[Q] How to install Custom ROM on F240s Korean Variant - LG Optimus G Pro

Hey Guys!
Before I move to my main question, I have very important thing to share that may help you understand the problem I am facing. I had a LG Optimus G pro E988 purchased few days ago. The phone have jellybean installed on it. So I decided to upgrade it to KitKat. But I could not find LG Update Software on my phone. So after browsing through XDa forums for an entire day, I have figured it out that my phone is actually F240s (Korean) and not E988 (as its software version reads). I guess that the some earlier user had replaced the stock ROM with custom ROM. But, it seems that flashing was not 100% successful as I am having facing several problems like low incall volume, frequent signal drop and wifi dis-connectivity, radio app missing.
I just want to know if there is any custom ROM available for my phone. And if installing the custom ROM will resolve most or any of the problems I am facing with this phone. Its my fourth thread and I am still unable to recieve a single reply to my problem. :crying: I hope that this time, I will get a reply.
Thanks

F240l call to locale on KItkat

Hi all,
My F240l is always stuck on trying to call korea or locale and I cant find a fix for a long time. 2 times I tryed switching roms and ended up bricking the device. When I had 4.1.2 I used the Right Number app And it worked Great, though after the update it stopped working for some reason.
Can something be done?
is there no fix out there guys?
Use a custom ROM
Try flashing a custom ROM such as Sphinx G Pro V1.5 Which is based on Stock so it is same as the stock ROM without Korean bloatware and call locale . Worked for me.

[Q] problems calling on any rom D855

Hi there
since lollipop i change my official 4.4.4 stock rom to 5.0 leaked stock rom from skin 1980 and then i changed it to his chupachups rom, everything was going very good in both roms very fluid, and without having calls issues, then i try the cyanogenmod 12 rom from manusps4e, thats when im starting to have this issue:
everytime i try to make a call the screen goes black and i cant re-activate it, i can make the call but i have to reboot the G3 so i can use the phone again. its the same thing when i receive a call.
so then after many nightlies from this rom i try the cloudy and go back to stock but al got the same problem in every rom.
what you guys think it is?
do you think its firmware problem? rom problem? or hardware problem?
NOTE: sorry if i couldnt explain myself perfectly but im latin american so my English its not very good. and this is my first post

[Q] Little Bugs in Lollipop 5.0 Stock-based Rom

Hi all, I have these little annoying bugs ever since I upgraded from official Lollipop V20F to V20H, and currently in V20I based CloudyG3 2.2:
1. Blinking notification light even though there're no new notifications (specifically WhatsApp)
2. Often delayed time in statusbar (see screenshot)
I'm not sure if there's anyone else faces these problems, they are no harm to device performance but kinda annoying and irritating.
Can anyone please tell me what's the root of problem here and any possible ways to resolves these bugs? Thanks in advanced
There's a thread for CloudyG3 2.2 rom. Post there.

Sorry you're not getting it, what I was saying is that these bugs existed ever since I upgraded my device from official V20F to V20H and therefore I suspect the root of problem is deeper than just ClodyG3 2.2 issue.
Besides I did participated in that thread and apparently no users experience the same problem as I do.
Fresh install not helping
Nobody has any idea how to resolve this? I've tried a fresh CloudyG3 v2.2 install and properly re-calibrated battery still not helping. I'm suspecting this problem is beyond the ClodyG3 rom alone, please help.

Root korean variant (F400) running MarshMallow???

Hey guys, Hope you are well. I searched a lot about how to root LG G3 F400L (Korean Variant) but didn't find any solution. If you have any information related to this, than reply in this thread. I'll wait for you guys.
Currently, my device is running on custom rom. You can find this rom on Lgviet website with this name "[ROM STOCK 6] V30K D855 FULL G5 PORTED F400S/L/K" under G3 device forum. (I don't have permissions to add links)
It has few bugs. e.g. Not able to add APN, Signal drops suddenly (If you are in Messaging App and Signal drops, app closed automatically. This happens too much).
Interface is very very very awesome. Works smoothly. I don't want to leave this rom. But if i found a way to root stock marshmallow rom, then i'll prefer to flash stock marhsmallow & then root it.
One more thing, the very first time , when i flashed this rom, there's no problem of signal drop. It started later after few months, after that, i'll flashed back stock kitkat rom then flashed this custom rom. But the problem still there. Any suggestions, any help will be great.
anyone has solution how to root this phone? thinking to install lineage os to it....

Lollipop Rom for LG G Pro E986.. Help Me Please!!!

I am searching lollipop rom for lg g pro e986. But I dont found. So it can custom rom. Please is there solve for this problem? Do you any help me?
For original ported lollipop this one was decent if I remember correctly:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-g-pro/general/share-rom-lollipop-super-lte-v6-5-g4-t3152144
but there are plenty other option (you can flesh it as E988. I have E986 and it work)
For a custom rom there is even more roms (you can use version marked as for E980 + new kernel) I'm currently using this:

Bump.
Anyone still active with this phone can recommend a kitkat rom or the most stable rom? i own a E986
I'm on stock 4.1, rooted and CWM by feegee
There is official kitkat 4.4.1. File name E98620A_00.kdz search on google or here. As for custom rom kitkat if I remember cyanogenmod had serious problem with camera that stop working after one use and you need to find a way around this problem for example app that reset camera after every use. But where to find Cyanogenmod after official servers were shoot down? I have no idea. Different roms I didn't test.

I'm using SEUX v2 ROM. Here is a link to where I found it. Someone else shared it in another ROM thread.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/op...om-ux-5-0-gpro-variants-t3351116/post67799171
Overall I really like it and I have been using it for about a week now and have had virtually no issues. I paired it with Xposed and G3 Tweaksbox and it is great. To prevent the system from saying root is detected I also installed RootCloak (Xposed module) and that stopped it from saying it (if you try the ROM you will eventually know what I am referring to here.).

Try this one. I am no longer using SEUX ROM I switched to this one after the dev posted a kernel update to fix issues in the latest ROM zip. https://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-g-pro/development/rom-slimlp-beta-0-8-t3213222/page152

Try flashing back to stock and then reroot it again and install a custom ROM. As for the battery, you may have gotten a cheap knockoff version. Try to get a zerolemon battery for it.
okay
