Hey people
I want to stop my lock screen and home screen from auto rotating without affecting the per app settings.. For example YouTube.
Is there a way to do it?
Thanks
Dekel
I use Rotation Manager app from the Play Store. It allows you to set individual rotation settings for almost any app, including the LG Home Launcher. Install it and set "Home" and "Lockscreen" to vertical only.

I did not know this app existed and I have always wanted to rotate the stock homescreen and lockscreen. THANKS!!
The lockscreen and homescreen shouldn't be rotating without any mods. Lockscreen rotation is an option in Tweaksbox so make sure that isn't activated if you have that. If you have Tweaksbox, you also can unlock the LG menu that contains the settings that allow for landscape homescreen.

It's disabled in tweakbox.
It could be because of the all weather mod I installed...

EDIT: An alternative home launcher must be installed to take advantage of the "Activities" option. I have LauncherPro installed.
This is a simple workaround for those of us who have had a problem with the World Clock disappearing from the app drawer...I have attacthed the apk if you can't find it on your system!
First-Verify that Htc Clock is installed by performing a Google search with the search soft key (This is the only way it will work)...

Second-Long press any home screen and tap shortcut...
Third-Tap Activities (It may take a few seconds to load)...
Fourth-Tap Clock...
Fifth-Tap WorldClockTabControl...
Sixth-Place Clock Shortcut on any screen and enjoy

I don't think it's ever been in my app drawer. You get to it by tapping on a widget on the homescreen.
And for your workaround, you need LauncherPro installed. It does not have to be the launcher you are using. The "activities" is a LP feature, not a sense one.
I've only had this phone a couple of weeks but I remember when I first got it there was a shortcut in the app drawer....however, a few days later i recieved and OTA so maybe that's why it disappeared. Either way, this may help someone find a quicker way to get up for work in the mornings
Please read the second part of my post. You left something out of your instructions.
oops....your are very correct. forgot all about that part
This method does not work for me (the apk fails to instal). Does the phone have to be rooted?
I messed up again. Wrong apk. Bear with me, I'm still learning. Lol
I'm away from my computer for the nxt couple of days, send me a pm and I'll email you my old desk clock to use untill I can post the correct apk.
In the meantime you can always access deskclock by tapping the time on clock widget

I discovered an app that allows the home screen to work in landscape mode, as well as the dialer and most apps. It does cut off the labels on some of the icons, and make widgets sized a bit odd sometimes, but for the most part it works and is AMAZING if you want to HDMI out through a MHL cable and would like it to stay landscape locked while mirroring.
The app is called "Orientation Lock" by "coin soft" and is available for free download via the android market. It does not require root.
I thought i'd share this because I've seen people ask if there's any way to run home screen in landscape and I always just see people reply with "install a 3rd party launcher" so I thought i'd share the solution for people who'd like to stay on TW. Another note is that this works across most ROMS that are TW based I've tried it on stock, stock telus, dabomb v1.0, and have even since installed a 5 icon dock mod, which does not make this method not function, but does hide the 5th icon while in landscape mode. This method can also be used to view your app drawer in landscape as well. If you have any apps you'd like to mirror via MHL cable in landscape but only view in portrait by default, wasting a HUGE portion of the screen on your big shiny hdtv, you can force landscape.
Please hit "thanks" if I have helped you!

I've searched for the apk for the adaptive light widget on the I9192 and haven't been able to find it anywhere.
Does anyone know where it is located. I'd like to mod it so that it takes up only one space (1x1) instead of 2x1 (which is a waste of space IMHO)
Other than that, the widget is by itself the best, instant light.

I tried to find ways to customize it but I gave up, there are tons of apps that do the same and can be customized - including widgets that take 1x1 - anyway. I personally use "LED Flashlight + Clock"
You can use a launcher that support widget resize
I personally use google edition launcher and XGELS xposed module
The bottom right gray icon is the stock widget

Yes we can use another app that has the same functionality but all of them have a small delay in switching on the light. Only the adaptive light widget is instantaneous.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find an answer on the forums.
I'm running 4.6-BETA5 on my Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 Int'l.
In the last couple of weeks I've started getting notifications overlaying themselves at the top of the screen, as in the following screenshot whilst the eBay app is being updated:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
This is annoying if several apps are updating one after the other, because it makes the quick settings drawer unreachable.
I've been using PA for ages without this issue so I'm sure it's a change I've made recently - except I can't work out what.
When I first got PA I found, as others have, that Chrome was opening in a floating window so I followed a guide involving something to do with Xposed Framework and the module XHaloFloatingWindow. Recently I believe there was an update to that module, and I'm wondering if by updating the module I've somehow enabled overlay notifications (or whatever they're called). It was some time ago that I first messed with Xposed and I cannot find the original guide I used to mess with the floating window thing.
So, is it possible to turn off this overlay style of notification?
Thanks.
Chris
It's called Hover. You activated by tapping the Hover icon in your notification drawer...just disable it the same way you enabled it. By tapping the icon.

Thanks for the reply - I feel stupid now! I was looking on the quick settings menu and hadn't even considered the icons at the very top change between quick settings and notifications menu. Cheers!

Hi, I have a rooted S20+ and I wanted to hide some apps from the app drawer, since I already have them in my home screen and I see no sense in having two shortcuts to them. Also, this would "clean" the app drawer a bit.
The things is, I can't hide them. If I use the "hide app" option on settings, it will go away from the home scree too. I want a wayto display them in home screen only. Also, even when an app is hidden, it will still appear if you search for its name in the search bar... Some apps I want completely hidden, from app drawer,homescreen and search. While others I want only in homescreen or only in app drawer. Is this possible to do or I will have to use another launcher?
I used to use Lightning Launcher in my previous phone, but I wanted to use Samsung OoneUI native launcher, since it's native, cleaner and easier to edit.
You can't hide app and keep it's shortcut on home screen same time, sry!

You can, but not yet...
I'm working on an xposed module that will allow you to easily do that. I've already implemented mentioned feature to xperia devices >> here << (Features > All Apps).

Samsung's stock launcher is based on the same aosp launcher on which xperia is (com.android.launcher3 - well modified, I gotta say).
Stay tuned (no eta)!
Ok, thanks anyway. I am using the Lightning Launcher again, for now. It's a very good launcher anyway.
