[Q] Restore stock firmware problem - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So i flashed orginal v10L, downloaded the kdz file via my IMEI on my G3 d855 with Lg flash tool 2014 (CSE flash).
One problem is that the sdcard is "clean" no preloaded apps/video/image etc, i checked device/data and there is no preload folder
Is there a way to restore?
I have done factory reset without any luck.

Repair your LG Optimus G if you've formatted /sns /firmware /persist. It repairs EFS

With this guide you can repair your LG Optimus G if you've formatted /sns /firmware /persist. Or it repairs EFS Partition and if you lost EFS Backup.
I made a factory reset and format /persist, /sns & /firmware. When you erase that partitions you remove all information about phone and drivers of phone's hardware.
To repair it you need this things:
- A Custom ROM in your phone
- Nandroid Backup of your LG Stock ROM
- Download Mode available
- LG FlashTool 2014
- Stock .KDZ of your phone's variant
With those things I could repair my phone.
First of all, go to CWM o Phliz recovery is better, and flash any custom rom, CM, Omni, LG Stock KK. Only Wipe data, restart your phone and when the phone starts up,
Find any Nandroid Backup from your PC of Stock ROM 4.1 and move them to phone "/clockworkmod/backup/" . Go to CWM and make a restore of your Nandroid Backup.
When it finish the restore, restart and wait until phone's starts up. Power Off your phone and put it on Download Mode (Volume up & Down + USB) . With LG Flashtool 2014 flash your .KDZ in CS EMERGENCY MODE. Wait more or less 20 minutes until process finishes. Restart your Phone, and It will be working normally.
You will have signal, audio, wifi, bluetooth, sensors, IMEI, all we be normally like when you bought your phone.

Did you remove the spaces from URLs?
BTW, there is no need to quote the entire post, it's just a waste of space and traffic...

I flashed some custom roms.( pure aosp, xenonhd, cm13). Then, i noticed that the camera flash doesn't work while the camera app is working. I can use flash with torch apps. It works perfectly. I did what you said. I used lg flashtool and stock kdz. It turned into stock 4.4.2. But the problem didn't solved. I tried lots of camera apps. All of them are same. Flash doesn't work while camera is working. Now i m using sling kahroba edition. How can i fix it ?
Sorry for my english

[Q] Please Help LG G3 D850

I tried flashing a rom into my phone.
It didn't work and I wanted to restore from the backup I made from TWRP.
I restored my original OS from TWRP, and it's booting up to it, but once it gets to my lockscreen and after a minute or so, it reboots. This happens every single time. Does anyone have any ideas of what to do?
Something is false with backup I would say.
Flash stock firmware, root it again and then play with custom rom again.
Since, I'm relatively new at flashing. I just want to make sure I am doing this correct.
So I can get the stock firmware from this site:
lgg3root (turns out I can't post the url yet since I'm a new user)
Then I would have to choose the ADB sideload option in TWRP since there would be no other way for me to flash it correct?
Also would flashing the stock firmware delete everything in my internal storage?

gps.conf

Hi everybody,
while playing a little bit with improving gps I destroyed my original \etc\gps.conf
Is here anybody, which could please upload a (german?) original gps.conf?
Thanks.
You might want to let people know which variant you're running (V500, V510) and also if you know which build of Android is on it.
You should install the latest TWRP custom recovery after and make a nandroid backup after you get the file replaced, or even before, too. ☺ Good luck!
Oh, sorry. I forgot: it is a v500 device running on 4.4.2 Stock ROM

Ah, someone else will have to help you then, I have a VK810.4G. I'm not in Germany anyway. You can help yourself by restoring the stock KDZ using LG Flash Tool 2014. Install TWRP first, make a nandroid backup, move the backup to external MicroSD or to USB OTG and then flash the latest stock KDZ for your model with the LG tool, which will also wipe internal storage. Get root on the stock, save the file you need to your external MicroSD or USB OTG, install TWRP and restore your nandroid backup. Then restore the file to it's proper place and set it's permissions the same as the original file in it's original location.
Where in Germany are you? I've been there almost 30 years ago. Bamberg, mostly.

[SOLVED] Can't Restore EFS Backup using TWRP

This is killing me.
I have the LG D852 v20j from Koodo/Telus in Canada stock 5.0.1
I bumped and rooted and installed TWRP 3.0.1 (unofficial)
I then backed up everything via TWRP (including EFS)
I also followed the manual method here to generate two .img files for EFS backup:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/efs-lg-g3-efs-backup-restore-t2907329
I upgraded to a stock based MM ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/canadian-d852-stock-bumped-rooted-rom-t3056843
IMEI was still there
I flashed the MM Videotron Modem he provided and I lost my IMEI number
Flashing the TELUS MM Modem doesn't work either
To restore it I have tried:
1- Restoring from TWRP the EFS alone
2- Reflashing the Dene ROM
3- Restoring EFS via manual method (works sucessfully but still "Unknown" IMEI)
4- Completely restoring via TWRP and even then trying the manual method
So, I have two backups (manual method and TWRP) and I still cannot restore my IMEI and get on any network.
I thought backups were foolproof.
What do I do?
I just had to flash an old LP BELL modem on the MM ROM and it worked. No need to restore efs partition.
see here for solution:

try flashing the MM stock rom you flashed and check if the IMEI is there. if it is, your best bet is to - from within that rom - go back to stock kdz/tot method and hopefully you get it back, you can then restore your backup with IMEI intact. this is what fixed my "unknown" IMEI from this exact situation except different model. another thing you can try before the kdz/tot method is to flash the MM rom and then restore your backup but do not reboot your device, after you restore your backup, flash the appropriate bootstack then you can reboot.
Ok, so the issue is resolved.
I just had to flash a working LP (BELL in this case worked) modem

Replacement Verizon phone not restoring nandroid backup

Any help or guidance will be appreciated.
I just got a replacement phone from Verizon with 46A and these are the steps i followed to try and restore a stock rooted lollipop rom from my old phone.
-flashed to 10B by TOT method
-rooted with Stump
-downloaded TWRP from play store
-flashed and got to TWRP recovery successfully
-created a new backup with just the boot.img
-placed the old nandroid backup in that folder
-wiped cache and dalvik/art
-flashed XDABBEB's VS985 24B bootstack
-restored my nandroid backup
...and then i kept getting a "secure boot error" at startup. Boot verification error. I could only get onto TWRP and download mode. I don't know what i did wrong. I looked through this forum for solutions but couldn't find any. So long story short, i ended up flashing back to 10B via TOT method. Any solutions to restore my old backup?
also another strange thing was when i moved my old backup to the new folder, it wouldn't show the checkboxes for boot, data, system etc to restore. i had to place the old backup in the same folder with the boot.img and i had to copy and replace it with the old backup for it to show when trying to restore it.
That used to happen to me when the boot image wasn't bumped. Can you try flashing the sharpening mod so boot can be bumped, and see if it solves your problem?
