[Q] TA wiped while flashing ftf :( - Xperia Z1 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok i made a huge mess of my phone while trying to flash Liquid Smooth.
I forgot that I had relocked bootloader (to be able to update if new official updates came) and went to recovery and flashed LS.
Then the phone wasn't booting, so I tried to unlock the bootloader in that state and it showed some error that phone is already rooted. :|
Then I thought I'll start over again, and since I don't have any recent ftf files, I had to go back to jellybean and ended up flashing the (wrong) Ntt Docomo one :/ . First time I unchecked a few and still phone wasn't booting, so next time I just left it all unchecked (the exclude options that is) and it finished and booted into the 4.2.2 Rom.
Then i tried to flash the dual recovery, which was successful on screen, but wasn't able to enter recovery. When I realised I flashed the wrong jb firmware, cause i had a german firmware too which I used last time. And now even though it is successfully flashed in flashtool it;s not booting into that firmware at all. In fact nothing is coming on the screen when I try to power on the device.
Is is hardbricked by any chance? Or is there a solution to this?

Basic questions which remain unanswered:
Can you get into fastboot
Can you get into flashmode
Next question, which firmware are you trying to flash (link, log from flashtool)? What light does the LED have when booting?

yeah when connecting to pc it does go into flash mode - but at times some header mismatch comes n if at all if does flash successfully - it just doesn't boot
this is the one i'm trying to flash now and failing
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797834
and the phone doesn't boot, while trying to turn on- just vibrates once and the red led keeps blinking when plugged in to charge.
[edit]
had to do again to get the logs

Post the log of flashtool and a screenshot which options in flashtools are checked. Header mismatch means something is not successful, probably kernel is not flashed properly.

i never messed with the kernel
n sorry for being late to post logs - had to get back to laptop n the good thing is I can flash that Docomo ftf file :/ n phone boots up , had to wifi tether to connect to net again.
but I'm stuck on that rom now

n in the screenshot - first i tried with checking - TA, Kernal and Fota : that resulted in a boot loop with Sony logo coming n going on repeat.
next time i did as in the screenshot - without checking any option

You are flashing a firmware from a different phone and wonder why it doesn't boot? Really?
Why the heck are you flashing a firmware from SO-02F if your phone is D5503? Forget about SO-02F and delete this firmware from your computer. Simply flash the firmware you linked to ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797834 ) and post logs from flashtool + screenshot of options checked in flashtool!

and only that SO-02F file that boots now
n the logs i posted are for the file i've linked.
n these are the options i used for it

never mind bro thanks for trying to help ^_^
i fixed it in a round about manner :s :/

It's not (more) dangerous to Downgrade a FTF ?
Im' in "R800i_4.0.2.A.0.69_World.ftf" the phone block again in SE logo.
But I do the 2 step its OK (don't boot again)
I try the Third now
EDIT:
I try this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2333979
So I Flash with the Kernel Lupus V8 (480p) = All ok
Now when I turn on the mobile:
1 vibrate
Logo Lupus
2nd Vibrate
(and loop back) or if I keep push the down button a menu ask me which boot I want (1,2,3,4) or setting menu or credits information.
Question:
Where I found the wipe option ? ^^
EDIT 2:
Finally I founded. ^^
So .. No I had Install a new rom they work now ^^ I think when I update the FTF this broke the system. So we just need to do all step until the end
Thanks a lot man !

Xperia ION LT28at flashing Baseband

I have the LT28at with custom because I dont need LTE but I'm trying to flash ANY baseband but the "Baseband version" doesnt change on "about phone", I have this version 9x00B-SCAQCSZQ-34702090-35 and it doesnt change with any other compatible baseband.
I have flashed the LT28h .211(JB) baseband and then the LT28at .111(ICS) and the version is the same.
What I'm doing wrong?

[Q] Bootloop after going from Kitkat to JB

Hi guys
I followed these to flash using flashtool by Androxyde
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2631291
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...stock-roms-t2240614/post46289357#post46289357
No issues at all, all went fine, but it went into bootloop. What should I do?
Just FYI, I didn't wipe data or cache during flash. Could that be the cause? Thanks

Report back after flashing again and wiping. JB and KK are different OS's so chances are that's the problem. You could probably get away with not wiping when flashing another KK ROM on KK FW and the same goes for JB.

will do bro
thanks for the info
i am actually very disappointed with Google this time round. I have been an Android user for quite some time, going from Eclair to Froyo to GB to JB and now KK. Each new release is significantly better than the predecessor, except for KK. First time I'm going backward

[Q] Sony Xperia S (LT26i) cannot flash new and old ROM

Hello guys!!!
Just want to seek your HELp regarding my Sony Xperia S.
Im running on custom ROM EXIZTNZ when my wife factory reset my phone.
Then it goes on boot loop and never restarted again.
I can flash ROM and KERNEL using flashtool but when restart it still on the same boot loop.
and the CWM 6.0.3.0 by Cray Doze is there running but when I do some factory reset it says read-only system file.
I've tried flashing the stock kernel and rom and all the possible options i saw here but non of them works.
I've tried flashing by sideload on recovery but still no hope...
Is there anyone who knows how to work on this problem, I just cant figure out a way to solve this...
Thanks for your help in advance...
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.
Stand by
Good luck

Did You try flash stock firmware? Not just the kernel. But do note, it will delete Your stuff like messages and apps data, although not music, photos, videos etc.

i did try flashing the stock firmware.
The problems seems to be that the ROM is write protected and that even if it says successfully flash, when the phone starts the old firmware and recovery is still the one written on it... its always the same bootloop i am facing...

I'm still hoping someone here can help me fix this problem.
Flashtool doesn't seemto work even if I flash the stock ROM.
Seem's the device is read only and cannot write anything on it...
Thank you all in advance....

Ah apologies, must have missed Your notification. Given that You were already on Existenz, I can assume that You know a bit about flashing and stuff. Even then, can You try downloading the zip again and flashing it by wiping system, data, cache and dalvik cache and post the output of it here? This time instead of side load, use the push command as follows:
Code:
adb push path/to/ROM.zip /sdcard/
Also, can You post the way You are trying to flash the stock firmware using flashtool, like what options You tick, untick etc just so that we are on same page. The output of flashtool too, fro the moment You start flashtool.
And is You bootloader unlocked? If yes, then it would make this a lot simpler.

@Mirhawk thanks for taking time on this problem of mine.
below is the log file when using ADB PUSH:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C:\android>adb push C:\android/lt26i.zip /sdcard/
failed to copy 'C:\android/lt26i.zip' to '/sdcard/': Is a directory
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I even tried the other ADB commands like:
adb shell
recovery --wipe_data
but it just shows the android logo and nothing happens after even waiting for long hours,...
Even formatting via recovery by wipe data/factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, wipe cache partition doesn't work.
I always end up with the message,
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Warning: wipe_block_device: Discard failed
I: Can't format unknown volume: /external_sd
I: Can't format unknown volume: /emmc
rm: can't remove '/cache/dalvik-cache: Read-only file system
rm: can't remove '/cache/dalvik-cache: No such file or directory
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
And below, see how flashtool succesfully flash the stock firmware but when I restart the phone it is still on the existenz and the same bootloop happens,..

@Mirhawk thanks for taking time on this problem of mine.
below is the log file when using ADB PUSH:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C:\android>adb push C:\android/lt26i.zip /sdcard/
failed to copy 'C:\android/lt26i.zip' to '/sdcard/': Is a directory
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Click to collapse
If You read the output, it says that the copy operation was not successful. The command should be
Code:
adb push C:\android\lt26i.zip /sdcard/

I even tried the other ADB commands like:
adb shell
recovery --wipe_data
but it just shows the android logo and nothing happens after even waiting for long hours,...

Click to collapse
I don't think that command works on TWRP. Also, what exactly do You mean by android logo? Can You attach a picture of it.

Even formatting via recovery by wipe data/factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, wipe cache partition doesn't work.
I always end up with the message,
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Warning: wipe_block_device: Discard failed
I: Can't format unknown volume: /external_sd
I: Can't format unknown volume: /emmc
rm: can't remove '/cache/dalvik-cache: Read-only file system
rm: can't remove '/cache/dalvik-cache: No such file or directory
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Click to collapse
You need to flash the system block too, but that is not getting wiped due to read-only, right?

Why are You flashing an older version? Flash the new latest version ftf from here.

Repost the image, I think You didn't select it properly.
Edit: Connect Your phone in fastboot mode and try this command:
Code:
fastboot -w
It should wipe data.
If You read the output, it says that the copy operation was not successful. The command should be
Code:
adb push C:\android\lt26i.zip /sdcard/
I don't think that command works on TWRP. Also, what exactly do You mean by android logo? Can You attach a picture of it.

I did flash all the stock firmware for Lt26i from ginger bread, jelly bean and ICS... still nothing worked...
fastboot -w don't work too...
Guess I'll have to dispose off this phone now... :crying:

That is weird. Flashing JB firmware should have restored our phone.
Don't dispose the phone, You can try going to a repair person, they will definitely repair Your phone if You are not able to.

One last thing I want to discover about is this info from flashtool
13/048/2015 16:48:44 - INFO - No bootdelivery to send
13/048/2015 16:48:44 - INFO - Processing kernel.sin
This seems to be the problem why even if I flash any kind of ftf files nothing works... What do you think Sir?
Anyways, maybe I really need to send it to physical hardware flashing like jtag repair or anything..
Many Thanks!!!
