As soulja already said. Boot the phone to the bootloader and recovery. Reflash a rom. If that is impossible to achieve there is absolutely nothing we can do.

it wont boot or respond even for charger

Then it's proper dead.....

Good try the Adb command Adb reboot bootloader see if you can get into that but might be tricky
Edit.... Just seen your last post hope you have insurance

Won't something like this work on that device, of course downloading the correct HTC One M8 equivalent files?
qhsusb_bulk detection lg g2 fix

what dongle i need for it ?

But if the device is not even switching on its a no go right ?

Yeah.
I can recall also reading something some time ago about making your SD Card(External) the bootable one and then fixing the "internal" from there but I'm not sure if that will even work either, was for another device as well.
I don't think a lot of developers/"hackers" on here sat down trying to figure out solutions to a problem that isn't so frequent on this device. I mean, who would flash a LG "anything" on an HTC...
Just wondered if it might work out seeing as it at least "detects" that much from the phone. It's a type of Qualcomm recovery mode isn't it, QHUSB-etc etc
Figured that maybe it is in a "semi" on condition already, it's just that you can't do anything with it. But if it's completely broke then might as well take it into service center for repair. Don't know what you're gonna tell them though @escoda

Yep. From what i know on the htc one x, once you turn off the phone completely (no hibernation mode) and you plug it in the pc it goes automatically to a adb hibernation mode. That's why its in the device manager. So it reads the device but can't respond correctly. But to get a step ahead it's very necessary to turn the device on.

@escoda its not completely bricked yet. Just go to ubuntu and follow the guide mentioned from Brendm14. Like he also said you only need to download then those files for the htc one m8. Most qualcomm devices have everything on the same partition but you could probably examine or the bootloader and the other required stuff are the same partition number as in the guide. If so then you still just need to download the htc files and do it the same.
I dont know where you can get the htc files since I am/was an LG user.

Those files are present on any firmware.zip for the appropriate phone model.

Flashing just a wrong kernel would not do that. Something must have happened that messed with the bootloader.

Help please...screen stuck at logo

Hello
My phone's screen is stuck at opening htc logo. I never rooted it - shall I just flash it with standard stock rom? Would you please be so kind to point me in the right direction? Bless...
My kindest regards
Pete
Try booting without the sd card.
How old is the phone? What happened / did you do (if such is the case) for it to get like that? Etc.....

Tried that before without result...also did a factory reset but to no avail. Phone was just over a year old when it happened, got it from my insurance policy so it's possibly a refurbished one. I can't remember doing anything to cause this...

Ok, enable USB debugging, plug the phone to the PC and then open a CMD ON the PC and type adb reboot-bootloader and once in bootloader type fastboot getvar all. You Need to post the INFOcidnum and INFOmain
How old is your phone? Isn't there still any warranty? If so you may try to contact your reseller, service provider or the manufacturer. If not glevitan may be your hero

Yes, from fastboot, plug the phone (You will see fastboot USB in red) type: fastboot getvar all
sounds like a boot loop?
try removing the battery, once you have done that re boot into boot loader from there you should see an option for recovery.you may want to do a full wipe and re flash the rom.:silly: keep in mind the initial flash normally will take the longest, best to leave it be for a few minutes while the phone adjust to the new settings, that sometimes will seem like you may have an issue, but patience most times is all that is needed.hope this helps.

Well....
1- over a year old bought refurbished.
2- he never rooted. We could assume that it is s-off from the previous owner but all of us failed to ask that question making another assumption that he isn't s-off.
3- he did a factory reset which didn't work (whatever that means with an s-on device / with an s-off device it really messes things up).
4- glevitan is here. If he doesn't know how to fix it (and from the few active members that tend to lend a hand in these type of posts) there may be just a handful who could help out. Hence, the OP is in good hands.
5- when someone messes up their phone without knowing what happened nor how to fix it, you need to give more detailed instructions on how to get it done.
6- I'm guessing that the info glevitan asked for is to find the correct ruu for the member to flash and to get his phone back to working conditions. If that doesn't work, chances are it's a hardware problem.

Bullet point, impressive. now a refurb with s off would mean a root from a previous owner?
"S-ON, which means it blocks you from flashing radio images — the code that manages your data, Wi-Fi and GPS connections. Switching your phone to S-OFF lets you flash new radios. Rooting doesn’t require S-OFF, but many rooting tools will give you S-OFF in addition to root access" So hince my question if attempting to flash a rom ,it would be a safe bet he would be rooted, because without it he would have no admin access, recovery or superser access and would not be able to complete the flash process.a factory reset would normally on a stock rom not result in a loss of the entire stock rom but only a loss off data i.e contacts apps etc. and with these things in mind it would seem to be a safe to assume its a hardware issue or a rooted refurb phone from a previous owner in a bootloop becauce a factory reset there would wipe everything?

Factory reset resets the phone to it's "as fabricated"-condition, wich means it wipes user data and cache on the phone. With or without root the procedure is the same and should usally not affect /system or /boot.
So we have to find out, if the phone is S-On/S-Off (phosphen, more information on the topic can be read for example here, second post).

Sorry guys, but before hijacking this thread maybe you can go and follow the discussion in the off topic thread. The idea here is to lend a hand to someone that is stuck and a noob and this for certain not helping him. Let's keep it clean....
BTW, the only solution in his case is to flash the OEM RUU or make a goldcard and flash an unbranded rom. With no s-off there´s no other way.

i747 Hard Bricked: QHSUSB - DLOAD : Needing a debrick.img

SGH-I747 (4.1.2 i747's please)/ SGH-i747m( If you have a official 4.3 i747m, please post a debrick.img) only:
Hi, I recently hard bricked my phone into QHSUSB DLOAD and I am going to attempt repairing it through the SD Card boot method.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/editpost.php?do=editpost&p=47431259
I need a debrick.img to flash to the SD card in a Linux OS.
I would have gotten it myself but my phone is obviously dead. I found one before on XDA, but it did not work on my device and it gave me an error in the Linux terminal when it should not have.
-snip-
The end of the 3rd boot-loader stage in mmcblk0 is at 77.3 megabytes. If you are going to help out using your device, try to refrain from uploading an image with a different ROM other than root.
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/backup.img bs=2m count=81054925
The count is the amount of bytes. I am not sure if it is meant to be 1000 bytes=kilobyte or 1024 bytes=kilobyte. The count above is for 1024.
I need someone to install the Galaxy S III unified toolkit, and pull the first 7 partitions from mmcblk0 ,which is where the third bootloader stage ends.(Don't upload a heavily modified device please) http://www.skipsoft.net/?page_id=213 Once you get the files, PM me.
If anyone has a link to a working one, please post that. If you want to get your own image to help me, go ahead.
Thanks guys.

I tried to unlock what I thought was a locked bootloader(I could only enter bootloader through ADB)
I found an article that says ezunlock works on all S III's.
It corrupted my bootloader, and my phone gives off no signs of life except "Device QHSUSB-DLOAD not recognized" when plugged in.
This means the motherboard/processor wasn't able to boot from the hard disk, so then it tries the SDcard if it matches the phone close enough.
I need someone to use their rooted i747 to dump the first 77.3 megabytes of "mmcblk0". That contains the firmware and bootloaders. With that, i can burn it to an sdcard in a linux operating system and plug it into my phone.

Hi, the toolkit didn't fix my phone, but its defiantly a step up. Since I'm assuming you have the toolkit installed that you suggested it, could you do me a favor?
It will be a bit easier using the toolkit to extract the partition files. If you could pull the first 7 partitions from "mmcblk0" of your device through the toolkit, it will probably set the next step to fix my phone. (Assuming you have a 16g i747... I don't really know)
You don't have to do this of course.
Thanks man.

What message appears on your computer when you plug it in?
If it says QHSUSB-DLOAD, you are in faint light.
It stands for Qualcomm High Speed USD Download Mode.
What is means that your processor(qualcomm), is trying to boot, but it cannot find proper drivers for the hardware.
It will then look for something to boot from in the SDcard.
Here is a thread on how some other people were able to do it : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439367
I have an I747M technically. I went for an actual I747M image just in case there was a slight difference. in the thread that one came from though there should be one for the actual att device if you look through it.
and just to confirm, yes the phone was blank and unresponsive. showing up as QHSUSB-DLOAD before i loaded that img onto my external SDcard. and I am using the same phone currently.

[Q] HTC M8. Phone boots only in fastboot and I can't do anything (factory reset etc)

Hi guys. I have a problem with my M8 (international).

Hi everyone. I got a problem with my HTC M8.
First of all, I didn't make with it any changes (as unlock bootloader, root or installing any custom OS or recovery etc.) Week ago I left device, connected to PC for all night, and, I gess, with "bad" micro-USB cable.
Next day I couldn't boot this phone. I connected it to charger and after little time it was loaded to fastboot. But up today I can't do anything with phone: I can't unlock it, can't factory reset, can't boot to recovery etc...
I tried to find any same simptomes in google, but found nothing
As you can see on screenshots, I made steps for unlock bootloader but on device I didn't see notification about unlocking.

Could you help me with advices? Thanks.
I'm taking a bit of a guess but some how system has got wipe but that seems a bit off for a locked phone but since it's locked I would take it back to where you got it from and get them to sort it.

I would normally say the same. But the OP mentioned in another thread posted in the wrong forum section (linked in his post) that he bought from Canada but lives in Ukraine, so I think warranty is not valid. It would have been helpful for the OP to give all the relevant details in this new post.
I agree, it looks like his OS and possibly recovery have somehow become wiped, corrupted, or damaged. Not common for a stock device, but not unheard of, either.

Hi
I had a similar problem to you where I was stuck in fastboot mode and the only command it would execute was POWER DOWN and when switched back on it returned to fastboot mode. However I ended up in that state due to making a mistake in trying to unlock and root my phone. Also I believe my display showed the RADIO and OpenDSP details rather than the INVALID_VER_INFO that your's is showing.
I thought I had deleted the rom and recovery on my device and I had bricked my phone however I was able to recover my phone by getting a new unlocktoken from HTC and flashing it.
Once I had successfully unlocked my phone I had access to my rom and recovery.
I see from your first image that you tried to unlock your phone and it shows that 'unlock token check successful' but images 2 and 3 show that the phone is still 'LOCKED' so it may be worth going to the HTC site, get a new unlock token and try again.
If it doesn't work, it shouldn't do anymore harm either!
Best of luck.

Yes, I did this And in consol I saw that everything was fine, but on device I didn't see standart notification about unlocking.
A found some topics about "INVALID_VER_INFO" - and they said that it can be ok for some devices (guys checked this on their worked devices, booted to fastboot and saw the same).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715056 here is the topic about "INVALID...".
btw - I tried unlock phone after another man. He did the same - receive .bin from dev. HTC site etc. I did the same, but from another HTC dev. account and result was the same Phone didn't unlock.
It could be that the recovery has got messed up because I believe recovery is used to do it since unlocking will wipe data. The only things I can think of is a real ruu as in it full rom and firmware exe (good luck with that) or you could try just firmware ruu, riff box or HTC themselves.

I have the riff box but without needed pin-outs (http://i01.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v0/...x-Flex-font-b-cable-b-font-for-Samsumg-LG.jpg I'm talking about these pin-outs). And my previous experience with riff box and Samsung S3 was not very good)))) I had been fixing it during 2 months

Hey man. Sorry but your problem not the same. You installed custom OS and it could be the reason of this. I install nothing. I have full stock device. And my problem not the same with your problem. Could you create new topic please?

Thanks. But my skill too low for soldering these small parts I talked about completed pin-out connectors for JTAG. I tried to find them on EBAY and other JTAG stores, and failed (look at screenshot with these pin-outs higher).
Could anyone help with RUU process? What information I should have for correct RUU update? I found this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173 but I'm not sure that I have SPRINT device.
I need an information, how I can be sure, that I use correct file for RUU my HTC? Is it bootloader version, or operator version (Sprint, Verison etc.) or something else? As I wrote, I can open information about my phone in Fastboot (I can check my SN, CID, bootloader version etc.)

For a ruu to work it needs to have matching cid, guess mid and has to be same version or higher than what's on the phone. You can't flash the wrong one it won't let you.
Edit, also the one you linked to won't work.

Ok. And Can I flash version with unlocked bootloader and custom recovery, for example? (I said that there are a lot of recovery but they are custom. Is it ok for me or I should find pack with all stock?)

Nexus 5x stuck at google screen [Potentially Hard-bricked]

*** The issue is resolved!!! Thanks to xda, the solution is provided in the link in the comments.***
Couple of days ago I got this OTA notification that Android 7.1 preview is available for update. As my phone is rooted I started the manual update procedure. After the flashing was finished, I restarted the phone and then I saw it was stuck at the Google screen. Just stuck, no response. Seemed unusual to me.
Let me tell you that I have been modding my Nexus 5 for about two years. I am familiar with most of the tweaks that can be done to a Nexus device. Nexus 5 served me amazingly. I bought Nexus 5x 3 months ago.
So, after it was stuck I restarted. Still stuck. I will tell you step by step what I did then:
1. Flashed the OS 7.1 again (I dunno why, the flash.all script doesn't work for me, so I always do that manually) - result is the same.
2. Last October update (NBD90W) was available in the folder so I flashed that - same result.
3. I downloaded the previous one (NRD90S) and flashed that - same result.
4. I locked the phone and unlocked again to erase everything (not sure if that's a good idea), then flashed the OS again - same result.
5. Then I tried LGUP and the tot files to give it the factory version. LGUP detects the phone, started installing. When the installation is finished and the phone restarted - same result.
6. Now that I gave it the factory version the phone got locked!
7. I searched google for hours but couldn't find a way to unlock it as the OS is not booting and I cannot turn USB debugging on!
8. Then I tried the default recovery mode (Android recovery, from the recovery screen Power + volume up) as it doesn't require unlocking the device. Wiped the cache and restarted - same result.
9. My phone is detected by the pc and ADB. So, I wiped everything and tried ADB sideload and get this error E: footer is wrong
10. I tried Nexus root toolkit. It detects the phone in fastboot mode, then restarts it and then it again is stuck on the Google screen.
I am extremely depressed!
I am from Bangladesh and there is no authorized LG servicing center here. So, I can't ask for their help.
All that I did over the past two years was the awesome threads of xdadevelopers. So, a big thumbs up for you guys . :good:
I learnt from the web that phone can be hard bricked if a wrong bootloader is flashed. That's impossible for me as I always remove the factory image extracted files after flashing is done from the ADB>platform-tools folder.
Now, is the phone hard-bricked? If it is, what to do with it? Will replacing the motherboard get my phone back? Any kind of suggestion will be very much appreciated.
Bummer. This sounds a lot like what I just posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/help/req-help-bootloop-7-1-1-beta-ota-enter-t3486957

Well, I don't get bootloops, my phone is just stuck at the Google screen and I can enter recovery mode (lying Android with red exclamation mark), from there I can enter Android recovery mode, where ADB sideload is available.

Please say something about replacing the motherboard. It's very very pricey, so I want to be sure -_-
sounds like its hardware problem, contact seller to replace it. if not going to happen, then buy a new phone from a company that does have a dealer in your country to warrant. aside of camera, the specs of other phones at this price range are better
That thought is also roaming around my head, still Nexus is Nexus!
What's the price going for the 5X over there? It's as low as $280 here in the US which is easy better then it's original.

Try the tutorial here. It's little bit different from the original thread ,
as @bardhi92 said, THE MAIN DIFFERENCE HERE IS THAT AFTER I FLASHED THE .TOT FILE, I BOOTED MY PHONE INTO BOOTLOADER AND DID AN ADB SIDELOAD OF THIS OTA.ZIP
Well, for my case, eventually I successfully bring my N5X alive. The tricky part is to enter Android System Recovery (hold Power + Volume Up) after flashing TOT.

Goodluck, and let us know the result.. :fingers-crossed:
A warranty is a warranty, it doesn't matter what country you're in or where the repair place is. People in Canada send stuff to the USA for warranty issues all the time. I'd get on the phone with LG until I heard what I wanted, but I'm a stubborn old goat lol.

if you cant access bootloader take it to a repair shop - you need specialist software and hardware to re-image your phone
how on earth did you do that - you do know to root this device its just a simple zip flashing in recovery mode - no fancy commands or anything required once you have unlocked the bootloader via the very easy to follow guide on the moto unlock bootloader website

If you are using LineageOS all you had to do was just go into dev settings switch root to disable & restart the phone
If you used magisk just use the magisk uninstaller then reflash the kernel
I don't understand why you touched the bootloader partition
