The material of above images are test prototype, and this is real one that you will get.

That looks pretty sweet!

They announced this last Friday. They tried posting a thread but you have to be a vendor to post links to paid items, or something like that. They were closed down.
I Kickstarted their pebble connect 2 and didnt have time to try out their adapters because I moved onto the G watch and now the Moto lol.
I backed the M225 and now I wait til Feb 2015. But with the availability of the metal bands soon, some may opt for that in November.

They've done basically nothing to address the stress on the back of the watch causing cracks. No thanks.

Lol, I am exactly at the same situation as you. I sold my Pebble Steel before the SteelConnect was shipped so I managed to managed to transfer the unit to another buyer, then now I am using the G Watch (also trying to find a buyer), before my Moto 360 arrives.
But seeing the reply they gave when addressing the crack issue (I don't think they have an idea what the crack was even about), I might hold my horses for this one and wait for the Official Metal band instead.

Agreed, the reply was off. lol But looking at the protos, it does look like both has no stress on the semi circles, but I could be wrong. So I'l stick with them for now lol.

I feel the same.
Until the Moto 360 isn't connect DIRECTLY
by a 3rd party band I don't see anything wrong by using the Steelconnect adapter.

The chintzy plastic look of the lighter one had originally put me off but if they're gonna make the final run from stainless steel I'm definitely down for that since I plan on changing my bands frequently. Pledged for a Silver 180.

What he said. They need to shape the adapter such that it can't flex at all with the watch, but in their pictures it appears they haven't done so. It also looks really chintzy (and I don't mean the 3D-printed plastic prototyping, but the shape which makes it look as if the watch sits on top of the band. And for something with zero moving parts and zero complexity, their timeline of February delivery at best is ridiculous.
On the plus side, there's just about no chance they'll be shipping. In the first three days they've managed only 16% of their goal, and as the lower award levels run out, bumping the price up by 20-30%, the rate that people sign up will slow. They'll need to presell around another 350 of these to meet their goal, or close to ten a day. I don't see that happening, especially with the relatively limited sales of the watch itself.

I do think Feb is a bit far. Also, the image with the yellow strap, the watch is sitting on top of it, it is a NATO. I feel like the watch by default looks like it sits on top of the band. I also feel they may miss the backing levels needed. That being said I am interested in backing, just not sure which I will go for.

I love the idea, however it for both the price and the wait, it is likely other options will present themselves for new bands before February.

Yes, the Feb 2015 delivery is another thing that puts me off, its almost 6 months away, and many things can happen in 6 months, especially the wearables industry, we might even see a Moto 360-2 for all we know.
Update: Seems like Update #2 has modifications to address the backplate cracking issue. Its a different solution as compared to the inflexible 1st link like those of the Strapcode, but it seems to do the job? In fact with the modification, I like the 180 more than the design of the 225...

Long story short.
I want to use 3rd party metal bands and I want to reduce at minimum the risk of cracking.
The ONLY solution so far is the Steelconnect adapter.
If you pretend 100% safety DO NOT modify your 360.
Easy like that.

Except the steelconnect does absolutely nothing to reduce the risk of cracking. If anything it looks like it may increase the pressure on the back.

This was the question I had for the founder of the company. It is also why I feel the M225 might be the better option because theoretically the extension with the angle and flat fixed surface should push upward and away from the crack susceptible area of the watch. I believe the reason the back cracks is because of a fundamental design flaw whereas the strap is connected to the main body in such a way that the strap will naturally curve down depending on the wrist size creating that pressure. The M180 might also accomplish the same shifting of the pressure upward because it basically acts like someone with a large wrist and the standard moto straps causing them to travel a longer distance in parallel to the watch body before curving around the wrist of the individual.

What is the Kickstand4u™?
It is a kickstand you can apply to any device period. It is a plastic piece with 4 adjustable settings (two for phones and two for tablets) for different viewing angles and different orientations. It is attached using an adhesive sticker.
What comes with the Kickstand4u™?
The kickstand with adhesive backing(duh), alcohol wipe, installation instructions, and a spare adhesive backing.
What finishes come with the Kickstand4u™?
Clear, semi-clear, glossy black, and matte black.
Does it work with tablets?
Yes. 7" tablets and 10"+ including iPads (BOO APPLE!) Mouseglider is in the process of making an extension for tablets. Not sure about the ETA on this.
Installation & Removal:
Kickstand4u comes with installation instructions that a chimp can follow. The adhesive comes with a small strip of adhesive that you can use to figure out where to apply the kickstand. The adhesive is pretty strong as it held up a few tablets I had with no issue or signs of popping off with just a few millimeters of contact. The install on my Galaxy S3 was simple and quick and I had it working in no time at all. I had to play around with the proper placement and the correct orientation for a tablet. Tablet install instructions can be found here(http://www.remotesystems.com/kicksta...l-instructions).
Removal is a bit trickier as this is an adhesive. So some of you that don't want to slap on something to your naked phone might not want to use this. I have tried the removal off my Galaxy S3 and it sent smoothly without any sticky residue, scratches, or any gunk left behind.Mouseglider has removal instructions on his site http://www.remotesystems.com/kickstand4u-faq .
Installation: 9 out of 10 (10 is highest)
Removal: 7 out of 10
Use, Durability, Practicality, Function
Once the install was done, I was pretty much blown away by how much I actually use a kickstand. It is a bit stiff when you first use it but it breaks in after about a week of daily use. I have used many different types of kickstands from ones built into phones (Evo 4G, Evo 4G LTE, Thunderbolt) and ones built into cases (Seidio Convert, Seidio Active) and this is by far the best kickstand I have used to date. The width of this kickstand makes it ideal on different surfaces and in car use. Those thin little stands would not hold up to a sharp turn in a car. I use these on my Nexus 7 for car rides for the kids and it stays standing through all turns and stops.
I also applied two of them to my Nexus 7. My GOD this was awesome. A 7” tablet is great for watching videos in bed but I always had to hold the damn thing. I put two of these on and left it on my nightstand and it does WONDERS.(One would work just fine too but I wanted two damn it!) I now have insomnia because of this thing. I slapped it onto the back of the Nexus 7 without any issues despite the textured back. It has held on strong and I actually use my Nexus 7 more because of kickstand4u.
While the kickstand on phones is not a new idea, the ability to slap it on whatever and where ever is what makes this stand out. I'm sure you can find other uses for this on other devices. Can't get any simpler than this.
Use: 9 out of 10
Durability: 8 out of 10
Practicality: 8 out of 10
Function: 9 out of 10
Pros:
Very sturdy
4 viewing angles
Easy Installation
Different finishes for different devices
Cons:
A little long to remove but you won’t be doing it often.
Insomnia from watching stuff on your device all night long because of this thing.
Overall:
Buy it if you do a lot of video viewing or want to prop your phone or tablet up at work but don't want to buy a dock or have a dock made for your device. Awesome for movies on tablets and for flights instead of holding your tablet up.
Where can I get one?

scarrmrcc,
Thanks for the feedback, I will look into the shipping and look into the possibilty of eliminating "tracking", as right there would save you 0.85 cents.
If that might help you decide, I could also maybe put in a plain envelope and save you a few more cents.
This is a new product and I am still trying to figure everything out. But I believe you are getting a competitively priced one of a kind quality product at 50% off which puts everything at a net price to you at around $8.93 with the current shipping - includes a 1 year warranty and 60 day satisfaction return policy.
But thanks so much for the feedback - I really appreciate it!
I love the idea of this product, however I wonder of the designer might consider a version with the corners of the kickstand leg angled like the one on the case I've linked to below, as this significantly improves stability in landscape orientation.

Hello galt,
I am the designer of the kickstand4u tm - doing the blade the way your link/picture shows, doesn't really improve the stability in the Landscape position, what it does do is allow for a steeper angle when viewed in the Landscape position. This is because the blade is wide at the bottom to give it stability in the Portrait position. Therefore if the blade "did not" have that angled corner(s), the phone would be in a more upright angle which might be to upright for comfortable Landscape viewing. So by putting an angle in the blade gives the blade a less upright position for better viewing in the Landscape position. A bad analogy; think of a big heavy motorcycle, if the surface is super solid (not tar where it would dig in and thus fall over on a hot summer day), then just a pointed stick for a kickstand would provide all the stability the heavy motorcycle would need.
With all that being said, the kickstand4u tm has adjustable viewing angles to over come the need for a wide base with an angle cut in. Besides the fact that the phone doesn't weight much at all to affect the stability even if it were to be detrimental to its stability, but as I said above, it does not make it more stable with the angle cuts in the Landscape position.
The kickstand4u tm can also be mounted on your device anyway you see fit to accommodate your preference and can be installed on any device.
I thank you for the comment, as it is much appreciated. I hope I have answered your question.
Thank you!
Thanks for the explanation.
I've placed an order, I'm very excited for this product as I consider a dual-orientation kickstand a necessity, but can rarely find good cases with this option.
Question: the site offers the product in various finishes, but the link to show them doesn't seem to work. Can you show us the finishes?

Hello galt,
Thank you for the order, I am sure you will enjoy them! But to answer your question, the different finishes are shown above at the top of this thread, post #1 - I can see them just fine on XDA, I also can see them on my website, maybe you can paste troubled link here so I can try it.
Anyway, here is the direct link to the different finishes in case all else fails: http://www.remotesystems.com/images/all%20samples.jpg
Again, thank you for the order, you will get a tracking number via email tomorrow when it is shipped.
Edited: yes, I also like dual orientation kickstands, I mean why not make full use of a kickstand if that is what you are looking for? There will be an add on extender for tablets sometime this summer that will give even more versatility to 7" tablets and above - it simply slips onto the kickstand blade and will be thin, lightweight, and adjustable. I will post pictures when final design is finished.
Factory Blemished kickstand4u tm available
As of 01-12-2013, I have some factory blemished kickstand4u tm available. If there is an interest, use Promotion Code "BLEM" - Promotion is good until they are gone.
The quantity is limited. They have a very small "stress blemish" when they were ejected from the mold. The "stress blemish" area does not affect the integrity or product performance in anyway, it is a cosmetic issue. They are only available in Matte Clear.
If you are interested - use the promotion code "BLEM"
So Bottom line: Retail Price = $9.95 - BLEM 70% off Discount Promotion Code = your price of $2.98 - shipping and handling = $3.95 - Your total cost = $6.93 - Yes we take PayPal.

What area do you get stuck in? For some reason, you have to put the coupon code in twice. On the very first time which does not show the discount and then one at the check out which then "will" show the discount. The first one doesn't seem to do anything, it could be a programing error. I am working with the web software techs and they are upgrading to a new system. But it should work.
Try going thru the whole checkout and let me know. It should work, if not let me know and I will try and fix after I hear from you. BTW when you put the code in, you need to enter the same code in both places - at the cart and before the checkout.
Thanks
EDIT: I just tried both codes and you don't have to enter the code in the very first step - just enter the code in the next step and it should work. They both worked for me. But please let me know so I can fix any problems.
EDIT 2: I think I have it fixed - the error was my fault in programing - it should work correctly now without having to enter the Coupon Code twice.

Alternate Closing of the kickstand4u tm
As of 01-20-13
Link to "Alternate" way to Close the kickstand4u tm
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVYXCUIEJgY
This way is especially helpful when new, as the kickstand4u tm is a little stiff. This is the proper area "touch point" to use when closing. When the pressure is at the very edge of the kickstand blade, it will close very easily. When closing by hand, use the same principle. Pressing on the short piece of plastic that looks like an upside down capital "T" will damage the kickstand.

MoKo Slim Folding Cover Case - Review

EDITED FOR NEW IMFORMATION:
Ok the first of the new cases I ordered is here, and I thought I would give some sort of a review on it since I know good information about Nexus 2013 cases is at a premium right now. I am by no means a tech review professional so forgive me any mistakes or whatever, just giving my opinion so far. I will try to be as exhaustive as I can because I feel that too much information can't hurt anyone.
Here is the case.
The Good: Well made, fits tablet perfectly, looks nice, feels nice in hand.
The Bad: The stand on this device is horrible. If you decide you want a case that offers a well placed, functional stand for Netflix or reading, this is NOT the case for you. EDIT: Just realized that Smart Cover function is not very smart. See video below, but if you like this function this case may be a bad investment.
The Verdict = 3 Stars: As long as you don't require a stand that's particularly stable, easy to use or adjustable in any way, or like the smart-cover functionality, this device is nearly perfect in all other areas.
First Impression:
As I more or less expected, it came in a simple plastic bag with no name on it. With these early Chinese cases, this is normal I have found. Also noticed right away that the stamped in logo on the front reads "MOCO" not "MOKO". Actually it could just be a bad attempt at an English "K" but it certainly reads as "C". Not an issue for me, just something you notice right away. The case smells fine. Weird thing to say but this has been a problem with cheap Chinese cases in the past, where they smell like the toxic waste likely produced when making them. This one has very little smell at all, and not at all unpleasant.
Upon Further Review: As I began to look at the case, I will say that I was a little more impressed than I thought I would be. I ordered this case SOLELY because it was shipping soonest, and I had another case in mind for my daily driver. It won't be released till the 23rd. Installation of the device into the case was a breeze. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Velcro fastener in here. I had hoped for one but you couldn't tell on the pictures, so it was a nice find. Once I Velcro'd the case in there, I found the fit extremely satisfactory. The cutouts and openings are all flawlessly placed for maximum accessibility with max protection as a secondary goal. Exactly what you'd expect from a Slim case. The only possible gripe for some of you is that the headphone cutout is VERY close to the jack and if you have a fat headphone connector on your cans, they may not fit or may cause sideways pressure on the jack itself. It isn't a problem with either my Apple Earbuds or my Sennhieser cans, but I could see it as a potential issue for some, perhaps users of full-sized cans. The camera, for you douche bags who want take photos with your tablet, works fine while in the case. The girl i was with last night was kind enough to be my test subject an there was no sign of a blockage or other line-of-sight issue.

The feel of the case itself is that of plain ole Faux Leather. This Folio is VERY smooth, with literally no texture at all. Makes it fairly slippery compared to my old Blurex, but I don't see it as being "too" slippery to the point where you might drop it. I suppose if this can be an issue for you or your kids, another case might better suit you. The case forms a nice overlap of about half an inch all the way around the tablet, so the occasional short drop will very likely be survivable. A spill is another matter, however. As with all slim cases, it offers little in the way of protection from errant liquids.
The strap on the back and the, uh, totally NOT superfluous credit card holder, both work fine but in a barely useful sort of way. Honestly I'd say they serve no purpose at all except at the very least they do offer some minuscule amount of shock absorbency if you should drop the thing face down.
Finally I looked at the stand. I immediately wished I hadn't. Boy does this thing stink. It's very difficult to get the device into a standing position(impossible in portrait since this one is landscape only). Once there, it is not very stable. The bottom of the case, the part it rests upon while standing, has a bend in it(where the spine of the case is). This makes it extremely prone to tip over backwards. Especially while sitting it up to begin with. This process is neither user friendly or intuitive. Even after doing it several times and having a full understanding of it, it just never feels smooth. It feels awkward and rather annoying to prop it up every time. Below is a photo of the device froma side view so you can see what I mean.
After my last case, a BLUREX Magyc folio Case With Multi-Angle Stand I suppose I just expect a certain amount of ease when it comes to this, for it to require no thought and little effort to prop up my device. When I am working I am constantly closing my tablet then opening it again to read. Many, many times per day. Therefor this is a deal-breaker to me. For those of you who care less about the feature, or use it far less often, you may not mind it at all.
EDIT: NEW INFORMATION ABOUT THIS CASE. The smart-cover function barely works. I didn't notice this before because I hadn't really spent any time with the case. But now that I have, it rarely works to unlock my tablet. I don't know if the magnet is too weak, small or placed wrong. Being that this is a cheap Chinese case it may simply be that my particular case is made poorly, and others will not have this problem. Below is a video to show what I mean. I will be adjusting the device to 3 stars because of this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sGNwF_G16s
I really don't know what else to say so I will just pot a couple more shots of the case and leave it at that.
Thanks for the review! I was just about ready to pull the trigger on this one, but now I will explore other options.

Exactly why I posted it. It's a fine case other than the stand issue. But for me that's the most important feature of a case. Good luck in your search and if Blurex posts a new Magyc case for our device, JUMP ON IT. They released a new case today, I got email about it. Just not the type I want. It's likely better than the one above, since it does not have a stand which bends under and back, but instead works almost like the one I am used to.
I think the stand is perfect.....not sure wtf you really talking bout there..

To each his own I suppose. Glad you are happy with the feature. I am not. Perhaps my unit is made wrong, or we just have different ideas about what constitutes a good stand. As long as you are happy, I'm happy for ya.

Well from your pictures you dont even have it tucked in all the way... But its completely stable and at a perfect cubicle desk viewing angle....
For 99 cents...what I paid, this may be the best case I have ever seen. Then again, I may just have lower expectations for 99 cents.

I am not considering the price in this review. The point of it is to help people determine if this case is a suitable daily driver for them. If you start adjusting value vs price point etc, this whole thing gets messy fast. I am only looking at the end result, which is the case you get. I'll leave it to others to decide if a case is worth more to them because it costs less, etc. I did in fact have it all the way tucked in when doing this review. Maybe not in the picture, but that fact has not made it any less annoying to prop it up compared to a case like my previous one. So i stand by my opinion, which is after all just my opinion and not a statement of fact. Others can read my review, and yours if you chose to make one, and decide for themselves

Quality very well written review. Thank you, even though it didn't help as I already received the case. I still enjoyed the review haha, good **** man
Updated the OP with some new and unfortunate information about this case, for anyone reading this far down
OK, call me a pervert but she was wearing purple
OK I stop. Thanks for the review.
That new updated info could vary between devices because I do not have that problem. So it's hit or miss

Yup but certainly worth mentioning. I doubt the screw up was on just *ONE* case. Likely they had a bad batch or two get out. Best to warn people at least.

have you ruled out the possibility of a defective power circuit on your nexus 7 or something like that? You case seems to turn the screen off just fine but only fails to turn the screen back on. It it is a misplaced or weak magnet , I would think it should be the other way around.

I suppose that is possible. Never heard of such a thing before. I will have to check into it. I've a new case coming in a day or 2, that will tell me. If it still does it with that case, I may return it.
I received a Poetic Slimbook case yesterday, which resembles the Moko the most (compared to other Chinese brands), and the sleep/wake function works very poorly. I think the case magnet is too weak. Its smaller than the magnets in the flap, plus it is buried under the elastic interior strap (more material between the magnet and sensor in tablet). After practicing opening and closing the flap for several minutes the tablet responds better, but still only 60-70% of the time.
I received this one and the slim one today {shipped august 12} from China to Canada. 14.xx$ for both, I have to say they are pretty well built for 7$ each {or 0.99$ each + shipping}

Wood Magnetic Qi Wireless Charger

So, a few months ago I came across this DIY post by kidgenius, and my inner artist totally got inspired. Thanks, kidgenius! I have decided right then and there I want to design and make one myself. I am a 3D animator by trade, so design and modeling the charger in the computer is really simple for me. To actually make it, besides the basic on-the-fly-engineering that most handy person are capable of, I have basically no experience in engineering, machining of any sort. Greatest thing we have now I consider to be the internet. In a few basic search terms, I was presented with more reading material than I can digest in a short amount of time. So for the following 2 solid weeks, I was learning as much as I can about the whole range of topics in order to continue this project.
Now, five months later, after spending the amount of money would usually invoke the Hulk in most spouses on machines, tools, softwares and materials, I have finally something to show for.

Charging
Charging horizontally
Ok, shameless plug time. Hoping to recoup some of the cost of this project, and to provide a product hopefully some may also like, I've put two different designs of the chargers on my Etsy store. These chargers take about 2-6 hours of setup and machine time and about an hour of hand finishing here in Illinois, USA. If you have any comments, I'd love to hear what you guys think.
Dude that's awesome. I'd buy one but, my wife would kill me for spending that much on a charger. On another note, I grew up in AH, BG class of 98. Out in Glenview now.

This looks great. Is it just the wood design that is different between the 2 chargers?

Yeah, I started with the design with all the non-parallel edges, angles and concave surfaces, and it turn out to be really difficult to machine. So I have simplified to a design that's a bit easier to make but still keep the same general look and feel. They both function the same as a nexus 5 charger.
Oh man that is beautiful! May I ask, what QI charger did you use in this stand? Did you take the Nexus Wireless Charger and embedded it in wood or the coil+circuitboard from the other thread?
The QI standard accepts a 5 mm looseness between the phone and the base, how did you take this into account?
How are the two pieces attached (the base and the slope), i.e. does it last?
Man this charger is awesome!

Thank you for understanding. Each one actually take me 3-4 nights from start to finish, and each one is made to order. After the material cost, I make less than minimum wage per hour on these. I do them because they are the product of love. If I have to make hundreds of them, I will probably find help in mass produce them and adjust the price accordingly.

Taking an existing charger and putting it in the wood would make it too far from the phone and will not charge well. I follow kidgenius' thread and came to a very similar way with the magnets, coil, and circuit board. This is actually a lot of prototyping and test to get this distance correct. Without the magnets it will be a lot simpler.
Originally I designed to have dovetails like how you would usually to a wood joint. But in order to have a more seamless look to it, I've changed it into them to have multiple faces at different angle as the contact for force distribution at multiple axises. On top of that, There are holes drilled through the back top piece that line up with holes on the bottom piece. Then I bolt them together right after applying adhesive at those previously mentioned faces, so the bolt action act as a self clamp for the 2 parts. I'd say they are quite strong. I have a tendency to over engineer.

Is the charger tolerant of phone cases? That is, will the magnets still hold and is the charge rate acceptable?

I can't say it is. I did a lot of testing with different cases. In the end it's just no consistently enough to claim as such.

It's always good to over engineer a little bit
What about trickle charging, does the board support it? And how fast is it charging from empty to full? Most QI's does it in about 2,5 hours.

I am pretty sure all modern Li-Ion batteries in smart phone do not want trickle charge. If you mean by if when it's full, will it stop, the answer is yes. It work just like the ones from google. At least for N4 and N5, the charging is controlled by the phone itself and not the charger. As far as the speed of charging goes, that's a very good question that I have not fully tested on. I will have to try to see what the difference between using a wall charger and a usb port. An initial guess is that It will be about the same behavior like the google ones, which is slower on a usb port.
Would you be willing to build one with a small shelf/lip on the bottom to hold up devices that don't have the metal discs in? Specifically a Note 2? I would be happy to draw up where the wireless charger sits on the back of the device and mail it over.

Sounds pretty doable. I can probably design one to work with it if you can provide the correct measurements. Email me a drawing and I can check first if the coil location can work with note 2. Also, any preference what the ledge you want to look like, or it's up to me to design something look nice?

Correct, but keep in mind that the headphone jack on the Note 3 is on the opposite side so if the holder comes with that cutout, it will not lineup and you will have to modify the case.

I've been working out with my OPO since I got it about a month ago. Coming from a Galaxy S3 it's definitely taken some getting used to. Pulling it out of my pocket is still less than graceful when I wanna check email or change music. Just make sure your gym pants/shorts have deep enough pockets or anytime you're on the flat bench it'll be falling out of your pocket. Haven't tried running outside with it yet, don't think that's gonna happen. Probably stick to the treadmill cause I can put it in the cupholder and just use a different music player for running outside.

I use the arkon XXL which is designed for phones that are built similarly to the Note 3, and the One fits very nice in it. I used one from this brand for my GS3 and I loved it, although I find that it gets uncomfortable after a little while unless I put it above my tshirt.

Looking forward to your feedback on the armband
I f*cking detest generic armband cases. You all know what I'm talking about. The ones made of neoprene (or whatever) and have the terrible bubbly plastic that covers the screen and makes it impossible to use the touchscreen with ease.
Take matters into your own hands and make your own case. I did, and you'll be glad you did too. The case I made is comfortable, rock solid, form fitting and most importantly, the screen is 100% unobstructed.
How? I bought a Cruzerlite case (I would've gone with a Diztronic case if they had shipped sooner), a generic velcro armband and some button snap fasteners (these are rust resistant).
The whole process is drop dead simple and took less than 30 minutes to construct. A quick note: be absolutely certain that you attach the male fastener to the case and the female fastener to the armband.
Just lay the armband across the back of the case and mark an outline of the band. Next, position the fasteners where you need them and mark the holes (two should work, but I did four for stability). Next, take a small drill bit and carefully drill the holes through the tpu case. Once this is done, insert the fastener and hammer it (on a concrete surface) with the included tool. Once you have all four done, move on to the armband. All four fasteners are going to attach very close to the outer edge of the armband. Decide where you want the case to sit on the armband (I wanted it very close to where the band doubled back). Because the band is elastic, you can just simply push the fastener (use some muscle) through the fabric. Get the first one in, hammer it and move on. Base the remaining three snaps off of this one.
Once you're done with that, you're good to go. Snap the case onto the armband, slip your phone in and get your sweat on. The beauty of this case is it fits perfectly, it isn't as huge as a generic case, you have full unobstructed access to the touchscreen and best of all, you can remove the band and wash it once it starts to smell like the inside of a cast.
Also, if you're wondering about the inside of the fasteners rubbing on the back of the phone during use, I've been using this for several weeks now (about 5 days per week) and the back of the phone is still flawless. The fasteners on the case are relatively flush, plus the very nature of the tpu case allows for some flexibility (which is why I chose tpu).
This is the end product:

No, it's rock solid. It pops in and the lip around the edge of the tpu case keeps the phone from moving around. It's actually comforting because the phone takes a bit of work to pry out when you're done working out.
I use it for weight lifting and running and it's been amazing so far. Best workout bands I've ever had by far.

It doesn't scratch it because the 1) the underside of the fasteners are smooth and sit relatively flush, and 2) because the case is tpu, when you slide the phone in, the back of the case flexes quite a bit to accommodate the fasteners.
I've used this for about 30 different workouts and there's not a single mark or scratch on the back.

A few words on the kwmobile Sports jogging armband (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2N58YCCQNSUNR)
For me the armband is useless.. I don't run, I lift weights.. I use jefit to keep track of rest time and sets, the problem is that when the phone is in the armband, and the armband is on my arm.. the touch sensitivity is so bad that I cannot wake the phone with double tap..
I think that if I just wanted to use my phone for music while running, it would be just fine (and the product does sell as a jogging armband so I guess I only have myself to blame) but for my needs, it is useless. (mind you I have not used this for jogging so I am only guessing that it would work)
I hope this helps, if you have any questions don't hold back

So the touch sensitivity is bad, but the how does the phone fit in it? Is everything ok? And does it stick to your arm without a problem?
I ordered the same one and it shipped yesterday.
I will use it for running and biking, so the touch issue is not really a problem for me since i have music controls on my headset.

Other than the touch issues I think the thing works great.. the phone fits in it nicely and the band stays put when on my arm. I think you will be happy with it since you are using your headset for controls.

Wrist strap or lanyard for LG V20

The other day I while taking photos from a balcony I was struck with a fear of dropping my phone. I'm looking to attach a wrist strap or lanyard to my LG V20 with my Incipio NGP case.
I tried looping a Ringke Paracord Wrist Strap through the charging and speaker openings of the Incipio case but that doesn't work as it creates unusual distortion in the fit of the case.
So I'm not sure what to try next. I've located a Canadian company that makes a product called Petite Loop at phoneloops.com.
It is a simple nylon strip, with a wrist loop, which sticks to the back of the phone with a reattachable non residue leaving adhesive. The adhesive supposedly acts along with the phone case to secure the wrist loop. Has anyone tried the Petite Loop? Actually, I'm open to any suggestions.
Never tried a wrist loop for my phone but they might have something at a bigger camera shop.
So, a $700 device, you're going to have dangling from your wrist? Not as though it will bang around on something and possibly break.

You don't understand why someone would want a wrist strap. Nobody is going to keep it strapped to their wrist all day dangling. Don't you know how uncomfortable it would be?
With OEM's caring more about being able to call a phone "premium" than they care about making sure that "premium" phone stays in your hand rather than easily slipping out, a wrist strap would be a super useful accessory. You'd only slide your wrist through when you're actually holding and using your phone. You wouldn't keep it attached all day, which would just cause your phone to get in the way of everything.

So, yeah, I'd not want to accidentally drop a $700 device because the majority of people are obsessed with metal phones that are slippery than lube.
Moto is definitely my next purchase. Their phones have grip.

I just don't walk around with it in my hand like I see so many people doing. No, honestly, I didn't see the point of the lanyard. 99% of the people I see on the streets here in Manhattan are walking around with their devices IN their hands at ALL times. That's what I was picturing. People with their phones IN their hands 24/7. I don't get it. This was an exchange I had with a colleague recently:
HIM: (Showing me his newly replaced screen on his phone): I just had the screen replaced for the fourth time.
ME: (Showing him my phone with the original uncracked screen): I'm just careful.

Honestly, dude, if we could just get a grippy back, these problems wouldn't happen and a wrist strap wouldn't be on anyone's mind. ??
I don't get the point of using "premium" materials when it makes the phone so slippery that you're forced to cover it with cheap, rubbery plastic.

I use a flygrip. It really comes in handy for those of us with our phones in our hands all the time.
It's also nice for something like reaching out a car window to take a picture while riding in the car... (not while driving!)

Only negative is that they're pricy.
FYI, I've never broken a phone...

Why not buy one of these for $10.50?: http://www.hdaccessory.com/products...zhGdqBAoekmDuvuqPOR1BfEO1IQl7u6FTvBoCDa7w_wcB
Or one of these:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...se.TRS2&_nkw=lg+v20+finger+ring+case&_sacat=0
Look a lot less expensive.
I never felt that the V10 or (now) the V20 were slippery. I have had the V10, only dropped it once, and now the V20, not slippery at all. I have a case on it now, but never felt that either device was slippery, so I don't know what people mean when they say the devices are slippery.
Phone dangler?
Thanks for your interesting comments. I have a wrist lanyard on my Canon point and shoot camera. Luckily Canon has an eyelet built right in to attach the lanyard. No, you won't see me skipping down the street with my camera dangling from my wrist. But at those times I want to hold my camera, one handed, out a window or over my head in a jostling crowd at a music festival, for that extra piece of mind I slip my hand into the lanyard.
PS. I don't walk around with my phone perpetually attached to my hand. I'm a couple generations past that.

Most of the children I see carrying their phones are also the ones walking down the street staring at their facebook accounts. I love that in NYC in certain areas, on the street at the corner, they've painted the following: "Look up and watch where you're going, your facebook status can wait." Apparently, Darwin's law needs to be circumvented.

I live in NYC too. I know someone who allows them to walk in to him rather than jumping out of the way like I do. Then he gets a kick out of earnestly apologizing when they drop their phones.

Like a true nyer.
I really liked the tip of the petiti loop, until I was looking for a discount coupon from the site ... for me it's useful, because I'm too clumsy

I solved my problem without knowing, I received my case today and I had the grateful surprise of him to have the opening for classic wrist strap ... the brand is Ringke model Fusion, but now I looked at the website and all their shoes have the opening

I ended up getting a petite loop. I have to say it functions fabulously for my needs only as a safety net for when I'm shooting photos. Not for dangling on my wrist or spinning like a cowboy. It is light and unobtrusive when I'm not using yet feels totally secure when I pull on it.

That looks like one of those scout lanyards we made when I was 9. Not knocking it. I had that lanyard for years. Just, I made mine. Nice leather, cool tooling.
Kind of mean spirited

Dude, seriously? The thing reminded me of my lanyard from when I was a scout and my saying so is "mean spirited"? I meant it in a nice way. I loved that lanyard. Now, I want to go back to my parents' house and look for that thing.
