Guys, I am using m11 snapshot version and I sense that the battery is draining very fast and the tab is heating up too . For example , I played 30min of hay day and lost 35 % of my battery and it was very hot while I played . Playing on my xperia ultra z for 1 hour and 30 minutes, lost only 27 % of my battery and it does not heat up like the tab . Anyone have these problems , is this normal? Some kernel to recommend I use , I'm using the stock cm11 kernel .
Best regards.

It is the cm as always is fast, but battery consumption and heat is complicated, making me go back to stock , which I think sucks. full of crap and slow.

Hi you lucky S3 owners. Could someone please tell me what the average use per hour is playing a game like:
Modern Combat 3
NOVA 3
Shadowgun
Please some info.
Thanks for taking your time.
Seems like no one plays games??
Brilliant
Since being a heavy S2 user i was never to impressed with its battery life (May have been caused by running a custom rom?) but i have a noticed a hugely significant improvement since using my S3 and it seems to handle games like a charm, Runs them extremely smooth and doesn't seem to drain the battery at all, I play NOVA:3 for hours on end and it only seems to take about 15% battery for an hour and half of playing, which I think is pretty good
Battery is brilliant on heavy games and multi tasking.after 3-5 cycles on charge, the battery and quad core really makes the phone fly with minimum drain.
@klinkso
Remember to calibrate the battery, after flashing.this can improve battery drastically on heavy drain

hello m usin CM 10 4.1.2 on my HOX and m having issue with battery my drain horrible last day my use 2 hours of screen on chating on facebookfor 2 hours, 10 min of surfing and my battery died in 5 hrs only so plz suggest me for better rom or suggest me for any other solution.
CM doesn't last as long as stock roms from my experience. 2-3 hours screen on time sounds pretty normal though. This is a BIG power hungry screen.
You can play around with different kernels if you want to try something... Otherwise, stock seems to have the best battery life at the moment.

Hi,
Based on what you are saying I can only recommend a new battery, since Android Jelly Bean (4.1.2) is battery draining, but clearly not as much as yours. When my phone is on standby (idle), and I wake about 8 hours later, it still has only lost up to 10%. However, I have a Xperia S so it should be a bit different...
I hope I helped.
If you have any question on changing battery on Xperia ion, feel free to ask.

Hi,
-you could enable stamina mode, it should be in power managment.
-You could flash back Android ICS 4.04 or GB 2.3 and see if it helps...
-When phone reaches 50% in battery level turn it off and pick out the battery (IF YOU MANAGE TO DO THIS) for a few minutes. Put it back and connect the charger, now charge the phone turned off for about 5 hours or overnight. Start the phone as normal and check if the battery life time has improved. (source for last advice:http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/154243#154243)
If I helped, press thanks
yipeee i think my problem is sloved
i tried instaling ics again and no improvement in battery, then i change it back to JB and root it.then i installed CWM and cleaned my dalvik cache, now my battery is awesm, for 7 hours of sleep it only drains 6%,no battery saver used, just extend battery life under battery settings. i think cleaning cache resolved my problem
Hi all,
I am on the latest update pushed for honor 8 pro in india and having a few problems after update.
1. Battery drains fast
2. Standby battery drain (7% in 5 hours)
3.Slow charging
4. Lags while day to day use(reduced the animation to .5 to avoid it)
5.heavy lags while playing PUBG mobile even on low frame rate)
I know some people will suggest me hard resetting my phone and do some tweaks but believe me I have tried all, it still doesn't work.
Is anyone else facing the same same issues as mine ?

I am on latest oreo as well. Only issues I face are standby drain and lags while playing PUBG. Otherwise phone's overall performance is good even battery is awesome. I am attaching screenshot of Screen on time after playing Coc for 2hrs. Check it out. And for charging I don't face any issues, it charges from 3% to 100 in 1hour 50mins approx.

Thanks for reply, but I am getting 4 to 4.5 hours of SOT also observe frame lags here and there in normal uses, I have done all the optimizations that a man possibly could do.
Could it be because honor choose to eliminate heating issue by limiting the CPU and GPU performance in latest updates ?
Don't know how well PUBG was working on android 7 because I recently have started playing it, do you have any idea ?

Man, m totally irritated, when I charge my phone while using it takes me 4 hours to fully charge, even though it says "fast charging" on lock screen.
Shame Honor Shame.

Why are you using it while charging. Mine charges in 1hr 50mins from 3% to 100% but I don't use it while charging. And I never got SOT below 7hrs, even after playing 3hrs of clash of clans game for one charge cycle. For me battery performance is just awesome and overall performance as well. I don't know why you'll are facing issues.
I bought an s9 recently, its got ****ty battery life outta box, gets over 40 degrees even on playing pubg for 30mins or so draining around 15-20% of battery in same amount of time, battery backup is poor, should i get it checked by Samsung or is it normal? Also will rooting the device and installing custom rom improve performance and/or battery life??? Help!

Depends on how recently. As with anything like this, it does take time for the battery to settle in and go through a few charge cycles.
