while i connect the usb cable i can hear a sound like connecting to computer
thanks a lot
We would need some more information to know if your phone is truly bricked.
does your device show up via ADB?
does it show up with B2CAppSetup program?
have you followed the unbricking solution?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1597488
an important part of getting the phone into download mode is unplugging the usb at the right time during a hard reboot with the volume up held.
hope any of this helps but hopefully we will hear back with more info.

first of all thanks for response
no, it doesn't show up in adb (use command adb devices)
i can hear only the sound from computer (exactly like you connect true usb cable) but nothing on screen
yes, i tried the steps but ask to connect the phone, no usb connecting
@Maverick.Marq,
No, we don't really need more info to know his phone is hosed. Basically he has flashed a supposed CWM image on top of one of the bootloader partitions instead of the recovery partition. Everyone should contact these guys and tell them their guide is horribly, horribly wrong. They never responded to my email...but maybe if more people contact them about it, they'll remove their stupid guide.

1- in device manager with the phone conected (without or with battery) it's show "QHSUSB_DLOAD" with exclamation , see attachment
error 2 device manager lg p930 nitro.jpg
error device manager driver lg p930.jpg
2 - in USBVIEW20.exe when i open (phone still conected) i have this error (see attachment "error in usb view.jpg" and "usb view qualcomn.jpg")

in second computer i had many phone drivers like sony xperia play, htc evo 3d or htc desire
it's show zeus flash device with exclamation and now QHSUSB_DLOAD like the other computer - see " error desktop device manager zeus flash device"
i made 2 posts because i can't upload more then 4 images
i think to force to take driver for QHSUSB_DLOAD but how can i do that because i tried with propietes, update driver and don't want to take " android_winusb.inf" from lg drivers

LOL, I have no idea why you're trying to use Nero, but yes you are correct -- recovery images should be 16MB (16777216 bytes).
That's not the issue though. The issue is that you flashed something to the mmcblk0p6 partition, which is bad.

Hi
Hi Nickmatine,
Could you please confirm if your phone (LG P930) got unbricked?
Regards
@allians2002,
Unless he sent it in to be hardware-flashed, it's probably pretty much hosed.
I think I have the same problem

There is nothing you can do. I will sell mine, or if someone need a new screen or something, just so damn unlucky...

i think know where to solder wires to hard flash but it's a very small connector. Maybe 7-8 hours just to solder the wires. If someone know where can i buy the cable for this connector i can help you and other people

the battery was at 2% when i did that. since then the screen wont light up.
i am trying to see if i can charge the battery with an external charger and then put back to phone and try if it boots.. i am pretty sad about it ..

Dear All,
After I did repartition sd-card with rom manager i can't boot my phone. I mean i can't even get to download or recovery mode. I think it also repartition internal sd too. Right now when I plug in to charge or usb even the red light does not turn on but windows 7 does recognize it as QHSUSB_DLOAD, if can find a driver I think I can flash it with odin but after several hours of searching I could not find any driver suitable for it. Can anybody help me with this?
Yep, odin is probably the right program to use
Here's another thread with the same story.
I know but as I don't have that weird driver Odin does not recognize phone. So I need the drivers called qhsusb_dload...
Actually I would only use Odin with Samsung...
I hope somebody can find solution to this problem, that we flash entire phone without recovery mode... if somebody has the driver please post it...
Ya, I have the same issue.
I wasn`t able to find the driver for my device too. Sad Panda!
...seems like there`s no solution right now. I ll give it to HTC this evening if noone could give THE advice to repair it on my own.
Does anyone know why the desire is crashing when trying to use ROM Manager to partition the sd-card?
Well, I think I will give it to HTC a few hours later today seems to me there is nothing we can do about it.
All the drivers that are needed are installed with HTC Sync. Odin won't find your DHD because it's meant for Samsung phones (and even they have to be turned on in download mode). As your phones won't boot to either recovery or bootloader there's not much you can do.
You are right, I already sent it to HTC. I hope they don't recognize that it's rooted. But as it has already repartitioned the sd-inside, I don't think they will try to recover any data and try to understand it.

yes there is a solution: go to your carrier and tell them my phone is NOT WORKING. they will keep you waiting for 2 weeks, then will give you a new phone. i did this and got my phone a new
I don't know if this helps anyone...... I found the drivers for "QHSUSB_DLOAD" but I haven't been able to do much else. If anyone else finds a way to recover the device please post.
Koush confirmed that this was an issue with older versions of ROM Manager and has since been fixed. However, this happened toe yesterday using the latest recovery and the latest ROM Manager. He hasn't responded to me as of this post. A new phone is on its way from tmobile.

The device is bricked. The drivers don't help. The only fix it to send it back and get a new one.
Update: I can now repair the Desire HD with advanced JTAG recovery. If you need help with a bricked Desire HD, please PM me...
Riff Box Jtaging recovery im guessing.
Now i Dont have riff box, but I have x64 drivers installed and working for the qualcomm port, and QPST sees the phone properly. The only thing im missing are the files to flash.
Edit:
If anyone is needing them; Attached are the x64 drivers for "qhsusb dload"
You can't flash the phone when it's in CPU mode. The only devices that can really do that are the NVFlash units that are the Tegra 2 chipsets. From what I know, JTAG is required. And yes I use the RIFF box and advanced micro-soldering to recovery these particular models. The Desire HD is a very difficult phone to take apart and requires skill in small electronics to not damage components. Despite the build quality, HTC makes phones that are very difficult to dis-assemble.
Hi there! First of all I don't speak english very well.
My Galaxy Nexus hard bricked yesterday.
tl;dr no boot animation, no recovery mode, no download mode, no response from computer.
I thought it had just a low battery level, I found it turned off. So I tried to recharge it but it gave no signals, no battery icon, nothing.
After an all night long recharge I tried to turn it on, to enter in download mode or in recovery mode but nothing works. I also tried to connect it with my computer with and without battery, no response, no "OMAP" device found, no sound from Windows for plugging it in, nothing.
I found this thread here in xda, many people has been redirected to it and found their solution to the brick problem.
I tried to follow all the steps but when I plug in the phone and start the .bat file nothing happens, just stuck on "Waiting for device".
The phone is unlocked and rooted. I'm running AOKP JB-MR1 Build 2 and Franco Kernel for a month, never had problems with them, never installed other ROMs after that.
What should I do now? Should I try to do something or just bring it to a support center? The phone is still in warranty, there would be any problem because it has a non-stock ROM?
I've red about a jig to force the Odin mode, should I buy it? (I found this one)
Thanks for the help.
Have you tried booting into Odin mode

Yes, it doesn't work.
have you your warranty on it?
return it and get a new one
It's hard bricked and a JTAG unit may force it into download mode, if you send it in for warranty, chances are it won't be accepted as it was obviously tampered with and they would find out that your bootloader is unlocked and charge you more money than the device is actually worth to fix it.
I don't understand how it could of bricked if nothing has changed on the phone for a month or longer. Nothing was flashed recently so how can you hard brick the phone?

I'm not understanding that too, I don't know what happened. Suddendly it stopped working. Maybe is just a battery problem, I'll try to use another one before bringing it to the shop where I bought it.
same happened to me, but I have an untouched phone with stock android. it worked well for over an year until today.
I see a lot of people having same issue, but they say that when connected to PC over USB the phone is recognized as OMAP.
for me the PC doesn't do anything...
any help? thanks

Try This !!
Arrange a 4 ohm resistor and try to attach it in ur usb plug port of phone ..it 'll force the phon eto go in download mode or say Fastboot mode.
then follow a tutorial to flash any rom..
its quite easy else ping me !!

Please could you explain a bit more how to go about this? I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus in a somewhat similar condition. This one is recognised as an OMAP 4430 device. I downloaded OMAP Flasher, installed drivers and tried to bring it back to life but after running the batch file I get this error: Operation FAILED (Remote: : Driver init error 0x00FF8080 - MMC CONFIG FAILURE). Can the resistor trick work on this and if yes, how can I go about it? I am not faint-hearted; I think I can handle it if given the right instructions.
After I tried everything i could from the internet, I went to a shop and tested to see if the USB is broken - and indeed it was. I replaced the USB component of the phone and after that it started.
Thanks guys

Yeah, the faulty USB port is a very common issue.
I received an SGH-T989 that wouldn't boot. It had TWRP on it, so I was able to flash latest stable CWM. Upon reboot, it apparently became hard-bricked.
Currently, I'm unable to enter download or recovery modes. USB Jig does not work. There is no output on the screen, even when charging the battery. When connected in Windows (32 or 64), I get a usb error message: "This device is disabled because the firmware of the device did not give it the required resources. (Code 29)"
My question: Is the motherboard dead, or could a jtag repair fix it?
What I've tried:
multiple micro usb cables
usb jig
odin
keis
heimdall
Thanks xda!

That would be great! I did see the S3 fix that loads a debrick.img from sdcard - would that work with hardbricked? Windows wouldn't load the usb drive for my phone, complaining that the firmware didn't give the "required resources". So if the firmware is borked, I'm not sure it would be able to load an external img.
I couldn't wait, though. Sent it out for jtag repair :fingers-crossed:

Jtag should always do the job, unless there was physical damage done to the motherboard.

The t989 has great specs, only downside is its PPI (really low) if you still love it, I would wait if you want to send it into JTAG repairs, we are on the verge of unbricking our t989 without JTAG! Looks like we need someone with a working t989D though
I have been studying the other 'unbrick' methods, its definatly mind expanding, the amount of knowledge absorbed can seriously make you forget time n space.
If there is anything I can do / contribute holler at me.
Now ill tell you something weird so I flashed a rom not meant for T989D plus I did it all without being rooted. (if it matters) since Since the flash the phone doesn't boot into recovery or show a bootanimation, just darkness.Yet it felt operational in hand.
Once I plugged it back into the PC all I got was a constant notification of drivers that cannot be identified Also it keeps connecting and disconnecting the device.
None of this is weird until I installed OMAP flash and the T.I. drivers for which was used to fix my friends nexus. After he left I plugged my s2 to the PC still nothing. I looked away for a brief moment . Then i noticed MobileGo for Android popped on screen. Visually showing my s2 as an Alcatel rom.
just bizzare.....
The unbrick method on the S2 is a little different, but in General, at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2646310 after a little work, I resurrected a QHSUSB_DLOAD 9025 T989D to the point of ODIN and fully working Android OS working, just missing recovery.. Hi, so I also have a hard bricked t989 galaxy s2 (tmobile variant) and I'm attempting to understand the instructions. However my phone has another issue...usb connection to the computer does not work, it hasn't worked since the micro usb port on the phone was replaced because the old one broke. If i create the sd card with the image, will i still need to connect it to a pc in order to force the phone into download mode? Please help...
Hi, today i installed android 6.0 on my g3 d855 then rooted it and i tried to flash recovery with AutoRec from google play, but unfortunately it was only for 5.0 so i rebooted phone and it.. just didn't wake up. Now my phone is showing lg logo sometimes. I can't get into download mode and my pc can't even see my g3. When i plug my phone with battery in it pc doesn't see phone but when i take out the baterry in devices manager i see " unknown usb device (device descriptor request failed) " . What the heck am i supposed to do? Searching for the solution for 8hrs and still nothing.

a. yes, this exact blue points
b. just those 2 pins! connect between them, and while they are connected, connect the USB. (you'll probably need a 2nd person help to that, unless you are very skilled with your hands)
c. i don't think any repair store will get to that level, but i don't know the level of support at your country... also, the process is pretty simple, took me about 2 hours of work to get my phone from really hard brick to fully functional rooted CM device
d. i don't know about MM tots... i would suggest using this guide: http://open-freax.fr/guide-unbrick-your-lg-g3/ it worked for me and many others for sure! it provides you all the files you need. just make sure you have efs backup or at least know your IMEI number (which suppose to be on a sticker under your battery)
Also try another cable, 2 months ago I tried it, was sure I did everything correct but nothing...changed cable and boom

yep. this suppose to be the backup i was talking about!
but if you have your IMEI number so everything is good anyway,
you can go ahead with this guide: http://open-freax.fr/guide-unbrick-your-lg-g3/
i'm sure you can do it, just read it carefully before you begin and do exactly as it sais
I actually grounded at a common ground point the main pin is the upper pin if im not mistaken but i did ground to the frame makes it a hell of a lot easier and i used anlong piece of small gauge speaker wire frayed back with about 4 or 5 strands of copper and if i. Not mistaken u must use firmware tot that u were on before brick
I´ve soldered an "connector" to fix a side at ground and the other side a needle to exactly point the pin. "Connector"
And here´s the pin which must be pinned: Here is the Pin
And if you are opening your G3, just a few screws more and you can fix your temparatures: Tutorial with Video
I also reccomend the thermal mod i record at least 10 to 15 degree cooler temps your rite there any ways
Hi there, I'm in a similar situation: I shorted that pin with GND and tried to flash through BoardDiag (I followed this guide). That's a problem. Before I had this issue, I had a fully working stock KitKat (I flashed the tot with LG Flash Tool) but I made some mistakes and tried to wipe through TWRP and to install other ROM (here's my thread). My phone died. I just think that the problem is with the TOT I am trying to flash with BoardDiag.
My D855 is currently with black screen and no led blinking (only QDLoader 9008 mode).
Any help? Thanks and happy New Year.

I was doing some experiment with DriveDroid and now I am in big mess.
I think I messed up with drivedroid settings and I was not able to see my phone (oneplus 3 rooted LOS 15.1 ) on my computers.
I have tried different computers but all cant detect my phone.
I have tried drivedroid wizard, different usb systems, different usb settings and no luck.
I have tried uninstalling the drivedroid and still no luck.
The phone was going in charging mode only. Its was not going to MTP mode so I can see the phone internal storage in computer
I have tried to do factory reset also but no luck.
Now I mistakenly wiped data partition also and now the phone is with
No OS
No USB detection on phone while in TWRP
No OTG detection
No any ROM.zip file in phone memory.
When I am on TWRP and connect my phone in computer I am seeing same error message and cant see my phone interenal storage.
Now what to do? Any way to flash ROM ?
I am in big mess, and I dont want to spend money on new phone as of now
I hope someone will be my angle and suggest me something to recover and save me from this mess...
Crying out loud now...

Phone is not recognized in computer while in twrp mode so it is not able to connct to adb via USB.
Just get os flashed at OnePlus service center.
I did something same in my previous Samsung phone. I took it to service center and told em that it's not booting up and I don't know the reason. They flashed the firmware from scratch, charged me 250 INR and my phone was back to being normal.

I am not able to follow this as phone is not even coming in USB mode. So its actually soft bricked because can go to twrp and fastboot mode and booting up without OS but USB is not able to detect on my computer.
now the service center guys saying I need to change the motherboard which I dont think is the issue, mother board is not going gone for sure as I can boot up in twrp and fastboot mode. its just may be the usb host controller gone.
Cant decide if I should go ahead with mother board replacement at cost of 10k INR ( phone cost was 28K INR) .

If you use the Method 2 of the Unbrick Guide, you don't need normal adb/usb mode recognition. Follow that guide scrupulously and step by step. Don't skip any and don't rush.

Your phone need not be hardbricked to use the Guide. It will work even on a normal perfectly working phone. If your phone is not recognised while following the Guide, it only means one of two things: either it is a hardware fault or you are not following the Guide properly.

tried to follow the unbrick guide on windows 10 but phone is not seen as QSBULK device in device manager.
I am going to try on windows 7 as few post said that windows 7 would be better for unbricking than windows 10.
finger crossed, right now flashing windows 7 live iso on USB.
so finally I am declaring my op3 as hardware failure as one of my other phone (yureka) easily identified as 9008 mode in my computer but my op3 is not. so all drivers are installed correctly but somehow my op3's usb hub is failed.
i guess time to move on..
thank you everyone for spending time to help me. it really is supportive and encouraging...

Got 6T yesterday.... .. Yay!!
Couldnt find other phone competative in the price range.
Time to change the xda signature...
Although I bought 6T now and am kind of happy with that, but I am still missing my oneplus 3 and want to experiment on getting it revived.
By any chance someone can help me answering my doubts.. I would be greatful..
1. Is it ok to replace oneplus3's motherboard with oneplus 3t motherboard ? If by any chance i get any resell op3 or op3t in dirt cheap price I want to know if its ok to use 3T's motherboard.
2. Is there any way I can turn on the wifi from within TWRP and so I can connect to phone via adb over wifi/tcpip ??
Thank you all in advance.
