Hi all,
Can I have some advice on capacity pen's to handwrite notes on Oneplus One?
Hi,
I tested a cheap one, bought years ago and approximately never used, tested on the Galaxy S and the Galaxy Note 10.1, it didn't work
It din't work either with the poor's man stylus wich I buid for test...
Maybe the screen is more sensitive... I don't know.
You won't be able to find one suitable for writing notes unless you have very low standards.
The OPO doesn't have a digitiser so you will have to use one of the fat ones with an end the size of a pea. They are hopeless to write with, particularly on a small screen.
I am typing this on a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014, which does have a digitiser and is the only device I have ever used that was suitable for handwriting notes and even this is far from perfect. Pen, paper and your OPO's camera are, likely to be your brst option.

what is the best stylus that is available for accurate writing and sketching?
-Is the Samsung Note stylus works with the galaxy S2?
Thank you.
The Note's pen will not work as it is not as stylus, it's a digitizer pen that uses a special system in the screen.
To be honest, and I have more experience with capacitive styli than probably 99.9% of people on here, the S2 is too small to really give you good accuracy with any stylus that is designed for normal capacitive screens. A stylus is even pretty useless for notes and sketching on my 7-inch Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, and even on my iPad I rely heavily on apps that get around the inherent inaccuracy of capacitive styli with apps that have great zoom or magnification options. Navigating menus etc as an extension of your finger is one thing, but sketching and note taking is something completely different.
If you do decide to get one, stay far far away from those generic brands you find on eBay etc, and far away even from styli from Belkin, Griffin etc that you normally find in electronics stores. The more expensive styli ($20-30 range US) are in a whole other class when it comes to both accuracy and durability. I would suggest a stylus that doesn't look huge next to the S2, which eliminates some of the bigger ones out there that are big to emulate permanent markers. Both the Architect Stylus and Wacom Stylus are great and small. I have both, and they're a bit more sanely sized next to the S2 than e.g. the Cosmonaut, AluPen, Maglus etc. You might however want to look at the Jot stylus first. For accuracy on a small screen, it's probably your best bet, though the disc type tip is not to everyone's taste
Thank you very much you I think i will go with the JOT PRO.
you guys really want to see this.
i know the screen of galaxy is too small when comparing to tab,but that guy is really amazing [video is a part of avdt of stylus]
Yep, it is of course possible to do on such a small screen, but you end up zooming and panning a lot. The Galaxy Note is a whole other beast with that pen it comes with, will be interesting to see what pops up on YouTube in terms of drawings made on it
question about the stylus used in the above video

That's a Just Mobile AluPen. Won't work with drawing tablets, completely different technology
Had DAGi Stylus P101 model lying around and tried it since it's winter... have to say it works just fine swiping, scrolling and everything else on my SGS2.

Why don't you try it and see if it works... just go to nearby store and have a blast And where would you get a Note stylus anyways...

Not that they would work, but they are sold separately. Replacements for Notes, obviously
I ordered a cheap $1 Stylus off ebay some time ago, still waiting for it to arrive. While it may not be as accurate as the higher class ones, I don't really need it that bad to begin with (I've come to accept that taking notes on my SGS2 isn't a viable option).
I'm looking for a full sized stylus without any offset issue and have been following the other thread with interest but no-one yet seems to have found something which ticks all the boxes. I'm also a little confused about a couple of things and would appreciate some help. My Q's are:
Is the S-Pen powered and therefore charged by the tablet? I've got both the original and 2014 Note 10.1's and the stylus from the original works on the 2014 no problem and without offset. The thing is the battery is completely flat on the original as it's not been used for some time yet the stylus still works and I'm pretty sure it can't have any charge left in it so how is it then working?
The driver behind this is that I was looking to get a stylus holder for the 2014 stylus but can't find one so thought I'd get an original stylus/holder to use with the 2014 but the issue being I wouldn't be able to keep it charged as the original note is about to be sold.
I've read that the Surface Pro stylus works on the 2014 without much, if any offset. Looking around I found this stylus...
http://www.amazon.co.uk/2XNo1access...qid=1394362536&sr=1-1&keywords=surface+stylus ...and wondered is anyone had any experience of using one or know whether it would work with the 2014.
Any help guys, very much appreciated.
Edit: I've now found an old wide metal pen which both the original and 2014 styluss fits into, funny thing is when either stylus is placed inside the old pen they don't work on the 2014 screen but when they're taken out they both work fine. Weird, is this because the holder has a metal body?

If a pen you're using has no offset issue on another Samsung Note device but does on your N10.1-14 then something's wrong with your N10.1-14. If the pen included with your N10.1-14 has an offset issue it should have it on all Samsung Note devices. I got a S Pen wet once and it developed an offset issue and I had to replace it so they can be damaged or defective. As for a full-size stylus my favorite is the HM-5100 which is also a BT headset. It's pricey though. It's the one on the bottom.

My current S-Pens don't have any offset, I'm looking for an additional full size stylus that doesn't have any offset issues but it appears most do. Your picture won't enlarge for some reason. Is the third one down one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-E...UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL&hash=item485ec2b59b ...if it is I'd be interested in knowing if you've noticed any offset issues with it? It uses the original 10.1 stylus right? It's also less than half the cost of the Bluetooth stylus, which is just too expensive.

It's not a holder - it's a stand-alone stylus. I use it for voice commands and quick phone calls as its a true BT headset. It's great as a stylus because it's weighty and feels good against the glass panel. The button's also well placed so it's easier and more natural to use.

What he said.
The feel of the HM5100 is superb compared to the standard Spen. If it's charged then it doubles as a BT mic/speaker. If it's not charged then it's still the best feeling stylus that I've come across
Question for those of you who had the original Galaxy note n7000 or i717, but also know what the 10.1 s-pen "feels" like...
I recently purchased an "S-pen Holder" off of eBay for use with my Note 10.1 (n8000), though the s-pen that comes with it is intended for the Original Galaxy Note (n7000).
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-S-Pen-Stylus-Holder/dp/B0076Z3GMG
I thought that while the note devices had undergone improvements, the actual s-pens were functionally the same, so I figured I would be nice to have a more pen-like s-pen. The s-pen that fits in the holder does function, but it is definitely NOT the same. While the pen holder is very very nice, the actual S-pen that fits inside of it is absolute crap compared to the one that comes with the note 10.1. The tip is very hard, and does not have the "gumminess" that allows the pen to lay down that nice real pressure sensitive line.
So my question is, does anyone know if they ever make a less crummy pen for the n7000? Is there one available with has more of that modern Galaxy note feel to it? Or, is there a decent aftermarket pen with the same form factor?
I want to keep this fantastic holder, but I will not be able to use this s-pen. The problem is that the case only fits the pen in the shape made for the n7000 and i1717. I already asked the same question on the forums for those devices, which are ghost towns.
Any input would be great.
Hello everyone,
I am not sure whether to get a note 10.1 or a tab s 10.5.
The tab s is better for me in everything except for the lack of spen.
To be honest the stylus would be useful for note taking purposes.
I dont care about the pressure sensitivity or fancy stuff.
Can you do this with a tab s and another pen?
Thanks!
Note taking is limited. Mainly due to lack of software. Fine tip c styluses work nicely on Tab s, the inductive type styluses do not.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171515775743
Try this....works OK but not 'fine' IMHO.
So if I hold down buttons (on a forbidden stylus)) I can click and drag in my fold4. It is ABSOLUTELY compatable with older stylus
Its a simple matter of having it allowing the frequency codes of the other stylus. We know it sees them in order to throw up the warnings.
I strongly believe the "will damage your screen" warnings are for gorillas who might use the phone.
I have never warn out a single stylus,
I am a very light pressure drawer and on op of that I have soft nibs & spring nibs from other pens
I want to take the risk and use my standard pens as I have many Wacom devices I use at once and it get annoying swaping pens.
Yes I have the 2-in-1 pro spen. But I dont want the hassle of having to flip the switch 100 times a day.
Same here, hope there is a workaround.
¿Any non samsung spen compatible with our fold 4? I don't want the bt version, just a standar one to have it at home.

Nillkin iSketch Adjustable Capacitive Stylus... Bought one a year or so ago. It works on ALL capacitive touch screens...
Cost around $50Aud but work brilliantly...
Quick search found here - https://www.aliexpress.com/i/4000379135172.html
You should find a little cheaper if you look as this was 1st hit I found....
I have an old Samsung HM5100 stylus and I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to be able to use it with my fold 4. If anyone can figure out how I can I will be forever thankful.
Came from Note 20 Ultra. There is no reason I shouldn't be able to use it on my Fold4.
Let us all not let this thread die, please.
I have a Note 8 AND a Note 10+.
Both their S-Pen's air gestures can be recognized by the sensors on the Fold 4's inner display.
And I'm gonna be using it with a screen protector anyway.
I don't understand WHY anyone hasn't paid attention to this thread yet.
Come on guys, you'll be collecting blessings out of this.
do the old spens of the note, tab, s series work on fold 4? I have both bt and non bt spen.

NO !
SPen Fold edition has an special "retractile nib system" to use with Samsung Folds
Oddly enough, I use the Nilikin Spen on all my devices and it works on the fold 4 even when I turn the SPEN 'off' on the phone, because it is a powered pen (chargeable) .. but- it defeats the purpose. The pen is BIG and has to be carried just as the original SPEN coming from Samsung, and the fold phones do not have WHERE to put them, unless the case has it, and I use the phone naked. Further more- I use a Samsung laptop and it comes with a built in pen that DOES NOT work on the FOLD. Frustration? Hack yeah ! So I have a pen that works on 'all' my devices, but it isn't a reasonable solution. Also - The Nilikin pen has a fairly wide tip compared to the original FOLD SPEN. Not great. Samsung must find a way, with such a bulky phone, to host an SPEN, and better be one compatible to their other devices (laptop and N10/N20 series). Pathetic solution so far for the FOLD 3/4 .
Ok, I won't buy it then!
