a great idea!! is it possible to do this for a ukd802 or would it be a completely different? anyhow im sure there will be people jumping at the chance to be able to do someting as simple as this to get back to stock there seems to be a lot of people having problems with kit kat and associated and we really ought to have a few different variants of this a really good idea, thanks for posting.

It is possible, but i don't have 802 phone to test.
There needs to be one of these for all models. Can you possibly make it available for the Verizon's lg g2?

Sorry, but i only have 805 for testing. But you can use this rom, just replace all .img inside it from Verizon .kdz or .tot

So first we unzip ur rom, then we use that tot/kdz extractor tool n extract the vs980 kdz/tot and replace all the img files from ur rom w the img files from the vs980 kdz then zip it back up right?
edit: oh also does this wipe internal storage like actually flashing a tot/kdz or do you keep the stuff on data/media?
Yes this is correct.
And by doing this will wipe everything, the same as flashing kdz

Hi, to everyone owners LG G PRO!I have extracted system.img and boot.img form official android 4.4.2 KitKat kdz file. System.img easy open and extract with DiskInternals Linux Reader for Windows.
I have add root permissions and init.d support in boot.img.
Hopefully some devs here make flashable zip for CWM (TWRP).
If you need other bin(img) file please let me know.

I made a flashable zip with the help of the Android Kitchen out of these files
After some "problems" with the updater-script, I managed to flash it onto my e986, but I'm unable to turn wifi on, and it doesn't recognize my simcard.
And it also doesn't recognize my sdcard.
I've attached the logcat, maybe someone with more experience can help
EDIT:
I'll upload my zip file to google drive, but this can take some hours (1.5 GB with 1MBit upload...)
Btw, the Super User from the Kitchen doesn't work, and the rom is full of bloatware.
A step in the right direction!
Now everything must be working and I would flash the zip. Or I just wait for something official for my E986... Hmmm... Difficult

So the ROM can be flash it in all variants of G Pro, E980 for example? The bloatware can't be a problem if ROOT work properly and can install Titanium Backup... and one last question, this SO has Spanish language in it? Thanks for all you time creating a port.
Here the I rom flashed https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_tYab8Gur8YOE5mQWxMNnBDVW8/edit?usp=sharing
it was already 4 am here (I fell asleep afterwards) so nothing changed
The rom boots, but wifi and 2G/3G/sim and sd card are not working.
SuperSU doesn't work either.
Only flash this if you know what you are doing ^^
You can modify it like you want, and try to make it work completely for the E98x variants
EDIT: I need my phone fully functional the next few days, so I can't play around with it :/
Everyone is free to use this
Can flashing radio solve the 3g/2g/WiFi problem?

This thread helped me a lot ,
Download the F240S_V20C_Kitkat_4.4_LGViet.zip and KK-E980-STOCK-LG-by-madmack.zip and Build-prop-rev01.zip(on the thread link I gave you) do not use one provided, search for one with 3 at the end(updated), Build-prop-rev03.zip
Here is the link of thread(use this ROM non else) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2699376
Q&A for F240S V20C Kitkat on E980
Installation instructions
1. From your 4.1.2 stock ROM, rooted, cwm (I used 6.0.4.4) installed. Boot into recovery cwm.
2. Do a wipe of cache
3. Install only the ROM downloaded and wipe cache.
4. Memory card won't show, its OK ,don't panic, root your ROM using roottool.kitkat.zip( search and download ).
5. Reboot system and confirm root.
6. Reboot to recovery and flash KK-E980-STOCK-LG-by-madmack.zip and Build-prop-rev03.zip in that order .
7. Clear cache and reboot system.
(Microphone and SD card problems solved permanently)
My device is E988. It also works for all other E98x .

I flashed the contacts zip for the v10 and kept getting fc. I tried to delete and restore in tibu but can't get it to work. I think I deleted my backups also. Does anyone have the zip file? Will a factory reset get the app back if not?
What version is your Verizon ROM? You can always just get the system.img and then just extract the apk from it.

That should be what you need, I came from a test build for Nash and used the FlashAll zip (RET specifically) from that site to take me all the way back to stock., Hence why each zip is ~3GB uncompressed.

I'm having the same issue. I've downloaded every 2+gb zipped XT1789-04 factory reset zip I can get my hands on. It says it's flashing a modem, but I still get no baseband when I go into fastboot. no wifi or cell signal. I've tried the commands linked above after flashing. If someone has a solution I'd be eternally grateful.

Thanks but NO GO .
I ran into this problem attempting to root the latest Oreo OCX27.1 and got into a bootloop. The only Oreo firmware available to download isis the previous OCX27 and I believe that downgrading to that causes the lost of baseband and imei. I am waiting to see when OCX27.1 will be available to download so I can try to return to stock to 27.1 see if it restores my baseband
The problem i am seeing is that none of the stock firmware are for ocx27.1. they are all for ocx27. i have seen an ota update that is for the ocx27.1 but i have not figured out how to extract it yet

Starting this off by admitting that i fuxed up and failed to dump/backup my sprint stock files and such with the lgup dump option...luckily another member had the modem.bin file to hopefully fix my phone as i am stuck on 3g and cannot acces lte at all...hoping someone here has access to the update scripts to make these modem files twrp flashable...he gave me instructions on how to use adb and twrp to flash it but it keeps failing...it may be an issue with my computer as it worked for him...so long story short if anyone has the knowledge to make these modem.bin into flashable twrp files that would be great and they could be added to the Frankenstein and wtf forums to help idgets like myself get their lte back up and running...thanks in advance?
I can post my nandriod backup of the Sprint stock rom if you want. I plan to make a guide and flashable zip soon for the Sprint stuff. Reading up on superr kitchen.
Did you add the Sprint apn? I won't be home for a bit. I'll upload my nandriod backup when I get home. Should get you up and going.
Try this in the mean time..use a file explorer with root permissions (I use root explorer) navigate to /system folder, open build.prop in text editor, navigate to line ro.build.target_operator=NAO, Change NAO to SPR. Save and exit, reboot
Edit: Don't do the post above here is the stock Sprint build.prop https://drive.google.com/file/d/12ZZOio_vxP2EBIJmk0slgUWZUlxFZAXD/view?usp=drivesdk
Paste in /system to overwrite the existing one. Change permissions to rw,r,r . Reboot, after you reboot it should show Android upgrading. don't worry it keeps your data. Only takes a few secs
When flashing modem.bin it should look something like this (ignore the fail had the file on /extcard instead of /sdcard)

Boot up the phone and plug into computer. Transfer the folder to \internal storage\TWRP\BACKUPS\LGUS998\ once that is done, reboot to twrp and restore sprintstockrom backup(from internal storage) Flash magisk after the restore is done BEFORE you reboot.
If that doesn't work (it should) I'll upload the system.bin file to my Google drive. I know that will definitely work as those are the same steps I took.
I'm currently running us998 firmware with no issues.(the backup I posted is LS998 "Sprint" firmware)

Everything loaded up nicely...sadly still stuck with 3g only...what the heck did i do?
Nvm...rebboted a couple more times and my beautiful lte is back...thank you sooo much for being patient with me...been a couple years since i had a rootable phone
Sweet! I was going to say factory reset..but it's working
Would it be possible to buy a US988, root, flash twrp, etc, then flash these modems to access Sprint LTE bands? Or are there HW differences between the US988 and LS988 that would prevent this?

Just buy a ls998 and use Frankenstein method to flash US998 firmware on it. It's cheap on eBay and it's the plus model. If you go for the US998 plus model you will pay a lot more (LS998 is same phone, different firmware)

You need the Sprint modem if not you will only have band 25( Sprint uses bands 25,26 and 41)
I have some files you need to download to your computer. After you download these files and follow the directions on the readme.txt report back
misc.bin https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yr5sO6TUQk7oChhZk5OsCy1kp3XeAa0d/view?usp=drivesdk
modem.bin https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GJJVxgjt4k8SdSVocbw-nLLc8eruDLYv/view?usp=drivesdk

Next you need to create apns for Sprint or no lte( for US998 rom. LS998 rom automatically adds proper apns) use the post at the bottom of this thread for a guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/help/sound-mods-sprint-variant-lg-ls998-t3784739
Starting to upload the stock rom also (with stock rom it will set proper apn automatically). So you can have WiFi calling etc.. will post here when it's done

I'm guessing this method would work for H930DS to get the dual sim functionality back?

To make it work you would probably need system.bin and modem.bin. While on h930ds firmware use dump option in lg up dev so you'll have those backups. It should work. Don't know of anyone that has tested it yet tho.
Edit: no need to do the above..check this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/development/h930ds-lg-v30-cis-h930ds-t3799872

Ok. No worries. We'll get it fixed. I originally used dd commands to flash system(system.bin) as well. I uploaded the stock Sprint nandroid. Try that when you can and report back.
Create a backup first(so you can restore later if needed) download this file
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1gYj-ocIieF9sqvn5AF1hliK3nEFC52ls (the entire folder)

Hey so I had the same issue as the OP here. I downloaded your drive files. It downloaded as a .zip with only one file inside it though (zip size was ~805MB and file size by itself was ~1.5GB). Is this expected? Or should I go ahead and download each file separately?

I already have a dump, and I'm currently on a custom rom. Would flashing the system.bin really be necessary?

I'm not home yet to test. I uploaded a folder you will need that and the contents inside

It might. It will take a while(be very patient. Wait for it to show complete) but will restore the h930ds firmware but you'd still have fastboot, recovery and root. Once it's done do NOT reboot. You need to flash magisk(or encryption disabler) and twrp recovery.img (might not need to flash twrp. I did to be safe)

Ok, thank you. I tried downloading each file seperatly and tried using TWRP to restore it. Phone kept booting into the bootloader. I rebooted into recovery again using fastboot and tried restoring the backup I made before restoring your backup and that also had me back on the bootloader screen. Currently trying to use LGUP to install US998 again.
Edit: After using LGUP I was able to boot back into my device normally. Lost root and TWRP but that probably just requires me to repeat the original steps. Will wait for you to get home before I try to fix my LTE again
not working

Im currently on rooted Frankensteined US998 Oreo. Restoring the backup in the link seems to work, but then crashes into a bootloop while trying to flash magisk. What might I be doing wrong?
