Lg g2 ls980zvd - Sprint LG G2

Hey guys, i would love some help concerning my sprint lg g2 ls980zvd. I bought it from ebay and i am trying to root it so i can unlock it for gsm use. I am out of the USA btw. When i got all the necessary files to root i went to the process up until the use of command prompt. I press continue it loads and then nothing happens i allowed the fingerprint thing on my phone i enabled usb debugging, i did everything up intil that part. I used iroot btw, is there any other method to root this phone?

towelroot

I use Stumproot.

Have to use bruteforce, but takes like 1-2 minutes.

[Q] New to the Inc2 & Android: Unlocking & Updating Questions

I recently bought a Incredible 2 for use overseas and wanted to confirm some things/had some questions:
1: According to the seller the phone has never been used/activated (Verizon seems to confirm this). As I do not want to activate it on Verizon, can I just buy an unlock code to unlock the SIM, bypass the activation screen and use the code? So far, googling doesn't seem to be telling me otherwise, but I wanted to check.
2: I was looking around on the threads on how to update without being on Verizon's network and just wanted to make sure I would be able to do so as well with an unactivated phone. (The activation screen isn't going to pop up and interfere with the process or anything?)
2b: It looks like there's two methods of updating with the official updates: through a PC if it's an exe or through the phone itself it it's a zip. Would I need anything else installed on the PC if I go with that method or is it just a matter of connect the phone (does it need to be in mass storage mode?) and run the exe? And which one would be easier for someone who has never done this before?
Thanks!

[q] verizon lg g3 root

Is it possible to root a verzion lg g3 vs98511c running 4.4.2? Ive tried purpledrake-lite but my phone will not let me change the usb mode to internet/ethernet. The option is not even avaliable. Thank you in advance
You need to flash back to 10b. Not hard at all. Hit the Verizon g3 forms here. It's all there.

How to use Big core disabling method on LG G4 H810 AT&T version???

By any chance does anyone knows how to use this method with LG G4 H810 AT&T version??? I've tried even the Hex editor with no success
Looking for the same answer pls.
I've tried changing the hex file but it says that is not compatible
This is what I did with my LG G4 H810 because bootloop:
1. I used the hair dryer for 5 minutes directly to my phone, so it can turn on.
2. I rooted with this method (if it doesn't boot after root, you have to use the hair dryer again)
3. I installed Kernel Toolkit and there's an option called "Manually enable or disable CPU cores", then disable.
After this, the phone works but it can't be rebooted because will get into bootloop again.
Which cores have to be disabled to get the phone "working" again?
Thanks
my lg g4 is in boot loop scene,. what can be done??

LG SPRINT Unlock.

okay, so this is a story.
I got this sprint LG g5 on ebay yesterday, me being me I tried to root the phone (failed) and I tried to flash the recovery using ADB (also failed because ADB wont start and lg g5 wont boot into fastboot mode). I manually logged into the fast boot mode by power button+down key. Then i factory reset the phone and every trace of sprint was gone, now this phone isnt unlocked so its still locked into sprint (i called sprint and they said they couldnt unlock it because every phone has a password needed to unlock the phone????????) so when i booted there was absolutely no way i could enter the unlock code needed to unlock it, now whenever i put a sim card in it says INVALID SIM and doesnt work. I really hope there is a fix for this and being able to root the phone since i have not been able to.
Someone from Raddit said lockded Sprint LG G5 could use Google Fi SIM card with both T-Mobile or Sprint.

Not rootable unless your software is version ZV4 or older. Not sim unlockable using hidden menu apk unless your phone is pre ZVB. Also tethering is locked in ZVC or later as you can't change sprint apn on zvc or later. These points have been discussed in mult threads here... Unfortunately nothing has changed. I think most of the experts also have gave up on the g5....;(

Unlocked sprint lg g8 on new network that doesn't have its own firmware

Ok before I start I just want to say I'm a complete noob at android and how it works (got my first android a month ago) so don't get too angry if I say something stupid :/
So I bought an unlocked sprint g8 off of ebay but switched to another carrier called mint (uses t-mobile network) so I'm not sure how the software updates work. I'm aware I won't be getting updates from sprint, but I know that I have gotten 1 or 2 updates from lg since I got it. I'm a little confused as to if the updates from lg are all I need or if they are just security patches, and if there is a way to install sprint updates anyway.
I know I can solve this by unlocking the bootloader and installing custom roms once they start coming out, and on sprint I can enable oem unlock, but there is no way to access fast boot. If I do adb reboot-bootloader (or whatever the command is) it just does a normal restart. If I'm not wrong I should be able to do the bootloader unlock after lg adds the g8 to their supported devices, but I don't know how I'll be able to do this without accessing the fastboot. Recovery mode seems to be incomplete too (I can't use adb in recovery I think the drivers are not installed yet), so I think part of the sprint firmware is still kind of in a beta. So if the not being able to access fastboot and an incomplete recovery mode is a problem with the sprint firmware, will the lg updates themselves be able to solve this? Or is there anything else I'm completely missing?
Sorry if that was a little confusing but any answers would be great!
You will still get software updates. I have a sprint lg g8 unlocked on cricket and yesturday i just recieved the August 1 security software update.
I don't have an answer to your question, but does your Sprint model get VoLTE on Mint/T Mobile? Thinking about buying one.

There is almost a 0% chance LG will let US variants be unlocked. And with the impl lock we cant even crossflash the G8, so yea you are stuck with the sprint rom.
Your phone will update. Received August Security patch yesterday. Use ADB to remove Sprint bloat.
Any way to get WiFi calling to work on mint mobile using an unlocked Sprint G8?
I just received Android 10 update on LG G8. I'm on Total Wireless. The biggest thing is RCS is working now. It's a great update btw.

Just do reset to default with ##3282# and it will adjust to your current sim. Often mms needs that
