It certainly is a good price and it also ships from CHINA.

I've heard horror stories, but I've never had anything from China take longer than 2 weeks to get here - most only take a week. I've had my N7 since launch. Bet you have had yours for a while too. So if you were in that much of a rush, you would have purchased on long ago. Suck it up Sally and just wait the two weeks.

HTC One X for $629 at DailySteals! Just for a day!

Hey guys, you have to check this out - http://mobile.dailysteals.com/
Wow, I never expected DailySteals to have something so new to offer... and the shipping is only $4.99??
I just hope it's not some seller selling a fake version of it, but DailySteals is pretty good at refunding on items not matching description.

Their service is good. Phone will come brand new and stuff but it'll take a while to reach you. Shipping takes a lot of time with DS.
Yes, I agree. I bought a 32gb SanDisk Micro SD last year. Received a generic brand Micro SD instead. They offered me a full refund to return it, or keep it and receive a 50% credit. After testing the SD card, the storage was 32gb as what it claimed, so I kept it and got the 50% credit.

They're a legit company. I bought my Gnex to them last month but the shipping might, it takes 6 days before they ship it.
Hey do you think HTC one X is much better than Gnex?
if it's good I'll sell my Gnex and buy the one X.

depends if your tight on cash or anything......
It's a great phone, definitely better hardware-wise. Not sure if it justifies the cost over a Galaxy Nexus though. User experience will be fairly similar as in smooth throughout. Galaxy Nexus obv has the edge in ROMs and development, will get Jellybean sooner etc...
Battery life is worse from what I'm seeing, but camera etc...are better. Still, the camera isn't the best out there surprisingly.
Great phone if your in the market for a new one, but IMO not really justifying the switch to it from a Gnex.

That's the thing i'm rethinking to buy it becasue of the battery... i think I'll just hold on to my money for now...

Is the new one equal?

Is the new substitute note 7 equal in battery length, performance, fast charging time that the defected ones?
Yes.
why wouldnt it be ?
Great thank you
It's actually better
They didn't have time to reengineer anything based on how fast replacements were dispatched. They had multiple battery cell suppliers and only one had a manufacturing issue. So new phones are exactly like the old phones with the exact same battery but the battery is from a non-affected supplier. My only concern is QC with Note7's whizzing down assembly lines at break neck speed to get replacements in people's hands quickly.

Well there is some kind of firmware or motherboard issue that is far more widespread than exploding batteries. Hope they've managed to sort that because it bricked my first one and many other peoples too. I spoke to a Samsung Cs rep a couple of weeks ago and they seemed well aware of the issue.

they aren't pushing them out that fast to be honest, my new phone was made on the 28th of last month, so it seems they knew what of the stock on hand was safe and have since used that to help get the stock out faster. considering I have a new phone with the now green battery and it was made before the recall even happened, so you have to assume Samsung could narrow it down on a phone by phone basis, but instead to make people feel safer and to try to stop the false claims just pulled the lot back in.
Ordered a note 7 through Verizon the other day. Nervous now after reading all the lag issues. Sounds like a real crappy phone tbh.

My own personal experience. People I've spoken to on XDA with the same. Some havent bricked completely but just reboot or turn themselves off completely.
http://www.techtimes.com/articles/1...rs-report-bricking-crashes-and-boot-loops.htm
That article is from the 30th august. I think before the recall. They knew about this issue because the Samsung support rep told me they did. In my opinion this definately had something to do with the recall as well as the batteries.
Having used my replacement since the 12th September I can confirm the battery is still 3500mah and charges just as fast as the boom boom version....
And the charge lasts just as long as well.

There's no huge lag problems. I have zero lag issues. This is the best phone made to date. You can go crazy reading about a multitude of "problems" on website forums for any phone or tech device (or any product that you can buy for that matter), that's the nature of forums - mostly complaints posted. Overall the phone is awesome, best tech on a smartphone to date overall that you can buy.
I have two ATT variants and both originals and replacements have been perfect.. I have no lag issues and am very happy with the phones.. Best phones i've owned actualy...
I experienced some lag on the last one I had, but it got better over time and I stopped paying much attention when the recall was announced. I do think the new one I received yesterday is running faster, but that could be the update that came OTA this morning squashing some bugs.
Well, that makes me feel a bit better. My note gets here tomorrow. I cancelled my amazon orders for a case and screen protector since once those ship I can't get a refund. I'll play around with it for a few days before ordering stuff for it. I hope I love it because I must get rid of this s6. I hate it so much. My battery has gone bad and I only get 2 and a half hours sot.
If you're not a fan of the Note 7 the S7 Edge would be a nice upgrade as well. Barely smaller than the Note, but with similar specs. Don't think there is as much chatter about lagging as there was on the Note 7 upon release. I'm falling back in love with the phone since the update and hope this feeling continues!

Still worth buying?

I'm wanting to get a bigger Android tablet, and while the Nexus 9 exists, I just hear horror stories about it. That said, the Pixel C seems very hard to find and pretty expensive, so is it still worth getting, and if so, where in Canada can I find one (used is fine) for a decent price?
I really like my Pixel C. But is it worth it at current prices? I'd say no, not by a long shot. It's two years old. You can get a Galaxy Tab S2 or S3 for much less. You can get a giant Windows tablet and install Android.
In fact, if people are actually paying $500-600 for these things then maybe I should sell mine.
Yeah, the only Pixel C's I see on Kijiji around me are $500-600 CAD, Nexus 9's go for around half that
I have had mine for less than a month and I am already looking for a replacement. I dont like it.

Personally, I'd wait until the pixel/xl launch in case of any surprise announcements. If they say nothing, I'd be worried for the future of android tablets.
I'm kind of hoping for something to come of the chrome OS/Andromeda/fuchsia OS rumours in tablet form.
Well I ended up getting it, love it so far!
It was just so heavy vs my Samsung. If I drop this on my dog he will die ..lol
I was about to start a thread asking pretty much the same thing. I'm soooo done with other companies skins and such, and I want stock Android on all my devices. Soooo, I was looking at the pixel c, but it IS 2 years old, and the cheapest I can find it is the google store where it's $600... I would def get it if it were $300. But, like you all said, there are no tablets that are worth a crap! I really hesitate to buy another Samsung, because my note 10.1 2014 battery went to crap barely AFTER the warranty expired of course... So, I've had the $550 tab for 3 years with a battery that makes it so I can't hardly do anything on it. Games, even Chrome are out (I can literally watch the battery drain). The new pixel chromebook starts at $1000, so that's out too. Not sure what to do here! Does anyone know how long the pixel c will get Android updates for? I suppose that might sell me or turn me away.

I love it, too.
So, I contacted Google support to ask about OS/security updates. Looks like Oreo is the last OS update this tab will get. Security updates will continue for 18 months AFTER they finally remove the tablet from the Google store. Sooo, considering that, I just don't think I can bring myself to spend $600 on a two year old tablet that will not get anymore Android updates... Honestly, at two years old, this tablet is in no way worth $600! I would think the price should be more like $300 or so by now. Not sure why Google thinks they should charge that... Anyway, thanks anyway. I think I'm out on this one.

I'm still a fan here too, got one (64GB) off Swappa for just under $400 I think that is fair. But IMHO I agree $600 is quite a bit much, $400-ish is fair.
It is still a very nice device, and has stock google android, try that on a Samsung or ASUS, not gonna happen. Good luck even getting to 7.12 on those.
You can buy it on eBay. There is a pixel c selling with keyboard and case fore $380 right now. Buy it
I'd say yes! I got mine for $360 on eBay in December. I got a really nice case for only $15. Especially now that we have a RR ROM for Oreo, it totally rocks!
I just picked a 64G one w/ keyboard up 2nd hand off of ebay for a little less than $500. Probably still too much to pay, but I didn't want to go Samsung, so what are you gonna do? Worlds better than my aging nexus 9. Worth it in my opinion.

Defective Screen !!

Just unboxed OnePlus 5T and was greeted by defective screen. First I thought it to be the screen guard, peeled it off. Still the same. Reset the phone, still same. Updated OTA, still the same. Finally registered for a return.
What the **** is wrong with quality teams these days !!
These vertical lines are not so visible in full white bright background, but annoyingly visible in dark colored background or just by reducing brightness. I never thought even OnePlus will go this low with quality check.
RIP. And now you can talk with them for maybe a Christmas gift.
what the hell.... hope i don't get that.
return it
Has anyone else got the above issue.

I don't think its a general thing. This is my third OP device and I never had bad experience with OP except this time.
It seems to be a **** on the part of quality check.
We complained to Amazon yesterday night and this morning they sent a technician to inspect it. He registered a case for return in 5 minutes. But the problem is, the seller in Amazon saying they don't have stock so can't replace. So my wife had to argue with Amazon folks since we have prime membership and we bought with early access, spoke with higher management from customer care side, and "maybe" they will replace it. We made it clear that we don't want refund but a replacement.
The phone is brilliant by the way, the face unlock is SO FAST that for a moment I thought there is no lock on the screen !!
Plus the anodized aluminium build is so damn premium that I could actually lick the phone !! :silly:

Amazon has extremely good customer support in India to be very honest. They are always fearful about loosing market share over here and they do everything they can to keep it fluid. I'm getting a replacement on Monday BTW.

Amazon has great customer service in the USA also. I’ve only had 1 very smalll problem in 5 years. I ordered a “Used Like New” Pebble Time Watch from a third party seller, for $.01. I never received the watch. I contacted Amazon and they said that there was nothing they could do. I didn’t care, it was only a penny, and I would have been more surprised if I would have received it. I have never had a problem with customer service when ordering electronics that are sold and shipped from Amazon.
I got my 5T yesterday and everything is perfect..
Wow that's unlucky I hope there's no many been sent out like that!
I've sold my op5 today and nipped to my o2 store and grabbed a 5t so far so good much quicker than ordering from oneplus I had a crap experience last year from oneplus in buying it early and receiving it ate.

Me too. I haven't found one thing wrong with mine. The screen is great, no blue color shift like on the Pixel 2 XL.
It doesn't seem to be a problem across buyers.
Seems to be an isolated issue.

Mine isn't quite like yours, but I've got some strange brightness "bands" on my display mostly visible on grey screens.
It won't let me upload a photo...

Lol every launch has issues. It's early adopter price. IPhone x had the same issues with amoled but they had worse issues. On a phone that costs twice as much. We have to remember it's half the price with most of the features in a package that looks of say way better. Do an rma and get a new one, hopefully get a fixed phone

Worth Buying?

Hi,
I love this watch, build quality, specs etc. But is it worth buying it today almost 2 years after its release date? A new one cost a little bi more than $200.
I know google stopped supporting and Oreo isnt comming, how big of deal is that? If so, is it likeley that a ROM will come?
Yes it's worth buying even after two years,I would happily buy it again

No. Android Wear is not open source which is why you don't see Lineage OS or anything like that on any watches. The only hope for oreo on this device is if someone can get the HW 2 firmware working on the HW once its oreo update is pushed. It's a long shot but not unprecedented since someone got the Android Wear 2.0 (nougat) firmware from the Lg G watch R working on the regular G watch. I think those watches were much more similar hardware wise though than the HW is to the HW 2.

Still have or 40% left when I put it on the charger at night. I have not really noticed any reduction in battery time.
I bought mine last week as a replacement (finally!) of my Samsung gear 2 neo. I absolutely love this watch. I have had a lot of compliments on how it looks, and when I took it to a jeweler to get a couple of the links taken out the shop owner said he was really impressed and had me e-mail him a link to get one for himself. I will have to get another band before I run with it though.
I bought this watch three days ago and could not be more pleased. Very good construction quality, excellent materials, very well designed because it is not sporty or very formal. I knew I would not receive more updates from Goggle, but I still did not hesitate to buy. At the moment I am very satisfied. The watch does everything I was looking for in this type of equipment.
Only complaint is screen burn-in as I have it on all the time. Otherwise still looks good, and I still get compliments.

I haven't had burn in issues. To answer the OP's question, this is probably the best Android Wear watch you can get in terms of features and yes it's still worth buying. The newer watches are good (zen watch 3, Huawei watch 2... etc) but some lack some feature than the Huawei Watch 1 has.
This is the most 'watch like' smart watch you can get - it has all the features you need and looks good. I am always getting asked about it... no one believes it;s an 'old' model!
I just bought mine locally. I got a good price and was blown away when the guy I bought it from opened the box and I saw how beautiful it was. I have a gear s3, but needed something to where when I'm dressed up and this watch fits the bill. Battery life is better than my Gear S3 by far. I don't care about upgrading to Oreo. The watch does everything that I need it to do and looks great to boot.
Totally worth it. My first one broke in March. Decided to get the s3 frontier to replace the Huawei. But it just wasn't the same. I still needed a classy non bulky watch when I dress up. So bought I replacement huawei around December of last year. Got it used and I'm so glad to have this watch again. Very classy looking. I've always received compliments then and I still do now. S3 not once did I get any compliments on it and in my opinion it is too bulky for long sleeve and jackets.
