[Q] wifi problem? **** - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I have a problem again .
My wifi clear my access points after reboot system.
I change rom and wipe dalvik cache but this problem returning ever.
Some idea for fix?

You could try disabling Google backup if you have it enabled, it has given similar problems to some people on other devices.

Works thanks

my Market has died. closes right after open.

Hey,
Starting today, whenever I open the Market application, its window appears and immediately disappears. It doesn't say anything about a force close - just disappears.
I tried connecting to Wifi and disconnecting from Wifi.
Connecting to mobile internet and disconnecting from it.
Shutting down the phone multiple times.
Doing it will charging and while not charging.
Nothing works.
It keeps happening.
Ideas, anyone?

what do you mean by "from recovery"?
i tried doing Settings --> Applications --> Manage applications --> Market -> Clear cache
cache has been cleared, Market still closes as soon as I open it...
any other ideas?
Sounds like a screwed packages.xml (in /data/system) - I had this issue as well. Do you have root? Then you could try to use Titanium Backup to fix it or you have to delete it.
no root

no, i don't have root...
i was thinking of doing it though, regardless of this issue...
can you answer a couple of questions about that for me? (kinda off-topic but i might just go ahead and root the device and then follow your advice)
1. if i root - can i still do a "factory reset" and get the phone to how it was when i first got it?
2. if HTC pushes updates after i've rooted the phone, can i install them? and if i then do factory reset, what would happen?
3. this one is pure curiosity - if i DON'T root the phone, and install some update pushed by HTC, and then do a factory reset - will i get to the pre-update or post-update condition?
thanks!
!!!
i have same problem here,
frist i thought it was software err...
flash a different rom...
still cant connect to google...

[Q] what app/s is/are interfiring with my internet tethering?

Hi.
I have the latest leedroid rom with the latest radio.
I have an unlimited cellular internet that works great on the cell phone itself.
When I try to use it as a hotspot I can only connect to Gmail from my computer. All the other sites show me a http denial message.
I read somewhere else in the forums that someone had a similar problem so he flashed the rom again but without any of the apps. I did the same and it worked like a charm. He then reinstalled the apps and it kept on working. I tried it and it stopped.
Before I try the very annoying attempt of uninstalling app by app until it starts working, I'd like to ask if anyone knows of some apps that cause this problem.
I was thinking of things like the AVG or viber/whatsapp. Meaning apps that keep working all the time in the background and use the internet.
Any ideas?
Thanks
fixed!
as it seems, some of the user data files stored in the titanium backup was the cause of it. I can't tell which one but when I flashed the ROM again after a full wipe and factory reset it worked great. I then restored only the data files and the problem repeated so I reflashed it with the wipe and factory reset and restored all the apps but non of the data files and it is working great!

the process android.process.acroe has stopped working. This is on MIUI only.

I can switch to cm7 or any other rom and i do not get this issue. I have tried to clear the contacts storage cache and the framework cache and rebooted. Still problems. I also turned off auto sync. I even wiped the dalvik cache and system cache.
This is really frustarting it only happens with the rom i want to use. Any help guys did i miss something?

[Q] i can't clear cache or data from settings... anybody else?

OK - first, the obligatory apology in advance if this has been discussed. I promise i searched first.
When I go into clear the cache or data from an app (via the settings menu), i'm unable to do so - they all just say "calculating" and never actually display anything, and the buttons are always greyed out. (I'm also unable to use "1-tap" cache cleaner that used to work before, but I'm more concerned about not being able to clear an app's cache from within the OS).
i'm still locked and stock, so i can't clear cache in recovery. i could always plug it in and clear through adb. but my real question is, are other people having this problem, and does it point to something larger?
thanks in advance.
Bump? Thanks in advance guys...

Hi,
I'm having the same behaviour, did you solve your problem ?
Same here...

Strange double tap to top phenomenon

Hi everyone. Recently I have found out that my note 2 (N7100) encounters with a very strange problem, that is, with the double tap to top function activated, in contacts/ stock email apps, even without double tapping the top of the phone, the list would automatically go to top.
Does anyone has this problem too? After searching through the internet looks like I am the only one who has this problem.
Don't know whether this is a software problem or hardware problem.
Rom/kernel? If you use custom rom and recovery do a cache and dalvik cache wipw from recovery and if that won't do, try fix permission too.
