Today I started getting OTA 4.4.3 update. My phone is rooted and have no desire to update. The update keeps popping up every few mins. How to I get rid of this? I tries un-checking notifications in Google Play Services but it come back. I am running stock rom.
Thanks

You can use the NotifyClean module in Xposed to remove that notification.

I got an OTA update on my T-Mobile LG G3 about a week ago. The notification keeps coming up despite me disabling the OTA feature in the hidden menu (3845#*851#) and freezing Update Center. What is the solution to stop this notification from coming up?

I was about to ask the same question. I am on the international 855 model, I got successfully into the hidden menu, disabled OTA, and yet I keep receiving notices about an upgrade. It seems that the OTA disable does not work,
I am rooted, TWRP, on a 20F bumped lollipod.
Thanks for any info on this.
PaulCC..
may there were no update。

I'm also rooted an on TWRP. I don't know what 20F bumped lollipod means.
bump. Is there a solution for this OTA update notification?
Have you tried the app Disable Service?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cn.wq.disableservice&hl=en
Open it
Go to System Apps
Find Google Services Framework and tap it
Uncheck "SystemUpdateService"
Restart your device.
The solution that worked for me was to also use the Disable Service app to uncheck "SystemUpdateService" under Google Play Services. After that the notification for the update went away.
This worked for me! Thank you. Hallelujah! The notification has been there for like a month. And it wasn't a normal notification. It would constantly flash and move around on my top bar. It's gone now.
How can I stop the updates on my phone from downloading the 5.0.1 update ad forcing the install. I can't force stop or cancel it. Whenever I connect to WiFi it auto starts the download process.
I've been keeping my WiFi off since I downgraded back to 4.4.4 but I want to be able to use my WiFi.
Any suggestions?
I've already tried:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-att/general/roll-to-4-4-4-5-0-1-ota-t3063452
It succesfully blocked the apps it has on it's block list which I thought was the update for the OTA but it didn't work.

I don't have com.samsung.sdm
When I run debloater it doesn't find it.
I ran the batch file from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-verizon/general/disable-knox-ota-root-t2972263
I put com.samsung.sdm in there. It says it went all the way through and even received the "true" affirmation.
I restarted my phone. Turned on WiFi. and the update started downloading again.

hmmmm, not sure why. I gave the same instructions to a guy with a VZW note 4 and he reverted back and blocked OTA without any problems. I dont see how, but I wonder if the script is somehow carrier specific???? I found this one in the AT&T thread. Try that script and see if it makes a difference
THAT DID IT!!!! Thank you so much mademan420!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

Did anyone ever determine if once the update block is run if the phone could be updated again?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using XDA Free mobile app
Yes, reverting the block or factory resetting the phone will allow you to update, did it myself when lollipop came out.
Hello,
I have a GPE HTC One M8, totally stock, with root, Xposed, Android 5.1 Build # LMY470.H10
I have a major issue with google play version 5.10.30, cant download nor update any app, it force closes giving me an "unfortunately, google play store has stopped" whenever I click the update or install buttons.
to make it work i need to uninstall updates to roll back to version 5.2.13 which i reckon is the version that came when i flashed the latest build. But then Google Play keeps on updating to the latest version and the issue gets back again!
Does anyone else have this issue? any ideas how to fix it? I haven't changed any system settings before the issue started.
Bump

I fixed mine by updating to Marshmallow, now 5.10.30 works well.
Google Play says there is an update for it. However when I try to update it, I get the following message: "Can't install app - HTC Service - HTC PNS can't be installed. Try again, and if the problem continuous, get help troubleshooting, (error code: -505)".
I'm running stuck android 6.0
I have enough free storage space
I can download/update everything else without any problems from Google Play.

It's nothing to be concerned about. It's just an update to push services. No worries to not update. I had HTC Help do something similar before, but didn't care because it's something that I relly didn't need an update for
I have exactly the same issue - and as my camera suddenly went zombie on me (sloooooow so it's currently useless) I assume it could be related to this update.

It's HTC Speak. The most recent update via the Play Store is causing it. Go to the Store, look up HTC Sync, and uninstall the update. (also turn off auto update for it)
Are there only 2 users with this issue?

Hello all, Im having an interesting problem on my Z2 Play. Phone is rooted, stock rom, Xposed, using Magisk v16.0 and v5.6.4.
Every so often Magisk says there is an update (v16.0 which im on), it stops working, and then seems to have uninstalled itself after this update notification. I install this "update" , v16.0(1600) (same one every time) and everything works again. Then in a few weeks Magisk says there is an update again....v16.0(1600), it stops working, uninstalls itself, etc.
Is this normal behavior? Should I try to install version 16.3? Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry if i missed this being covered before. I did search but didnt see anything.
Something uncompatible.
Do not let it auto update

Install a firewall application, and make Magisk offline (block it from the app). No update notification any more

Goodluck.
But I think the problem is Magisk can connects to internet to get info. So, make it offline.
