[Q] HOX battery problem - HTC One X

hello m usin CM 10 4.1.2 on my HOX and m having issue with battery my drain horrible last day my use 2 hours of screen on chating on facebookfor 2 hours, 10 min of surfing and my battery died in 5 hrs only so plz suggest me for better rom or suggest me for any other solution.

CM doesn't last as long as stock roms from my experience. 2-3 hours screen on time sounds pretty normal though. This is a BIG power hungry screen.
You can play around with different kernels if you want to try something... Otherwise, stock seems to have the best battery life at the moment.

Best rom base on battery?

Can anyone tell me the best rom and kernel combine that would last at least 8hrs moderate use. For some reason the milestone 5 and r156-384mhz doesnt seem good to me. Im only going for 6hrs.
doing what? I go about 16 hours / 3 hours screen on with completely stock setup...
What is your screen on time? That is the major factor in how long your battery will last. From what I've seen, most ROM/kernel combos won't net you much more than 3 hrs of screen on time with the standard battery, maybe 3.5 hrs depending on what you're doing. Extended battery gets something like 3.5-4 hrs screen on time from what I've seen.
What everyone above said is correct, the screen on time is the big player in battery life. Also, changing your kernel can impact battery life a lot. Try a few if you are unhappy with your current one.
Try rascream rom coupled with trinity kernel....users have reported an avg of 4-5 hours screen on time
I'm using Bamf with James Bond kernel. Perfect combo.
Screen on time of about 4hrs but also important the deep sleep only reduces my battery by 0.2% per hour. Most roms tend to be like 2-10% screen off which leaves u less power for screen on.
Btw I use wifi and hdspa on all the time. And sync always on.
And I do use my phone

Which ICS rom has given you the best battery life?

So right now I'm on AOKP, and this and every ICS rom I've had bad battery life, I have only gotten 2 hours of screen on time, maybe 2 hours 20 min. I came from Juggernaut when I would easily get 3.5 hours of screen on time, and I even find myself charging my phone a lot more often. So just wondering which rom/kernel has given you guys the best battery life

On GB: Juggernaut/Synergy
On ICS so far: Telus stock v4.0.3/stock kernel
Darkside Telus 4.0.3 build has fantastic battery life for me. I get about 2% battery drain per hour (when the phone is sitting idle) and on a typical day I will still have more than 50 - 60% battery left when I go to bed. That's after the phone has been on for 15 or 16hrs with moderate use.
If I use the phone more heavily I can get over 3 hours of screen on time.
If we're talking ICS rom's, I'd say 'CM9 20120620 Unofficial' gave me great battery life. I used it for almost a week. I had BLN disabled and was very impressed with the battery life. I could make it an entire day with mod/heavy use. I've run several ICS rom's, and by far it beats them all hands down. It might not be on par with our GB rom's yet....but it's getting close. They've now removed BLN support from the kernel because of the battery drain. But I found just disabling it was enough for me.
I'm getting ready to flash nightly 6/27 with bln disabled. I'll see what kind of improvement I get, if any, with it being disabled.

i put on darksideevolution v7 yesterday and after 10 hours i had 65% left. i did about 40 minutes on the phone, texting all day, wifi/data turned off when it wasnt being used (easy to turn on/off with the toggles)
Honestly I haven't had good battery life since I got this phone 2 months ago. I've been tinkering alot, mainly with Darkside and now AOKP with Eugene's kernel on lionheart. My wife's stock t989 gets great battery life, but I can't live in stock. It seems like I can leave my phone unused sometimes, maybe overnight, and the battery life is great (9% used in 10 hours) but as soon as I pick it up, it drops 20%. Must be that big screen. Anyway, I'm trying to get this worked out. I'm getting my preferred rom figured out and then hoping to let the battery settle into it. Always an experiment...

[Q] Battery life

Lately my Gnex's battery life has gotten pretty bad. Yesterday I had 25% battery left, while the screen-time was 2 hours and 30 minutes (it has been like this for a while now). I used to have at least 3,5 to 4,5 hours of screen-time on one charge. And, yes, I've tried to change ROM several times, with no effect. Maybe it would help to buy a new battery?
Thanks

That's actually decent battery life on this phone. Second of all. Screen on time doesn't really mean anything. It depends on what your doing with your phone i.e web browsing, Pandora streaming. both use data/wifi, but only one has the screen on the entire time during use. There's a great thread in the general section about how to improve battery life, but the best way, is by buying an extended battery. What I have done is simply bought a slim extended battery, and external battery charger, so I can switch batteries whenever my phone is about to die.

Try to use Trinity Kernel or Stock Kernel.
I think it could be the newest Google search update. I have a ton a screen off wakes and that's the only thing I can think of that's causing it.

CleanRom 5 battery

Hi,
This question is for anyone using the latest CleanRom on their Note II. Just wondering if your average battery drain is around 4-5%/h. I use BetteryBatteryStats. I also check the Battery section under Settings. The most battery life I have been able to get is 12 - 15 h with 1-2h screen time. At this point, the battery is at less than 10%. Is this normal ? I thought I remembered getting better life from older versions of CleanRom. I know these numbers are never achievable on any AOSP rom that I have tried. Just wanted to see what everyone's experience is with battery life. Just post any thoughts!
Thanks for your feedback! I appreciate your time!

Just like anyone else, it all depends on what kernel you're on and what apps you have wakelocking. I've been using Clean 5.0 as my daily for months and the battery life lasts me throughout the day until I need to sleep at which point I plug in... but sometimes, I'm running into fast battery drain due to some apps going nuts on me or when Bluetooth is trying to link from a long distance (where the phone would heat up and drain like mad... btw this only happened to me twice in many months). After a reboot, it usually clears up and after a recharge, I'm back to 14 hours with 20% left at night. I'm not one to be anal about my battery drain if it lasts me until I sleep (because I have NEVER had a smartphone that would last me that long without plugging in... in fact, barely half the day would be when my device would need to be fed).
I'm using Perseus' latest with a few screen tweaks, no CPU or power tweaks, using Facebook constantly, Pulse, SMS/MMS, camera throughout the day, Next 3D launcher with all the fun animations running, YouTube, Pandora when driving (so my Bluetooth is on constantly)... let's just say I'm a heavy user. When my kids get a hold of my device, they run a bunch of games and drain around 10% by the time I get it back.
I am happy with the battery life on my Clean Rom 5.0/Perseus Note II. I won't fuss about it as long as it lasts longer than half the day because that is what I was used before upgrading.

Help, battery draining real fast on stock MIUI 10 PIE. Was long lasting on HavocOS

Hello, with this I attach the battery status screenshots.
It even drops 3 percent in just 30 minutes.
Now the battery already dead around 5pm. After I run naptime, its low battery at 5 pm.
It used to last for 2 days with havoc os. Without nap time.
Help...
Thank you

A year ago I also have huge battery drain with MIUI. Only solution was move to custom ROM.
I get up to 10 hours of SOT on MIUI Pie Global Beta and my phone lasts almost 2 days with moderate use (Not just chatting and browsing, gaming too) I really cannot understand others bad battery times, since custom roms are no option for me on this phone, since I like MIUI more than Stock and if I brick my phone, I'm f**** up, cause I have no Mi Store here, so I not take the risk.
