I wish this

Worked on my One M8 converted to 'GPE'. But it says my phone is not compatible. I thought HTC allowed some stock Sense stuff to work on the GPE ? These stock Sense options work on GPE; Motion gestures, HTC Weather, Flip Cover, etc...
Would love this lock screen to work on my GPE too.

Does anyone know how to disable htc sence lock screen and install nexus one lock screen(without rooting my phone)?????
Lock Screen
Try LockBot Free from the Market. It does the job, although the UI could do with a bit of work...
Just a fair warning:
I found that LockBot was a bit buggy when I tested it on my HTC desire (as I had the same wish).. Sometimes it wouldn't lock, other times it wouldn't display all the graphics (and it was impossible to unlock the screen using the screen [home button worked, but that's another problem..])
I now use the standard HTC Sense lock screen (which isn't too bad after all), but they might have upgraded the software since I used it (about two weeks ago)..
Installed vanilla lock screen by removing the htc sense one and loving it. Only problem if when my alarms go off when the screen is off I can't turn the alarm off. Any ideas for a solution?
Thanks

I believe you have to uninstall the HTC Clock and use the Vanilla clock instead. This is what i did to get it to work on the Fresh ROM. Not sure if there is another way but this is what worked for me and after installing fresh 3.2 i havent put the vanilla lock screen back on since it doesn't show the music app when its locked.
The world clock doesn't work well with the vanilla lock screen. You have to download a theme from the fresh updater that removes the world clock and adds the vanilla clock.
yea just go to Fresh's website geekforme or do a search for vanilla lock and he has a set of choices for you
here you go http://geekfor.me/hero/fixes/bugfixes-requests-lock-screens/
So whats the big deal with the vanilla lock screen? Everyone seems to like it so much better then senses. I don't use the music app, so i don't have a need for that functionality.
i jsut like how it looks i like having the 2 slides (one for silent one for lock and like the side to side vs the down.
overll it functions almost exactly the same except for cosmetics. so it is really a personal prefrence
Hi,
As I use a PIN to unlock my phone, I'd like to remove the ring lock screen.
I know how to do it in CM7 but can't find it under ICS...
I'm on Leedroid ROM.
Thank you.
You can't without replacing the lockscreen for an alternative
Hasn't LeeDroid tweaks got an option to replace the HTC lockscreen with the standard ICS one?

any luck?
Even I am annoyed with the round unlock screen.. is there any way to change it to stock ICS (or anything else) ? I am currently on the untouched Stock HTC OneX ICS
Anyways for this?
I'm fairly sure the lock screen is unchangeable on the stock ROM, custom ROM's there is usually an option to use one of the many ICS lock screens and in some cases lock screens from previous versions of Android. As for LeeDroid I'm not too sure as I have never used it, but in other ROM's the setting is usually found inside the ROM Control or ROM settings inside the settings menu.

What custom ROM's are you talking about that have options for the lock screen?
I know that the MIUI ROM uses a different lock screen, and if you don't want to use the entire ROM, you can use the MIUI Launcher app to add it to any ROM.
I too would like to simply disable or remove it somehow if at all possible.
Here is an efficient and good looking non-root alternative

So with the new exploit for 4.4 by jcase (thanks for that by the way), I have root access and s-off. Being as my m7 is still relatively new and I'm not sick of Sense (yet), I installed the stock 4.4 m7 rom. I have no complaints except for the fact that my apps do not want to show up in the lock screen. I also can't seem to add any widgets to the home screen (not that I want to but just seems odd). Anyway, wondering if this is something that I'm just missing or if it is a flaw in the rom.
Thanks

Sense 5.5 lockscreen is different then previous versions of Sense.
You only have limited widgets that you can add to the lockscreen.
You have to swipe to the side from the top right edge of the lockscreen.
To add widgets to the homescreen, tap and hold on the homescreen, you should have a bunch of widgets that can be added.
Everything works in the rom, it's stock, as HTC made it.
Sounds like you just aren't familiar with Sense 5.5 yet.
There are guides online about the changes and differences between Sense 5 and Sense 5.5 that may help you see what has changed.
I understand that the lockscreen has changed in sense 5.5. I have been using the phone for about a month. The lockscreen just doesnt give me any option to swipe in any direction. I can add widgets to the home screen, its just the lock screen thats giving me the issue. And usually if I recall correctly, on the lock screen, there are usually some translucent arrows indicating that you can swipe to add widgets, and i dont seem to have that
Thanks
There's a setting somewhere to enable lockscreen widgets. Been a while since I flashed s new Rom so I can't remember where.

So I ended up flashing a new rom with sense 6 in it so this is not an issue anymore. Thanks anyway
Hi all,
Loving the M8 in general, just one thing that is irking me. I use Nils for lock screen notifications, which basically happen via a lock screen widget. On my other Android phones (G2 and Nexus 5) it was possible to replace the default lock screen widget having the Nils widget as the "main" one.
I can't seem to move or delete the HTC lock screen widget though, which means I can't get lock screens working for anything other than the basic stuff HTC allow.
Anyone know if I've missed something, if this is possible?
many thanks
Mark

Nils floating panel does the trick. Works on top of the HTC Widget,
