As the title states, I am using my Verizon LG G3 on T-Mobile. I have everything working fine on the stock Verizon firmware. I want to load a custom ROM, but unclear on if I should load a VZW or Tmo version. I assume I can make a VZW version work, but I would prefer to run a Tmo version. Is it possible to load a Tmo ROM on here or should I stick with the VZW tailored stuff? Thanks.
The bootloader is locked on the Verizon version of this phone. You will not be able to install any rom at this time
You should've bought a Tmo G3 from the start, its bootloader is unlocked and you can load anything you want on it.

So task just released a new 4.3 rom for att but unfortunately not for t-mobile, so my question is how would I go about using it on my t-mobile phone, since the devices are almost identical I figured it wouldn't be hard, the only thing I'm worried about is the bootloader, would I just have to flash the rom and put a t-mobile bootloader and kernel on it? Or is there more than that?

So I'm looking to purchase an LG G3, however I wanted a unlocked model without carrier bloatware. I'd like to be able to use it with AT&T LTE. IWhat's my best option?

1) you buy the at&t one, root and delete the bloatware
2) you buy the international one
Unlocked is about the state of the bootloader and I thing you ment something else, if you need a unlocked bootloader try the T-mobile version.
I have a Verizon G3 that is unlocked with my AT&T sim card. When downloading device specific files do I want to use all Verizon files since it's a VS985 (Verizon Model #) or do I have to download stuff for AT&T model version. I assume I would use Verizon but I just want some assurance. If anyone could answer this for me I would appreciate it.

If you're still running the stock ROM that came loaded with Verizon software, you would have to download Verizon files. If you're running a different ROM then it's really at your discretion. You can try the AT&T files, but changing the SIM won't make a difference with the software of the phone

So basically once I have it rooted with recovery installed I can flash AT&T (D850) G3 custom ROM's? Thanks for the quick response.
No.
You cannot currently load a custom recovery except on the T-Mobile version of the G3. Even if you could, you couldn't install a GSM phone's firmware onto it and expect it to boot.

I just started using an AT&T branded G3 unlocked on Tmobile. I have no idea if I can flash Tmobile ROMs or if I need to stick with roms only built for AT&T? Someone please clear this up for me once and for all. Thanks!
I wouldn't flash anything thats not specifically made to work with your device. Tmobile g3 has an unblocked bootloader all other g3's are locked currently. Flash something thats not made for your specific device and you may have a paperweight.
I have an AT&T Galaxy S3 (Model SGH-i747) that I have unlocked and am using on Tmobile. Since it was originally an AT&T device, am I able to use Odin and simply replace the ROM with the Tmobile version (t999 I believe)? The phone is totally stock with the exception of being unlocked with a code from AT&T. It is running Android 4.1.2 Kernel Version 3.0.31-1300972. I downloaded a ROM for the Tmobile t999 with Android 4.3 and when I tried to install it Odin gave me an error: Secure check fail sbl2. I really don't like the AT&T boot screen and AT&T bloatware, and I'd like to run the factory Tmobile setup. Is this doable or are the 2 models of Galaxy S3 different enough to prevent it?
Flashing a stock T999 ROM will also try to flash a bootloader and modem that are not compatible with your i747 and may hard brick your phone.
Thank you, I appreciate the help. Do you know what options are available if I want to get rid of the AT&T boot screen and bloatware (Specifically the AT&T contacts book) while maintaining all the functionality of the device? I have been searching around on this site and google and I've been having a hard time finding information specific to this situation.
You could try a custom ROM but before flashing anything, it's a good idea to verify your bootloader and modem version.
If you are running an old bootloader and modem, you'll have to decide if you want to upgrade to use the latest custom ROMs or stick with your current bootloader and modem.
