This headset is fully compatible with G3.
Moreover, this is the cheapest way to get the cable with remote/mic to modify with current headphones.
I have modified 4 headsets/headphones, including Bose Freestyle, to be fully compatible with G3 (and other LG models running 4.4) and Sony models.

Though i am using Nokia BH 503 and it works fine for me. 2 Hours of music time or 8-10 hours of talk time, Good enough from a stereo headset.
I have been using my Nokia BH-905 for a few months, and it is really perfect
But it's a bit expensive (had it for 200€, don't know how much it would be for you ^^')

Sony Ericsson MW600 is quite good. I've been using it for a month without any problems. Volume control is touch based rather than buttons and that's a bit difficult to get used to, but it works. Next/previous song buttons and mic works without any problems too.

I would have to agree with you on this one. They are VERY expensive but well worth the price. If you like decent full audio, these are the way to go!
Best,
Sebkinne
The Nokia BH-905 has, I think, the same audio quality, and its battery life is quite better

I know these are iPhone headphones, but is there any way to get the volume controls to work? I've been looking all over forums, etc. Most people just say to take them back. I got these free in a promotional deal and I'd like to use them since they don't sound too bad for what I listen to while at work. I listen to a lot of dubstep/hip-hop while I'm working and these don't seem that bad for that, and it sure beats carrying around my 17" Macbook pro + uDac 2 + ATH-M50s or Beyerdynamic DT-990s.
Thanks in advance.

i have ibeats from htc rezound, all the buttons work

Download an app called something similar to Jay's Headset Controls, it assigns more commands to the pause/play button.
Really confusing as the ones you buy don't support HTC but the ones that come free do work.
I do muss having a forward and back button but currently using the S4A and they work great (although not with the default HTC music player)
you would think Beats would actually have a proper headset out that works with android ;s
I thought there were two versions, iBeats and urBeats. I seem to remember one working with HTC Android devices. I'll have to look now.

Anyone with experience with the Nokia BH 505 with this phone?
does it play music when you click the button? any disconnects?
does it accept calls when you press the call button?
I am on franco kernel, and lately people have been complaining about bluetooth disconnects when phone is in deep sleep.
Any advice?

I've got a BH-503 and it works flawlessly... Including all those buttons.. Chaos kernel 10.2 on Droidkang, probably a bit old so I might not have the bugs you speak of...

I tested both the BH-505 and BH-503, both work perfectly
Thanks guys for replying.
I just want to add that I have finally bought the headset, and it works. Totally recommend it.. ??
Going to buy it for Nexus 5
I wanna buy Nokia BH-505 for my Nexus 5. Have upgraded it to lollipop. Any issues or recommendations? Should I go for it?
Can you also suggest me websites in India to get a genuine product? The amazon seller has a second hand product and flipkart is charging a very high price.
Does anyone know if the G3 will work with three button headsets? As much as I loved my Moto X, the lack of three button functionality killed it for me. I really want to get a G3, but if it won't support 3 buttons, that's a deal breaker for me.
I know stock and stock-ish android doesn't support it, while the skinned versions like touchwiz generally do (all my galaxy and HTC phones did) so I am hoping LG's does.

Forget those designed for iPhone (volume buttons won't work), but there's a chance Samsung stereo headset with volume buttons will fully work according to past experience with LG phones (OT, L9).

I know the iphone headphones won't work. But the made for android 3-button headsets worked with my GS3, GS4, HTC One X, as well as my windows phones.
None of the android 3button headsets worked with my Nexus or Moto X. I have never had an LG phone so I was just wondering.

The QuadBeats 2 that comes with the phone have three buttons on them. and i'm assuming that they should work perfectly with the phone. i'll test them out tonight and report back.

Apatronix earbuds work, all three buttons I just tried them out. They were about 16 bucks on Amazon. Sound quality won't change your life give it is solid for a $16 pair of buds.
There's an xposed module which allows you to assign those 3 buttons to different actions, I used it for iphone-designed headphones with HTC One and it worked. http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-physical-button-music-control-1-8-t2620777

Actually, you can pay few bucks to get Samsung HS130 and test out.
I bought few of them and did modification with different headphones/headsets including Bose FreeStyle.

Nope, no lightning ports here. Bluetooth or USB-C
I would not recommend any AAC only headphones to Android. Only Apple music can use AAC codec. Also there is no value for money at all. For same or less money you have much better headphones with Aptx codec and can enjoy much better sound quality (eg via Tidal HiFi)

Android O supports AAC
Do you mean Airpods? Because they work very well.
Especially with AirBattery on the Play Store

From what I've read you can't do it on Android but if you connect them to an iOS device you can change the settings and they will work on android as well.
I bought a pair of Airpods specifically for my Pixel 2xl and have had zero problems with them. I do have an iPad that I used to set up gestures and I use AssistantTrigger to add a gesture for launching Assistant, which works quite well. You may be able to set the gesture commands from that app now, even without an iPhone/iPad. From all the reviews and real world useage I saw, they were just the best quality and bang for my buck. I use them every day and like I mentioned before, have had no problems with them.
Edit: after looking at the AssistantTrigger app, I was wrong, I don't think you can set up the commands from the app.
