After rooting and getting recovery i got a custom rom on my ATT LG G# but i couldnt hear anyone when i made phone calls so i tried to flash a stock rom with root and insted i got bootlooped and not i cant get it to reflash the att version in the LG flashtool
No one???
I think flashtool is recognizing your G3 as a sprint variant, due to the build.prop from the rom that u tried flashing, and that's why it's not flashing to stock firmware.

All the drivers are installed. After the program verifies the phone, it throws up the "LGUserCSTool.exe error". I'm rooted and unlocked and carrier unlocked but no matter what I try I cannot get past this. Uninstalled the B2C Client over and over again. every othjer method needs the AT&T E980 10g firmware but it takes 12 to 20 hours to download and keeps timing out. This is the most troublesome return to stock I have ever encountered. I may use the stock debloated rom but the baseband is kinda wonky. I just want to start over from regular stock. No where I have read has a valuable fix for this ridiculous error.
I have the AT&T E980. I saw they have other E980 kdz for other countries would that work if I flash the ATT E980 baseband to get my correct radio. The 10g rom is taking way too long to download and there are no other links because all point to the same download.
Any help is appreciated
did you end up fixing the problem?
if so how to please as im having same issues

Go to this link, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438088 .It has the kdz files you need. Then in order to successfully flash kdz click the guide within that link courtesy of Hyelton.
I have done stupid things in my life, but this may top them.
I purchased an used AT&T Optimus G Pro (E980) few days ago. I bought it unlocked and was using it on T-Mobile network without any problem. I live around the area where I get LTE. AND I was getting LTE. I was successful in rooting it and was in the process of installing a custom recovery when I softbricked. No problem, right?
1. I first tried to use (TOT) found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2420219 to get back to E980 stock. I could not get past 25% no matter what.
2. I then used (KDZ) to install F240L firmware. Dumb. I know, but at the time I did not know better.
3. I then used (KDZ) again to install E988. I had signal but only 2G speed.
4. I then used (TOT) to flash E980 stock. Great, but no signal. I tried various stuffs to get the signal working. I flashed all AT&T modems found. I tried installing different custom ROMs. I tried using dial pad method. I tried modifying bulidprop, but nothing is working.
5. I have also tried flashing Taiwan KDZ, Hong Kong KDZ, Central America KDZ, Panama KDZ, and German KDZ. I also tried 3 different AT&T TOT files. I can get signal on Taiwan & Hong Kong KDZ, but no signals on others.
6. I have successfully rooted my phone using Towelroot. I have installed SuperSu, BusyBox, an GPRO Kitkat Recvery.
6. Also, when I tried to flash different recoveries, it fails. PhilZ Touch CWM fails, and my phone is being recognized as the LG F240L and does not let me install at all even though I fully flashed Taiwan KDZ file (E988). LG 240L KDZ file is the first one I flashed when the AT&T TOT failed to flash.
I have no idea what I can do to get my LTE back. If someone can give any advise to get my modem work right, I would appreciate it. I am game to flashing any fimwares or trying different roms or anything.
Thanks.
Any help or suggestion is really appreciated.

Hello, I hope you already solved your problem by the time I'm writing this, but if you haven't, here is some extras to consider.
It could be funny to think about it, but it happens to everyone, we do everything we should, and we forget the basic stuff.
For basic stuff I'm referring to going into network preferences and setting up 4G/LTE as preferred network, you may also try to scan networks and see if a 4G/LTE network is on the list for your carrier, and obviously select it, if you don't see 4G networks then there could be an issue with your modem-rom combination, try something else.
Other thing is the APN, remember to set up the proper APN, maybe your phone had the proper setup when it came to you first but you wiped it all when you started flashing roms.
There are other advanced options that I haven't used to try to set 4G as preferred networks, but since I don't have 4G with my carrier I haven't had your problems to know they are, be sure to google them or search here on XDA.
Hope this helps bro!, let us know what works for you of if you still need ideas.

Thanks for your suggestion! I have an option to select GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto which has been selected. I have also manually entered the correct APN setting. I think I had messed up my phone when I flashed F240L firmware, but I am still looking for a way to get it start working properly again if possible.

can u tell us which model is it by removing battery and reading the label?
hi guys im new to the lg g3 (well any lg phone) just a couple of questions
from what ive read there isnt many roms due to the locked bootloader will the bootloader be unlocked in the future?
i have the D855 uk vodafone model is they a working TWRP or CWR for the g3?
ive rooted so does this mean i can at least remove some bloteware?
thanks guys sorry for questions :victory:

Probably yes, if the @thecubed and others beat the protection (last post - http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...3-vs98510b-t2890349/post55729952#post55729952)

There is only Tethered version and I would not recommend to use it. It's for advanced users only and it's not a "real" recovery. More on http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/recovery-twrp-2-7-1-3-t2831668

Yes, you can... , or freeze it. If you will the cause softbrick, use LG Flash Tool 2014 and flash in NORMAL mode latest stock ROM you used or use LG PC Suite. After this you need to re-root it. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-unroot-ota-using-lg-pc-suite-pc-t2802286)

thanks for the replys if the bootloader doesnt get unlocked then thats going to destroy the g3 for development isnt it
is they a way to flash latest stock rom and get off the vodafone branded rom so i at least get all the latest OTAs?
Not sure I understand you question, but if you mean, whether you will be able to update the phone via OTA in the future, it depends.
If not or if it will not work, unroot your phone, install OTA and the re-root and you should be fine.
But still - all of that is already described in dedicated threads, don't be afraid to take a look around. :fingers-crossed:
As for the development - I guess when it will not get unlocked, it will be from my perspective one of the most wasted money on Android phone for many.

lol sorry what i ment is im on a vodafone branded firmware now and i wanted to flash a unbranded latest uk stock rom so it will be first to get OTA as branded firmwares can be a bit behind is it possible?
thanks again:good:
I don't think so, but someone else should confirm it.
Eg. you can download FW based on IMEI (http://lg-firmware-rom.com/download-firmware.php?f=YOUR_IMEI_HERE), not based on whether it's branded or not.
But still you have option to use the tools like LG Flash Tool 2014 and simply flash latest firmware you want (for your variant)

I know its confusing but you can only flash TOT files with that tool - if you get your FW via the imei cause its a KDZ, for KDZ flashing you need to use this tool...

i have an american sprint lg g2, and before all these issues i was having the phone was a ls980, now that i have flashed a few roms and miraculously gotten download mode to work it says that my phone is the d802 model. I have no idea how this happened or whats going on. How do i get it back to ls980 so i can tot back to stock? Something is going on here and im starting to get kind of upset...
UPDATE:
SOMEHOW I DID IT! I flashed a ls980 rom and it moved the model back, and download is still working. Dont know how i did it exactly to get everything working, but im TOT'ing back to stock and trying everything all over again.
May have flashed a ROM with a modified build prop.

no kdz is the system file that contains all the system partitons
like how sony compiles their system updates in ftf format
