Does anyone know how to disable htc sence lock screen and install nexus one lock screen(without rooting my phone)?????
Lock Screen
Try LockBot Free from the Market. It does the job, although the UI could do with a bit of work...
Just a fair warning:
I found that LockBot was a bit buggy when I tested it on my HTC desire (as I had the same wish).. Sometimes it wouldn't lock, other times it wouldn't display all the graphics (and it was impossible to unlock the screen using the screen [home button worked, but that's another problem..])
I now use the standard HTC Sense lock screen (which isn't too bad after all), but they might have upgraded the software since I used it (about two weeks ago)..

Hi, i got a desire this week and am very happy with it. But there are some small quibbles, and one of them is the Lock_screen of Sense. It sucks, because it opens the screen whenever i dump the phone in my backpocket
I found Lock 2.0 on the Market, which i really like. Is there a way to replace it with the System Locker to get rid of the "home button opens anyway"-symptom?
I don't really like Lock 2 as it good some big bugs. (Like many buttons can skip it.)
WidgetLocker is much better:
You can change between different locks (Desire, Iphone and more)
But widgets on you lockscreen. (And do so that you can't interfere with them, so that they don't bother.)
Actually locks the phone, like the normal lockscreen. (or use settings to change what button"s" you wan't to wake on.)
10/10 best replacement.

I love the fact that you can have many different lockscreens with widget locker, BUT i don't like it when i unlock the phone, i see sense then i see the lockscreen i want. There is a small delay in it.
Hey
I got the Widgetlocker Lockscreen for my desire. I also use Launcher Pro (dont know if its relevant). So when it is in standby and i wanna unlock it firstly i see the regular Sense-Lockscreen for about 1-2 sec. After that long peroid of time the widgetlocker begins to start... what could i do against it? My Desire is rooted.

Hi,
I have the same setup but no issue in delay... very once in a while I see the default unlock screen for a blink of a second but nothing compared to your description.
If you use a taskkiller, have you added widgetlocker to the exceptions?
Cheers
B
Download No lock from market and run it. This will disable the stock locker and allow Widgetlocker to run smoothly. Have been using it for months without issues.

Thanks dude, there is still a delay but nevermind cause dont see the normal lockscreen
I realise that the sense lock screen seems to run interdependently from the ICS lock screen. Which means I can disable the ICS lock screen, but I will still encounter the sense lock screen. That kinda sucks.
I have used apps like "No Lock" but it takes ages to wake up the device and is buggy.
Any guys have any idea? I'm not really keen not having any lock screen...
Thanks for reading!
dun think u can do it yet...
I agree, that's just an idiotic design. If I use any method of securing my phone, it takes three tasks to get in:
* Press power button
* Drag silly ring around
* Perform ICS unlock task (face, pin, whatever)
That's just daft. HTC, if you're listening, you need to provide a way to disable your lock screen.
for all there want theres lockscreen gone get
Keyguard Disabler its works on HTC One X

i have tested it and its not laggy not buggy its runs realy good.
This lock screen is awesome and i'd love to have it... any takers? It is the last image in the first row....next to the HTC lock. It is a ring that when swiped reveals your home screen in the center of the ring slowly as you expand.... pretty rad. Not sure if this helps but this lockscreen showed up on my wifes LG Viper just before we switched to Tmo and the Nexus 4.

Hi all,
Loving the M8 in general, just one thing that is irking me. I use Nils for lock screen notifications, which basically happen via a lock screen widget. On my other Android phones (G2 and Nexus 5) it was possible to replace the default lock screen widget having the Nils widget as the "main" one.
I can't seem to move or delete the HTC lock screen widget though, which means I can't get lock screens working for anything other than the basic stuff HTC allow.
Anyone know if I've missed something, if this is possible?
many thanks
Mark

Nils floating panel does the trick. Works on top of the HTC Widget,
