There are 3 options, but aren't they for other Optimus versions than E975? Which do you prefer?
The thing is i can't go download mode cause i already have unlocked bootloader and it gets me to fastboot mode. I unlocked it with Freegee but the backup is gone. Is there any possibility to lock bootloader? The phone is fully working, only thing is yellow tints on screen and i wanted to get it back on warranty.

It can be true. I bought it used in my country from some shop. I think they have replaced the screen with new one. I talked with the shop owner and he told me that he checked the screen before sending me and it was ok, but if i want i can send them phone back so they will replace it with new one(but he didn't tell me that it was replaced already at all). But now i'm in trouble and i don't know if i can lock bootloader without EFS Backup :/ If u have any ideas, tell me please.

If you bought it from shop so don't worry about unlocked.unlocking doesn't effect screen.

Maybe, but he wrote on his warantee card that changing firmware void the warantee. So if i send him the phone back, i don't think he will want to replace screen with new one(which is quite expenisve) when he will see europe open firmware(i had brand before) with bootloader unlocked... i will just lost money sending him phone.
About yellow tints, i heard that iphones had similar problem, it was caused by glue between screen and digitizer or somewhere else, and tints disappeared after few days of using, but i can't tell if my LG will be the same.
use kdz updater and that's it. flash the original firmware the phone came with.it takes 5 minutes.
playis but

Very strange! After using freege for unlocking bootloader and flashing CWM Recovery, I got a Kernel error. I tried to flash KDZ in download mode, but after start flashing process my phone reboot in fastboot. Are you in the same situation?
If u can get into recovery mode, you can flash any working ROM and then try the old version of freegee to avoid kernel errors. The update version from playstore gives this kernel error, since it flashes the bootloader of nexus4. But I think, the playstore version should be fixed by now... better to check it... search for the old version of freegee posted by davevinci...
Lol guys i'm very stupid... you can go into download mode by holding volume + and - and starting the phone. Then you can reflash it with stock firmware in LG Support Tool under emergency options or something like that(i'm not using english version so i don't know how it sounds in english) or with KDZ Updater. Ofc my phone is fully working, all i want is to get back to stock settings.
You already had the answer...use the damn kdz updater to flash stock firmware, then perform a hard reset. end of story. why the drama??why do you guys don't read the whole story?why don't you learn how to revert the changes you make BEFORE starting doing them?
Hello everyone,
After flash a .kdz file my imei is "00", there is any way to get my original imei ? Maybe with LG flashtool or other programm like that...
Do you have EFS partition backup?

No y have forgot to do efs backup before flash kdz... But y have my original box with my original imei ect
If you dont have EFS backup then you cant do anything.
Probably some repair shop with box tool can set it up, but you cant do anything to restore if you dont have EFS backup.

I have seen other posts showing how to do it with G2. Wouldn't there be a similar method for G3? (Yes yes, I know, they are not the same phone)

The procedure for LG G2 can be applied also on G3, use your web explorer and search "How to Backup and Restore Lost IMEI on LG G2", find the page Droidviews and follow the instructions:
Note:
I had the same problem and solved it with this tutorial. Good luck!

The problem is we can't restore what we don't have. My phone currently shows all 0's for IMEI. I was going to follow the G2 instructions for adding it again from scratch.

Backup isn't needed if you have original box which have the IMEI number, please, read the second method described in the page.
Quote:
Restore Lost IMEI on LG G2
The method described above can help in restoring the EFS only if you already made a backup, but what about those who do not have an EFS backup? Don’t worry, we have a tested solution for you. The method given below has been tested on T-Mobile LG G2 D801 but it should also work on other US variants and International model of the device.
Make sure you LG G2 is running the stock LG firmware. If your phone does not have official firmware installed on it, restore it to stock first. You can easily do it by following our detailed tutorial.
Install the latest LG USB drivers on your computer: Download Here
Now download the IMEI converter tool and unzip it: IMEI-Converter.zip [mirror link]
Download QPST (Qualcomm Product Support Tools) and unzip it: QPST_2.7_378.zip
Open the QPST_2.7_378 and run the setup file to install it on your computer.
Enable USB debugging on your LG G2. You can find this option under Settings> Developer options. To enable Developer options on your device, follow the instructions given here.
Connect your device to the computer.
Run QPST configuration and click on Ports tab. Click on Add new port option.
Your current port should show as COM4/5.
Select the port and click OK. The port should come up on active phones.
Select the phone and click the Software Download option from Start clients menu.
Now click on Backup tab. You should see your phone’s port.
Click on Start to initiate backup.
Now navigate to C:/ Program Files/ qualcomm/ qpst/bin folder.
Run RF_NV_Manager.
Click File> Read from phone. Your phone’s IMEI number should appear on number 550; NV_IMEI_I
If you do not see item 550, do not panic.
Click on File> Read supported RF NV items.
Click on item 550. You would see 9 blank fields.
Now run IMEI Converter.exe.
Now type your phone’s IMEI in Enter IMEI field. You can find your IMEI on your phone’s bill or the box your device came in.
Then click on <Convert IMEI> button.
You should see 18 digits in groups of 9.
In RF_NV_Manager program, click on Hex by Write NV button.
In the 9 boxes, type in the numbers from IMEI converter starting from left. Type in first group of two numbers in the first field, then go to the next field and type in second 2 digits.
When you are done with doing this, click on Write NV option.
Then click File> Read from phone.
Item number 550 should appear now.
Disconnect the USB cable and reboot it.
Open phone’s dialer and dial *#06#. You should see your phone’s IMEI now.
Unquote.

Even if it was a vs985 nvm file, the IMEI would be wrong right? So thats not the best situation to be in either. Thanks though!
My phone still works oddly enough with all 0's unlike what others are reporting. I do have a baseband still, so maybe thats why. I just can't update ota due to "Phone not registered" probably due to an invalid IMEI.

Thank you, that is actually what I wanted to do, but I am on my work computer (a Mac). If I try it through virtualbox, I can't get the usb device to mount and there is no way to eject the phone from OSX and get windows vm to pick it up. So I will have to try at home.

The best, most costly and most legal way is to have a new motherboard installed.
BTW posts about tampering with and altering IMEI numbers is illegal and most unappreciated on XDA, if a mod sees this he`ll close this thread immediately and maybe more. Seen it before guys.

Hi guys
Recently i bought my girlfriend LG G4. Now I think it's from Singapore, and I totally have no idea, how to update it. I have 5.1 now, and of course I wanna 6.0. Using automatic option from smartphone still showing "up to date". LG bridge is finding some firmware, but after downloading, at 1% i got error. LG UP always saying, that's bad kdz file ( I download 4-5 of them). When i'm trying to check version by IMEI on devtester, I get nothing. I have no clue what could i do next .

By carrier, I mean the wireless company that provides the phone/texting services to your phone ... if the phone wasn't bought from the original services company.
If it was, the other option might be to try a factory data reset to see if it allows the update to 6.0 to come through automatically - you will have to back all your data first, otherwise you will lose it.
PS: Don't forget to click the Thanks button ...

Tell him to flash the H815 European firmware... it will not do any damage because the OS has the same signature across all variants, so the bootloader will accept.

Tell him to flash the H815 European firmware... it will not do any damage because the OS has the same signature across all variants, so the bootloader will accept.

Read somewhere that LG flash tool working only with 5.1, not 6.0. About version - except 20b, i have also european so if first will work, i'll next . I know that i can't root phone with 6.0 but first of all - it's for my girlfriend and i think, that she don't care. Second - with quite long history with android, i never rooted any of them. I never saw a reason and also i'm bit scared when we're talking about more complicated actions . Anyway, thanks for advice. We will in next 5 hours if i finally get 6.0 on this phone

I recommend you root the device, then unlock the bootloader.

You're lucky you have the European version.. you have no idea how much hassle I went through to get that version...
So anyways, since your bootloader is unlockable, I recommend you unlock it first, prior to flashing anything mentioned by sdembiske.
I recommend you also root the phone and install TWRP, just incase something goes wrong while flashing, you can easily recover the phone, and not have it completely destroyed.
Once you have rooted, unlocked bootloader, and installed TWRP, you can safely do literally anything on the phone
Flashing the rom can easily make your 700USD device worth 0, within seconds... so Please .... take the precautions.... and install TWRP
Cheers

Even some of the LG G4 variants with locked bootloaders are rootable...... your variant is DEFINITELY rootable

LG Flash Tool has many more bricking issues than LGUP-NEW. If you ever decide you want to roll-back to 5.1, LGUP-NEW will throw up a roll-back version error if one is present - LG Flash Tool will not and will result in a bricked phone. Overall, your best and safest bet is to use LGUP-NEW.
One note: There are fraudulent sellers of supposed H815's out there and as you bought yours through auction there are no guarantees. To be on the safe side I would check with the seller to see if you can ascertain if he was the original owner and ask where the phone was purchased (what country) and who the original carrier was.
Well it didn't work. Anyway in download mode it show mi LG F500k. It's mean sth or it's normal name for g4

G4 F500k is the Korean version, isn't it??
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/korean-g4-f500k-t3150548
Before you do anything, be 100% sure what variant you have. To do so, please enter the following codes in the phone's dial pad:
*#546368#*815#
*#546368#*500#
If the first one works, you have the H815, if the second one works, you have the F500K ...
Report your findings,,,

Power down the phone, pull off the back cover and take out the battery. There should be a white tag under it - make a note of all the letters and numbers there. Provided the tag hasn't been tampered with, it should provide a good idea of what model you have and help narrow down your search for a kdz/tot that will work. I would still check with the seller of the phone and seek some verification. If the auction site is reputable, you may have some recourse if the phone is not as it was sold as.

The physical label is easier to tamper with, than the actual software. Just go by my suggestion.. the MMI codes.

The member providing you with the codes to access the hidden menu seems to have forgotten that not all codes work for the same models (as he himself found out when he tried once before) - there are carrier firmware variations with locks imposed on being able to access some. IMEI's can be changed by 'snakeheads, pimps' ... and fraudulent sellers.
Frankly, you are lucky you haven't bricked your phone completely by flashing different model/carrier variants and if you had used the LG Flash Tool to install the H815 kdz variant he recommended, you most likely would have. The same member has, for a fact, provided misleading, misinformed and potentially very harmful advice to other less informed members.

What do you mean "if you had used the LG Flash Tool to install the H815 kdz variant he recommended, YOU MOST LIKELY WOULD HAVE" ??
How do you know for sure?? Have you tried it??? NO you havn't tried it, so you have no right to say "it would most likely brick it".

Hey buddy, let's check whether your bootloader is unlockable before you do anything. Please download ADB (Android Debug Bridge)
Before we do anything, make sure "Enable OEM Unlock" and "USB Debugging" options are enabled.
Once you install ADB, open Command Prompt (Press Windows Key + R , then type 'cmd' and press Enter key)
Issue the following commands:
Code:
cd C:\adb
Code:
adb start-server
Code:
adb devices
At this point, your device should show up under the list of devices. If it doesn't issue the following commands to restart the ADB server:
Code:
adb kill-server
Code:
adb start-server
Then, check again whether the device is being detected
Code:
adb devices
If the device is not showing, please check whether drivers are properly installed
If the device is being shown, you can proceed to the following command:
Code:
adb reboot-bootloader
If the device just boots back to Android, then the bootloader is locked, and you could have any device aside from the H811 or H815 European version
If it boots into the bootloader, then you have either the H811 or the H815 European version, and you should be able to easily root, install TWRP and flash any variants kdz file.
Now, if you have got this far without booting back to Android, time to unlock bootloader:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
Once complete, issue:
Code:
fastboot getvar unlock
If you get the message "Unlock: Yes", then you have successfully unlocked bootloader.
Hope this helps

let him try the codes first ok...
If it doesn't work, then you complain... Otherwise you be quiet
You have no right to talk on his behalf and tell what works and what doesnt ok... let him try and see
