my phone doesnt turn on or shows me any indications of charge…when plugged into mac it disables the usb ports saying that some device is using large power so they are disabled to prevent computer from damaging…pls help me
i am going mad without my nexus feeling like i am in hell….
i even tried that pulling battery out then connecting and then inserting the battery but nothing seems to work…i am totally out of ind because i live in india so cant even get a new battery todo something it really hurts
NO USE OF A PC TOOO….THATS simply annoying i feel as if my fingers are cut god please help me:crying::crying::crying:

I had the same issue for quite a time, but seem to have solved it just now.
My phone only charged when the power was off. When the phone was turned on it didnt charge. So what I did was turn off the phone > let it charge for like an hour > than turn on the phone while it's loading.

my phone doesnt show charging indication at all but it seems charging the battery because i have a seperate battery charger where it showed full charge it so weird that battery is charged but phone doesnt turn on

ya....i was having the same problem, but then it progressed to not charging when it's turned off, to finally the battery is just dead and now the phone won't turn on at all. i too feel like i'm in hell.
HELP!!!!!!
Check your usb port for damage, dust, etc
After that try a different usb cable

No buddy i wasnt flashing any custom rom nor custom kernel...my mobile is a comple stockish unrooted galaxy nexus...
so there is no issues of any brick because yesterday to try my luck i plugged my phone to windows pc initially charging indications when the phone is off was displayed but immediately i heared an unplugging sound in my pc and nothing happedned...

if u can get into fastboot mode reflash factory image. otherwise if u can not get into any mode and ur nexus is not turning on, the above link of omap may be useful

got my nexus back
finally after 8 months last week igot my gnex back after replacing the entire board which cost me 300$....no more stockish phone just rooted and installed custom kernel....no matter whichever phones come GNEX always rockzzzz...thank u all whoever tried to help me...btw i dont see a thanks button in ur post....thank u

Suddenly other night i left my phone to charge over night. But after wakeup in the morning the phone stayed same battery percent i left.
Throughout the day i tried to charge it but is still not working.
Even i tried by offline charging but nothing.
I m using original charger of samsung of note 2.
Plz someone help as only 7% charge left

Have you tried a different cable? Also see if the usb port on the phone has dirt on it....if you don't use a case, ports use to get full of dirt.

Looks like a damaged USB port.
Take out the battery and put it back in. I hardly think your battery will be the same especially after you use the phone and it's idle for so long.

tried everything but no help..
Should I take it to repair center?
just ****ed up my gnex charging port..
searching online resulted into one solution that is re position the tongue.. but that too doesn't help.. fml.. just been 2mnth since i bought the phone :/ i can charge only with the phone turned off.. still the battery icon shows its charging when its on..
any help regarding this how to fix this issue.. idk why is this happening if it was a hardware fault then it wouldn't charge with the phone powered off right?.. i tried changing kernels and roms too but nothing helps..
any indian knows where to buy the flex cable.. cheapest or the fastest delivery? ofc free shipping.. or if any place in Mumbai where i could fix this...

Now that's a suitable title for this problem! Use warranty if u have. Else try to fix it from Manish market or Heera Panna.
Edit: The port could just be disaligned watch some videos, try to fix it with patience.

This morning I found the phone turned off, I tried turning it on, but it doesn't do anything! Connected to PC - nothing, connected to charger - nothing, removing/inserting battery - nothing, other cables/chargers - nothing. It's just like without battery. Is there any way to fix it? Is it bricked? Few details about it: I have this phone about 2 months, stock 4.3 with root, locked bootloader, never damaged (falling into water, on ground etc.)

one and only option - flash stock 4.1.2 firmware with flashtool
if this does not work may be your phone is bricked.The only way is go to sony service center and act as a dumb , (dont tell them that you are rooted your device and tell them i dont know anything about rooting,etc..)so, usually they dont have much time and they'll replace you with new handset.

Im just curious, do you place your phone under a pillow or anything when it was charging?

Well, I placed my phone next to bed in a plastic stand, similar to this: http://thingiverse-production.s3.am...20130508-17926-1cqvuvk-0_preview_featured.jpg on bedside cabinet. That's it, I don't know how it could broke itself

My volume up button doesn't work, but I can't even get the flashmode! Nothing happens, soft reset and hard reset, it's just dead.

bro hard brick will give red blink for first 2 or 3 times when trying to switch on...did u had red blink

I think the best thing for you to do is to send your phone to sony. It seems like a pretty hopeless case.

That's tragic for your xperia and as you say you haven't done anything that may cause this problem than maybe it was like a short circuit or electrical surge which fried the phones chip and make it dead because as ansebovi said, if it would hv been bricked than it would hv flashed the led atleast.

My phone got bricked. Flashtool doesn't see it, but couple of times there was green LED when I holded Vol-. Bootloader was unlocked. Has anyone any ideas how to bring phone to life?

Given that it remains connected to PC during the process, the phone would be charged too. But doesn't hurt to get it charged before hand!

the best way to unbrick was as said by mirhawk. if you dont have patience then you can remove phone battery, charge it with an external charger,then insert it to phone and try to boot into flashmode.
