I'd like to edit or create a sliding panel in Ookba's latest EVO ROM release for IE. I have an idea of how to do it (or at least try) but would appreciate it if someone could post the action URL needed for IE and the icon/picture number. With those I think I can get into trouble on my own. I did a semi-serious search but didn't turn up anything that helped me out. Thanks in advance.

The funny thing is that in the time it took you to type up your admonishment I'd be willling to bet at least one of you (if not both) could have provided me with the info I'm looking for. Maybe a "Please keep all related threads together and by the way.." response. Just and idea. Everyone, including you, was a noob once.
Please allow posters to close their own threads and delete double posts. It's ridiculous not to have this feature!!!
What is so harmful about us closing our own threads?
I think it is beneficial, for example:
1) OP feels harassed: closes thread
2) OP learns that there was already another, more prominent thread of the same issue: closes thread
3) OP wants too closes his upcoming software update but doesn't want to read other's post issues that he has fixed on the next version.
etc...
Why can't we close our own threads? Delete our own posts?

After reading Mike´s post it is clear that the best and easyest way is to click on the red button asking an experienced Mod to do the action, otherwise it can be a democratic chaos...

I agree, Just because you posted a thread, doesn't mean it's your thread. This is a community with no personal ownership of posts or threads.

Once again I reinforce Mike's statement. The Mods are here to assist you, please make use of our services.

Just basically report to mods is the summation here.
Got a question about deleting a post:
Once a post is deleted, then all posts after it in the same thread will be changed a post#. E.g, if post#2 is deleted, then post#3 became #2, #4 become #3 etc. But if the original post#3 is cross-linked to another thread using the 'view single post' function. In such a case, will the cross-link url address be updated accordingly?
The link will be to the deleted post, no re-shuffle will occur.
The URL is showpost.php and p=4153097 ("p" is the post number, not the thread number, that will be "t").

As a moderator, I can see deleted posts. Try that URL above

Edit: Ok, seems I got it, you said no re-shuffle. That means if #3 deleted, , #5 is still #5, so there is no influance on crosslink address of posts. Thanks.
I'm not mad that the thread is missing and assumed deleted, I would just like to know why. I assume it was in the wrong section in the forum but if that was the case, considering the useful nature of the information I had provided, I don't understand why it wasnt simply moved to an acceptable location. If it is still around in some form or another, I would appreciate it if the contents could be sent to my pm box so that I can repost in the appropriate location rather than retype it, thanks

The moderator who deleted your thread did so as the content seemed more like an advertisment than a description of a problem. I recommend that you cleanup the post such that reads like a problem/question and less like an advertisement for that company.
For example; remove the cost & recommendation to purchase, word the thread along the lines of:
"I'm using BLAHBLAH from BLAHBLAH and have noticed the following problem(s) ..."
"I tried the following things to solve the problem but ..."
"Would appreciate it if someone else could try ..."
"A trial version of BLAHBLAH can be downloaded from URL ..."

Just like title mentions:
A "I have this too." button.
So what would this button do? you might ask.
It's similar to the "Thanks" button, but people will use it to tell the thread that they have the same situation as the poster in question.
It could be someone who reports a bug with a particular ROM.
Instead of creating a +1 post, people can hit the "I have this too." button to tell the community that the poster isn't alone with that particular problem/situation.
Just like the "Thanks" button, the "I have this too."-clicker will be listed under the post in question.
That would clean up some of the clutter and hopefully less +1 posts.
And it would be:
Easier for users who doesn't need to create a new post to report the same thing.
Easier for moderators, who doesn't need go throught piles of +1 posts to see if they're relevant ot not.
Easier for developers, who can see if that case affects more than one without the need to go throught the whole thread searching for particular +1 posts.

First of all, let me say that I did not make the decision to create a thread lightly. I have been a member of this forum for over a year, and this is my first post. I have looked everywhere, but cannot find this simple answer.
How do I thank a member for his/her excellent work? Specifically, I have been trying to thank twa_priv for his excellent Kindle Fire JB build, which I have been using fr the last week or so. I cannot find a thank button. I do not have permission to post in the thread; (which I do not have any intention of doing, anyway, unless I have a specific question or error to report) but, does that mean I do not have permission to thank? Do I need to spam away 9 more posts to have the right to thank someone? I read that there should be a picture of a flower (or, at least, there would be on Tapatalk, which I am not using), but don't see anything of the sort using Chrome on Ubuntu.

That's exactly the information I was looking for. The link was helpful, too. You may have noticed that I gave a disclaimer to my post. I have been using this forum for thirteen months without ever having posted anything. I felt like a total jerk for even having had to create a thread for something so trivial. I usually search and easily find the answer to any question, but was not finding anything about this. I am certainly trying not to be obnoxious to anyone. Thanks again!

Trying to be a good new user I searched for how to give thanks and found this thread instead of spaming other threads with "Thanks for posting" Appreciate the clarification on why I couldn't see the thanks button.

I actually joined this site just to thank someone who posted an updated app, but wasn't sure how until I saw this.
Feels like a lot of hoops, but hopefully it's worth it.

Just in addition:
On Tapatalk and XDA app, just long-press the post you want to thank for, then scroll a little bit to the right in the appearing actions menu and select "Thanks" (may be in your system's language).

This is my obligatory first post to enable the thanks button. Figured this was the best thread to do it.
