If you're not at all worried about battery life then setting it at 1190 min and max, running with the performance governor would do it.
So I can set the min also at 1190, cool I thought the min is supposed to stay low but like I said if is because of the battery, I carry 5 with me but if there's no problem with running both at Max...thanx

I can't promise that your cores life won't decrease...but that would be fastest I suppose.
Dude I just reboot it running both at max1190 n holy s h I t... SUPERFAST!!!! thanx, I always carry 5 batt n I never use them cuz since I installed cm7 my battery was awesome so I was only using 2 or 3 a day but ph feels good now, thanx I'm not an expert when it comes to all this hacking...I got this far by following instructions cuz other than that I don't understand half of the words they use in this hacking world of phones lol, thanx a lot man
I was wondering if there's a place for beginners to look to start UV'ing or even OC'ing.
i couldn't really find anything that i could understand. i'm not a complete noob. but to phones and rooting and roms. i get lost :S but i finally took the plunge on my epic :]
i'm one of those people that uses their phone constantly. i look at it nearly every 10 minutes. i'm on SRF 1.2 and have calibrated my battery. and i got about i think 10 hours last night to about 15 percent area. i'm using the AIM, and IMO messenger app, also weather bug. so i'm trying to figuare out best settings to get the best battery life without lock ups and freezes.
aanother question i have is, is there any alternative free app for setCPU or titanium back up?
any help would be appreciated :]
is really easy to undervolt, all u have to do is mess with the frequencies a little and use it like u normally do a couple of hours to see if u dnt get any freezes, if u do, all u have to do is pull the battery and restart ur phone. And to overclock u gotta have a kernel that allows overclocking like genocide or vision kernel. All phone are different so the frequencies that work on my phone may not work on urs. So jst give it a try

kk cool thanks. and btw i found the setcpu download :]
also already using genocide ;o

Hi guys!
This One X is very performing smartphone, games are really pretty... But I can stand that battery problem! I've tried so many rom, using setcpu for ondemand governor of the Tegra3... But I still not have so many battery life!
Can you guys suggest how rom, kernel or something else can save my battery?
Generic suggestions about this problem... Now I'm using Jdroid exodized 3.0.3 with bricked kernel v0.2, but battery is so draining... 63 % of battery with 1.37 hours of screen.. 4 h 22 min on it! =(
Hi!
I see a lot of people complaining about battery life, but if you take a look around you'll find the thread where people posted their battery usage. Me - I'm using rooted OneX running the stock ROM and am more than satisfied as far as battery life goes. I do 15 hours with ease. If I try to save it it usually lasts for more than 24 hours. Maybe you could try stock rom + root ... maybe a little underclock? I've been hearing underclock is quite the juice saver.
Hi,
I am the same I have tried custom Rom's but they claim to improve battery life but they just move the tegra 3 powersaving driver into the correct place!
I have a unlocked O2 HTC One X with O2 Rom and flashed battery fix and rooted the device!
Using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1597227
I have managed to setup a shortcut using widgets on the screen to select how many cores I want to use. I find that using one core clocked at 1.5GHz is fast enough and I don't have much lag! This has helped my battery massively! This is because O2 still haven't pushed through the HTC updates yet!
And also using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1630200
I flashed this using CMW and this has also helped.
I also find disabling some stock apps using App Managment in Settings, also using CPU spy from the Play Store and Battery Usage in settings. I can find the apps that use the most CPU power then uninstall or limit their usage (maybe using the internet instead of a dedicated app) this then has the phone stay in Deep Sleep for longer. I can easily get through 24hrs without having to try to save battery at all! I sometimes have almost got two days without charging!
Another tip is in the Usage app you can Restrict Background data over the network although when you connect to your WiFi it enables it again. Although it is meant to help save your Data it can also help your Battery Life.
Hope this helps!
Steven
Thanks for the answer!
I noticed that, in this Rom that I'm trying, I've the Screen that consume a lot of battery, even in the lowest brightness mode. Not using WiFi, 3g data, autosync, nothing, only a lot of text message received and sent. I think that this S-LCD2 consume a lot of battery or maybe the software of HTC, this time, is a loot poor of balance with this expensive hardware.
Do you think I can improve battery life with the tips that you said? I'm using this ROM right now http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1597778.
Setting CPU to ondemand governor 304 mhz min and 1.5 ghz doesn't help me? I must disable some cores? I can give it a try, hope that this tips can be made in this AOSP Senseless Rom.

I'm asking myself [ and you ] if this screen consume really a lot amount of battery... Or there is some problem with my one x... Reaching the 3+ hours screen on is a good result, but in a 15 h battery day life, I hope... Maybe I can reach disabling a couple of processors
Don't worry about the screen, it will always take a lot of power whatever you do! It isn't worth messing with it.
You don't need to mess with the CPU although personally it does make a diffrence to the battery, I don't notice it too unless I am gaming!
Maybe an app is preventing your phone from going to deep sleep whilst the screen is off
Try using this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bvalosek.cpuspy&hl=en
If it says that your phone hasn't been in deep sleep, We need to try and find the culprit. Once you have done this maybe post back and I might be able to help you sort this out! It took me a while as I had this problem but it was definatly worth the effort!
Try looking in battery in the settings and see if there are any apps that are using a lot of power (maybe take a screen shot) and also try in Data Usage, there maybe apps using the Internet whilst you aren't using the phone. This also wastes the battery. If you restrict background usage (only on certain apps) it will only use the Internet in the background whilst you are connected to wifi only. Facebook is a good example!
Hope this helps
Steven
If you don't understand anything please say, I know my explanations are awful but I will try my best! I think I have changed everything here to fit your rom!
The rom itself although you or the developer know this but the overall system could be causing a problem! (just a theory!)

You're too fine with me steven, thanks!
I've downloaded Cpu Spy and it says that my one x has been in deep sleep for 70 % of time, so there is no problem with some apps doing something during screen off. My problem is that when I'm using all 4 cores, without internet via wifi or 3g, without autosync, nothing at all, and screen at lowest brightness, there is still a drastic battery drain while I'm using only Message app a lot. I don't wanna think that my HOX have a fault battery, but how can I test and prove it ? I don't know if there is a program, app or test for doing this thing.
Now I'm with that ROM Senseless AOSP ICS, I will try next charge with two cores actives only and view how much I can stay with that SetCpu settings. I'm using this settings: 101% Battery <, CPU Max 1Ghz to 51Mhz and priority 100, governor ondemand ; screen off, CPU Max 1Ghz to 200 mhz and priority 100, governor ondemand. I'll give you the result soon.
you need to give it time to settle the battery mate. i manage to go a day or two and have like 3 hours screen on time and that is with everything on. if you need any help send me a PM mate and i see what i can do to help you. and i would not use SetCpu for now i am using No-Frills. And switch from ondemand to Interactive. and that is with 1.5Ghz as max and 100mhz mininum

I agree that you should not use set CPU although you are best using ondemand as that is only using the amount of power you need, interactive keeps the speed high to increase the overall speed. (not good for battery life) also maybe, my mothers Samsung Galaxy S2 had battery problems and she got 6hrs of battery out of her phone at max, she always carried her charger around.
I calibrated the battery without using any software, I just fully charged the device and left video/audio/maps on to get rid of the battery as fast as I could and then fully charged the device. All I am trying to say is give this a shot (I did this when I first got my phone) she now gets on average 2days battery life! I know that it can take ages but it is defiantly worth the effort!
Hope this helps
Steven
Also, how do you find that ROM it looks great. I think I might try it!

P.s. Seems that the Leedroid 6 Rom with Franco kernel it's a good couple for battery life. Read this one, post #33 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1648687&page=4
In this Rom, The Jdroid Exodized, I can't try the HTC Battery Test. When I'm trying new one Rom with sense, I will keep in mind to do that.
In the mean time post your suggestions about other roms or other tips for this tooooo much powerful phone =)

Hey everyone, I was wondering, now with MM there are several new tools to save battery, which combos do you recommend?
Currently I'm using Naptime + Amplify, I ditched Greenify just for test purposes, anyone with experience that would like to share knowledge? thanks!
Are they really necessary? They may only improve standby time, personally I can notice about 1-2% drop during 10hr sleep. I'd rather you played a bit with cpu governor profiles.

the most simple solution i have come across yet is 'ForceDoze', which is *very* actively worked on and works like a charm for me.

this is only due to doze though, and with the way doze currently works the outcome would be very different if the phone wasn't stationary during that time

Of course you have to look around in the forums.
@Broken303, yeah actually you're right, I forgot that doze works only if the phone is stationary.
@caifaz, for me the AmanuensisOne wins. But I'm about to apply Blazer v2.5 and give it a try for a couple of days. You have to play with it and see what appeals to you the most.
I'm sure there is a good combination of them. This is a question I too am trying to figure out the answer too.
I'm currently running CM13 and playing with ForceDoze. I'm trying to determine if that should be used in conjunction with other apps as well (ie Amplify), though they all seem to focus on dozing, so I can't see more than one being helpful. I can't tell if ForceDoze is working right or not, so I may have a couple questions for the thread.
CPU governors interest me as well, so that's another source of tweaking.
I think for me, though, the biggest problem is the apps I use are just CPU hogs, and so I don't see any tweaking helping much in that regard.
I've found that not messing with too much saves the most battery for me. I just use naptime to decrease the time until doze kicks in.
Have any of you guys tried the N preview? With the changes to doze in N, is the naptime app going to be obsolete? (Isn't n basically built in with aggressive doze?)
Edit: @franciscofranco would know about this
Hello all.
I was thinking if anyone here had a problem like mine or knows what to do.
I bought a LG G4 dual sim 818p last week.
the phone is great, but it has some problem that i think is software related, and i think is governor problem.
It has the latest android version avaible, original from lg.
the thing is that in standby it is great, i get 1% drain in 24 hours...
but if i use the phone just for web browsing or facebook it heats as hell, and i lose 1% batery in 3 minutes...
no gaming, no downloading and no SIM card in it.
Just drains as hell and gets to hot just for web browsing.
I also noticed with battery gsam analyser that if i use the phone it always puts the all processors on 100% speed and for me that is the problem and it has got to be a bug on the governor settings.
any ideas?
many thanks,
what can i do?

Not having a simcard does phone scans fro network?
you could do factory reset if same flash stock firmware using LGUP.. if its marshmallow then be careful wich antirollback you 0n... also i read
LP has better battery than MM.
Hi,
many tanks for your reply.
I also did the same test with the sim cards inserted and the problem was the same.
Meanwhile I flashed the original rom version V20b (I had the V20f) and althou the problem is not gone, things have improved mery much.
I am now sure the problem is software related with the rom and the way it manages the cpu load and speed.
I am pretty much sure if developers of the original rom had more attention to cpu load vs cpu speed this phone could be awsome and have great battery life.
The thing is way does it need to have 6 cores running on full speed just for webbrowsing? It seems to me they dont know how to control the ammount of cpu cores and speed vs the load we put on it.

You can install V10 Lollipop and heatup problem will be resolved. MM has issues on 818 in terms of battery drain + heatup.
Even I am currently facing Battery drain Issues was thinking to switch to LP...!! But my LGUP does not detect my phone !!! (818N)
from my experience, i've already tried rolling back to a lot of different version of lollipop, v10k rooted+debloated, v10l rooted+debloated, camuix v3 (v10d base), camuix alpha test4 (v10e base), i love using xposed framework, and also i'm a user who loves installing things,it was about 400+ apps/games installed and guess what, it drains my battery 5-7% every 15 minutes without doing anything. and then i tried again using marsmallow, first, i install v20e, but i don't like the UI that much, so i flashed genisys system.img (v20c base) via download mode and disabling some bloatware via debloater. so after having v20c with genisys ui, i install every apps/games i had before 1 by 1, and now, there's about 428-433 apps/games on my phone. after day to day use, i don't really feel too much battery drain regarding a lot of apps/games i had. and also it will go overheat just when playing games or watching videos, it doesn't really overheat when browsing. and about the SOT, it can go up to 3-4 hours depending on network or gps uses, when i use my phone as turn by turn navigation, it can survive about 2.40-3.20 hours. actually, i do really miss every xposed framework i uses before, but i don't really feel so much different. because now in marsmallow, i can use my 128gb microsd as adoptable storage, a lot of CPU & GPU governor improvements, a lot of OOT improvements, a genisys theme, and by using such apps like floatify, fooview, appblock, and adguard, it just feel's like a rooted phone. and one last thing, now i can throw away any kernel or script modifier i've previously used, it was a really really hard time on optimizing this phone with that method, lolz. btw if u need some screenshot, i'll post it

well if you unlocked bootloader flahsing other kernels might have different governors some are foe performance some are more tame... yes i agree why use alot of cores when it can handle with one core or 2.. but thats how governors are some are in ondemand it goes from lowest cpu to highest cpu only if you open a pic.. its less lags but all that cores arent need it.. a governor like smartass v2 or intellimn will use less cores depending on what you are doing.
