Im not really familiar with androids and I have a galaxy tab 3 7.0 . Are there any good kernels that I can download on it to use stweaks?
Thanks to developers and links
I may answer that question and take advantage from you post (since I can't reply on the development forum) by thanking @ketut.kumajaya and @gr8nole for their work on the blackhawk kernel*and TWRP recovery that allowed me to turn my tab 3 from a buggy piece of hardware to a properly working tablet.

Even if "thanks" is all I can give (for now) I really want to let them know.
If you guys ever read this please don't think ill of a bunch of people I downloaded your files almost 10 times before getting it right.
Let me start by saying I am newish to the game and caught a bad case of flashing all the time. I enjoy testing new roms and learning new stuff as I go along. I have no problems flashing all roms on my note 3 but I have found my match. Has anyone found a workaround to get the x-note rom running on there sm-n900t? I've read all posts about it, editing updater script, removed setup wizard and still no dice. heres link to rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2472301. Please anyone help me because this is one of those cases where you wont give up till you succeed at running the rom on your phone, Thanks in advance.

Good day Khotaghora, please note the following instructions worked for me after many hours of banging my head off brick walls and flashing different roms including going back to the latest stock from sammobile.
Make sure you remove the current gear manager.
Download and copy the following gear manager http://twosx.net/xdadev/Gear/1.7.031004/com.samsung.android.app.watchmanager_1.7.031004.apk to your device. Note, I have not supplied this, from what I can gather it was ripped off the s5 sources, thanks go to Omniwolf for supplying the apk's on XDA.
Ensure in your phones settings under security you have unknown sources ticked.
Install the apk, usually just click on the downloaded file from your favorite browser.
Make sure you have Bluetooth turned on.
I'm not sure if you need to, but at this point I paired the Gear2 with my phone, it will pair as a handsfree device oh the irony.
When you run the manager it will look completely different from the old image asking you to sync, I could see the device at the top of the screen, clicking on it fired up both the watch and the manager.
Good luck with your new device, here is hoping dev's start porting some apps to the Gear2, the store is looking a bit bare at the moment.
Hi trickyburn. Thanks a lot for explaining this into detail. I can confirm that I have managed to get the Gear 2 Neo working with my S4 following your instructions. I actual posted your URL on another forum and some more people have benefited from your post. I wish Samsung had released the latest version of Gear Manager before the release of Gear 2.
Cheers,
KhotaGhora
Check your versions before applying any old s5 based fix, the version 2 gear manager is based on 4.4.2 API's so wont work. the above mentioned 1.7.031004 does work on 4.3 however
4.4.2 based roms might be able to use the updates from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2677686
However note I have not tested these as i'm on 4.3 stock at the moment

[q] [official howto] complete guide to root & unlock bootloader for verizon note 4
Gents,
As the title says: This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. The thing is that after looking and searching throughout this XDA section, here's what I've found:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-verizon/general/noob-how-unroot-phone-t3418431
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-verizon/general/guide-noobs-guide-to-perm-root-twrp-t3360883
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-verizon/general/note-4-verizon-bootloader-unlock-t3358913
http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...t/howto-bootloader-unlock-upgrade-to-t3398144
I would normally have no problem diving in head first into any of these threads. The issue is that even as I begin to read them, in each of these threads there's a handful of individuals claiming something like: 'Oh, you left this step out' or 'You forgot to include' this, or 'This only applies to this, but not that' and so forth.
I'm not really knew to the world of modding, rooting, theming, unlocking and so forth...but it does scare me a bit when there's so much information that seems to contradict other information or at the very least appears to be incomplete.
If possible, can someone with a solid understanding of the Verizon Note 4 and all things Permanent Root/BootLoader Unlock/Custom Recovery/Custom ROM installation please shed some light and provide some guidance for me on this thread?
I'm sure it would benefit many.
Just trying to get this Note 4 permanently rooted, with a kick-ass recovery...a snappy kernal and an awesome custom rom for my daily driver...all without bricking the poor guy.
Not sure how much it matters, however Just FYI here is some specifics on my particular Verizon Note 4:
Model Number: SM-N910V
Android Version: 5.0.1
Hardware Version: N910V.06
Please advise if possible.
Thank you,
BJ
You got here late............................
You need a History lesson. but I don't have time to give it to you. This thing has evolved. All the threads you mentioned have contributed to the testing and understanding.
Some of the OP in some of the threads have changed and no longer list the ROM's that first came out for Newly rooted Verizon Note 4. ( I wish they would bring back the custom 5.1.1 ROM's but they have moved on to Marshmallow )
I can tell you this. The first time you permanently root your phone, it should be on stock 5.1.1.
I created a thread mostly for my own use here http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...bilized-process-to-unlock-bootloader-t3375527
My thread can get you to a rooted stock Note 4 on stock 5.1.1 but my thread was not created for a newbie. You need a basic understanding of what you are doing.

You said it all right there!
I have tried several Marshmallow ROMs and I always come back to 5.11. In my opinion it is just a better operating system!
All of my apps are able to write to the SD card with no issues and that is important to me.

Is it possible to get permanent root on the Verizon Note 4 coming from Stock 6.0.1 ? If not, is there a downgrade procedure, coupled with a perm root guide?
Thx.
BJ.
Team,
So after some more searching...it looks like this may be what I'm looking for:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-verizon/general/guide-step-step-stock-n910v-6-0-1-to-t3426905
So, here's the last question (I know, I know)...but BESIDES CM13...are there any other recommended ROMS for Verizon Note 4 on Marshmallow?
Thx.
BJ
Hello XDA community! I would like miui 8 on the Samsung galaxy s4 mini plus (I9195I) please. If you do build it please make a thread about it and link me to the thread here. Thank you!
Just for the record: There is a MIUI 8 Patchrom repo for I9195I by @Danil_e71: https://github.com/Danile71/MIUI8_patchrom_samsung_serranovexx
As you asked me if I could help towards building MIUI 8: I don't have a big personal interest in MIUI at the moment and I don't know how far @Danil_e71 got porting it to our device. That's why I don't think I will find time to work on it in the near future, sorry! Hopefully he will find time to work on it again.
Anyway, I would recommend to add some details to the title of the thread (like "Rom Request: MIUI 8 for I9195I").

It'd be a great thing if you did have an interest in miui and built miui 8 for our device, I believe it'd be most popular I'll also try change the thread title when I get on PC at some point. Of course I do respect the fact you don't take an interest in MIUI but would still be cool to see on this device.
