[Q] Starbucks app compatible with Note 4? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Really? The Starbucks app not compatible with the Note 4?
Man, if I had known ...
Anyone putting together a listing of non compatible apps?
4Nails
(without his coffee this morning)

WTF?!?! Your right, I can't download it from the play store! Funny thing is, the new Words with Friends app looks weird also. Some of the text is really small.
You know, I wonder, because of the note's pixel density (or something), it thinks it's tablet and not a phone, so it says it's not compatible?
Can someone set a link to a Starbucks apk so we can sideload it?

Okay guys! It seems to work just fine on the Note4. Here is the link to download and sideload it:
http://www.apkcraft.com/download/starbucks
So, for all you coffee lovers out there, here you go.

Yes it works fine. I saved the apk from my previous note.

Guys, here is a link to download the Starbucks latest (v2.7.1):
http://downloader-apk.com/download/dl.php?dl=com.starbucks.mobilecard

The starbucks app has always been the worst... I remember when I saw it on the S4, the barcode image was very small.
On the Nexus 5 the app wouldn't even update the balance.

Barcode size doesn't matter. If barista can scan it

Never said it did.
The app was and still is ugly and poorly written.

Then stop complaining and write a better one

Comics apps

I have a problem with both the Comics and DC Comics apps from Comicxology. They FC pretty much immediately after starting.
Has anyone else gotten them to work on their tabs, or is it incompatible with the A100?!?

I just tried out the Comics app from Comicxology. I navigated through a lot of the options so see if it would force close on me. No problem what so ever.
It seems you are having quite a few issues with games/apps. Did you accidentally remove something you weren't supposed to? If not, have you tried doing a factory reset?
Yeah, I've actually thought about doing a wipe. The A100 doesn't seem nearly as stable or fast as it originally was.
The odd thing however, is that I contacted the dev behind the Comic app, and got this reply:
"No ETA quite yet, but we have some cool things planned!
comiXology Support"
I asked whether their app is compatible with the A100/7 inch tabs and whether they'll be supported in an upcoming edition.
Needless to say, I'm kinda confused now that you're saying that it works fine

That is weird, I just downloaded the DC Comic app to check it too. Both of them worked for me just fine.

If you open settings, yes. Just close the tab.
Right after installing and testing the new Flash App I had the first crash and reboot of my Nexus. So still a bit buggy...
mine's working fine. I use flash for very few sites, but at least it works so far.
How can it be disabled after install?
Thanks
i think ill pass.. my phone has been working great without it thus far.. lol

Unistalled it anyway. The minute I added it to the phone it started to hiccup. F#$#ing Flash.
yesss! i love it! I just came from froyo and i was really upset that the latest and greatest android phone didn't support flash! I called up samsung twice to vent about how pissed i was that the principal selling point of android phones over apple's phones is lacking on google's flagship model.
It also give me a great argument at Bell's loyalty department to get my self a KILLER plan
But now its here! and i am ever so happy!

I agree what a disappointment. Sure it works but it completely ruined the browsers buttery smooth scrolling.
Just install it and set plugins to 'on demand'. That way it won't ruin the performance, but you have the opportunity to start flash if you want to.
don't miss it. So won't bother installing it until I need it for something.
It doesn't hurt to have it especially if you set it to on demand. Surprised at how many people are unaware of this option.

No flash ad banners either. Yay.

[APP]About Photoshop touch

I am wondering is there any way to make the playstore treat my n710x as tab10.1 then let me pay and install photoshop touch
because it would be lovely to use n710x with the 1024 pen to edit photo or create image when travel
For this, I have done some researches and I found this:
But seems its not compatible with n710x.....plz help
If you have a tablet, you can buy it there and transfer file like I did.
Also if you are rooted, editing build prop to say that phone is a transformer might work.

Yeah, I too purchased it on my tablet and transferred it to my phone. Works well.

I too, I backed up from my tablet and installed on the N2 works well, very happy.
Can't say the same for Sketchbook Pro, (no menus) I guess there isn't enough space for Samsungs Giant OS menus. Seems Adobe made there own and it scales dpi 1:1.

How do I buy Photoshop Touch?
Is there a way to buy the Adobe Photoshop Touch app to install on my Galaxy Note 2?
I do not have a tablet so I cannot use that to download the app and then extract the apk to sideload my Note 2.
Google play lists the Note 2 as incompatible. Is there a way I can purchase and download the app on to the desktop?
I ran a search and am not able to come up with any useful link on how to yet.
I can help yours boys. Just PM me.

All you need is the APK installs fine on the note 2 without being rooted... that's all I'm going to say.. you just need the apk.
I enjoy photo editing so was looking for this. Adobe doesnt let me pay for it so I found a unlegit copy. It is available all over the web illegally but you should pay the developer for their work - should they allow you to!!! I got my copy from a very coolapk site but its japanese or chinese or something. .if I find I actually use it I will pay the dev for their work should they ever decide they want my money :/ in my experience, apps that say not compatible on the market will obviously install on an incompatible device but there will be something about it that doesnt wotk properly and is usually related to screen size. Havent come across any problems with ps touch yet.

Thanks... I did get the app... though, NOT the way I would have liked.
I hope Adobe makes a compatible version for Note 2 as it does match all requirements except physical screen size.
I would surely buy it... I was crazy enough to buy the whole Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection for my desktop... I wouldn't mind spending a few bucks for the phone app.
Until then... it is unfortunate.

+1. Shame I had to resort to getting the app in an unethical way! I would definitely pay if there was a N2 version! Plus there would be no problems with updates!
So if I buy it for my note 10.1 surely it will say incompatable if I try to download on my note 2 from the play store ?

If you buy it on the note 10.1 you can extract the apk with a root explorer and trabsfer the apk to the note 2. Works perfectly fine

I was excited to read about the tablet workaround. So I bought it today and moved the APK over to my Galaxy Note 2. Sadly, the new 1.4.1 that was released today doesn't seem to work, much of the UI appears offscreen, or stacked on top of each other. It seems that I paid my $10 a day too late.
Does the Play store allow older versions to be downloaded?
I guess someone need to edit the build prop or DPI so the new v1.4.1 version can fit perfectly on galaxy note 2

Since you actually PAID for it, i think it would be OK to procure the older version of the app in an unethical way, like warez websites.

deal breaker: no multi-window

I use multi-window a lot on my Note 3.
I thought it was an Android feature.
Apparently it's a proprietary software not an Android feature.
Ok. So what's the point? Omni will come for the find 7a and support multi windowww
Sent from my X909 using xda app-developers app
The point is to generate a healthy discussion.
Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe they're is a way to get multi-window on the find 7.
I looked up omniRom. It looks like but it'll require rooting. I don't like rooting.
I'm not trying to be contrarian.
I was literally about order the Find 7 (not 7a) but then realized I have to sacrifice multi-window.
I'm using MW right now. Reading chats in what's app & writing this.
You couldn't have read too much because you cannot order the 7 yet. They haven't even announced when you might be able to put in your pre order. The outfit making the screens has just gone into production which implies the wait will be at the least several more weeks and more likely later. They answered an email asking with an early June estimate.
As to being a deal breaker that's in your court. I won't own a phone without root myself, that is one of my deal breakers. We each make our choices...
No one asked you if it a deal breaker to you.
It's a deal breaker to people who require a multi-window feature.
Clearly we have identified oppo fanboys.
Pre-production fanboys at that lol.
I never said I was going to buy the phone and haven't made up my own mind. I find it a little disconcerting that the app storage is quite low and surprisingly it cannot be easily reformatted as I expected. Or at least previous offerings and the 7A cannot be easily repartitioned. I also am a bit surprised that they are not shipping on 4.4X since a pilot version of it would have been available to them quite a while ago. Considering the fact that they have just finished their latest skin for 4.3 you have to figure it may be a while before you see 4.4X on this phone.
As to your response I don't need to ask permission on a public forum to speak my mind and I don't care what you did or did not ask. My response was directly to the point, you have made your choice and its as valid as mine. It is as you say a deal breaker for you but you are the only person you speak for, others can speak for themselves. I also you use multi window which I will simply add if I decide to buy in here. Many will do the same meaning its not a deal breaker for them either. Course some don't use it and don't care. We all make our choices. Think before you type.
Have you tried "Multi Window - Multi Browsing" in the play store. I understand it is a partial solution only.
I had a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, nice (never used S-Pen ever except to try it) but wanted 4.4 so bought an Sony Xperia Ultra GPE (Now that could use multi-window). Went to a new HTC One M8 (a phone again).
I will pick up an Oppo Find 7 (not 7a) when available. Specs look great (and obviously I'm a gadget geek).
So I would say try the "Multi Window - Multi Browsing" app on the Note 3, just to kick the tires.
Thanks Rudolph.

I will definitely install exposed, and that's a great solution. (Doh). The issue with exposed is that it requires root. It is a good reason alone to root (but there are other good reasons as well).

People can correct me if I'm wrong, but when you are rooted the ability to deny apps root requests isn't that a security plus.

Not yet, it's unofficial and not yet merged. I've been including it in the test builds but it won't be in nightlies.
(Why? Try using G+ when the device is in landscape... Or just do a portrait/landscape transition. Those are the two main issues that have prevented merging.)

There is sense.
I use multi window like hell on my note 3.
I won't even say once or twice a day.
I can say I use it most of the day because I use WhatsApp a lot.
So I continuously have whats app & RSS reader or the browser or youtube open at the same time.
I watch youtube while chatting. I cannot imagine having to leave youtube, go to whats app, write a reply, go back to youtuve, wait for buffering, watch 5 seconds, then go back to whats app, then back to YouTube, buffering. :silly::silly::silly:

So, just stick with your note 3 and leave us here playing with our device calmly.
We not really care about daily usage. We just play the device software.
When we getting boring with a rom, we change it to other rom. and that's it.
That is how the flasher live everyday. Never stick to one kind of features. lol :silly:

Dude, I just use MMGuardian to block what I feel is unsafe. You can install the parent app on your phone and control it remotely. I highly recommend it.
*Edit* I'm using the free version and it gives me just about everything I need. It doesn't have logging though.
