All day events disappearing due to timezone difference. - Zooper Widget General

My all day calendar events are disappearing early. Upon testing, it seems like the issue is that all day events are set in GMT +0 as my timezone is GMT -7 and my events are disappearing 7 hrs early. I tried bypassing that by setting my timezone to GMT +0 but it looks like that breaks regular non-all day events that are in my actual timezone. Is there any way to bypass this? I've sent an email to Zooper Team but after they sent me an email and I replied, they stopped responding.

has been facing this problem since day one though mine is GMT+8. any luck on this?

Outlook calendar items 1 day off

When I sync my Hermes with my Exchange account at work, all my calendar items (namely, holidays that are marked as all day) show up on my phone 1 day early. If I change the calendar item on my phone and re-sync it, then it moves the calendar item on my desktop version of Outlook to span 2 days, from 1 am of the first day to 1 am of the second day. This seems to happen only for calendar items that appear after Februray.
Any ideas?

And I thought I was the only one that has had this issue. real pain in the @$$.
Nope, guess we are in the same boat. I have looked around a few places for a solution and have not (obviously) found one as of yet. I have to believe this is a sizeable issue that affects quite a few users.
Exchange / Outlook
What is the time zone that your Outlook client is set to use? You can find this in your TOOLS > OPTIONS > CALENDAR OPTIONS > TIME ZONE config.
Exchange / Outlook maintain their own time zones seperate from Windows. That is partially the reason why DST 2007 was such a pain in the ass to implement for IT departments.
Also, in your full Outlook client, check to see if the appointment is set as "full day" rather than from 12AM to 12AM or the like.

My timezone in Outlook is set for GMT -5 EST and daylight savings time is checked, which is the correct information. The appointments I am concerned with are the holidays I loaded, which come into Outlook as all day.
Hmm... you could try removing all holidays, sync with your device, re-add the holidays, then sync again.
An easy way to get all the holidays is to go to your Calendar (full Oulook) and change the view to "By Category", this should group your holidays into a single group. You can highlight them all to delete them.
To re-add them, go back to the TOOLS > OPTIONS > CALENDAR OPTIONS > ADD HOLIDAYS config.
Other than that, I am out of ideas as to what other variables are causing this in your case. Good luck.

Thanks for the holiday deletion tip. There has got to be an easy solution to this.
I've had same issue also with "Holidays" date from Outlook.
I was able to solve it by removing sync with exchange server and sync agenda only with my PC :-(
i had this same problem for a while. make sure the time zone is correct and the same in all of the places your syncing. i was facing this problem when the time zone was incorrectly set up on my phone, though the time was correct it was changing each time the phone was synced to my home computer. make sure the time zone settings in the phone are set not to change with the carrier.
Success!
I was finally able to resolve my issue. It had to do with the Daylight Savings Time change, because I noticed events before March 11th were ok, but those after were wrong. That is the new start of DST (in the year 2007). I suggest anyone with this problem visit this link:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/daylightsaving/default.mspx
and apply the patch. Despite the fact it says WM6 is not affected, I have WM6 and this fixed my issue. There is a spot in the article that mentions changing your timezone to anything else other than your default, then changing it back...perhaps this reloads something from the registery. Anyway, I initially didn't do this and my items were still off by a day, but then I went back and did this and it worked.
I suggest deleting any affected items from Outlook (desktop), sync your device then re-add the items and re-sync and, hopefully, enjoy your items being on the correct time and day!!
Even not :-(
I've tried everything:
my phone and my PC are on same TimeZone (Paris)
All DST patchs installes
All events entered few months ago are OK, but if I enter a new one in Outlook 2003 (exemple 2nd July, full day event), I will have it on my TYTN on 1st July
If I enter an event on 2nd July from 8AM to 9AM, it's well syncronised on my TYTN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That means only full day event are wrong
Does anybody have an idea to solve this ?
Thanks for your help
I experienced the same problem : during DST period, all my entries in the calendar on the phone were 1 day before the real date in Outlook.
I solved the problem by setting the same timezone as on the PC.
For me (living in France), my PC (XP) is "(GMT+01:00) Bruxelles, Copenhague, Madrid, Paris" and my phone (WM6.1) was originaly on "GMT+1 Prague,Budapest" and I changed this setting on "GMT+1 Paris,Madrid".
But every time I did a soft reset, the bad setting was restored probably due to the phone operator.
I had to unckeck in in phone settings the option "Automatically change timezones and time" on the "timezone" tab.
After that, I don't have any more problems.
Hope it helps.

calendar issue - reoccurring appts

I have many reoccurring appointments that I have synced up with my evo using htc sync and outlook 2007. My problem is when I go to outlook and just remove one instance of the appt from a single day and do a sync the appt still stays on my calendar on the phone. If i try to delete that appt from that day I get the pop up that asks 'All Events' and it only has the one radio button and will only let me delete all events for that appt instead of that one.
Does anyone else have this problem or a work around for this issue? I really would like to be able to remove single instances of reoccurring appointments. For example - meeting occurs every Monday at 9am but on the the 12th I am on vacation and I want to delete that one occurrence.
Thanks for your help

[Q] DST bug?

I'm seeing weird behavior with my Stock calendar over the past couple of days, lots of FC'ing, and disappearing to the point of having to reboot the phone. So today I removed my email accounts and readded them. Now that they have been readded, any appointments that were scheduled before DST show up an hour off, and meetings that were scheduled after the time change are correct. Meaning the re-occurring meetings that I have are all one hour off. I'm syncing with exchange. (Also, using a third party mail app, everything is fine)
Anybody experiencing this?
I have experienced this on my 1st android device (SGH-I896). I know this looks crazy but you might have a duplicate schedule/appointment. Second, I really don't use the stock calendar for it has terrible issues for me like SoD's and FC's so I use third party Calendar apps like Business Calendar or Touchdown Email...

[Q] Looking for someone to do a quick calendar test

Hoping someone with a Note 2 could do a quick calendar test for me. With the standard Google Calendar all day events with a reminder are based off of 5PM the day prior. So if you have a 15 min reminder for an all day event it will fire at 4:45PM the day before. Does the built-in Samsung/TouchWiz calendar work the same way or does it work like a standard exchange calendar where it is based on 12AM the day of the event and fires at 11:45PM the day before?
Thanks!
Bump. Anyone?

[Q] Activesync Exchange All day event error

Update my HOX to 4.1.1 two weeks ago. Found out one strange issue related to Exchange Activesync Calendar
If setup an all day event of D day (one PC with Outlook or on HOX), Although the event will show up correctly in the stock Calendar App (at the top column of day view, as 1st attached picture), but if you tap it and enter the detail view, the event will show up as from D day 0:00 to D+1 day 0:00. <--as "Test Exchange in attached picture"
Setup a All day event in Google Calendar will have no this problem. When tap and enter the detail view of event, it will still show as "All Day" (as "Test Google" in attached picture", instead of "D day 0:00 to D+1 day 0:00"
This problem will make Calendar related APPs behave strangely. Like Smooth Calendar will show this "All Day" event whole day, even it was setup to hide the "All day" from SC's view.
Anyone has same issue or a solution?
It's confirmed that it's not happened before upgrade to 4.1.1, my other phone (Desire) with Gingerbread has no this problem when sync to same Exchange server, neither.
Thanks!
262 views and still no reply? Anyone confirmed this problem?
Probably just the way the two companies handle their calendars.
Outlook may be based on time.
Whereas Google may look at them as days, unless a time is stated.

Thanks for the reply. However, before update to 41.1, everything is okay... All day event is represented same for both Exchange and Google...
Since it's broken through the system (different calendar app shows same result), I suspect it's in the underlying Activesync code in 4.1.1, not just the problem of Calendar app.

Same problem here. All day events in Exchange calendar show up from 11:00 pm actual day til 11:00 pm next day. No solution found yet.
With Google calendar everything is okay.

Is there any update on this? I've got exactly the same problem with some all day entries (typically birthdays or anniversaries) appearing as starting at 23:00 on the correct day and running until 23:00 on the following day. Phone was updated to JB a few months ago and I only added the Active sync account on Monday. It is definitely an Android based problem as other devices (iPad, BlackBerry) work fine.
Waiting in antici.................................pation of an update.
I have the same issue with HTC One and Asus Infiniti tab The only thing that seems to help for now is to open every such recurring all-day event in Outlook, open the series properties, change the event hours from 00:00-00:00 to 00:00-23:59 (duration 2879 mins), save it. Wait for the phone to sync, open the event in Outlook once again and change the event hours back from 00:00-23:59 to 00:00-00:00 (duration 1 day). Wait for the phone to sync, everything is OK then. Little tiresome workaround, but at least it works. What is interesting it is definitely Android issue, because all my devices with Android 4.1+ have the same issue. I think it is somehow related to time zone issues. The other trick is to remove problematic event and create it directly from the phone's calendar app.
