[Q] Xperia Z1 Compact HARD BRICKED - Xperia Z1 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I had a custom firmware on my Z1C and I followed a tutorial and how to go back to stock firmware.I followed the instructions and now my phone is hard bricked. My phone's led lights either flashes red, does one short flash of red and then one long one, or when it's plugged into a wall charger it's green. I tried all different variations on turning on the phone but it won't simply turn on. There were other tutorials on using Sony Companion and other updaters but that didn't work because everytime I'd plug my phone in. My PC recognizes an ADB driver but the it says it failed.
I think this would help me fix it but I don't quite understand how to do this. I already opened up my phone but can someone please explain on how to do this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2682255
I tried using this link and the one I provided before combined but I think I need certain downloads or something to do it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2646405
Can someone basically just show me how I can unbrick my phone the way using the test point and GND. Please, my phone really needs to come back, and It'd be cool if you showed me how to go back to the official stock rom too. HELP ME PLEASE

Would be good to know which custom rom you had, which tutorial you followed and which rom you installed to brick it

That sucks man, are you gonna buy a new one? I mean a bricked phone is per definition not fixable.
...So is it really bricked or did you just **** up and want help with it? Change your topic.

[Q] HTC Desire DEAD after ROM flashed... need help plz

Hej,
Hopefully you all are fine and good in health...............
Now come to the point actually i had problem with my HTC Desie that was stuck up with its initial screen i mean when i turn on my phone it shows the htc logo then stuck up. Then i tried many times to hard reset but it could not work either, after that i download ROM "RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.2_Radio_32.49.00 .32U_5.11.05.27_release_151783_signed.exe" and run from my pc (running windows 7) but after 65 % i got error during updating process and the utility shows how to recover it then according to the instructoins what i did is
1. Unplug my phone (dissconnect from pc)
2. Remove battery for 3 sec and plug it again.
3. Turn on the phone
4. Plug the USB (connect phone again)
but on the 3rd step when i plugged the battery it won't turn on neither charge or in short totally dead nothing happened to it .
I am requesting to all of you please please please suggest me what to do now, how can it work, how to turn it on again ............ is it bricked ??? if bricked then how to solve this problem ????.
Waiting for your responses......
Thanks in advance.
Be more specific.
- Can you still acces your recovery?
- If not, do you have a carrier specific rom? If so, download that rom, go into the bootloader, choose fastboot and run the rom. You can try this method also if you don't have a carrier specific rom.
Look here for a rom.

Hej,
After long discussion with HTC customer service and trying to convince them that the phone is not in water or in any wet place but they said that they found my phone or take my phone as liquid damage so my phone is out of warranty .
As they said that it has symptoms of liquid damage which turn white color of sticker into red/pink color. I even don't no how come but any how leave this.
Come to point, what can i do now my phone won't start i opened it disassemble then assemble everything but it won't power on even not charge ............
i am still stuck up with it even no idea what to do more
Need some suggestions can i order its flex cable or board or other stuff or what to do ??? how to power it on ???
Waiting for your response.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, no idea for your original problem, but some small explanation where your so called water damage may come from. A friend of mine once had the same problem with a camera. The stickers can change color because of air-moisture. Especially if you carry the phone in your pocket and it is hot, your sweat leads to damp air in you pocket and affects those stickers.
I would try to argue with the htc support that it is not ok that keeping your cell phone in your pocket leads to a water damage. Perhaps they give in.
I wish you good luck with your phone.

[Q] Need help unbricking new phone

Hey guys, this is my first time on this site, I was given this forum from a friend. Anyways, I just had an upgrade today with spring to their Samsung Galaxy S2. I attempted to root the new phone using Heimdall because it was compatible with my Mac instead of Odin. Somewhere along the root the phone became bricked with a flashing blue LED light. I'm unable to get anywhere with it, I've tried to remove the battery for an extended amount of time, attempted to get back to the download screen via volume down & power. The battery was at full charge during the root so I'm not quite sure what went wrong. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Blue LED light?
As far as I know the I9100 doesnt have a blue led light. Looks like your in wrong fourm.
Its likely you have flashed incorrect files to your device and if so you have probably corrupted your bootloader resulting in you needing to open device and flash correct one via JTAG connection.
What model of GS2 do you have?
What rom did you try and flash?

I have the galaxy s2 epic 4g touch, is there another forum specifically for this? Apologies if I'm in the wrong one.
I don't know which rom I tried to flash because the video tutorial I used wasn't as clear as I needed it to be. I had a feeling it would cause a problem using heimdall for Mac instead of Odin for Windows.

That is not a I9100.
This is the forum you need to be in.
Also, in future stay away from sh1ty video guides on video sites/blogs etc unless its a linked one from XDA.

Help... I think I hard bricked my phone!

My phone was having some problems flashing ROMs so I tried everything to get it to flash. It would only flash Samsung ROMs, no CM based ROMs. One of the things I did was to flash a modem/bootloader that was for the T999; I have the T999L. After it successfully installed, I rebooted my phone and it never turned on again. I tried holding the power button and multiple combinations of the volume and power buttons with no success. I tried switching out the battery with no success as well. When I plug it into the computer with a USB cord the red LED light comes on and the computer makes a sound. Other than that, the phone wont turn on. I was running 4.3 Stock ROM before it was hard bricked, was rooted and had TWRP 2.3.3.0... Please help.
That was stupid, you're hard bricked

If you can't get into download mode then it is likely you are hard bricked. For future reference, flashing bootloaders/modems for phones that do not have your exact model number is extremely risky and shouldn't be attempted. Do you still have a warranty? If it can't be turned on, that most likely means they won't be able to see that it was rooted and should replace it.

Let's all take a deep breath. We all make mistakes one time or the other. Even if the Device is hardbricked, does not mean you'd have to replace it.
@kristibaee please follow this De-Bricking thread. There's a video tutorial. Do note, you have most likely only one chance to bring the phone back. So please read everything on that thread before attempting.
Since you had Stock 4.3 before, you must use a 4.3 image to De-Brick. There's one posted on that thread.
NOTE - I suspect that your attempt to flash different bootloader on top of the 4.3 bootloader would have possibly blown your E-Fuse. If that's the case, then there is a possibility that De-Bricking may fail. But don't draw conclusion without attempting.

[Q] I think I completely bricked (?) my phone[SOLVED]

I recently picked up the Z1 Compact, and since it was pretty easy to root and customize I dived into those sorts of things for the first time. For a while I had Cyanogenmod and made a back up and left it on my SD card. Later when the easy root method came out I switched back to stock. I installed dual recovery and made a back up. Some time later ,using my ever so careful brain, I tried to flash my Cyanogenmod back up instead of the stock back up. This leads me to where I am now. Can't get my phone into flash mode. When I hold down the power button it vibrates but nothing else. When I plug the phone into a power source it just keeps flashing a red notification light. I would really appreciate some help in fixing my phone, thank you.

If you bricked it the same way I did as described above, just try to enter flashmode and flash a stock ftf using Flashtool , the page linked shows you how.

You both have bricked your devices.
Please, if you haven't perfected customization, don't do anything you see online.
Go to this and download the unbrick tool for your device then unbrick.
