Only suggestion I can give I'd send it to Josh athe Mobile Tech videos and see if their JTag repair can revive it.

Send it back. All you did was install the upgrade and now it won't work.

yea i rooted and all that...i had taken it apart but i did not mess with anything other than take the motherboard out so the connection to it and the internal battery attached to the back side of the screen was disconnected...i can j tag it myself i use to do it to xbox 360's with DZN mods....i got two new g3's coming, thanks to ups using an old tracking number.....i know theres a way to fix it...so me being the type of person i am,i'm adament about fixing it myself...its a electronic device therefore theres nothing someone elce cando that i cant...just need advised...the device is still useable...when i run lg flash the phone gets warm...not hot,but warm...like it would when charging....when i get the new phone tomorrow if i copy all its files on an sd and put the sd in the bricked device...how would i get the sdcard t put the files in the phone?

I'm interested - what was the end result.

End result was he did a boo boo and instead of just playing dumb and getting a replacement he went about this the wrong way. If you don't know then read and learn if you over your head just replace the damn thing.
BAD ASS G3

I ended up giving up on it....but just download the LG drivers from lgetool type it in the search all forums bar to find it...install then go to device settings update driver pick one yourself and find lge electronics and connect,it will say error code 10 device won't power on...but if u disconnect and reconnect the device it should say connecting to LG blue tooth transport ( com3) and also install the LG virtual modem driver from lge tool.

hard bricked my lg 930

hi
i hard bricked my lg 930
how ?
i followed this step
http://www.androidauthority.com/lg-nitro-hd-clockworkmod-cwm-recovery-48447/
(do not follow)
i tried install ClockworkMod (CWM) since i installed the koereean rom and (no wi-fi to install tru rom manager)
is anything i can do for my phone like i'm not able to go in download mode, i can't see anything on screen. black
while i connect the usb cable i can hear a sound like connecting to computer
thanks a lot
We would need some more information to know if your phone is truly bricked.
does your device show up via ADB?
does it show up with B2CAppSetup program?
have you followed the unbricking solution?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1597488
an important part of getting the phone into download mode is unplugging the usb at the right time during a hard reboot with the volume up held.
hope any of this helps but hopefully we will hear back with more info.

first of all thanks for response
no, it doesn't show up in adb (use command adb devices)
i can hear only the sound from computer (exactly like you connect true usb cable) but nothing on screen
yes, i tried the steps but ask to connect the phone, no usb connecting
@Maverick.Marq,
No, we don't really need more info to know his phone is hosed. Basically he has flashed a supposed CWM image on top of one of the bootloader partitions instead of the recovery partition. Everyone should contact these guys and tell them their guide is horribly, horribly wrong. They never responded to my email...but maybe if more people contact them about it, they'll remove their stupid guide.

some update
i have 2 computers
to the first one i never installed phone drivers other then lg drivers
1- in device manager with the phone conected (without or with battery) it's show "QHSUSB_DLOAD" with exclamation , see attachment
error 2 device manager lg p930 nitro.jpg
error device manager driver lg p930.jpg
2 - in USBVIEW20.exe when i open (phone still conected) i have this error (see attachment "error in usb view.jpg" and "usb view qualcomn.jpg")
some udate 2
in second computer i had many phone drivers like sony xperia play, htc evo 3d or htc desire
it's show zeus flash device with exclamation and now QHSUSB_DLOAD like the other computer - see " error desktop device manager zeus flash device"
i made 2 posts because i can't upload more then 4 images
i think to force to take driver for QHSUSB_DLOAD but how can i do that because i tried with propietes, update driver and don't want to take " android_winusb.inf" from lg drivers
i found in adb/adroid-sdk/extras/google a file android_winusb.inf and i have 3 choises (of course, i try to force to take the drivers,)

LOL, I have no idea why you're trying to use Nero, but yes you are correct -- recovery images should be 16MB (16777216 bytes).
That's not the issue though. The issue is that you flashed something to the mmcblk0p6 partition, which is bad.

Hi
Hi Nickmatine,
Could you please confirm if your phone (LG P930) got unbricked?

@allians2002,
Unless he sent it in to be hardware-flashed, it's probably pretty much hosed.
I think I have the same problem

Hi, today i installed android 6.0 on my g3 d855 then rooted it and i tried to flash recovery with AutoRec from google play, but unfortunately it was only for 5.0 so i rebooted phone and it.. just didn't wake up. Now my phone is showing lg logo sometimes. I can't get into download mode and my pc can't even see my g3. When i plug my phone with battery in it pc doesn't see phone but when i take out the baterry in devices manager i see " unknown usb device (device descriptor request failed) " . What the heck am i supposed to do? Searching for the solution for 8hrs and still nothing.

a. yes, this exact blue points
b. just those 2 pins! connect between them, and while they are connected, connect the USB. (you'll probably need a 2nd person help to that, unless you are very skilled with your hands)
c. i don't think any repair store will get to that level, but i don't know the level of support at your country... also, the process is pretty simple, took me about 2 hours of work to get my phone from really hard brick to fully functional rooted CM device
d. i don't know about MM tots... i would suggest using this guide: http://open-freax.fr/guide-unbrick-your-lg-g3/ it worked for me and many others for sure! it provides you all the files you need. just make sure you have efs backup or at least know your IMEI number (which suppose to be on a sticker under your battery)
Also try another cable, 2 months ago I tried it, was sure I did everything correct but nothing...changed cable and boom

yep. this suppose to be the backup i was talking about!
but if you have your IMEI number so everything is good anyway,
you can go ahead with this guide: http://open-freax.fr/guide-unbrick-your-lg-g3/
i'm sure you can do it, just read it carefully before you begin and do exactly as it sais
I actually grounded at a common ground point the main pin is the upper pin if im not mistaken but i did ground to the frame makes it a hell of a lot easier and i used anlong piece of small gauge speaker wire frayed back with about 4 or 5 strands of copper and if i. Not mistaken u must use firmware tot that u were on before brick
I´ve soldered an "connector" to fix a side at ground and the other side a needle to exactly point the pin. "Connector"
And here´s the pin which must be pinned: Here is the Pin
And if you are opening your G3, just a few screws more and you can fix your temparatures: Tutorial with Video
I also reccomend the thermal mod i record at least 10 to 15 degree cooler temps your rite there any ways
Hi there, I'm in a similar situation: I shorted that pin with GND and tried to flash through BoardDiag (I followed this guide). That's a problem. Before I had this issue, I had a fully working stock KitKat (I flashed the tot with LG Flash Tool) but I made some mistakes and tried to wipe through TWRP and to install other ROM (here's my thread). My phone died. I just think that the problem is with the TOT I am trying to flash with BoardDiag.
My D855 is currently with black screen and no led blinking (only QDLoader 9008 mode).
Any help? Thanks and happy New Year.

It's probably not lost, but you'll need to get to work & it is a mild pain in the a** to do so...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/general/guide-fix-hard-brick-recovery-guide-t3132359
Dont mind the sprint variant, just use the proper files for your phone this time around
I brought a phone up last week via this method. The hardest part is getting the phone to show up as qualcomm 9008 & to communicate with it(need the proper drivers and need a good cable). It can be a little tricky, but once you figure that part out the flashing part is easy.
*The method I linked above should be considered a last resort.*
But I thought you posted you can get into download mode earlier, so make sure your computer isn't the issue. Uninstall all lg drivers & reinstall them. If you have download mode/firmware update displayed on your phone screen and it shows up as lge serial port(or something like that) in device manager you should just be able to TOT or KDZ your stock firmware. I believe there are instructions for that in the link as well; if not - google is your friend.

Flash without a PC

Sorry If this is covered somewhere else but I've tried a number of search queries and haven't found anything.
My issue is that I have a rooted verizon LGG4 that has started acting up quite a bit. I would like to flash back to a stock kdz but because of the glitches with the current software my PC will not recognize the phone. I have used different usb cords and even had the port itself checked out and the tech said there was nothing wrong with it that he could tell. So I believe the issue is with the software. Is there anyway to flash the phone back with out a PC?
Thanks

KDZ you need pc.. maybe format or try another PC.
I have tried 2 different PC's. None of them work with this phone but all work with another G4 no problem. I do have access to img and bin files but I'm still not sure how I could use them as all I have ever used to flash is LGUP on my PC and the C promt. If i could just figure out something to fix the USB issue I'd have it made otherwise I need to figure out a way to flash from the phone itself.
Have you tried lgup it is good for these types of issues.....
When I had issues I found that with lgup he best way is leave your device plugged in and pull the battery out and problem solved.....

Does ure pc reconize device at all. Whats it say in device manager.
Have u checked your drivers?
I use the old lgflash tool from lg g2. Also works great for messed up situations.
Also have you tried booting in download mode to see if its reconized. Bad firmware shouldnt affect dl mode connections
LGUp is actually the program I prefer to use and it can't find my device any longer.
The PC will charge the phone and that's it. Current drivers and all but still says unrecognized device in the device manager. I have a couple of g4s that work just fine I might just start overwriting system files with working ones from the other devices until I figure out which one is corrupted.

Bricked LG-D852 ''Communication failed with device'' LG Flash Tool

Long story short, I tried flashing an older version of the firmware because I was having constant wifi issues even with a factory reset.
Everything went well, the phone rebooted with the android character on its back with the trunk open and the progress bar loaded until it froze. Now every times I try to boot it there's the droid on its back with the frozen loading bar.
Then when trying again to flash the stock rom using the COM41 LG flash tool, it keeps saying ''communication failed with device''
Here's everything I tried:
-De-installing and re-installing the LG drivers
-Tried the LG Flash tool method with 4 different computers and I still have the communication failed with device error
-The qualcom 9008 method where you need to short the ground with another pin
-Tried using LG's own tool from their websites to try updating or use the update recovery and it still gave the communication error
I can still boot it into download mode so there is still hope right?
Which is very annoying is that I still have 175$ to pay on it and LG's ''one price repair'' costs 150$...
Thanks in advance for your advices

Which is very annoying is that I still have 175$ to pay on it and LG's ''one price repair'' costs 150$...
Thanks in advance for your advices

By chance have you tried the stock reocvery or factory reset
Also you can try LG Up to see if it works The G5 threads some where has a modded version with refurb options
I was faced with a mjor hardware issue that would be flashed out stock with flash tool Had to use the refurb option with UP

I've found the LGUP tool on the G5 thread and I've unlocked the hidden features. Except I keep having the communication failed issue.
Both the LGUP and LG Flash tool make the same results it gets up to 6% says: ''LAF with a few numbers LAF 567.878.XXX as example'' then gives the failed to communicate with device

Looks like I'm pretty much in the same situation . I used to have a galaxy S4, every time I thought it was dead I would find a way to bring it back to life. Even my other G3 "D851 model from T-Mobile" which I did about the same manipulations in the same goal and didn't have any issues with it.

Yes! That's the worst thing! I can set it to COM PORT 41. Then when I start the Flashing with LG Flash Tool, the phone displays COM 41 in green and the complete name of the .tot file even appears of the screen of the phone!

If you used LGUP that definitely the reason your phone is in the state it's in. If i buy a cheap g3 off of somewhere and downgrade it I'll never use LGUP. lg flash tool is your best option though I'm getting a g6, cause the g3 is old now i think you should upgrade if an upgrade is your thing the i got some good phones on my list. But if you're gonna stick with the g3 then they sell 'em for pretty cheap and if you're gonna downgrade to 4.4.2 kk then use lg flash tool. If you're gonna downgrade to 5.0 or upgrade (not really) to 6.0 then use the modified lg flash tool 2014. All i gotta say is you're phone is done i learned it the hard way

Yeah :/ it'll teach me to stop wanting to crack every phone that falls in my hands. Just to bad I still owe money on it though. I doubt selling it on auction for parts on eBay would even be worth it.
I got the same problem with my LG G3 D852. I have tried multiple USB cables and USB ports. I can get into download mode easily, factory reset just returns to the same problem with a Droid open hatch and spinning wired shape and a bar on the bottom. I have tried LG flash tool and LGUP, but both fail at 6% with a communication error. I think the problem is my USB cable, but that is just my guess. I have followed the guides on the forms on this site, that is the only conclusion I can come up with.
