Hi i recently rooted and unlocked the bootloader on my htc one x and i flashed cyanogenmod 11 onto it. Once i flashed it, the phone entered a bootloop and i tried to flash the factory firmware onto it but when i use fastboot devices in android sdk the phone does not show up on the list and says "Waiting for device". Im trying to but my pc doesnt detect the phone so i cant flash anything through sdk

If your phone is in bootloader when you do fastboot devices, then the fault is likely with your windows drivers. Find the unknown or non working device in device manager and update driver to the Google drivers.

Custom ROM's are written from the recovery partition, but the recovery has no acces to the boot partition. If you're comming from an older version of android, which is likely when you're trying to install CM11 from stock, you will also need to update your kernel in the boot partition. Kernels are flashed using fastboot. make sure your drivers are up to date like mentioned above and extract the boot.img from the CM11 zip. load into fastboot mode and flash the boot.img. Your phone should boot after this.
In its current state, your phone is trying to boot a KK ROM on a JB kernel, which is why it's stuck in a boot screen.

cm 11 installation problem on xperia arc

i wanted to install cm 11 on my xperia arc but it said i have to flash a xperia arc s (lt 18i) ftf file so i flashed it after flashing it i returned to stock ics and superuser was gone also cwm recorvery was gone too after i plugged my phone to flash cmm 11 kernel it was not recognising my device and i don't even know if my device bootloader is unlocked anymore please help .
earlier i was on cm10
if you bothered to read you will lose superuser and recovery by flashing a stock ftf file, but your bootloader status remains.
and how do you try to flash the kernel? flashtool? command line?

Find it out, otherwise we can't help.
You say you used CM10. If you were able to use it properly and you didn't lock bootloader meanwhile, then it should still be unlocked.
Now, let's start from the beginning. Which OS is on your PC? Did you install fastboot drivers from Flashtool?

You will want to install your recovery using a cmd prompt. Our phone is S-on, so you may run into difficulty trying to use goo for a recovery installation. MAKE A BACKUP ONCE YOU GET TWRP INSTALLED!!!!
If you want cm10 you will need to get your twrp up and running first, download your desired cm10 zip to your computer, open archives using 7zip, copy the boot img from the rom zip to your working fastboot folder (assuming that you have fastboot set up since you got this far), open a cmd window and navigate to your fastboot folder using the command cd c:\yourfastbootfoldername.
Once your rom is installed, reboot to bootloader. Plug your phone into your pc, it should switch from fastboot to fastboot usb. Use the command fastboot flash boot boot.img. You should now be able to reboot your phone and enjoy cm10!

You should install kernel that given on every ROM thread, and not always HELLBOY.
Unlocked bootloader doesn't mean that your phone is S-Offed, it is different.

There is a whole lot more work to get the device s-off. Your kernel is the boot img that I mentioned earlier. I am PrimoC, so I don't have experience with hellboy, but I do have to flash a new kernel with every rom. If you are going from one cm10 to another cm10, you might be safe, but I wouldn't chance it. Unlocking your bootloader allows you to flash kernels. It doesn't give you s-off.

The one that came with ROM. And please.. just read the damn instruction in the ROM thread, everything is said clearly there, I can bet on that. Read it carefully step by step or you will end up here soon or sooner with another question like "Guys my htc is bricked help".
I just got home from work.... Did you get it, or would you like that tutorial

In order to get out of htc boot screen you have to hold the power and vol up for 10 seconds and then when the screen turns off, hold vol down while still holding power. Then you will be taken to hboot. You don't have an os or rom installed on your phone so you're going to have to flash a new custom rom. All you have to do is connect your phone to your computer with usb cable and use adb commands to push rom file to your phone and through your custom recovery you can flash a new rom. Download this zip and extract it to your desktop or wherever you want. http://www.sakitechonline.com/downlo...stboot_adb.zip Then you download the custom rom you want and make sure it works with your phone. so you drag the custom rom file to the fastboot folder and then in the fastboot folder hold shift and right click on your mouse and press "open command window here" Then in the command window type adb devices to make sure adb is working and you should get numbers that means it works. Make sure your phone is in custom recovery and then type adb push exact name of your rom file.zip /sdcard/ and press enter and then it will push your rom file it will take couple of minutes and then you have successfully pushed your rom file and you can flash a new rom

Noob here, Why does it need to update when the firmware of your ROM is updated? or is it diff?
I thought the ROM already comes with the updated firmware. I'm trying to flash Android revolution 11.1

I think the ROM runs on the updated firmware, not that it comes with the updated firmware. There's a difference.
Read up on some of the stuff being said about the firmware. YES!! I KNOW you are running Android Revolution but still, just for information purposes:
Firmware and the new Android 4.4.3
There the crew from Viper ROM discusses some stuff about the Firmware.
[2014.09.07][GUIDE] FUU and Firmware flashing
Some more info/guide on the Firmware.

Recovery partition basically dead

I recently upgraded my phone to OFFICIAL marshmallow update that Asus provided. Upon doing so my phone's bootloader got magically locked again and when I tried to flash custom TWRP recovery via fastboot the recovery got corrupt. I tried unlocking bootloader again with the software but it isn't supported cause It's marshmallow. The recovery can't be recovered to stock version either. What do I do? I can only access fastboot and nothing else.

download the recovery file from here https://mega.nz/#F!k4MHiAgL!dVuOKeH3eokcwPSNI79ffw then flash it via fastboot
go to fastboot mode
adb devices
adb sideload "your mm.zip"

How can i flash twrp again?

I had unlocked the bootloader and then, flashed global stable, but unfortunately, the mtp (and by the way, fastboot and adb access from a pc) was somehow disabled, and to complete the disgrace package, i have just the original mi recovery. I'm currently at the lastest global stable rom, 10.2, without any hope. What can i do?

No, i can surely enter on fastboot but it wont connect to pc. By the way it just dont works.
is your problem solved? Because I'm also facing this same issue and i have tried almost everything which i could.
I'm on MIUI latest version and I'm trying to downgrade miui verision to 10.2 through OTA updates in order to fix it but it's showing downgrading is not allowed and I'm completely stucked.
Plz if anyone know to solv this out kindly let me know.
As issue says MTP not working i also can't flash TWRP recovery from fastboot and since i'm on stock rom, my phone can't be rooted and i can't edit build.prop file to enable mtp.
Thanks.

Lol win10 is a bad joke... use usb2.0 hub or search for reg fix on xda forum. Or use win7 or linux.
And there is few versions of fastboot.
