[Q]Removing Apps Installed By Default - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Since no one replied to me n another thread i'll try to find some help in the Q&A section.
A few weeks ago i downgraded a stock fw and went back from V10f to V10a. Everything ran smoothly but after the reboot my phone installed several apps on it's own. These are apps from another carrier or different app stores with another language.
I tried to remove these apps with Titanium Backup and tried factory reset several times but nothing worked out for me.
I'm lost because some of these apps interfere with apps i downloaded on purpose.
Is there any other method to remove everything,
Sry but i cant hold my tears back, dont want to send my LG back

Have you tried flashing a stock KDZ with LG Flashtool? use CSE mode and you will be wiped back to stock for 100% sure.
Edit: on second thought if you're rooted you should have no trouble removing those apps, did you try to manually remove them from /Data>App etc directory?

Upgrade to 1.32.651.6 failing

Everytime I try updating my phone OTA it starts and then it fails by showing a picture of a phone and a question mark above it. My phone is rooted I rooted it following a video on youtube by zedomax. But I guess it didnt work after I went through everything so then I use unrevoked and it worked. Unfortunately I been getting a lot of sd card errors so I really need this update. Someone please assist me in this.
You can't update a rooted phone using the downloaded OTA. You'll need to apply the rooted update.zip found in the upgrades forum for 1.32.651.6. Flash that in recovery and you'll have the latest ROM with root.
Thanks so much you really assisted me in upgrading my phone. If anyone else has the problem I did here is what I did. I downloaded the zip file from here a post by flipzmode. Just search the firmware thats what I did.
After I downloaded the file I placed the zip file in the root of my memory stick and I turned off my phone and turned it back on while holding the volume down button first then the lock button on the top. Once in the bootloader menu I went to recovery and the exclamation mark in the triangle showed up then I ran recovery-windows.bat and then I flashed the phone from my sd card and selected the new firmware.
Hi, do you have to reinstall all your apps and reconfigure the phone again? I rooted my phone, and I am not seeing any issues with the SD card. But I would hate to reconfigure all over again!! Please let me know.
Thanks.

Unless you have Titanium backup, you have to reinstall everything if you flash any roms. Try switching to wifi, go to your market, and into the downloads section. You may get lucky, and the apps that you have downloaded will be there, but you have to download them again. Being in wifi will speed up the download process.
Thanks for the info.
I use appbrain, which is pretty cool to create a backup of your apps. But even with that, you still have to install, and the worst part is configuring apps (user name and password) and also configuring my scene in EVO (folders, widgets, etc...) I have done this process 2 times and to do it one more time would be a pain. I am thinking if I have to do this everytime I need to update, might as well go unrooted. The only reason i went to root was to delete some annoying apps and to run wifi tethering. I rather leave with those two drawbacks than reconfiguring my EVO all the time when a new update is out.

Orange PL Apps load after Flashing Stock Firmware - won't go away

Hi,
I wanted to unroot and reset to stock my phone. I used LGFlashTool and TOT and DLL from this website:
http://lgg3root.com/lg-g3-stock-factory-firmware/
LG G3 Stock Factory Firmware D855 (European)
Download Android 4.4.2 V10E LG G3 Stock Firmware D855 European 32GB
Download D855 DLL
It worked all fine, but when I started and set up Android for the first time after flashing, it started immediately to install 103 Apps out of nowhere after arriving at the homescreen. See Screenshots.
This happens although I am in Flight Mode and not logged into my Google account yet. And there is no deinstalling them, I can only deactivate them.
Hard Reset didn't change anything. Flashing any other kdz (complete wipe/format with CMS Flash) doesn't help either. As soon as I get to the homescreen after setup these annoying 103 apps start to install themselves.
Since there is no SD card, these Apps must be saved somewhere on the internal space. But how do I get rid of them and the command that starts to install them magically?
Thanks for helping
Felix
I just tried to delete all the bloat Apps with NoBloat Free and System App Remover after I rooted the phone. It worked and the Apps didn't install themselves again after I restarted the phone.
But as soon as I hard reset Android, they get installed again directly after the phone setup.
These apps and the command to get installed must be saved somewhere on the internal space.
Does anyone know how this works and how I can completely removed this annoying software?
Thanks
Felix
i assume your carrier just pushes them on your device somehow, so i'd say it's hard coded just like the LG logo on boot
Freeze them with Titanium Backup is your best bet, they won't do any harm thatway, or get re-downloaded
ive seen this too, not just orange apps though, after the flash it installs orange, vodafone, singtel, plus mobile and a ton of others, were talking over 100 apps that just install automatically after reset even with no data connection, i have no idea why its happening and i cant seem to stop it

Phone acts weird after root

Hello,
I read about all the amazing stuff you can do with rooting and wanted to try it myself. I searched for a while and found a program called kingroot. After reading some positive reviews I decided to go with it. I downloaded the program to my pc and rooted my phone. Once my phone is rooted, super excited me starts downloading apps wich require root. After a while I saw that some weird apps where installed on my phone (porn stuff mostly). I decided to factory reset my phone. Unfortunately, when I booted up my phone again I got some weird adds on my home screen and the weird applications were still there. I couldn't delete them because they were classified as standard apps. I downloaded king root again and unrooted my phone. After it was unrooted I did a factory reset once again. When I started up again, I saw that the weird apps were still there. I downloaden avg Antivirus and did a scan. The two apps who had mallware in them were: com.android.system and com.android.systemui. I rooted my phone again and the problems are still there. Right now I don't know what to do. What would you advice me to do?
Hi !
You have very badly read this s4-mini section ^^
There are others way for to root our phone....
I recomand to flash cwm 6.0.5.1 and then "rootkitv2" (after root ,open SuperSU for to disable knox and update binary in "normal mode" => the root is good ! )
Kigroot it's the "hell" ,a big malware !!! The worst thing ....very very bad !!! There are repports who have said that it's dangerous...
And many known apps who need root din't reconize and like at all the root with this method because there are "kiguser app" !!!! It's not the SuperSU by chainfire...
Now you have to reflash a stock firmware with odin method ....and FULL factories wipes !!! .....and root .
(Or with cwm : format&wipes ...and flash customs roms^^ )

Those malwares were installed in system partition, this is why Factory Reset (wipe of Data partition) can't solve your problem.
The best advice I can give you is to flash a STOCK ROM then :
1- If you only need root, use the corresponding version for your device of CF-AUTO-ROOT.
2- If you need root & ability to install custom roms, use Odin to flash a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP) through which you can flash SuperSU.

How to restore H815 like first time boot?

I got my H815 back from LG yesterday. When I booted it for the first time, I was given the option of restoring the phone from several backups which had been made, presumably, with LG Backup. This reinstalled all the apps I had on my phone, both system and from play store etc.
So I unlocked the bootloader this morning, which returned the phone to factory state again, but I didn't get the option to restore from backup when rebooting. Is there a way to do this manually or do I need to do a complete wipe and reflash of the rom?

Why not perform a factory reset??

Yeah I already tried that. Luckily Google restored my settings for any apps I reinstalled, but I've lost a lot of contacts, which should have been restored as well.
