It has been cloudy and raining for the last 3 hours yet my watch face made thru facer still says CLEAR.... The battery percent is correct, location is slightly off (but it is raining there also).
Anyone else have a problem?

Yep, very inaccurate. Facer still has tons of bugs unforunately. Here's some I've noticed. Rotation for Calibre's day of the week circle rotation doesn't work correctly. Weather was never accurate. Also, the bug still exists where watch faces don't get pushed correctly onto the Moto360 unless clicking a stock watch face and pushing and clicking back to the Facer face.

Hey! Dev here. Weather data and pushing watchfaces should be fixed in 0.90.01 that I pushed a few hours ago!

I hope my comment did not deter you in the slightest, Rod. I was just providing feedback on what still exists. Thank you for constantly trying to make this app better. It's the main one I keep using because I really love the Calibre 17 watch face that I modified to my liking by two great themers on these forums. Can you explain to me how to rotate days of the week correctly in a circular rotation. What coding is needed for the input. Right now it's ((360/7)*#DF#) - for me this made the Yesterday to appear as Friday instead of Monday. He wrote ((360/12)*#DM#) for the days of the month rotation and that shows correctly as September. Can you explain this further? Thank you.
EDIT: Downloaded your new version you just mentioned. You fixed the SYNC issue, but weather now doesn't show correctly. It only shows #WCCT# - #WCT#F. Also, current weather icon only shows the number 01, so I'm guessing you're still working on that feature.
EDIT2: That's weird! Weather now works...I guess it needs time to refresh itself when you first apply it if the face has weather text.
Just an update. Weather does not refresh on latest version despite being checked for 1 hour interval.

Mine did update, today. We are to get more rain so will wait and see if it does work,
All I ever seem to get is the #WCT# or similar. Weather never seems to update. After reading the earlier comment I left it sitting for an hour to see if it would just start working, no such luck.

The stock ones lol. The dial one.
Just to let you know facer runs as a full fledged app on the match which drains a lot of battery. It's advices you use the regular faces for more battery. You can pull over a day with the stock faces.

I have a slightly different issue with the weather and my faces. If I select a face with weather displayed on it, for some reason it shows something along the lines of -323. Anyone have any idea of how to fix this?
Weather Icons?`
I have been trying to get weather icons to work with facer. can anyone offer any insight on how to properly set up the conditionals and store the images to show weather icons? (basically, just one icon showing at a time, for current weather condition)
I've never had weather or battery percent working on facer. On moto 360.

I had the same experience but on the battery percentage. Edit an existing template and ported to the phone, it worked at first but then was displaying the # tags on the battery percentage. Another bug I find is that sometimes, Facer just hang at syncing and I have to apply different simple faces to get it to respond.

Same here on my nexus 5. Weather and battery are hit and miss and lots of sync hangs with facer.
Facer never works for me on weather. Battery life a little tight but I do love the customizations!
Yeah Facer weather has never worked for me. I just get all the animations overlapping and -- for the temp or location. A shame as there are some really lovely looking faces out there. Battery and of course time work well otherwise. Tried all the known fixes...

I keep checking Android Police and Droid Life for info, but nothing yet. I see the card description in the settings menu has changed from show/hide, to watch face dependent.
Just got it and the watch is forced to reboot, kind of interesting.

I updated to the newest firmware on the watch yesterday. When I downloaded the Wear update today I noticed the watch reboot and figured it had crashed. Then I saw the note in the Wear app.
Installed it thanks for link.
But anyone can tell me what is the new change is " This update adds a 'Card preview' setting which can be set to "None" or "Watch face sets card preview."
I test it but do not see difference.

ok I figure what it is. And it is the setting I really need after recent OTA. After OTA on change is you can keep the notice card by swap down. It is nice but the problem is if you not aware income notice at first place after screen off the notice will automatically hide. Next time when you turn on screen you will not find any new notice unless you swap up. Or you will get old notice when new is coming.
It make me missing lot of notice. So if you setting as NONE, it will behavior like this, but setting another item, you get old way how notice show.
It is perfect now we can have choice for what we like.
Yep it rebooted mine too, and I was on the newest firmware. Wonder what its upto?
The watchface dependant preview is in preparation for the 2.0 update. The watchface API will allow developers to make a few settings, including how to display the preview cards (size, opacitiy, whether or not at all, etc)

There's no need for a tool, the watch face developers can set these in their watch faces. So Facer for example will either have a global setting or a per-face setting for these things.
Dedicated watch face apks will just set these based on what they want or also allow customization via some sort of interface I guess.
What is the new wear card that looks like a green wifi symbol? There is no text. The only option is open on phone, but does nothing. My phone wifi is turned off. Thanks!

Yes. It's something Samsung has had for ages now. I mean Google took the time to create a scheduled system for blue light reduction, yet couldn't bother to do the same with Ambient Display. It's either on 24-7 or off.
The best solution I've found is to put a piece of paper or such over the top sensor at night so the phone will think the device is in a pocket and turn off the screen.

I just got my pixel 2 XL and can't believe google has not enabled this already, it's a very basic item and a must have for many.
Pretty pathetic, hopefully once roms start dropping this will fix many shortcomings on the device.
As mentioned in an different thread, using Accubattery will display the battery level on the AOD. In my brief testing, Google reported the app as not consuming any measurable amount of power overnight, so no appreciable battery draw. Also, there is a root app from an XDA RC that displays the music you are currently playing/streaming on to the AOD. This is different from the existing "now playing" feature already built in, and at the end of the article HERE it says that almost any "text" can be displayed on the AOD. It's not the built in Google controls for the AOD we are expecting, but there is hope for customization for those with root, and in the coming ROMs.

Tips and Tricks: Things that work for me
1. Battery Optimization don't optimize
2. Do not check my lock screen as background. ( helps get customized app color )

Make sure you have the app set to Don't Optimize if you haven't already. I'm not sure why it isn't working for you and not sure what you have for set up.
It is an amazing app!

Turn on 'New Notifications' in Ambient Display and also do not optimise the app.

Mine uses little or no battery at all. Right now I have been up for 13 hours and AOE doesn't even register and I have been getting all my notifications
Use it for 2 days because I thought plus beat not working anymore ( I accidentally turn off lock screen notifications).
AOE working well but lack of feature I want - battery full notification.
Now back to plus beat.

Just installed this and it appears to be working. This is the first app that I see doing what I wanted (a very unobtrusive way of telling if notifications have arrived).
Did not need to to activate "New Notifications" under Ambient Display for it to work. Are you sure it's needed?
I'm not managing to customize the color of the colored stripes according to the app sending a notification. Not that I care too much, on Nexus 6P LED color was mostly irrelevant to me. I just needed a visual cue that something needed my attention if I missed the audio one.

I got it working but it times out after 1 minute. I have my display set to sleep after 1 minute of inactivity but if this follows that rule it's kind of useless for notifications.
Maybe I'm missing a setting?

I wish OP had thought of baking something similar in their OS, when they decided to take away the LED.

Since MIUI 11, a lot of us apparently have trouble making Notifybuddy work properly on our devices.
As it seems like dev of the app has not time / doesn't want to fix the app for MIUI users, I was wondering what was your go to app for screen notifications.
I tried several that don't work either, so I ended using "always on amoled" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.newgen.alwayson).
I spent some time configuring it in the most minimalistic way and it does the job.

I couldn't get S.I.S. to work. I didn't feel like registering for Telegram just for this, so I didn't look very far into it. Building the lockscreen themes stated that it couldn't find certain resources to replace, so it aborted.
I did get Madness to work, however. Since it focused so much on the lockscreen and not AOD, I was a bit skeptical... but every lockscreen clock I tried out worked just fine with AOD, though finding one I wanted to use was a bit time consuming. All I wanted was a large clock despite using tiny DPI text in the OS. There were a couple larger clocks that were not affected/ruined by my DPI settings.
It seems like there's an issue when the device is unplugged, the AOD clock doesn't reliably update. I've heard that homescreen widgets can have this issue if a non-system font is used for the clock. I may have to do some more research about this as it's a sizable problem to have a visible clock with the wrong time. (sometimes off by more than an hour)

The AOD clock is controlled by System UI. Adaptive Battery has never interfered with Android's own clock before. Help me understand what your thought process is...?
I admit that I haven't done a lot of research on the internals of substratum, but my impression was that it did not use an active process to make the changes.
Turning off adaptive battery didn't help.
This is what I'm experiencing that only started after using the substratum modification.

I don't have a Telegram account so I was going to worry about it tomorrow after some rest. The real reason I made the video was to show them, actually.

Thanks for tracking this thread down before I had the chance to look at Telegram, heh.
I tried rebooting without making any substratum changes, then disabling and re-enabling Motion Sense. Unfortunately, it didn't help.
It seems that it takes a couple hours idle for it to start happening. Then once it happens, it will keep happening until the phone is fully unlocked. Tapping the screen will update the time once, but it still requires an unlock or similar(?) to fix for longer than a minute.
Approaching the phone with only motion sense waking the phone will not even update the time, even though it shows the lockscreen wallpaper instead of being dark.

One of my user reported this workaround. this doesn't seems to fix the issue completely. I can't fix this as the issue is not from my end.
