This is the first time I have used a PAC-Man rom, and I have spend a half hour trying to find a couple of settings. If anyone else is familiar with the ROM, and can lend a hand, I would GREATLY appreciate it.
Ok, first off, where to I set the screen timeout? I don't see the setting under the normal settings->display options.
Second, I found that when I look at my recent apps, I see a little app bar with Apollo music player, camer, calendar, calculator, twitter and a couple others in it. Is there any way that I can customize these shortcuts? I play all my music through Google Play Music, and would love to substitute Apollo for it.
For now, that's all I can find (or can't find) wrong. Finally having an S-Off One is really showing off how awesome this phone is.
For the display timeout. Settings>Display&Lights>Sleep.
As for the bar in recents, I'm looking for a way to customize it as well.
Have you noticed any problems with WiFi or loading videos at all? For some reason I can't play Videos through the web or app for YouTube. And my WiFi seems to run at about half speed when I run a speedtest, compared to other devices.
I had problems for a while with YouTube, but without really doing anything it started working (I may have rebooted due to problems with my home screen). I haven't seen away to customize the shortcuts on recent apps yet either. Have you guys charged at all? Mine phone got pretty hot.

I've been running the ROM since we got rumrunner, and I've noticed my phone actually runs cooler while charging and normal use.
I just happened to wake up in the middle of the night and checked it. It was cooler than usual like you mentioned. I dont know what the deal was.

Have you had problems with a laggy launcher at all? Sometimes when I return to the home screen from an app, none of my icons or widgets show up until I hit the app drawer.

I still have yet to figure out how to change the recent apps. I haven't noticed my phone getting hotter than normal, so I'd check to see what apps you have running.
I also haven't had any issues with YouTube, but for some reason, Google Search doesn't want to work. It just looks like it keeps trying to load and nothing ever comes up. It states that a new version is available, but when I try to update, saying that the "Package file was not signed correctly. Uninstall the previous copy of the app and try again." So, whenever I need to search for something, I have to go into chrome and search, which is a pain.
I updated to the 10/13 nightly and it seems to be running pretty well. Battery life is a bit better too. In the PACman thread it sounds like the 10/14 nightly didn't quite build right.

PAC-Man seems to be the best of all worlds. Unfortunatly, I have had little luck with it on any phone I have tried it on. Works great on my Samsung 7.7 tablet but tried it on my GNEX and S3 and I would have constant issues. Very laggy and random reboots. Some apps also did not place nice with it on the GNEX and S3. I have not tried it on the One as Vanir seems to be running really good.

I did have some issues with lag, but after switching to Nova launcher I haven't had any problems. It does sound like the most recent nightly has some fixes for the laggy launcher. Other than that minor issue, this ROM has been pretty stable.
I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
Hello,
Just a couple of quick questions regarding Netflix, maybe it only involves a simple fix. Went through and got cm11 running very smooth on the ouya. No hiccups, bugs, or major setbacks with anything. Everything that I use seems to be working fine, except for Netflix.
It loads properly and seems to work, but ever since I hit the "expand" button in the lower right corner, it won't back out of full screen. It would pull any controls whether I click on screen or press any buttons on my keyboard. The only way to back out is by pressing ESC on my keyboard.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app, rebooting after logging in, deleting the data/cache from the app, also tried installing a couple of older apk's(3.0 & 2.4?) And the problem is still there. Granted its such a minor setback in a huge breakthrough overall, but I was just wondering how to fix that.
Factory reset? Maybe just a bug with Netflix for android? I don't have any other means of trying this out. Regardless, cm11 has brought new life into this console, thanks !!

Yeah, apparently that's normal behavior for us CM11 folks.. (Actually not sure if it's the same in stock ROM because I didn't try it on stock)
I get the same thing no matter what controller or remote I try. It seems like Netflix doesn't recognize or acknowledge player control / commands on the device or ROM. It does respond to 'left' and 'right' arrow commands for rewind a scene/chapter and skip, respectively, however... But to pause you have to hit 'Back' or 'Esc' and hope it actually picks up in the same spot you exited out of the video stream... I don't seem to mind it so much compared to the other issue I'm seeing: Sometimes the video gets stuck or freezes on a frame, but the audio will continue. The video will eventually catch up, but apparently it occurs most often when another device is using just a bit of Internet bandwidth... However, my WDTV box seems to handle that much better. I'm assuming because I never see Netflix do any buffering on the Ouya, and I don't see any setting that helps with that.
I managed to get netflix on a stockplus ROM. I honest don't remember how the controls were, didn't use it much. I also don't remember which apk it was, other than it had a black loading screen.
Overall, its not a deal breaker, since I mainly use xbmc, but having netflix would be a plus. Are all netflix apk's responding that way? On the cm11, I mean.

You can just go to the Play Store and install the "regular" Netflix app on CM11. Works like any tablet version would with a controller.

I've tried that and it seems to retain the full screen setting, which is the problem in question. Even after uninstalling it & reinstalling it, from the play store.
Plus, how do you sync an ouya controller to cm11? That's not that important since I've been using the k400, but to play gta it would be nice to know.
Thanks dude
If you've flashed the zip with all the button layouts, pairing the controller is as simple accessing the Input and Controllers menu, and holding down the U on the Ouya controller until it enters pairing mode. I know I'm missing a step in the menu, but its there, you'll see it. Promise

Just seeing if anyone else has had any luck, tips, tricks, etc.
I installed it. Seems to be working fine. Tried I on my cassette adapter in the car.
You have to set SELinux to permissive mode first. Otherwise it works fine.
hey, so that was easy. change SELinux to permissive and bob's your uncle.
Ok, well it works in Plex for me, but it does not work in Spotify or Google Music.
I only tried it with Pandora
Working perfectly fine on my device H811
I flashed using TWRP dropbox.com/s/vri6pb4vb38bhsu/viper_v2.3.4.0_-_remove_fx_build_fix.zip?dl=0
About gave up for months, then it clicked in my mind when i saw a post mention to make sure all other audio apps redirect eq to viper, and if not, change them. Even if you dont use a certain audio player app, change it too.
Problem is, i could not get the lg music app (which i never use) to change the equalizer to viper, it just had it's own default settings, so i ignored it. So i decided to revisit the lg app, and froze the app with link2sd, i also froze the lg video app too, just in case. Rebooted and now viper sees NEON and i can even run without compatibility mode (which did not work consistantly for me) .
I tried all steps to get this to work, not sure what other things are needed for everyone else, but i tried moving viper to system, installed selinuxmodechanger, maybe this can be uninstalled now, i have no idea. I have no plans to fix what isnt broken and find out myself, so just try freezing lg music app for starters.
Hope it works for you, if so, let the community know what steps you had to do!

Just flash Imperium ROM. Its truly flawless.
Stock ROM, not rooted. Device worked fine before Marshmallow, now Netflix and MX Player both freeze video after approx 10 seconds of playback. Netflix customer support was no help but it really does seem to be something that Google broke with Marshmallow.

I have the same issue with Netflix - audio streams fine but video stutters and then freezes after a few seconds. MX Player works perfectly for me though. Youtube also works fine, and I've streamed baseball games and highlights from the MLB AtBat app without issue.
I'm rooted and updated to Marshmallow using an OTA update file.
Other than the Netflix issue I find Marshmallow fantastic. Everything seems snappier and smoother. USB OTG mounting works flawlessly, even after uninstalling Stickmount. Battery drain during sleep is almost zero. I also no longer have resolution issues when outputting video using a SlimPort adapter - I used to need a ResolutionChanger app but no more.
My feeling is that the issue is with the Netflix app - it was updated for compatibility with Marshmallow but it is probably in need of further updates. Here's hoping.

Aha! Good to know. I did a no-wipe update using NRT. After trying to revert back to 5.1.1 using NRT no-wipe, I ended up doing a factory reset
I'll try to upgrade now and report back.
On my Nexus 7 the apps BBC and ESPN along with Netflix and Google Play Movies & TV are all show video issues. The video on BBC and ESPN will only show in the lowest resolution (144p), while on netflix the video stutters and stalls while audio keeps going. On Google Play movies & tv video lags but only while streaming, if I download a movie it plays fine.
I made a bug report on AOSP issue tracker #189772 I have a feel that the issue is apps not caching correctly since the update to Marshmallow.
IDK...otherwise I love Marshmallow...I miss viper.
Running
ROM: Bad Boyz Nexus 7 stock rooted v2
Kernel: Elementalx 5.0

Sorry, Netflix is still freezing for me. However, other video services work fine.

i did a clean install. directly after flashing the 6.0 factory image, and installing the netflix app on the fresh sytem, everything works fine. even after rooting it is still working. but as i left the N7 alone for some time and then started netflix it started lagging like hell. without having canged a thing...
you need to disable battery optimising for video apps, as soon as i did that videos worked as usual.
settings, battery, three dots(top right), battery optimisation, tap not optimised then all apps, select the video apps and select Don't Optimise.
I havent tried all apps but it work for me on google movies.
Disabling battery optimization did not help for me with Netflix, unfortunately.
Same issue. Netflix freezes with marshmallow update Nexus 7 2013. Sound will continue to play, but video stutters and freezes.
Turning off battery optimization does nothing.
Any other suggestions out there other than flashing back?

There has been a recent update to Netflix (3.15.2), has this addressed the issue?
Sadly, the latest Netflix update has not resolved the issue for me. All other streaming apps have (so far) worked fine. This was after a clean flash, stock everything, and a factory reset after discovering the issue, just to make sure.
The new Netflix update didn't resolve this issue. Every other app is working as intended.
Netflix and Google Play Movies and TV still stutter and lag while espn and NBC News video will only show in the lowest resolution. MX plays fine when playing a video file on my nexus, idk about streaming. All my video issues come solely when streaming.
Same issue here. Nexus 7 on Marshmallow fresh install. Everything works but Netflix. Battery non-optimization didn't work
Just got a Netflix update and while the issue isn't entirely resolved the app stutters a lot less, to the point that I would deem Netflix to be at least marginally watchable.
It's still freezing after a couple of seconds with the new update. Archer on Netflix was running fine, but Dr Who is freezing.
Just to add to the count, Netflix borked on Marshmallow. Awful stuttering. Clean install i.e. deleted all caches etc. and started as though it was a new device.
Just got off a chat with support:
So, yes I confirmed and we are currently testing it. You should get it working once we are done

Basically they are aware of the issue and are testing a fix.
I also have a video issue, but it is different. When I watch Youtube, many times the video will freeze while the audio continues to play. I've tried FC'ing the app, restarting, etc... but the video part of the playback keeps freezing. If I let the audio play eventually all playback will stop and it will tell me that it is buffering.
This does not happen on any other device on my network... just the Nexus 7. This has been happening since Android L, and even after I did a clean install of M. Any suggestions?
same here, the new update didn't solve the problem. but at least its good to hear that netflix is working on it.
Hi guys.
So as title, I heard people said Facebook 104.xx version onward, doesnt work well with Kitkat.
Random crash, random feeds error, video freezing.
I tried both;
the latest one, the crash constantly happen, kicked out from feeds to menu, cant play whole video without freezing.
the v104, crashed maybe one time per day or two, can play video without freezing.
Its seem like from what I heard is true but why it is not mention on facebook's part or is it just happen to me?
I tried latest facebook on RR rom with no problem as such.
Thanks.
