How does the quick circle case know when its closed? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
Can someone tell me how the quick circle cover works? I have it on my phone and really have no idea. How does the phone know the case is closed or open? How does it know its not a hand or something else?

In the case are little *magnets* and also in your phone .
If you look really close to the case you can see them (hard)

I thought it was something like it but for the love of it couldnt reproduce the effect with anything other than the case. Thanks!

So Im in the process of my attempt to not be a fatass. And im looking for a solution for some sort of armband that would fit the epic touch. Ive looked at a few things on amazon. Would be nice if my search found that thread, for some reason it didnt. thanks.
No problem, I just remembered seeing it recently.
Also I've noticed that using search through the app will always leave out results when I try using it.

For those that don't want to have to go to another thread:
Armband for E4GT that you can use a case with as well.
I was about to order this one myself.
Complete On The Go Smart Kit
I don't know about those arm band things .
I would think they get in your way of lifting .and blood flow .

I fully support this armbelt: http://www.amazon.com/Armband-Otter...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1330538858&sr=1-1
It will fit your E4GT with the TPU case on and it doesn't wiggle. If you WANT it to wiggle, get the bigger model AB85.

but on that arm belt do you have to take out the phone everytime you want to change the song on the phone ?
Nope, you can control the phone directly inside the case. Touchscreen works fine too (I have a screen protector on as well).

Is there a slim "flip case" that can be also used long-term "flipped"?

Is there a slim "flip case" that can be also used long-term "flipped"? In other words a case where the front cover also has the cuts corresponding to the camera and everything else on the back - so that you can flip the cover on the back and use it like that for most of the day?

Me too - I even find the standard Samsung flip-cover almost usable and if there was an alternative that could be used a little more with the cover opened (for instance during desk hours, and only to close the cover when I place the phone in the pocket or similar) I would really like to give it a try!
ive never taken the time to take a close look on the samsung flip case, but is the flap removable?
if you're planning on leaving the flap flipped for a long time while able to use the camera, wouldnt that just be any case with no flap?

Anyone try/see this case?

I was looking for a flip case to go along with my UAG case and I came across this, kind've like the smart flip case released for the S4 by samsung.
Anyone have any reviews or anything for it?

Thinking about it that's actually blinkfeed shown there.....
Can you guys tell me how the hell does it work? I have a friend with the S4 using this case and once the screen is covered with the case and somone calls him u'll see the swipe to answer up there at the "window"! But if you uncover the screen it will show normally!
Is it a firmware thing samsung planned?
Has anyone's case arrived yet. Really digging that design but if blinkfeed has to be on to see it I'll pass.
There can only be one, the chosen ONE.
Won't work.
1. S4 has magnets (like iPad) which recognize the case. The one does not have em
2. Samsung has amoled which, as some here know, can turn on some pixels while the rest are off.
LCD however, can only have all of them turned on or off, so not only a few on while the rest are off, which means it'll drain the hell out of your battery if you keep it on.

well if you'll push the power button you will see through the window?
yes, but you'll only see the status bar, not like on the pic. On the lockscreen the clock is at the bottom..
Also, when receiving a call the answer/receive buttons won't be relocated like on the S4.

If you use pattern lock screen, you can see the clock like on pictures. Otherwise, thom109 said, when you get the call, answer button won't relocated. You have to open the cover.
Mine has arrived half an hour ago. I got the blue one and love it! Looks really good. It adds little bulk though but I keep dropping my phone in those days and I think I am gonna stick with this case

I am going to try to take pictures if I can find my other camera tonight
Also, led notification lights and front camera covered by the case. You can't see, use them when cover is closed.

Okay. Besides that, Are you satisfied with the case so far?
Yeah we'll be waiting for some pics

Yes, I really like it so far. You can use as a stand as you know. It looks, feels really protective also. Nice texture. I love the blue color.
Also, I have contacted to seller on Ebay about grey color. He said, he will contact to factory and once it is available, he will let me know. I believe grey matches better with our phone.

how to emulate a circle case?

Tonight I placed my g3 on top of my nexus 7, and it made it look like it was in a circle case..i.e. the clock appeared. My nexus 7 has a magnetic case.
I've been unable to get it to do it again, I wondered if it was possible to simulate a circle case placing a magnet somewhere? Anyone got a case and can tell me if it contains a magnet and where that is?
I believe it's somewhere on the rear
