Hey everyone!
Looking for LG G3 DSLR owners to help out with a simple test. Recently added support for the LG G3 to ShutterBOT (a universal DSLR remote control)... but have not been able to confirm whether it works.
Only have a LG G2 here, and unfortunately due to API limitations it is not supported. Any help would be appreciated!
09/21 - updated APK to 1.1.1409.8
09/29 - link to store release: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.c2nova.shutterbot

It now works on my Canon 5D MKII and Nikon D3000.
I just tried this app on my LG G3 and Canon 70D and I cannot get it to work. Do I need to do anything special on the camera or the phone? I have NFC enabled on the phone.
Thanks,
schumach
Please try the tutorials @ http://www.c2nova.com/shutterbot/support/index.html

C2Nova,
Thank you very much for the link. I followed the steps in the tutorial but there is either a problem with the app, my phone or camera because the camera does not always take the shot when the app is used. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Happy New Year.
I followed the tutorial and it does work great with my Nikon D5000. Using CloudyRom with my D852 G3.
Hello,

yes,but i don't see anything change
could anyone share the zip please?i get 404 error and i want to try something
Please download from this link
https://www.box.com/s/artgh60kcgcvh78f5t7s
As already mentioned, I don't find any improvement with the camera, namely focus!
edit: The mod was not installed by CWM, I had to do it manually.
Please note that this zip file must be installed with TWRP, if you have CWM installer it won't work and you need to install the media_profiles.xml file manually.
Installed this as well but don't know if I see any difference or not
I've read through the forums a bit and have not found an answer to my question so here goes.
I flashed CM12.1 on my D850 a few days ago and love it. Thing is all the different camera apps available that I have tried suck except for Oppo. Still it is no where near equivalent to the stock camera app. Would it be possible to make a driver for the stock camera app that would work with CM12.1 or even other stock roms? If so how would you go about doing that? What would be needed? I have used Xcam for the stock rom and really like that camera app. How hard would that be to port over to CM12.1? The Stock ROM that comes on the G3 is not all that bad but I personally love android when it is in its truest form, but I also like a good camera.
If nothing about can happen are there any custom Stock Roms? Rom's that would allow use of Xcam or stock camera but still allow the level of customization?

No, missing LG framework = no stock camera possible on AOSP roms.

Hey thanks for the respones and yes I know the question has been asked I guess I wasn't clear enough in what I was asking. I meant would it be possible to add what is needed to get the camera to work? Like pick apart the parts of the framework that is needed and integrate it into cm12.1. That would allow the addition of a few cool features of the lg stock rom

You do realise it makes no difference right

IR from LG phones only works with QuickRemote from LG, no more software will work with the IR blaster since LG have ecripted the drivers!
Hi everyone! Help is needed!
I really like the dual camera mode in the camera app. ( front and back camera at the same time active, like on the S4, and so on)
So I decided to installing this app on my J 5 (6.0.1), find the apk was easy on apkmirror's site.
Sadly, after installing the mode doesen't appears in cameras menu.
Can someone add this feature to the camera, like manually or etc?
Thank you!

Yes, but no luck. (6.0.1)
With TWRP the installation seems to be fine, but nothing happens. It did not changed the system files...
Then I just replaced the ShootingModeProvider.apk whit the one from S7, but nothing happened. Camera working, all the same.
Then replaced the SamsungCamera4_ESS.apk with the new SamsungCamera5.apk (renamed) and it's not working. (The camera was stoped error)
i don"t know how to try...
Ported camera from J5 (2016)
Not a big deal, just one difference. Added pictures to show it. Just install apk.

Please tell me how you did that. Ps: for modes you will neex some extra camera apks that can detect modes. Something like CameraModProvider or CameraFilterProvider, CameraFilterManager. I saw these in other phones rom.

Just playing around with Galaxy A7 camera files and some S6/S7 modes.
CameraModPrivider is calling ShootingModeProvider.apk
Getting even closer:
Pro-working
Panorama-gives error massage
Beauty-working
Sorround- starts but nothing happens, maybe because the lack of gyro,
Sports-working
Rear-cam selfie-working
Animated GIF-starts, shoots, but error at saving and exiting the camera
Download-working but still no Dual Camera ...

Sorry for the question, but the HDR function does not catch on J5 2015. Is this camera bug or the 2015 j500m that does not support this feature? :confuso:

What phone do you have? I got the LG Wing today.
I'm looking fot he LG game pad app, but i can't find it. I installed LG game laucher, but i don't have the LG game padd icon like on the V60 (see scree).
I know that the app is for dualscreen cases, but maybe it also works for the LG Wing.

Nevermind, i see that it's already preinstalled. But it doesn't work on the LG wing. I hope they will add support in the next update. Would be great to have a game pad on the second screen.
What stock apps do you want? I will share it here tomorrow.

A bit off topic, & will start a new thread myself, if needed, should I get the phone :
Have you used an alternative launcher app (Nova/etc....)?
If so, is the 2nd screen activity/app pairings the same as when using LG's launcher, or, is some functionality lost?
EDIT/UPDATE (11/07/2020) :
After watching TK Bay's YouTube review of the LG WING, using anything other than the stock launcher will strip away some of the features/functionality of the phone in dual-display mode.
To what extent, he didn't elaborate, I'll find out more when I pick up the phone from T-Mobile later today.
