a soft rubbery TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) material that is very flexible, and because of the flexibility, these are made to fully cover the curved edges of the V30, providing even better coverage than the UV TGSP. HOWEVER...... one major downside to TPU is that it is nowhere near as strong as glass. The flexible nature of the material also creates new problems, such as air bubbles when installing or peeling. So if you are looking for the absolute best protection, this is probably not the best idea. That goes for all plastic screen protectors in general.
Here is a picture I took of my V30 with the hydrogel film screen protector applied:
================================================================
SUMMARY/TL;DR
Avoid the "3D curved full cover" TGSP, they aren't actually curved and makes your beautiful AMOLED screen look like an unlaminated IPS screen.
Avoid regular TGSPs, while they don't make your display look like crap, it is generally still an eye-sore and you'll eventually want to take it off.
Do buy the UV glue TGSPs. This is the real deal as the glass is actually curved on the edges, giving you full screen coverage. It also has the best transparency I've ever seen on a TGSP.
Do buy the "Hydrogel" TPU screen protector. This is a great alternative to the UV glue TGSP. It covers a bit more of the V30's screen, while also providing superb clarity and screen visibility. The downside is that is it more prone to scratches.

One point. There are 3D curved glass protectors that are actually curved. I have one on my phone. The down side is that the glue is only around the edges. The decreases the touch sensitivity slightly. I can't give you the product name as it was shipped with my phone in an unmarked envelope.

Hi,
I would love some more experience reports from other people and also ... I like to pay with paypal and therefore Ebay links would be cool because paypal is rather expensive on aliexpress.
I also wonder how the removal of the glue really works - maybe it is just me but I cannot see a lot on the video that shows this process ...
regards

Here is a more obvious example of someone removing the UV protector: https://youtu.be/Z70dqq6kcF0?t=76
I would imagine it takes a bit of force to remove it, but it should come off without leaving any marks the screen.

The down side is that the glue is only around the edges. The decreases the touch sensitivity slightly.

If the glue is only around the edges, that means there is entire gap of air in between the glass and the display right? I wouldn't like that, not because of the touch sensitivity but because it makes your screen look super bad, like an unlaminated display.

It really doesn't look bad. But I still want to replace it with the uv glue type.

Hi
did someone order anything described here?
I am waiting for the UV-glued glas but would appreciate any report before trying myself

My UV glued tempered glass is still going strong after a month. Just remember to pour the liquid into a big blob in the center, and let the screen protector automatically fill in the rest via gravity (don't try to move the protector). Once the glass is completely filled, dry the glue with the UV light for a minute.

Just one question concerning this:
When do you remove the excess uv glue? I would be afraid that it hardens by the uv light in the wrong place
By the way - it is not gravity - it is capilarity ...

When the liquid glue is fully filled. If excess glue forms along the sides, just wipe it down with a tissue.

I ordered mine. It's on the way. Did you have to cover any holes before you started?

I didn't cover the holes on mines, but I think it would be a good idea to do so, maybe with small bits of tape.
P.S. don't mean to bump this thread, but I actually find it so interesting that—a week after making this post—I got a job offer at Mobile Outfitters. Now I apply screen protectors as a profession haha
My glas arrived today.
Application is much less scary than I expected. I used some tape around the device to avoid the glue getting somewhere it should not go.
However after the procedure my speaker seems to be covered by glue ... had to clean it with alcohol and am not finished yet. If someone has a better idea to get it clean again - tell me.
Another thing is: take care if the glad overlaps the device on both sides similar. I gave the impression that it is shifted to one side. Not really a problem since my transparent silicon housing covers that anyways
Besides these topics I like it and it is just great to have the complete display usable without a frame ...

Yup I love mines too, I think this is the best T.G. screen protector you could ever get for a curved glass phone. Mines is actually cracked already, but I'm planning to buy another one soon. Also try using a alcohol-dipped cotton swab to clean out the speaker.
Great guide! Just bought one on Aliexpress and there was a $2 off coupon so I got it for $1.99. I'll report back when I get it and get a chance to put it on.

Ok - some more experience with this wonder glas:
in the last days - not even 1 week after applying the glas - I found lots of dirt on the edges of the glas. I carry my phone in my pocket and so there is quite a bit of fluff from my jeans. I tried to remove it carefully with the effect that the glue at the edges under the glas was also removed which did not look very nice. Today I wondered if the glas had moved slightly to the side. I tried to remove my silicon housing and found that it was glued to the glas/phone. Actually I know the problems of UV-glue from my job: they tend to never fully harden and can flow somewhere after month or years (stronger glues can cause severe damage). I had thought that this is not a problem here because everything is open and the device is exposed to the UV light contained in daylight
Trying to move the glas back ended in the glas jumping off the phone. As I had ordered 2 glasses anyways I applied the other one (this time with tape on the speaker). Now I will expose the glue for the rest of the day moving it from corner to corner with the UV light and hope that it is better after doing that. However I am still afraid that the light is just too weak. On the other hand I am afraid that a stronger light might damage something - which is possible ...
BTW: I find it a bit special that when you order 2 glasses you get only 1 UV light - what if the second one is a gift?
Bottom line for me at the moment: I am not sure if I can really recommend this glas. I will write again if something happens. Good chances that everything is OK now if I don't write. Unfortunately the other protector is not available for V30 ATM

So where can I get just the uv light? I got my glass but, I didn't realize it didn't come with the light!

Hi,
oh ... that would be interesting - where did you exactly buy? Not your problem but I would prefer to not receive another UV light next time ...
did you receive the glue?
