The other day I while taking photos from a balcony I was struck with a fear of dropping my phone. I'm looking to attach a wrist strap or lanyard to my LG V20 with my Incipio NGP case.
I tried looping a Ringke Paracord Wrist Strap through the charging and speaker openings of the Incipio case but that doesn't work as it creates unusual distortion in the fit of the case.
So I'm not sure what to try next. I've located a Canadian company that makes a product called Petite Loop at phoneloops.com.
It is a simple nylon strip, with a wrist loop, which sticks to the back of the phone with a reattachable non residue leaving adhesive. The adhesive supposedly acts along with the phone case to secure the wrist loop. Has anyone tried the Petite Loop? Actually, I'm open to any suggestions.
Never tried a wrist loop for my phone but they might have something at a bigger camera shop.
So, a $700 device, you're going to have dangling from your wrist? Not as though it will bang around on something and possibly break.

You don't understand why someone would want a wrist strap. Nobody is going to keep it strapped to their wrist all day dangling. Don't you know how uncomfortable it would be?
With OEM's caring more about being able to call a phone "premium" than they care about making sure that "premium" phone stays in your hand rather than easily slipping out, a wrist strap would be a super useful accessory. You'd only slide your wrist through when you're actually holding and using your phone. You wouldn't keep it attached all day, which would just cause your phone to get in the way of everything.

I just don't walk around with it in my hand like I see so many people doing. No, honestly, I didn't see the point of the lanyard. 99% of the people I see on the streets here in Manhattan are walking around with their devices IN their hands at ALL times. That's what I was picturing. People with their phones IN their hands 24/7. I don't get it. This was an exchange I had with a colleague recently:
HIM: (Showing me his newly replaced screen on his phone): I just had the screen replaced for the fourth time.
ME: (Showing him my phone with the original uncracked screen): I'm just careful.

I don't get the point of using "premium" materials when it makes the phone so slippery that you're forced to cover it with cheap, rubbery plastic.

I use a flygrip. It really comes in handy for those of us with our phones in our hands all the time.
It's also nice for something like reaching out a car window to take a picture while riding in the car... (not while driving!)

I never felt that the V10 or (now) the V20 were slippery. I have had the V10, only dropped it once, and now the V20, not slippery at all. I have a case on it now, but never felt that either device was slippery, so I don't know what people mean when they say the devices are slippery.
Phone dangler?
Thanks for your interesting comments. I have a wrist lanyard on my Canon point and shoot camera. Luckily Canon has an eyelet built right in to attach the lanyard. No, you won't see me skipping down the street with my camera dangling from my wrist. But at those times I want to hold my camera, one handed, out a window or over my head in a jostling crowd at a music festival, for that extra piece of mind I slip my hand into the lanyard.
PS. I don't walk around with my phone perpetually attached to my hand. I'm a couple generations past that.

Most of the children I see carrying their phones are also the ones walking down the street staring at their facebook accounts. I love that in NYC in certain areas, on the street at the corner, they've painted the following: "Look up and watch where you're going, your facebook status can wait." Apparently, Darwin's law needs to be circumvented.

I live in NYC too. I know someone who allows them to walk in to him rather than jumping out of the way like I do. Then he gets a kick out of earnestly apologizing when they drop their phones.

I solved my problem without knowing, I received my case today and I had the grateful surprise of him to have the opening for classic wrist strap ... the brand is Ringke model Fusion, but now I looked at the website and all their shoes have the opening

I ended up getting a petite loop. I have to say it functions fabulously for my needs only as a safety net for when I'm shooting photos. Not for dangling on my wrist or spinning like a cowboy. It is light and unobtrusive when I'm not using yet feels totally secure when I pull on it.

That looks like one of those scout lanyards we made when I was 9. Not knocking it. I had that lanyard for years. Just, I made mine. Nice leather, cool tooling.

Well... after what seemed an eternity my Zenus E'stime in Chocloate Brown Case finally arrived from Korea.
Item was ordered on Tuesday 24th May and arrived a fortnight later on the 7th June.
I have now found the time to review the case properly and as such please read below my personal comments on the E'stime Case.
For anyone who wants to get straight to the photo's simply click here.
There you will find no less than 23 photo's taken from various angles and differing examples both with and without the phone.
So... without further ado, let us commence the review....
Packaging [5 out of 5]
The packaging was nothing but excellent.
Extremely well packaged the boxed case had been placed in a waterproof plastic bag that had an enormous amount of internal bubble-wrap applied. You simply could nor tear open this plastic outer case and took several attempts with strong scissors to open.
After finally opening the wrapping I was then presented with a lovely box to next establish my skills at opening.
As you can see from the photo's the box itself is very well presented, clearly the advertisers had done a good job in the marketing of this product, which is always a clear sign that the manufacturers of the case believe in excellence.
Opening the box you then find inside the case and a screen protector.
Now I can not comment on the screen protector as I don't use such items on my screen so sorry, if anyone is expecting me to pass judgment you will have to ask separately.
Quality of the case (include does it mark easily, quality of leather, stitching, overall professional look and feel). [4.5 out of 5]
Just by looking at this case it oozes excellence.
It is soft leatherette style with a semi-hard outer skin (very pliable) and can be opened back on itself very easily.
This makes it easy to hold in the hand as often cases that open from the top simply end up hanging at the bottom and often get in the way.
I find once the case is open I simply bend it all the way back on itself and the result then being the phone appears and feels as if it is in a 'back case' and not a complete case.
The exterior part of the case is shiny and has a soft springy feel to it.
I expect if you apply something sharp it is going to mark this outer skin easily.
It is however very easily cleaned. I dropped a dollop of jam the other day onto this outer brown skin and am happy to report it wipes off nice and easy.
The quality of the materials used are very good and from an initial stance you would easily believe this to be from the finer leather stables.
Stitching is strong and accurate and overall the case has a very professional feel to it. It certainly does not look out of place inside my expensive tan interior vehicle nor on my mahogany desk at work.
General protection (include screen, corners and camera). [4 out of 5]
The phone slotted very easily into the case and once held inside it feels quite well protected.
There are a couple of areas where the case offers no to little protection noticeably at the top of the phone.
Here the only protection is a small bent piece of the case that grasps the phone in place.
Another area is the volume control strip. The phone is exposed not just by the volume controls but all the way to the top.
However, unless you drop the phone on this side where something is sticking up that makes a direct connection with this exposed part the phone is otherwise protected very well on this side.
The bottom is a different story, the case gives complete protection to the phone.
The back is covered well with only the camera and speaker not covered.
The cut-out for the camera is carried out well, fitting around the camera nicely.
When laid flat on it's back the camera is then resessed and as such does not make any contact with the surface the case is laying on.
The speaker grill is nicely added and will stop dust etc from entering into the phone.
I have tried the speaker operation whilst in the case and can not hear any differences in tones are audible quality.
What kind of bulk it adds in reality. [5 out of 5]
Surprisingly it adds very little bulk to the phone.
The case has lovely simple lines which enhance it's slimness.
It fit's in pockets easily and adds little extra in weight or body.
How practical it is to use. [5 out of 5]
Extremely usable. The phone can be placed in and taken out of the case very easily.
Once placed inside it the phone feels securely snug and tight.
How long this tightness stays will be the telling part as it may start to work loose over time... but that would be down to how many times you insert/remove the phone from the case.
Opening the case is done from the top by pulling/prizing open the top cover. It is held firmly in place but again does not take an excessive amount of force to open.
Once open, the front will hang down if left on it's own.
As I mentioned previously, the best way to hold the phone with the case open is to bend the front cover back on itself thus turning the phone basically into a bar as opposed to a case.
This actually adds further protection to the camera and does not interfere with the speaker grill.
Does it build up any heat. [5 out of 5]
Not in the slightest. I was quite surprised to find when the phone is either running hard or being charged there was no heat on the case and no additional heat on the phone.
I checked the temperature of the phones processor and it showed no difference.
Are the holes aligned correctly. [5 out of 5]
Simple answer.... Yes.
Apart from the Volume control where the gap covers more than the switches all other holes are fit exactly to purpose.
As mentioned previously, the speaker hole has a grill that is recessed and provides additional protection.
Does it interfere with the sound, camera, Power, Volume controls, Headphone socket and micro-usb connector. [4.5 out of 5]
Not in the slightest.
To charge the phone you do have to open the front cover, but apart from this all holes as said are aligned correctly and you have complete access to all controls.
Is it easy to remove from the case for phone maintenance. [4.5 out of 5]
Again as mentioned above ~ I have removed the phone several times (purely out of research) and am happy to report the process is simple.
I found the easiest way to remove the phone is to hold the phone in the left hand with the thumb on the base and the second finger at the top. With the right hand place your thumb on the bottom right holder and lift the phone with the left hand.
This allows the phone to be removed easily.
Can the flap be used to act as a stable prop in Landscape mode. [5 out of 5]
Most certainly.
Because the base of the front flap is very pliable it allows you to both bend and twist the front cover back on itself thus using the front cover as a stand for watching movies.
Does the Closure interfere with the operation of the phone. [5 out of 5]
Not at all.
First it in 'Non-Magnetic', so to all those who have concerns as to magnetic properties interrfering with the phone, there are no magnets on this case.
The closure is small and is both tight enough to hold the front cover in place but loose enough to come free with a small amount of pressure.
I personally feel it is the right balance ~ Strong enough to stay closed but loose enough not to end up with the phone flying through the air when you 'SNAP' it open and loose the phone in your hand.
Conclusion
It is a very well made case and will not look out of place anywhere you place it.
Strong enough to protect the but supple enough to allow you complete access and use of your phone.
Is it worthy of the high price-tag it sells by ~ Quite obviously a personnal opinion but I was happy to part with the $44.99 USD or £28.60 it cost at the time of purchase.
The seller I found to be most helpfull. Not only did he answer my messages in a timely manner but provided exact measurements to ensure this particular case would fit the European or thinner Galaxy SII.
Overall Verdict [4.75 out of 5]

It is pricey I agree but that is only against the crop of many cheap case. However, when you compare it with the likes of the Noreve cases and other luxury type cases it then becomes quite good.

What if I accidentally pull the plug and the phone drops on the floor and breaks? If I bought a case for my phone I'd buy it to protect the screen which it doesn't do when you're charging the phone. I'd give that feature 2 out of 5. Two points for not having to remove the phone from the case to charge it.

As I stated, they are aligned correctly.
The Volume keys are aligned, it's just that there is a larger gap on either side of the vol+ & vol- which I clearly explained and my photo's show.
My score of 5 out of 5 still stands.

What I am saying is when using the phone the case does not interfere in the slightest as after all when using the phone the front cover is open.
I understand what you say about the charging USB point being fully covered with no access hole and that is why I knocked 0.5 from my score. To me it did not represent actually using the phone, as such I did not think it needed the score to be lowered by a great amount.
Also, I have provided pictures that show the hole is covered when the front flap is up, that is more important than a score.
My score of 4.5 out of 5 still stands.

If so I still stand by my scores. Don't forget everyone will have an opinion of these cases. Obviously yours is different to mine but having actually used the case now for some time I am still more than happy with the review and scores I gave.....

Yes, you won't be disappointed with one of these cases. It's a great case and I do love the fact that front flap can be so easily pushed all the way back so you don't have to worry about 'the hanging front flap syndrome'.

Good review. I also have a zenus case (carbon). They are really good looking but you get tired of opening it everytime you take it out of your pocket. I switched to a regular silicone case.
I have just returned my carbon black one as it was so slippery in the hand if fact it was worse than holding the phone on it's own. You don't mention this problem so I assume it's not the case with the brown leather one. Whilst the clip was nice it was a faf to open and close and rubbed on the top of the phone albeit I doubt any damage would occur. I posted a quick review of the Official Samsung flip case which I got yesterday for £15 and find it much better to use but is a bit thicker. I agree that the Zenus case is far easier to get the phone in and out of though the Sammy one is tricky and not something you would want to do often.

Despite the review, i think the case is of poor quality and build !
I was expecting a much better quality product tbh.

This is the trouble with reviews... they are all subjective and as such open for debate.

The rubber "X" shaped thing keeps your phone from turning once you mount it either landscape or Portrait. Included are like 7 different sized metal buttons that attache to the phone ranging from small to large. I use the smallest one on my Galaxy II and it holds perfectly. Its about a quarter of an inch wide. There are larger ones if you want to mount a big GPS or something. Watch some YouTube reviews or see the perfect star rating on Amazon and you will be sold on this thing. I picked mine up at fry's electronics instead of ordering and shipping but its available through the Tetrax site or Amazon also..
Where as The FIXWAY comes with a small mount you stick to your dashboard and attach the FIXWAY unit to. I prefer this method to the vent method since I use my Vents often. PS I Had to remove mine from it's original spot to another (switched from iPhone 4s to Galaxy 2 and needed the the phone higher so it wouldn't block my NAV unit screen) and there was no residue or marks left. It comes with 2 mounts and more can be purchased.

It comes with an auto grade 3m adhesive. Although not impossible to remove, I had to use a little rubbing alcohol to do it. Its a very firm hold. I've had mine on my dash for four months and on my 4s since October. Only been on the GII a week or so. Still firm as all get out. Might not be for everyone but not having to push buttons to pull off or put my phone on sold me. Less adjustments I have to make the better. It just works.
Those things are pretty smart but it's a pain in the ass having to stick something to the back of your phone.
I guess it's not too bad if you stick it to the back of a cheap TPU case and only use it when mounting it in your car though. It's a small price to pay considering the TPU case is only like $10.

After watching the youtube videos it seems like it's pretty cool. I might actually sell my samsung infuse dock and get one of these instead. I like the feature of being able to just grab it off the holder instead of prying the phone out of a car dock.

Yeah that was my biggest reason for ditching my old dock. Simplistic mount and it stays put. No bouncing around while I'm driving. Plus it looks cool compared to most setups IMHO. Plus if you use more than 1 device its nice cause u don't have to adjust every time you swap.

what I REALLY like about this mount method is you can use "ANY" case you want with it. and unlike your phone you can probably dig a small crater in the case and more "flush mount" the magnet.
I would want to go with "TWO" magnets. this way you have 2 points of contact and therefore no need for the fugly X rubber beast on your dash.
I am liking this idea. I wish I could buy "JUST" that little "puck" in the middle sans the big ugly X. but $35 is a bit much to hack it up to extract that piece especially since I need 2.

No there isn't any issues with the magnets because the polarity is set in such a way to maximize hold and leave no magnetic field. On the site there is a puck only option, its only like $14.99. I like the look of the X personally but you never see it since its behind the phone anyways.

visually it comes off as something 6 or 7 inches tall.

The whole unit is 1.5" across from end to end. The middle part is about the size of a dime. I am attaching a picture..

I think I got about 6 different sized buttons with it; 2 small, 2 medium, 2 large. I use the smallest with my GSII and it holds great. Its smaller than a dime and thinner than one too.
FYI The magnets are absolutely no concern for your phone unless you manage to put a CRT or spinning disk hdd in it. Solid state electronics aren't effected by anything but the highest magnetic fields, think the level of magnetic field you could levitate a frog in.
This is so tempting to get but I need to find a way to mount it on my phone first.
i must be the only one who thinks it looks ugly and then it also uglies your phone with a shiny protruding button also. unless manufacturers implement the "button" inside the case or they make one that's strong enough to hide inside the cover instead of outside, i can see this take off.

I mentioned about this exogear knock off from ebay before, but after playing more with it - found a few other uses for it!!!
You can get it for $2.85 shipped from HK (http://www.ebay.com/itm/170901902477?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649), but don't make the price fool you because it's of a very decent quality. And if down the road it breaks, for a few bucks it's an easy replacement. While I was impressed with its clip functionality to hold Note 2 with a case, I noticed on a side of the clip base a screw which allows you to take off the whole car mounting portion of it. The clip by itself, with a rubber tip lining, works as a sturdy stand AND as a hand grip which could be enhanced even further by attaching a ring to a mounting hole after removing the base.
What's great about it, you don't need to glue/stick anything to your phone, you don't have to worry about it sliding of the mount, you can use it to hold a phone while in bed watching a movie, or as a stand on a table, or use it as a mount in the car with included suction cup base or any other standard bases since it uses universal ball joint. It fits any case from slim to Defender, and easily removable.

Regarding it's description, they use "iphone" as a keyword to get search hits lol!!! This clip fits everything up to and including Note 2.

Just as a warning guys. I ordered this mount last July and its a great looking piece of kit, and its form and function are great; but unfortunately its not all that durable or steady.
First, it wiggles. The arm there is a little thin and when you hit bumps and what not the phone wiggles. It can be slightly distracting when your following GPS to have the screen shake like that. I can understand how that may seem like nit picking but the real problem I had was it's durability.
The first thing that happened to mine was that the ball that the mount rotates on wore smooth and would not hold the phone's position no matter how tightly I screwed on the ring. So to remedy that I took it apart and roughed up the ball's surface with some sand paper. Problem fixed, no more slipping.
And that worked for awhile. And then finally one day I was adjusting it, and I hadn't loosened the ring enough and I snapped the arm right off.
Admittedly it was a bit of user error but the arm really did twist off quite easily. I didn't really put all that much muscle into it, it just seemed to be fatigued with use.
So yea, looks great, works great....just handle with care, its a little delicate.

Yes, vibrations are expected for this type of a design. I just had 4hr round trip with this holder in Highlander and w/ZL battery and tpu, and it worked really good. As far as built quality, it's $2+ gadget You can get a real Exogear Exomount 2 for $30 (which is a base for this knockoff). But overall it's a very useful toy on my list. I use it all the time when I watch movies on my N2 in bed. Saved me dozen of times from getting a black eye lol!

For sure! Just to note my mount was the Exogear branded version of this, ie. the Exomount Gen 1. So I paid about 20 bucks.
That being said if you can get these for like 4 bucks shipped, yea no question...great value for the money.

I purchased this type of mount from a different seller a few months ago and had the same experience. My note now rests on my dash(mounted low on the windshield) because the ball joint is worn out. I will try your sandpaper trick and see if that fixes the problem. Thanks for the advice

ebay has it for a buck or less. I'm sure you can get it at walmart/target/bestbuy since these are typical Garmin style dash sticky disks.
Btw, I have been using this in a car on a windshield and its solid!!! I'm talking about $2.85 ebay version Been using my wife's Highlander for a few long trips, so don't want anything permanent mounted in there. This one goes on the glass and holds my Note 2 with Zerolemon 9k3 battery without a problem, and extra weight is not an issue either. Yes, you get vibration and some shaking - that's expected, but its a solid phone mount on a windshield. The one I have at home, just a clip - it's my go to piece when I'm watching tv/movies in bed. Had it for a very long time - no complaints. As a matter of fact, I find this cheap knock off spring to be stronger than original Exogear one.

Ok the first of the new cases I ordered is here, and I thought I would give some sort of a review on it since I know good information about Nexus 2013 cases is at a premium right now. I am by no means a tech review professional so forgive me any mistakes or whatever, just giving my opinion so far. I will try to be as exhaustive as I can because I feel that too much information can't hurt anyone.
Here is the case.
The Good: Well made, fits tablet perfectly, looks nice, feels nice in hand.
The Bad: The stand on this device is horrible. If you decide you want a case that offers a well placed, functional stand for Netflix or reading, this is NOT the case for you. EDIT: Just realized that Smart Cover function is not very smart. See video below, but if you like this function this case may be a bad investment.
The Verdict = 3 Stars: As long as you don't require a stand that's particularly stable, easy to use or adjustable in any way, or like the smart-cover functionality, this device is nearly perfect in all other areas.
First Impression:
As I more or less expected, it came in a simple plastic bag with no name on it. With these early Chinese cases, this is normal I have found. Also noticed right away that the stamped in logo on the front reads "MOCO" not "MOKO". Actually it could just be a bad attempt at an English "K" but it certainly reads as "C". Not an issue for me, just something you notice right away. The case smells fine. Weird thing to say but this has been a problem with cheap Chinese cases in the past, where they smell like the toxic waste likely produced when making them. This one has very little smell at all, and not at all unpleasant.
Upon Further Review: As I began to look at the case, I will say that I was a little more impressed than I thought I would be. I ordered this case SOLELY because it was shipping soonest, and I had another case in mind for my daily driver. It won't be released till the 23rd. Installation of the device into the case was a breeze. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Velcro fastener in here. I had hoped for one but you couldn't tell on the pictures, so it was a nice find. Once I Velcro'd the case in there, I found the fit extremely satisfactory. The cutouts and openings are all flawlessly placed for maximum accessibility with max protection as a secondary goal. Exactly what you'd expect from a Slim case. The only possible gripe for some of you is that the headphone cutout is VERY close to the jack and if you have a fat headphone connector on your cans, they may not fit or may cause sideways pressure on the jack itself. It isn't a problem with either my Apple Earbuds or my Sennhieser cans, but I could see it as a potential issue for some, perhaps users of full-sized cans. The camera, for you douche bags who want take photos with your tablet, works fine while in the case. The girl i was with last night was kind enough to be my test subject an there was no sign of a blockage or other line-of-sight issue.

The feel of the case itself is that of plain ole Faux Leather. This Folio is VERY smooth, with literally no texture at all. Makes it fairly slippery compared to my old Blurex, but I don't see it as being "too" slippery to the point where you might drop it. I suppose if this can be an issue for you or your kids, another case might better suit you. The case forms a nice overlap of about half an inch all the way around the tablet, so the occasional short drop will very likely be survivable. A spill is another matter, however. As with all slim cases, it offers little in the way of protection from errant liquids.
The strap on the back and the, uh, totally NOT superfluous credit card holder, both work fine but in a barely useful sort of way. Honestly I'd say they serve no purpose at all except at the very least they do offer some minuscule amount of shock absorbency if you should drop the thing face down.
Finally I looked at the stand. I immediately wished I hadn't. Boy does this thing stink. It's very difficult to get the device into a standing position(impossible in portrait since this one is landscape only). Once there, it is not very stable. The bottom of the case, the part it rests upon while standing, has a bend in it(where the spine of the case is). This makes it extremely prone to tip over backwards. Especially while sitting it up to begin with. This process is neither user friendly or intuitive. Even after doing it several times and having a full understanding of it, it just never feels smooth. It feels awkward and rather annoying to prop it up every time. Below is a photo of the device froma side view so you can see what I mean.
After my last case, a BLUREX Magyc folio Case With Multi-Angle Stand I suppose I just expect a certain amount of ease when it comes to this, for it to require no thought and little effort to prop up my device. When I am working I am constantly closing my tablet then opening it again to read. Many, many times per day. Therefor this is a deal-breaker to me. For those of you who care less about the feature, or use it far less often, you may not mind it at all.
EDIT: NEW INFORMATION ABOUT THIS CASE. The smart-cover function barely works. I didn't notice this before because I hadn't really spent any time with the case. But now that I have, it rarely works to unlock my tablet. I don't know if the magnet is too weak, small or placed wrong. Being that this is a cheap Chinese case it may simply be that my particular case is made poorly, and others will not have this problem. Below is a video to show what I mean. I will be adjusting the device to 3 stars because of this.

Exactly why I posted it. It's a fine case other than the stand issue. But for me that's the most important feature of a case. Good luck in your search and if Blurex posts a new Magyc case for our device, JUMP ON IT. They released a new case today, I got email about it. Just not the type I want. It's likely better than the one above, since it does not have a stand which bends under and back, but instead works almost like the one I am used to.
I think the stand is perfect.....not sure wtf you really talking bout there..

To each his own I suppose. Glad you are happy with the feature. I am not. Perhaps my unit is made wrong, or we just have different ideas about what constitutes a good stand. As long as you are happy, I'm happy for ya.

Well from your pictures you dont even have it tucked in all the way... But its completely stable and at a perfect cubicle desk viewing angle....
For 99 cents...what I paid, this may be the best case I have ever seen. Then again, I may just have lower expectations for 99 cents.

I am not considering the price in this review. The point of it is to help people determine if this case is a suitable daily driver for them. If you start adjusting value vs price point etc, this whole thing gets messy fast. I am only looking at the end result, which is the case you get. I'll leave it to others to decide if a case is worth more to them because it costs less, etc. I did in fact have it all the way tucked in when doing this review. Maybe not in the picture, but that fact has not made it any less annoying to prop it up compared to a case like my previous one. So i stand by my opinion, which is after all just my opinion and not a statement of fact. Others can read my review, and yours if you chose to make one, and decide for themselves

Yup but certainly worth mentioning. I doubt the screw up was on just *ONE* case. Likely they had a bad batch or two get out. Best to warn people at least.

I suppose that is possible. Never heard of such a thing before. I will have to check into it. I've a new case coming in a day or 2, that will tell me. If it still does it with that case, I may return it.
I received a Poetic Slimbook case yesterday, which resembles the Moko the most (compared to other Chinese brands), and the sleep/wake function works very poorly. I think the case magnet is too weak. Its smaller than the magnets in the flap, plus it is buried under the elastic interior strap (more material between the magnet and sensor in tablet). After practicing opening and closing the flap for several minutes the tablet responds better, but still only 60-70% of the time.
I received this one and the slim one today {shipped august 12} from China to Canada. 14.xx$ for both, I have to say they are pretty well built for 7$ each {or 0.99$ each + shipping}
Anyone know of one that will fit the oneplus for working out?

Correct, but keep in mind that the headphone jack on the Note 3 is on the opposite side so if the holder comes with that cutout, it will not lineup and you will have to modify the case.

I've been working out with my OPO since I got it about a month ago. Coming from a Galaxy S3 it's definitely taken some getting used to. Pulling it out of my pocket is still less than graceful when I wanna check email or change music. Just make sure your gym pants/shorts have deep enough pockets or anytime you're on the flat bench it'll be falling out of your pocket. Haven't tried running outside with it yet, don't think that's gonna happen. Probably stick to the treadmill cause I can put it in the cupholder and just use a different music player for running outside.

I ordered the kwmobile jogging armband for the OnePlus one the other day from amazon.
It was under $10 shipped.
I'll let you know how it is when I receive it. It's the first armband I've ever used for a phone.

I use the arkon XXL which is designed for phones that are built similarly to the Note 3, and the One fits very nice in it. I used one from this brand for my GS3 and I loved it, although I find that it gets uncomfortable after a little while unless I put it above my tshirt.

I f*cking detest generic armband cases. You all know what I'm talking about. The ones made of neoprene (or whatever) and have the terrible bubbly plastic that covers the screen and makes it impossible to use the touchscreen with ease.
Take matters into your own hands and make your own case. I did, and you'll be glad you did too. The case I made is comfortable, rock solid, form fitting and most importantly, the screen is 100% unobstructed.
How? I bought a Cruzerlite case (I would've gone with a Diztronic case if they had shipped sooner), a generic velcro armband and some button snap fasteners (these are rust resistant).
The whole process is drop dead simple and took less than 30 minutes to construct. A quick note: be absolutely certain that you attach the male fastener to the case and the female fastener to the armband.
Just lay the armband across the back of the case and mark an outline of the band. Next, position the fasteners where you need them and mark the holes (two should work, but I did four for stability). Next, take a small drill bit and carefully drill the holes through the tpu case. Once this is done, insert the fastener and hammer it (on a concrete surface) with the included tool. Once you have all four done, move on to the armband. All four fasteners are going to attach very close to the outer edge of the armband. Decide where you want the case to sit on the armband (I wanted it very close to where the band doubled back). Because the band is elastic, you can just simply push the fastener (use some muscle) through the fabric. Get the first one in, hammer it and move on. Base the remaining three snaps off of this one.
Once you're done with that, you're good to go. Snap the case onto the armband, slip your phone in and get your sweat on. The beauty of this case is it fits perfectly, it isn't as huge as a generic case, you have full unobstructed access to the touchscreen and best of all, you can remove the band and wash it once it starts to smell like the inside of a cast.
Also, if you're wondering about the inside of the fasteners rubbing on the back of the phone during use, I've been using this for several weeks now (about 5 days per week) and the back of the phone is still flawless. The fasteners on the case are relatively flush, plus the very nature of the tpu case allows for some flexibility (which is why I chose tpu).

Good idea on the self-made armband! I would be worried that the TPU case would give and drop the phone on the concrete!

No, it's rock solid. It pops in and the lip around the edge of the tpu case keeps the phone from moving around. It's actually comforting because the phone takes a bit of work to pry out when you're done working out.
I use it for weight lifting and running and it's been amazing so far. Best workout bands I've ever had by far.

It doesn't scratch it because the 1) the underside of the fasteners are smooth and sit relatively flush, and 2) because the case is tpu, when you slide the phone in, the back of the case flexes quite a bit to accommodate the fasteners.
I've used this for about 30 different workouts and there's not a single mark or scratch on the back.

For me the armband is useless.. I don't run, I lift weights.. I use jefit to keep track of rest time and sets, the problem is that when the phone is in the armband, and the armband is on my arm.. the touch sensitivity is so bad that I cannot wake the phone with double tap..
I think that if I just wanted to use my phone for music while running, it would be just fine (and the product does sell as a jogging armband so I guess I only have myself to blame) but for my needs, it is useless. (mind you I have not used this for jogging so I am only guessing that it would work)

So the touch sensitivity is bad, but the how does the phone fit in it? Is everything ok? And does it stick to your arm without a problem?
I ordered the same one and it shipped yesterday.
I will use it for running and biking, so the touch issue is not really a problem for me since i have music controls on my headset.

Other than the touch issues I think the thing works great.. the phone fits in it nicely and the band stays put when on my arm. I think you will be happy with it since you are using your headset for controls.
