I am using v45 stock version on my REDMI 1S. I have 3G connection of Airtel. I am getting very low data transfer rate (max 20-25kbps) even during night.
Is someone else facing same kind of problem? Firstly I thought it is network problem, but in my old phone the data speed is approx. 200kbps.

So maybe I'm crazy but it seems like the longer the stay on one rom the slower the data speeds get. I flashed a rom this morning and my 3g data was 2,000+ Kbs and by the end of the day (when i would assume network traffic is lower) I'm down to 300 Kbs.
Anyway just curious to see if anyone else experiences this and if so someone has a fix.

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums and wanted to start out by asking a question about my phone's performance. A month ago or so, I've updated my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II to ICS 4.0.4 (Stock Android). Before that I was running Android 2.3.6 to which I reverted from ICS 4.03. Anyway, to make a long story short, I've recently noticed a problem related to data speeds and I know for a fact that it's not a network issue, but a problem with my phone.
Basically, what happens is that when I have Wi-Fi switched on for a longer period of time and then switch to 4G, my data speeds become slower than what they should be on the 4G network. I live in a HSPA+ 42 Mbps market (NYC) and normally get about 15Mbps down on average with latency in the 80s. However when this problem happens and I run a speed test I tend to get less than 10Mbps on average. For example, today I was getting 8.38Mbps down and 1.15Mbps up with a latency of 98ms. Now I know that some of you might say, that I shouldn't be complaining, but just hear me out. When I switched my phone to Airplane mode and then back to mobile data, all of the sudden my speeds were 19.08Mbps down and 2.99Mbps up with a latency of 73ms. It was also tested on the exact same server and only one minute after the first test. I've also noticed that the exact same issue appears to happen when I'm not using mobile data for a longer period of time.
Other than rooting my phone, I haven't really done anything to it, so I'm wondering where this issue could be caused by a bad ROM flash. I'm debating whether I should reinstall the ROM and whether or not that could fix the issue. Just wondering though, whether anyone else noticed this problem with their phone running stock 4.04?
Hi all,
I've recently purchased 2x Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro's and I've noticed that the WiFi link speeds are hilariously slow for such a modern phone.
2.4g seems to be limited to a max 72mpbs and 5g is limited to 433mbps. Now, before you say 'it's your router grumblegrumble' it isn't. It's a VMG3925-B10B and its capable of much faster wifi link speeds and I know it is because my older LeEco LEMax 2 got a lot more, so do my laptops, and Ipad. Even my 10 year old Dell 1520 gets faster than 72mbps.
So, now that is out of the way, what on earth is going on? I'm certain that this modern phone must be able of quicker wifi speeds especially considering it's reliant on wifi for connectivity?
I've tried entering the mediatek engineering mode on the phone but can't get into the wifi options (wifi needs to be off, operated too much, constant search on etc) which are all set correct but still doesn't let me in.
Any ideas because this is going to bug the hell out of me. 5G is fine but it's still not acceptable.
Well I have on my router about 36MB/s on 5Ghz.
Redmi Note 8 Pro should also support simultaneously connection on 2,4 and 5 GHz WiFi. But not enabled right now for some reasons.

Unfortunately your speed test doesn't mean squat because it's only testing your broadband connection. Not the WiFi link speed between your device and router.
It doesn't seem like there's any extended bandwidth capabilities?
remi note 8 pro wifi speed problem solved
turn off the bluetooth when using wifi. speed will be fine.

Who was using Bluetooth while using WiFi?
I watch youtube with BT earphones for example, internet is god damned slow, 144p loads for minutes even on 4G... That seems to be a problem of software. Disconnecting BT brings internet back
On a redmi note 8 miui 12 try this: go to settings/location and turn off wifi and bluetooth scanning
While using the phone in an area with good signal coverage, it works fine.
But when the signal levels are relatively low, the mobile data doesn't work/ terribly slow.
Compared this with some Nokia and Xiaomi midrange devices with the same sim (LTE enabled, same apn) but they worked without any issue compared with this.
Anyone experiencing the same issue??
Is there any way I can tweak/fix this??
(Samsung forums suggests resetting phone and it didn't work for me)
P.S : I am using the Exynos model (SM-A505F)
Recently I did speed test and found 4g speed is so bad less than 10 Mbps for download and upload. Did test on 2.4 Ghz wifi (result download 20Mbps upload 45 Mbps) and 5Ghz wifi( result download 45 Mbps upload 50 Mbps)
Anyone know any solution or this hardware issue
Ps: My internet plan is 50 Mbps
This is not related to the device, perhaps it is linked to the wifi channel and for the 4G to the provider.
The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE scores very good results on internet speed.
I confirm this. I dont know but the 4g speed is pathetic. Pages take time to open. It could be due to MIUI 13 update. Thats what i suspect. @Kenzo11 Can you confirm if this was on MIUI 12.5 as well?
I checked on other phone and its not network issue.
I would request anyone reading this to confirm if 4g speeds are up to the mark.
Are you facing any high load times ( more than 2 3 seconds on an lte network) or any high ping or jitter in speed test.
Thanks

Yes after switching from poco f1 to this I can perceive the delay very well during 1st month I felt it very well and I was frustrated now I am used to it
