Has anyone else had trouble submitting their IMEI and MAC for the rebate? I just picked up the phone from the Sprint store today, so I'll try again tomorrow. Are there any tricks to getting the info to submit?
Edit: So I've been trying off an on since this morning with the same results. I also tried chatting with Samsung and the rep said to just keep trying back, and that the info I was putting in was good. So maybe it's just an issue with the website. I will update again if something changes.

I'm having the same problem. I clicked on the support link and sent them a message. They just responded that I need to take it to a retailer or carrier. Not sure that will do any good since it's Samsung's web page that is the problem not accepting the numbers.

I've had the same issue, and they only have one option for a file download when they ask for two.. I sent and email to them and I decided to just mail it in since no one has any answers..
Im having the same problem. I decided to mail in but now online rebate form is change and i can't find the old rebate form for preorder. What should i do now?

I had trouble submitting it online. I ended up mailing out the documentation today. I printed out the email of my trade in receipt from the sprint store, and printed out an email showing my pre-order back on Sept 26th. I did what they were looking for: circled trade in info, circled pre-order info, printed and signed my name as well as the date. I also wrote down my imei number and mac address. I almost went as far as doing a certified return mail, but we'll see how it goes.

I think you might need to drop the last 0 in the MEID. I could be wrong but this is the way I got it work.

Hey I had that problem when I upgraded one of my lines to the SIII. It said "attention" but I also got an email confirming it was a problem with my credit card. Sometimes their system wont process certain debit cards right so I had to change the card and everything was good after that. I used the same new card to pre-order my note II and havent had any issues yet.

I called Premier support today and they said they had to review my order, that's why it's in Attention status. Has anyone else heard of this??

I just got off the phone with premier, and they also told me they had to "Review my order" no further info and the Note 2 was now backordered ????? Now I play the waiting game.

They also switched my order to "Attention" today. I had the same experience with customer service. They said that my order was being reviewed, but did not say anything about the phone being back ordered. The website still says that the phones are expected to ship on the 6th. Where's the ambivalent smiley...

I had exactly the same experience. Thank you for posting. I was getting myself wound up that my rebate was going to be rejected. Now I'm more confident it's just an error with the rebate site.

You get the value of the phone at the store you preordered from.
That info you take to the Samsung site with you and you get 200 minus what you got from store trade in value. In 6 to 8 weeks that is...

didn't accept mine either. I am going to mail in. I preordered the phone on sprints website but I traded in at my local sprint store. I hope the preorder confrimation email i got from sprint will count as my preorder receipt. not quite sure what they want.

so now that we have established that the meid/wifi mac issue happened to more than just one of us.......what paperwork should i sign,date,print name, circle price on if i preordered on the sprint website? Am i to assume the email confirmation from my order w/ the price needs to be printed and mailed in? all i know is my local sprint store only gave me $79 for my Note II so i had better get this samsung rebate. otherwise i would have just sold my phone on ebay.
Any update on the IMEI error. Did samsung fix it yet? i prefer to submit the rebate online because it is faster to receive the rebate than the mail in.

I spent three hours yesterday trying to upload different ways. Sprint wouldnt help and samsung cust service said they couldn't either. After numerous phone calls.

Yes I would, they are Christmas gifts for (myself and) my family.
Two years ago, I bought GS3s for myself plus 3 others. Last year, I bought them all GS4s, with the requirement that they give me back the S3s (which I sold). So basically as a Christmas gift, I essentially perform an upgrade for them lol.
I already have a G3, though I didn't sell my S4 this time. I kept it and I use it as an around-the-house phone thanks to the new Hangouts.
And thanks for the info on this deal. I decided to pick up only one for now, as I'm thinking something might come about on Black Friday or closer to Christmas...

Imagine if your phone got stolen. And imagine that a week later, you tracked it down and found it in the possession of someone who'd bought it from the thief. Would you say that the phone no longer belonged to you, that the person who has it now is the new rightful owner? Or would you think that person should return it to you?

What if this phone I bought on Craigslist was actually yours, stolen from you a few days earlier? Would you say it now belongs to me and not you, just because I paid the thief $500 on Craigslist?
To answer your question: what I'd do is return your phone to you and try to press charges against the person who stole it from you. I would not try to crack the FRP and keep your phone for myself.
Gary let me explain something to you if somebody steals my phone okay and they post it online nine times out of 10 I'm never going to be able to recover that phone. When I have some lady who comes into my shop who just purchased a phone that was stolen on Craigslist I can't find out who that phone belongs too neither and the carrier is not going to share that information with you and you can't go online and find out from the IMEI number who that phone belongs to I've had plenty of customers that have taken pictures of the phone that they purchased that was stolen and posted it on Craigslist and said hey is this your phone and nobody calls them back so when people do their due diligence and they try everything to return the phone and now they're stuck with something that they paid a lot of money for absolutely I will help them like hundreds of other shops do so do me a favor right now stop your whining stop trying to make points that don't make any sense and quit trolling our thread goodbye

The carrier has to protect the owner's privacy so yes, they won't reveal the owner's contact information to you.
However, given the IMEI number, you may be able to get the carrier to relay a message to the owner so the owner can arrange to retrieve their stolen phone.
You can also report the stolen phone to the police, who can then help recover the money that was paid to the thief for the phone.
From what I was told by a tech some people are selling phones that work and they get 3rd party ins and after a month or however they report them stolen and get another phone plus some cash considering phones now are upwards of $700+. I am a victim of this I bought a note5 from original owner but when he posted it for sale he also posted screenshot of the imei on facebook. No problems month in phone reported stolen I took phone to at&t and told me the issue. Never asked for the phone nothing they could care less. Who should I give the phone to the man that bought it that has receipt for it that I gave $450 too? There are cases when honest people get screwed and need help. I also understand some will use this to do what this man is clearly not advocating.

I see what you're saying I misread it my sister dog got ran over last night and took it to vet emergency surgery and couldn't sleep. It's a harsh world we live in and in that type of situation someone loses out and can only hope they have ins. I know att wouldn't tell me nothing about who reported it stolen and didn't even want the phone. I was literally thinking police were about to show up when they said it was stolen.

I bought a phone on Craigslist from a guy 150 miles away. I tried this method and it seemed to work (Odin reported success) but after the reboot it kept rebooting after the AT&T logo. I finally went back into recovery mode, wiped the cache and factory reset, and it booted up again. However, it still required a previous account to continue. Before the factory reset I tried just wiping the cache but that didn't help.
Did I miss something? Should I try again. The seller says I can do a hangout with him to get his credentials (and let him watch me wipe it again). But I'd rather just get this done for good. At least I think it's for good.
Go to recovery and select the option to use ADB. You won't actually be loading anything but if you let it just sit, it will wipe everything after a few minutes of not receiving any files via adb. I know this will wipe, but not sure it will to the level you need regarding Google accounts. Worth a try maybe.

Looks like the promo isn't live yet but if I remember right, we needed to have the IMEI number to get the V20 headphone promo.
My rep, Denise, was great. she knew all info, had me order online, instead of on phone, saving me a service fee. She also informed me of how to order the Daydream promo via website.
As I am currently phoneless, and stuck in the dark ages (how did I survive the '70s and '80s) I too hope it ships ASAP

After fighting with the live reps who didn't even know what the phone was and couldn't find it in the system, I finally gave up and placed my pre-order online. I got a window of today through the 9th for shipping. Really hoping it does go out today so I can test the cameras over the weekend.

Yes, I'm on T-Mobile so just to make sure I got a version that supports the new bands, I decided to go that route. (That and I like the EIP option.)
Pre-Ordered Mine online today with TMO... The Pixel XL was tempting but I like the IP68, DAC, dual camera, and SD card slot. Hope to enjoy this phone for the 2 years and hope for a quick Oreo update to it.
I like that Google Lens from the event yesterday. I am wondering how/if that could be used on the V30. I'm not really into rooting it as I have Citrix Secure Mail on it for work...
Coming from the Moto X Pure 2015 which still does NOT have 7.0 on it and the battery is starting to lag on it as well. Time for an update for sure. My cheap Asus ZenPad has 7.0 on it for months.. Really disappointed with Moto on the updates, I know there must have been issues with 7.0 and the build for the Moto X... Oh well not my problem anymore!!
Glad to be back on XDA and will monitor the forums for cases and screen protectors...

As long as there isn't anything weird where Lens requires something in Oreo, we will likely see Lens in 2-3 months. (Probably after the new year, if I were a betting man.)

No. Let us know if it has ADB flash commands with an unlocked bootloader. For the LG G6, T-Mobile/LG let the bootloader be "unlocked", but removed all the ADB flash commands. So, as of this date there's still no root, no TWRP, etc. for the T-Mobile LG G6.

The unlocked bootloader does no good. The phone is still basically locked down.
I would bet they will do the same with the T-Mobile LG V30. Hope I'm wrong.
Woo hoo! Mine too! Unfortunately, my case won't be here until Saturday. I'm going to be freaking out until then. I've already watched a few videos of how well GG5 fares in drop tests. Won't get to run it through any tests until Saturday though.

Ordered mine first thing this morning... now says shipped via overnight delivery at Tmo. UPS has the label entered with tracking number. I assume I will see it tomorrow.
I called T-Mobile and customer rep gave me free overnight. Always call in. They also give free sim card instead of charging $25 if you need it.
My status just changed to SHIPPED!!!! Not sure if UPS will pick it up tonight though. Just label created and tracking number. I'm sure I'll get it by Monday.:fingers-crossed:
I called at 8am sharp and rep was not able to find the phone. I was on the call for 15 mins. Language barrier I knew right away was going to be a problem. I finally got pissed and hung up on her and called back. It was 8:30 by this time. Got a rep that got the order in. However, I have 10/5-10/9 with a status of processing. I have overnight shipping though. I'm pissed I won't have it for the weekend.

Yup, I also tried calling in right when orders opened and ended up wasting almost an entire half hour with someone who had no idea what I was talking about before hanging up and just ordering from the website. The front line reps these days are worthless on the phone and on social media.

I should have done online. I have been seeing where people are getting their phones today. I was wondering why I didn't get any tracking info. WELP....The jackoff didn't give me overnight, so it's comes on Tuesday. I called in to find out what she charged me for if it's not coming. The rep tells me the device isn't releasing until the 13th and when it ships on Monday, I'll have it Tues, which isn't the 13th. he also told me no one is getting them today. I told him he was totally clueless what his own company is doing and he's a supervisor. Ugh!
I guess it just depends on the rep you get on the phone. The one I spoke with knew all about upcoming phones, we talked about the Pixel launch while waiting for his computer to process. I checked status and I'll have my phone today!!! On schedule for delivery. I was not expecting it until next week. Weird how the local store rep told me they had them in the store but he could not sell one to me. That makes no sense. Call in they ship it but can't buy one in the store even though they have them in the back.

Totally the roll of the dice I have found after about 5 calls to them over the last month. 2 out of 5 times I got a smart and informed one. I suggest if you feel you are not getting anywhere with one of them, dont let them learn on the job with you. Hang up and call in again.

Ouch! That's just about the same experience I had last year with the V20 and T-Mobile. Rep that helped me didn't even offer overnight and some people were claiming that they were just upgraded to it. So I assumed I had been too. Then the forums started lighting up with people who had ordered getting shipping notices. At first, they were all times before my order time but then as the day progressed, it rolled well past me by hours. Calling in, I got the same run around as you did. Their processes for orders/upgrades suck! Supposedly once you order, you're locked into whatever choices you made. Which is asinine this day and age. I sent an email in that somehow ended up at the Executive Response division. Guess what I said wasn't really taken to heart though because I complained about pretty much every complaint I've seen surrounding this launch too.
