MY SMART PHONES CAMERA IS NOT WORKING.
WHENEVER I START THE CAMERA THE WHOLE SCREEN BECOMES BLACK AND THEN UNFORTUNATELY THE GALLERY has stopped comes SO WHAT SHOULD I DO?
No need to yell. First reboot then try again if nothing clear data from camera app in app settings.
Please post questions in the Q&A section.
Also, you may want to change the title of your thread so people will know more what it is about.

Are you rooted? Did you freeze/disable or delete some system apps? Try what was suggested above - specifically clearing data from the camera app. And then give us more info - like what you may have done prior to this issue (root, mods, etc.) and what version you're using.

I searched the forums, I searched google. There is no answer, but maybe my Google-fu isn't good enough.
Note: This is included with the new EVO update. It always runs in the foreground and there is nothing you can do to kill it.
Does anyone know what HTC Loggers is? These are the permissions you must allow it:
Location - Fine (GPS) location
Development tools - enable application debugging limit number of running processes, make all background applications close
Network communication - full internet access
Storage - modify/delete SD card contents
System tools - Display system-level alerts, make application always run, prevent phone from sleeping, read system log files

I already am rooted (S-OFF) and I want to freeze the app with Titanium. I want to know if anyone else has frozen/deleted it and with what effects. Also, WTF is this app?
It is sort of like catlog. When you unhide it and run it it gives you a list of available logs to view.... eg radio/wimax/system/application.
I assume you are running the latest OTA to be seeing this?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Yeah, I am running the latest OTA. Can I freeze it in Titanium App? I don't like the idea that at any time my radio usage can be sent to HTC or whoever gets the information.
such assholes
you know, I like HTC but this is bull****... I just froze the app in Titanium (yes rooted) and it STILL was running, so I chuck norris'd it's ass
DON"T DO THAT
it freaks out and tries like twice per second to load the loggers app. f*k.
so apparently there's some other process that's constantly trying to load/communicate with it.
and yes, it is logging - my gps icon keeps popping up every few seconds, wasting my f*king battery
SERIOUSLY WTF
noticed it too yesterday on phone. what is it exactly tracking?
It's reasons like this that make me love AOSP. No Sprint or HTC crap on my phone.
it tracks any bugs or force closes on your phone. Nothing bad.

It probably tracks what porn sites you visit too.
HOW do you unhide it to see the logs?

There's a thread in the evo3d android developmemt forum by TrevE that extensively covers this subject.
Its an eye opener.

~ I'm a fungi
I know this topic has probably been talked about already, and I am pretty sure I have already read a thread exactly like mine, but the question gets asked and then it goes off in different directions not giving an exact answer.
I have a Galaxy Nexus, brand new as of Saturday Jan 4. As soon as I got it, it got an update, I'm guessing to Android 4.0.2 since that is the version I have. My question has to do with My Verizon Mobile app, the Books app and the Email app. Will disabling these apps screw up anything with the phone, like are they very connected to any other apps or setting with the phone ?
Also, is disable like delete, if not how do I truly delete an app ? And while on topic of getting rid of things i dont use that wont effect the phone/other apps/anything, what other stock apps that come on the phone from the start could I get rid of with no side effects at all ?

Those 3 should be able to be disabled with no adverse effects.

Disable is just like it sounds. It removes the app from menus and stops it from running. In order to fully 100% delete system-level apps, you must be rooted.
There are many different threads/lists of "safe to disable" apps.
okay, to start off. i've tried to search the forum about multi tasking issue, but found nothing to answer my question, every time i'm doing something, then minimized the app to do something else, then go back to the previous app, the screen is not the same anymore, seems like its restarting.. is there a way to fix this?

It's a new sense feature which hibernates the background apps in order to keep maximum ram available for your new activities. I don't completely agree with the idea. To accommodate Sense, which gulps up so much resources, so we end up with "iphonish" multitasking. Sad.

HTC said its a Feature not a Bug, so I am not sure if it will be "fixed".
But recently I have heard that the newest update has modified this "Feature", the system can keep some certain apps (like browser) in background.
If the update wont work for you, maybe you can try disabling this setting>developers options>do not keep activities, then it will keep 3, ONLY 3 apps in background, but your 4th app will face the same "feature". And this setting can drain your battery fast.
Correct me please if I am wrong
samsung galaxy tab s 8.4 smt705
rooted with twrp
selamba rom
when i open a camera app i get an error message and the app force closes. i ve tried all the clear cache reboot fixes and itll work for awhile, then it stops working again. wondering if the changelog might give someone an idea.
edit- cant post screenshot for some reason. now i understand why a lot of posts dont have screenshots and you cant figure out what the **** theyre talking about.
This sometimes happens with ROMS. All you need to do is download some random camera apps from the Google Play Store. One of them will eventually work!

yeah, thats what ive been doing. open camera 1.34 seems to be working fine. it did get an error message when i first downloaded it, but i had just uninstalled camera fv. after reboot its been opening the camera just fine. i liked the samsung camera but i dont like gallery, so ive got both of those froze. camera/cinema fv light would not work with this selamba rom.
camera and gallery work with each other. if you frozen one, the other one definitely will give a problem. its how samsung wrote the code. its in the framework. camera will search for gallery that it was mean to work with.

Last week I updated my OP9 Pro to the latest version c61. Everything works fine, but the Photos App is basically useless.
What I mean by this is when I go into the Photos App everything is "blank". When I go into file explorer and go into the DCIM of pictures folders I have I can view the thumbnail and even open up any image and view it, but if I try directly from the Photo's app it's just showing like a blank transparent black box.
I have a 2 part question.
1. Has anyone experienced this before, and if so, how did you fix it? I really don't want to wipe my entire phone because everything else works fine.
By the way I tried clearing cache storage for the app under app info and tried disabling, rebooting my phone and reenabling and no luck.
2. What is a good Photo's/Gallery replacement app to the stock one?
A few features that I would like if possible:
No ads
minimal/simple functionality (I don't really care about extensive photo editing. Really just cropping and flipping photos if necessary)
If you can hide certain gals that a plus, but not necessary
A lot of the replacement gallery/photo apps I have seen have a lot of ads and I don't want to deal with that.
Thanks in advance!
Hi, whilst I've never experienced the issue you have in question 1, have you tried to add an album? When you take a photo on your phone camera does that appear? ( Both in the camera and your gallery) as for an alternative I personally use Google photos as it just works.
Thanks for your response and sorry for the delayed response. It's a really odd glitch.
If I take a picture and open it at that moment it will display fine. Also if I go into a file manager and open it I can view it fine. But if I go into my photos app it's blank. I ended up downloading a couple other photo apps and they open up all my media fine without any issues. It's a really bazaar glitch but seems to only be with the oneplus photo app with the newest c61 update.
I'm not sure if I can remove the stock photo app from my phone because I believe it's a system app and the only option I have is to disable it, but I was thinking of trying to remove it from my phone and reinstalling it from scratch.

did you already clear cache and storage of the app?
maybe you denied a required access right by accident?

Yes I did that and also checked to make sure all proper permissions were granted.

strange.
I mostly use the google photos app. not sure if this is an option for you, but it should check all the marks from the initial post.
Thanks, I should look at it. I'm not sure if google photos backsup your stuff by default, or you can just turn off that feature. I feel like with that feature enabled I would quickly run out of the limited space google gives you as it is so you would be forced to upgrade to get more space.

I think it is turned off by default or at least asks you.
but you can definetly turn the backup off manually.
it gives you 15gb incl. shared between google drive, gmail and photos I think.
for me this is still enough, but I also backup at my home cloud.
