NA ROM on Korean Phone? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Im thinking of picking up a F400 version phone to use in Canada. As far as I know LTE with our major networks will work and Ill do a test before buying.
However does anyone know if North American ROMs can be flashed onto the phone?

If you have the T-Mobile USA TP2 it's a GSM phone, and if you want to flash a custom rom it should be chosen from the GSM ones.
As for which ROM is best for use in Europe, it doesn't matter.
Edit: I assumed you're talking about an OS-ROM...but if you're talking about a radio-ROM then maybe some work better than others in different locations.
But, as far as I know, the TMo USA rom won't be able to access 3G signal in Europe because its radio hardware uses different frequency/bands for 3G than is used in Europe. It will work with regular GSM bands, though.

As i saw here, few people were using 3G in Europe (Turkey and Germany) without any problems.

A T-MoUSA-branded TP2 in Europe and using a 3G data connection? If that's true, I'd be glad. I'd like the option of high-speed data on my TMoUSA phone while over there...

[Q] Is it possible to use the tmobile us variant in the UK?

Hey guys,
A friend of mine bought a g3 d851 from eBay over here in the UK. While it works fine with ee UK's 3g network it doesn't support the 800 1800 or 2600mhz 4g. So I'm wanting to know is it at all possible to make it do this? I was hoping it would be as simple as flashing a different radio but after lots of searching I still haven't found an answer to my question
Thanks.

Why don't you just do a backup and flashed the rom and radios and test it out yourself. If it doesn't work just restore backup
I was a little unsure where to start. I thought I could try flashing a radio from the international version but didn't know if I could possibly do damage by doing this

help with the lg g3 d855

Hello
I just bought a new lg g3 d855 unlocked international version im staying for some time in the US and i was wondering if my phone could work with at&t or T-Mobile? I dont care if i dont get LTE i just need it for the basics: calling, messaging and casual internet browsing on the go? And what is the best choice
Thanks
It's an unlocked international version so yes... It's unlocked to work in all countries
E.G I got the Unlocked D855 European one and I'm in Australia and it works fine, I get LTE as well
So could i use the phone here and then use it in my country ?

What are the US and CN differences?

I have got the US version but as we all know the software sucks and my device actually has an pixel error so I will need to send it back anyway (efox).
What if I request a CN replacement device? What are the differences? I read that you can only choose between english and chinese language but that wouldn't be a problem.
Would I be happy with the software too?
For one, the frequency bands are different. The US version was made to work with North American networks. So depending on where you live, the Chinese version might not work with your country's carriers.
I'm referring specifically to the 4G Lte bands. If you bought the Chinese version to use in North America, you'd likely only get 3G coverage. And with many carriers soon to be going exclusively 4G, your phone will soon be useless.

Thanks for your helpful reply but 4G only? Never heard of that. Sounds scary.
Does anyone actually try to put MM 16s to our US version? I know that LP cause hard brick but what will happen with official 16s rom?
Is there any differences with bootloader or something else on hardware bases?
I can't try this because my le one pro is my main phone.

Indian 5T in Canada

soon im gonna move to canada and was wondering if my indian 5t would work with the carriers found there? or will i have to buy a new phone there
Op5T has only one model for all regions (A5010), which supports almost all LTE bands out there. So yes, you can use normally
(unless you travel to the US and use Verizon or Sprint)
