CID unlock for TMobile DASH - possible?

Is it possible to do cid unlock or at least install the special bootloader without paying imei check? I just want to try different ROM now that the TMobile shipping ROM is available.

you probably wnat to flash ur device with another ROM, right ? then simply try doing so, if u suceed then ur device is CID unlocked.
but, if you are using t-mob device there is no chane .

No I'm using non brandet htc device whith original htc rom, I bought it from HTC dealer in our country, so probebly the device will be umlocked?

it is sim-unlocked but is probably still CID locked not to allow you ROM flashing.

So the only one way how to find out if its cid locked is to try some other rom's and if it gives an error message it's cid locked?

[Q] Where can I find details about firmware and serial number codes ?

This is my first HTC device, can someone help me find a place that explains serial number and firmware codes ?
For example Sammobile has detailed tables on how to decode the serial number and firmware code of Samsung phones (what each character stands for etc.), is there a similar site for HTC ?
So far I managed to find how to read the serial number from this post. Can someone help with the firmware region code ?
e.g: I have 1.29.401.11, I believe 401 stands for Europe ?

That all that makes the FW build different - the rest are build related. e.g.
1.29.401.11 - EU
1.29.161.13 - Vodafone UK
They are both the same 1.29 build, with Vodafone slightly newer due to the 6 week wait for them to approve it

Hi, recently i bought used HTC ONE X from India. i doubt that the phone is not Indian purchased. Can any1 tell how will i come to now if its purchased from INDIA or not.
The box of the phone also seems to be different, if any1 from INDIA can u please upload pic of your ONE X box

Check your CID. There are number of threads here explaining how to do it. CID will describe where your phone is coming from.

But not a big issue for me becoz i got that phone for 24,000INR 20days used and it has bill so now i think the BILL might be fake.

No problem dude , the odds are in your favour the jellybean update is released in Taiwan just check for an update in your phone or use any jellybean custom rom .

Hi,
got another m9 today ... and i just noticed that it got a x.xx.206.xx firmware on it
I am in germany and expected 401
Can i use the 401 roms with it or should i replace it ??

Here is a nice explanation how to interpret firmware version numbers.
x.xx.206.xx is O2 if I'm not mistaken.

Thi didn't worked for me Sayas IMEI and Verify Code are not compatible but it's exactly as my phone says those thing like IMEI, S/N or Ver. Code. What's going on??? My model is RIO-L01(SIngle Sim).
