[Q] LG apps not updating - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm on 10I (which is "i") rooted and I experienced a problem with LG Update Center. Currently I have an update to LG keyboard and 6 apps that I deleted. So the problem is - I can't download any of these apps. I tried unfreezing almost all apps that, I thought, can cause problems, but still, updating stuck at "running stripes". When I exit update center and open it again all apps showing "update" button with no activity at all

[Q] Just Rooted My Phone Now "Running Services" Keeps Crashing

Hi, I just rooted and downloaded titanium pro used it to get rid of bloatware, but after I did and rebooted my G2, my running services system app no longer works. It keeps force closing on me. Any thoughts?
Nevermind I'm an idiot after rebooting twice, everything is working again. Sorry

[Q] Lost functionality (apps + keys) after twrp factory reset, 4.4 p600 wifi rooted

In trying to fix a connectivity issue with my school wifi, I did a factory reset in TWRP (after making a backup). Upon completing the reset and restore, many functions have stopped working. Most apparent:
-Home key now only functions as lock (screen off/on) switch, and no longer returns to home screen (I'm using Nova Launcher), long press does not bring up recent apps (and using xposed to reassign menu button to recent apps makes that button do nothing as well.)
-Settings button in notification panel does nothing
-paid apps not downloading from play store (none work any longer)
-general difficulty accessing/implementing account data from google apps
I still have root, and those apps are all working fine, but paid features such as Nova Launcher Prime aren't working. When I checked the play store, I got a an error "-24" if I tried to reinstall that app. Based on online recommendations, I uninstalled Play Store updates and cleared the cache, rebooted, and now play store won't even load my apps list and closes due to an unexpected error. Does anybody have any ideas? Could reflashing the firmware help? I feel like there are probably other problems waiting for me to discover.
Thank you so much in advance
Okay, so I tried reflashing the NI1 firmware via odin, which at least fixed my ability to run Play Store, but didn't fix any of my initial problems.
Okay, I got it. The problems were all related to a corrupted Nova install, which was hard to find due to a similarly corrupted Super SU. I have no clue how the settings /notification panel bug came about. I will probably find new problems with other apps, but I am okay now.

LG G3 MarshMallow Update Center and system apps question.

Ok i have upgraded my phone to rooted Marchmallow. I wanted to transfer the lg apps to system so noone can delete them (qmemo etc..), and i encountered this. With right permittions on everything, some apps dont work after. (The app itself is not installed, and the update center wants to download it.) What is the problem here? Also can anyone tell me which lg apps your Update Center app identifies? Because i think it does not find every lg app.

Nova Google Companion causes boot loop after install-- los 13 Nexus 10

On LineageOS 13, the latest official build of LineageOS for the Nexus 10, when I iinstall the Nova Google Companion for Nova Launcher, Google Play Services, Nova Launcher, and a number of other apps crash. When returning to the home screen, it freezes, then sends the app into a boot loop where after the LineageOS logo appears in it's entirety, my device tries to start LineageOS, but then crashes again and so the boot loop process continues. I have already reported this issue to the Nova Launcher Beta Google+ community and mentioned that Nova Google Companion ran fine on the stock 5.1.1 ROM. I've already tried reflashing LineageOS and GApps. Suggestions as to what I should do without flashing a different ROM?
Update: So as it turns out, ANY UI modifications (Launchers, TeslaUnread, Nova Google Companion/Action Launcher Google Plugin) will send the device into a bootloop. I suspect that the issue is with themes provider or GApps, since Google Play, Play Services, and Themes Provider are the first to crash.
I have a similar issue but I am unsure what program causes it.
The tablet was newly installed and installing my list of apps, one being Nova.
EDIT, information provided by op:
The August 5th nightly accepts Nova Launcher, but not TeslaUnread, Nova Google Companion, or Action Launcher
Hello, I have similar issue with my Nexus 10 on lineageos 13. I've reset from factory, reinstall all my apps except Nova and it works fine.
When I decide to reinstall Nova, my nexus immediatly boot in loop...
It arrive sudunly probably after an uptade of Nova...
Olivier.
Similar issue on Galaxy S3 running Cyanogenmod 13 (20161220 Snapshot).
Installing Nova Launcher causes the device to freeze and go into bootloop where it reboots after "optimising apps".
I've also tried installing Google Now launcher but " Home" option doesn't show up and there is no way to switch from Trebuchet to it.
Similar issue on S2 Plus CM13 after an update
Tested 2 weeks without Nova and nothing happened
Decided to give a shot again then bootloop happened again, luckily I had backup this time
I'm facing the same problem right now with my Redmi 4A. How did you solve it? Doing a factory reset?
I am currently facing a similar issue, but the culprit here for me is the facebook app, as soon as I install it from play store, it sends my samsung gt-i9082 (running cm13) into an instant bootloop, I tried deleting the facebook app's data from the twrp recovery's file manager.
but even then it kept on rebooting.
I had tested this even after a complete format of my device, including internal storage and external storage. even removing external storage, still as soon as the app was installed it went bootloop.
It's strange for me, cause it's the same rom and the same device, that was running the same app version before i format it to clean everything.
I would have doubt a data clash between my older files, but that was ruled out after a complete format. I have no clue why this is happening.
Edit: The only difference between my previous and the new installation is that I used deltagapps before and I am using opengapps now.
I will try with deltagapps again to see if it is sorted.
Edit 2: Well it did stopped the bootloop with the facebook app, but then again it started giving me the same issue with all the other random app I try to install(All those apps that previously were working on the same rom, same device).
Now the only suspect remains is the emmc of the device, maybe that is failing or got bad sector. strange that I haven't seen any issue on the device forum about this. Bad Luck, It reaches it's end.

PlayStore is unable to Update Chrome after MiUi12 updated in my Redmi note 8 pro.

Hello I'm umesh soni, from India
As i mentioned, my playstore is unable to update Chrome browser and its Plug-in (or whatever you call it) WebView, since I updated my phone to latest Android version 10.
I tried to clear Data and force stop, play Store, re-start my phone, clear cache... Every possible thing....
Also I tried to uninstall the chrome, but since chrome is my pre-installed primary browser so I cannot completely uninstall it, so when i tapped Uninstall button, basically it just uninstall the update and back to older version...
Even After doing this, the update button stays unresponsive, i tried to update via opening playstore.com from browser, and tried to update Chrome, and it also not worked.
So finally after everything i decided to download Apk file from other sources, (Apkmirror.com)
But this is not the solution..
Please tell me why only chrome & WebView is not updating, and rest of the app are working completely fine, and update when ever i want.
Please help me...
Thank you.

Hi,
I have a Xiaomi Poco F3 and a Redmi Note 8 pro that are facing the same issue, I have investigated a bit more by doing an adb logcat on only the Poco F3, and I have found that the following error gets triggered when I try to update Chrome.
Code:
4-10 00:34:14.008 17140 17170 E Finsky : [993] tvh.apply(44): IQ::GROUP_INSTALL: Error validating group. Rejecting requests: [com.google.android.trichromelibrary, com.android.chrome]
04-10 00:34:14.008 17140 17170 E Finsky : com.google.android.finsky.installqueue.impl.preprocessor.GroupInstallValidator$InvalidGroupException: GROUP_INSTALL: Group com.google.android.trichromelibrary and com.google.android.trichromelibrary have overlapping module [com.google.android.trichromelibrary, com.android.chrome]
long backtrace from java
TLDR: Cannot install chrome update because group trichromelibrary and trichromelibrary are in conflict.
Yeah makes senses since this library exists already...thus it conflicts with itself.
I don't know why this check is only made under MIUI 12, and not LOS (Lineage OS roms for instance) because I could update chrome on LOS with no issue like this, this doesn't look like a Google Play Store issue but more a MIUI 12 issue.
