[Q] Can't auto detect OTG or USB from Laptop - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

please help...
Several days ago I installed Clean Master for my SM-T705, after then I used standard clean for my SM-T705.
But after that I couldn't use my OTG on it, before I installed Clean Master its worked properly, so I thought that its own Samsung apk disabled or force to disabled.
So anyone can tell me what apk from its own Samsung which must be run so I can use my OTG again?
Thanks anyway

Just flash your stock firmware manually with Odin. Should be no-wipe, but I'd recommend to at least wipe cache.

is there any another way enable the original Samsung apk or fix Samsung service apk indeed?
why? because when I connect to my laptop, its couldn't auto detect my tab, so Odin3 either Kies didn't detected it properly

I would try a factory reset then since you can't connect to your PC. And if a factory reset doesn't work if its still under warranty, take it back is your last hope.

Kies vs odin

Which is best to return to stock? Im selling my s3 and I need to get it back to stock. Is kies better than Odin since it's an official software from Samsung than Odin?

Awesome, thank you!
After flashing stock via Odin, you will likely have to boot into stock recovery, wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache. Reboot.

Restore Tablet To Stock

I want to restore my Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 P5200 back to complete stock, which would involve removing root and restoring the stock recovery, however I am unsure on how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Greetings Krustykobb, There are few ways to do that. But I am not sure which way that you prefer.
Option A: Flash stock rom with odin.
Option B: Update ur device with Kies after you do a factory reset and wipe cache and internal storage ( this option will remove most of ur files and your recovery as well!)
Option C:You can try to download stock rom from the net and flash it with your custom recovery. This method will keep your recovery.
NOTE: Above progress will remove root permission.

I currently have TWRP recovery installed, will doing option b remove it? And do I wipe cache and internal storage before or after?
Yes option b will remove almost all, it happend to me when i wanna upgrade my device p5220 to 4.4.2 kitkat and it also happen on my Galaxy wonder i8150 while i revert back to stock rom. after you wipe your cache and internal storage. Then boot up normally and connect to kies. Kies most likely will popup upgrade your firmware window.

So i wipe cache and internal storage first?
You can just tap on factory reset under your settings and it will to the rest of the job. Then you go to twrp to wipe internal storage. Then you will get a clean same rom, then you connect to kies and let it do the rest. after you done, boot it up again and you will see set up your device page.

I tried doing a factory reset in the current rom but the root wasn't removed
EDIT: I just noticed that TWRP has been removed and is back to factory recovery, however the device software status is still custom. Do I still try and update through Kies?
I would prefer to do that.

After Factory Reset, Phone is Slow as Hell - HELP!!

I'm rooted on my Galaxy S3. Last month I made a backup through TWRP recovery. Yesterday when I restored to the backup, the restore wasnt complete. I tried to restore again and I encountered the same incomplete restore. My customized settings in the apps were gone and some of the apps I had backed up weren't included in the restore. Looks like something got messed up.
I then wiped cache, Dalvik, data and system. I even formatted the phone. I also did a factory reset. This messed up my phone so I installed a new rooted stock rom. So now, the phone is slow as hell and apps arent very responsive. Everything is laggy and slow. And the play store and youtube have slow connection speeds.
What should I do to fix this stupidity??
Did you try restoring a stock ROM via Odin?
I had the same thing happen before. Odin with a stock rom is all that fixed it for me.

Yes I did. But Playstore downloading speed and wifi speed are slow as hell. What do you suggest?
Are you downloading over WiFi or cellular data network? The phone is running the latest rom without root? After flashing, you you immediately go to b recovery and do a full wipe?

Yes I'm downloading over wifi and its slow. The phone is laggy too. Its running JB with root. I tried a full wipe of dalvik, cache and data or system. It doesnt help.
This is really strange because a factory reset usually does the trick.
This may be a redundant question but was the phone flashed with the correct ROM? I see different variations of the T999 on sammobile.com's website.

Hi audit.. Its not a dumb question at all. The rom was the correct one for my phone. Everything was working fine up until a week ago. Its possible that my phone fell and maybe that caused damage maybe.
Not only that but restoring bsckups through TWRP doesnt yield perfect restores. All my restores have not been complete. Customized settings all returned to default and apps were rearramged differently.
Anyeay, just to make sure, how can I do a proper wipe without wiping out my custom settings and apps? Do I just wipe dalvik, cache and system?
You would wipe dalvik and cache only.
Wiping data wipes apps.
Wiping system wipes the rom.

Thanks for a speedy reply. Can you explain why my backuo restores through TWRP dont yield perfect restores? Custom settings return to default and apps are arranged differently.
I am not sure why that happens but I have used twrp on several phones, including the lg g2, nexus 4, note 3, htc one x, and Samsung tab without issue. Maybe you need to do a full wipe before restoring? Does the phone have the latest twrp?

Hi audit. Yes the phone has the latest TWRP. I downloaded it from the play store yesterday.
I got an important question. I backed up my rom a few days through TWRP as I said. Is it possible to open up the backup on my laptop and search for specific pics? I dont want to restore the rom, since as I stated, I have problems doing so. I just need to get those pics. Is this possible?
I am not sure but it is worth a try.
Humour me but is the twrp 2.8.7?

Thats right, current version is 2.8.7.0.
I don't know why it doesn't restore properly. Maybe try re-flashing twrp from Odin? Can't really think of anything else.

How do I reflask TWRP through odin? In doing so, would I risk losing my data, apps, etc? Is it safe?
You download the tar file for d2att, open Odin, put phone into download mode, put the tar file in the pda box, and flash.

Wait, when you say the tar file for d2att you mean the TWRP file, right? Hope thats what you mean because the way you describe it, it sounds like instructions on flashing the whole rom.
Where do I get the tar file for the TWRP app?

You either need to Odin flash stock original official firmware
or re-flash whatever zip file rom you have flashed.
Good luck,
Have a great day!

You will NOT loose the data unless you do a full wipe which includes data.
Good luck,

Your music should be in your internal sdcard, if its not there that
means that you selected to wipe internal sdcard and or you have
done a "factory reset" in stock recovery.
If you done either of those things you cannot restore your music
unless you have backed it up with dropbox, google, onedrive or
other cloud backup services.
Good luck,

Galaxy Note II Freezing up occasionally

Can anyone let me know the best way I can locate the cause of my note 2 freezing up occasionally so I know what I need to do to remedy it?
Try going into recovery and wiping the cache and Dalvik cache
Don't do a system wipe.

I was hoping Factory Reset wasn't gonna be needed if I can locate the culprit (If its an app that is).
I have got it rooted so I can flash the rom I have on it again or a different one. I currently have Ditto Note 3 installed v3.2.1
I am thinking you are about to experience sudden death, where the memory fails. It's what happened to mine before it died
But try re-flashing first. Use latest stock for your phone. Check Sammobile for the latest

Oh I hope its not a memory failure :-/
I'll try a re-flash first after backing up and go from there.
Thanks GR.
