To get right 4G symbol look for this in system/build.prop
ro.build.target_operator=OPEN
ro.build.target_country=COM
then
Change the OPEN and COM to any variant.
Example: Should look like this when done. Then reboot.
Tmobile USA:
ro.build.target_operator=TMO
ro.build.target_country=US
AT&T USA:
ro.build.target_operator=ATT
ro.build.target_country=US
Verizon USA:
ro.build.target_operator=VZW
ro.build.target_country=US
Sprint USA:
ro.build.target_operator=SPR
ro.build.target_country=US
Cricket Wireless USA
ro.build.target_operator=TMO or use ATT.
ro.build.target_country=US
Metro PCS???
Boost Mobile???
Virgin Mobile???
I'm on Cricket Wireless USA. I didn't like AT&T's 4G lte symbol so I changed mine to TMO. Looks nicer!

Hi - I have the T-mobile U.S. T-zones grandfathered plan, which phone version can I buy to get 3G speeds on that data plan?
I know Note 2 has several models. Someone told me I could use the AT&T US model if I live in a area that has been refarmed (I live in Orlando, FL).
Someone then told me I should get the Canadian model but I am having a hard time finding a site that sells the Canadian model from Wind/Videotron/Mobilicity.
Thanks
Hello,
I have 2 questions,
1. I currently have AT&T Gophone LTE plan. I know G Pro supports LTE and I used LTE network with this phone in South Korea. But with AT&T, it only gets 3G. I know F240S supports LTE band 5 (850Mhz) and AT&T also supports band 5. I even accessed the service menu and changed some settings but nothing changes.
2. I have a Sprint account with Unlimited LTE data plan. I heard G pro has multiple versions but the hardware of them is basically same, which means it supports both GSM and CDMA? So maybe I can use my G pro at Sprint? I went to the Sprint store and the Sprint guy told me the device supports CDMA but its ESN number is not registered on Sprint system so it cannot be used with Sprint. Is there any way to use sprint plan?
Thanks
hi i unlocked the device for using with another gsm carrier and i get data but its always showing 3g in the status bar. the speed and the mobile network type is hsdpa + or hsdpa but it doesnt show h or h+ but 3g
any ideas?
Is your device from sprint? If so it could be the apn configurations aren't correct for your GSM sim. Or the sprint variant of the note 4 is not compatible with the GSM hsdpa.
Is this for domestic USA use or international?

I currently have a Korean variant (F500-L). I have seen a couple of these for sale on swappa and both posts say that this phone will work with T-mobile LTE. However, when I've popped in my SIM, I only get 3G. Does anyone else have any experience with this variant on T-mobile? If you were able to get it to work on LTE, how did you do it?
Enter APN settings for T-Mobile. Google that. Just popping in the sim won't give lte.
i have the same issue.. the APN settings seem to be correct.. but it only shows 3G. Model is F500-L
same here i need help too mine is a f500s lg g4 skt version thanks
Far as I know, phone must support LTE Band 2 and 4 to work on T-Mobile 4G network.
But F500(Korean ver. of G4) doesn't support LTE Band 2 and 4. It supports LTE band 1,3,5 and 7. Therefore a phone will only work under 3G network.
What is the "TMB" and "USC" in these links? Both are for US unlocked phones.
